We present a new method for the measurements of photonuclear reaction flux-weighted average cross sections and isomeric ratios using a laser-driven bremsstrahlung $γ$-ray source. An ultra-bright ultra-fast 60$\,\thicksim\,$250 MeV bremsstrahlung $γ$-ray source was established using the 200 TW laser facility in the Compact Laser Plasma Accelerator Laboratory, Peking University, which could cover the energy range from knocking out neutrons to producing pions. Stable quasi-monoenergetic electron beams were generated via laser wakefield acceleration with a charge of 300$\,\thicksim\,$600 pC per shot. The averaged $γ$-ray intensities ($\geqslant$8 MeV) were higher than 10$^{8}$ per shot and the instantaneous intensities can reach above 10$^{19}$ s$^{-1}$ with a duration time about 6.7 ps. $^{65}$Cu($γ,\,n$)$^{64}$Cu and $^{27}$Al($γ,\,x$)$^{24}$Na reactions were used as $γ$-ray flux monitors in the experiments. The flux-weighted average cross sections and isomeric ratios of $^{197}$Au($γ,\,xn;\,x\,=\,1\thicksim9$) reactions were analyzed through activation measurements. The results showed good agreement with previous works and proved this method to be accurate. The $^{197}$Au($γ,\,xn;\,x\,=\,7\thicksim\,9$) reaction cross sections were first achieved with the highest threshold energy of 71.410 MeV. Theoretical cross sections of TALYS 1.9 were calculated to compare with experiment results. This method offered a unique way of gaining insight into photonuclear reaction research, especially for short-lived isomers which extremely lack experimental data.

We have synthesized YbPdAs with the hexagonal ZrNiAl-type structure, in which the Yb-atoms form a distorted kagome sublattice in the hexagonal basal plane. Magnetic, transport, and thermodynamic measurements indicate that YbPdAs is a low-carrier Kondo lattice compound with an antiferromagnetic transition at $T_\mathrm{N}$ = 6.6 K, which is slightly suppressed in applied magnetic fields up to 9 T. The magnetic entropy at $T_\mathrm{N}$ recovers only 33\% of $R\ln{2}$, the full entropy of the ground state doublet of the Yb-ions. The resistivity displays a $-\ln T$ dependence between 30 and 15 K, followed by a broad maximum at $T\rm_{coh}$ = 12 K upon cooling. Below $T\rm_{coh}$, the magnetoresistance changes from negative to positive, suggesting a crossover from single-ion Kondo scattering processes at intermediate temperatures to coherent Kondo lattice behaviors at low temperatures. Both the Hall resistivity measurements and band structure calculations indicate a relatively low carrier concentration in YbPdAs. Our results suggest that YbPdAs could provide an opportunity for examining the interplay of Kondo physics and magnetic frustration in low carrier systems.

Hein and Prüss [J. Differential Equations, 261(2016)4709-4727] presented a version of Hartman-Grobman type $C^{0}$ linearization result for semilinear hyperbolic evolution equations. They showed that the linearising map (homomorphism) and its inverse are Hölder continuous. An important question: is it possible to improve the regularity of the homomorphisms? In the present paper, we prove that if the mild solutions of semilinear system are bounded, then the regularity of the homomorphisms is Lipchitzian, but the inverse is merely Hölder continuous. We also give a generalized local linearization result in this paper. Finally, some applications end the paper. As pointed out by Backes [J. Differential Equations, 297 (2021) 536-574], even if the diffeomorphism $F$ is $C^{\infty}$, the homomorphism can fail to be locally Lipschitz. The homomorphisms are in general only locally Hölder continuous. However, by establishing two effective dichotomy integral inequalities, we prove that the conjugacy is Lipchitzian, but the inverse is Hölder continuous. Our result is the first one to observe the higher regularity of homomorphisms in the Hartman-Grobman theorem.

Algebraic dichotomy is a generalization of an exponential dichotomy (Lin, JDE2009). This paper gives a version of Hartman-Grobman linearization theorem assuming that linear system admits an algebraic dichotomy, which generalizes the Palmer's linearization theorem. Besides, we prove that the homeomorphism in the linearization theorem (and has a Hölder continuous inverse). Comparing with exponential dichotomy, algebraic dichotomy is more complicate. The exponential dichotomy leads to the estimates $\int_{-\infty}^{t}e^{-α(t-s)}ds$ and $\int_{t}^{+\infty}e^{-α(s-t)}ds$ which are convergent. However, the algebraic dichotomy will leads us to $\int_{-\infty}^{t}\left(\frac{μ(t)}{μ(s)}\right)^{-α}ds$ or $\int_{t}^{+\infty}\left(\frac{μ(s)}{μ(t)}\right)^{-α}ds$, whose the convergence is unknown in the sense of Riemann.

Up to now, for the conventional exchange bias (EB) systems there has been one pinning phase and one pinned phase, and the pinning and pinned phases are inherent to the material and do not mutually transform into each other. Interestingly, we show here that EB is observed in a special system (Fe2O3)0.1(FeTiO3)0.9 (HI9) different from the conventional EB system. Neutron powder diffraction and magnetic measurement confirm that for HI9: i) two types of short range antiferromagnetic ordering coexist, ii) there are two pinning phases and one pinned phase, iii) the pinned phase is not intrinsic to the structure but can be dynamically produced from the pinning phase with the help of an external magnetic field. Consequently, two anomalous EB behaviors are observed: i) both the coercivity (HC) and the exchange bias field (HE) simultaneously decrease to zero at 30 K, ii) for a high cooling field (Hcool) HE decreases logarithmically with increasing Hcool. Using Arrott plots it is confirmed that the first order magnetic phase transformation (FOMPT) from the AFM Fe2+ to ferromagnetic (FM) Fe2+ and the second order magnetic phase transformation (SOMPT) for the process whereby the FM Fe2+ aligns with the external field direction coexist in HI-9. The Morin transition and FOMPT cause the anomalous EB behaviors. This work may provide fresh ideas for research into EB behavior.

Over the last years, considerable attention has been paid to the role of the quaternion differential equations (QDEs) which extend the ordinary differential equations. The theory of QDEs was recently well established and it has wide applications in physics and life science. This paper establishes a systematic frame work for the theory of linear quaternion dynamic equations on time scales (QDETS), which can be applied to wave phenomena modeling, fluid dynamics and filter design. The algebraic structure of the solutions to the QDETS is actually a left- or right- module, not a linear vector space. On the non-commutativity of the quaternion algebra, many concepts and properties of the classical dynamic equations on time scales (DETS) can not be applied. They should be redefined accordingly. Using $q$-determinant, a novel definition of Wronskian is introduced under the framework of quaternions which is different from the standard one in DETS. Liouville's formula for QDETS is also analyzed. Upon these, the solutions to the linear QDETS are established. The Putzer's algorithms to evaluate the fundamental solution matrix for homogeneous QDETS are presented. Furthermore, the variation of constants formula to solve the nonhomogeneous QDETs is given. Some concrete examples are provided to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed algorithms.
