Rosay-Rudin-Spaces, Tame Sets and Danielewski Surfaces
Abstract: We introduce the notion of an ``RR-space''. (RR stands for Rosay and Rudin.) These spaces essentially share the properties of tame subsets known for ${\bf C}^n$. The class of RR-spaces contains character-free complex linear algebraic groups as well as Danielewski surfaces.

Abstract: We present some unexpected examples related to the Kobayashi pseudodistance: For an unramified covering, the vanishing of the Kobayashi pseudodistance on the base does not imply the vanishing on the total space. Implementation of Morse-Witten theory for a polydisperse wet 2D foam simulation
Abstract: The Morse-Witten theory (D. Morse and T. Here we show how the theory may be applied in practice, including allowing for polydispersity in the bubble sizes. The resulting equilibrated 2D structures are consistent with direc… ▽ More

Tame discrete subsets in Stein manifolds
Abstract: For discrete subsets in ${\bf C}^n$ the notion of being "tame" was defined by Rosay and Rudin. We propose a general definition of "tameness" for arbitrary complex manifolds and show that many results classically known for ${\bf C}^n$ may be generalized to semisimple complex Lie groups. For example, every permutation of $SL(2,{\bf Z})$ extends to a biholomorphic self-map of $SL(2,{\bf C}$.
