German Text Embedding Clustering Benchmark
Abstract: This work introduces a benchmark assessing the performance of clustering German text embeddings in different domains. This benchmark is driven by the increasing use of clustering neural text embeddings in tasks that require the grou** of texts (such as topic modeling) and the need for German resources in existing benchmarks. We provide an initial analysis for a range of pre-trained mono- and mul… ▽ More

On unification of colored annular sl(2) knot homology
Abstract: We show that the Khovanov and Cooper-Krushkal models for colored sl(2) homology are equivalent in the case of the unknot, when formulated in the quantum annular Bar-Natan category. Again for the unknot, these two theories are shown to be equivalent to a third colored homology theory, defined using the action of Jones-Wenzl projectors on the quantum annular homology of cables. The proof is given by… ▽ More

Odd annular Bar-Natan category and gl(1|1)
Abstract: We introduce two monoidal supercategories: the odd dotted Temperley-Lieb category $\mathcal{T\!L}_{o,\bullet}(δ)$, which is a generalization of the odd Temperley-Lieb category studied by Brundan and Ellis, and the odd annular Bar-Natan category $\mathcal{BN}_{\!o}(\mathbb{A})$, which generalizes the odd Bar-Natan category studied by Putyra. Experiments as Code: A Concept for Reproducible, Auditable, Debuggable, Reusable, & Scalable Experiments
Abstract: A common concern in experimental research is the auditability and reproducibility of experiments. Experiments are usually designed, provisioned, managed, and analyzed by diverse teams of specialists (e.g., researchers, technicians and engineers) and may require many resources (e.g. cloud infrastructure, specialized equipment). High-Accuracy Ranging and Localization with Ultra-Wideband Communications for Energy-Constrained Devices
Abstract: Ultra-wideband (UWB) communications have gained popularity in recent years for being able to provide distance measurements and localization with high accuracy, which can enhance the capabilities of devices in the Internet of Things (IoT). Since energy efficiency is of utmost concern in such applications, in this work we evaluate the power and energy consumption, distance measurements, and localiza… ▽ More

On the functoriality of sl(2) tangle homology
Abstract: We construct an explicit equivalence between the (bi)category of gl(2) webs and foams and the Bar-Natan (bi)category of Temperley-Lieb diagrams and cobordisms. With this equivalence we can fix functoriality of every link homology theory that factors through the Bar-Natan category. Quantum Link Homology via Trace Functor I
Abstract: Motivated by topology, we develop a general theory of traces and shadows for an endobicategory, which is a~pair: bicategory $\mathbf{C}$ and endobifunctor $Σ\colon \mathbf C \to\mathbf C$. For a graded linear bicategory and a fixed invertible parameter $q$, we quantize this theory by using the endofunctor $Σ_q$ such that $Σ_q α:=q^{-°α}Σα$ for any 2-morphism $α$ and coincides with $Σ$ otherwise.… ▽ More

Annular Khovanov homology and knotted Schur-Weyl representations
Abstract: Let L be a link in a thickened annulus. We show that its sutured annular Khovanov homology carries an action of the exterior current algebra of the Lie algebra sl_2. When L is an m-framed n-cable of a knot K in the three-sphere, its sutured annular Khovanov homology carries a commuting action of the symmetric group S_n.
