Scaling Limit of Kuramoto Model on Random Geometric Graphs
Abstract: We consider the Kuramoto model on a graph with nodes given by $n$ i.i.d. points uniformly distributed on the $d$ dimensional torus. Two nodes are declared neighbors if they are at distance less than $ε$. We prove a scaling limit for this model in compact time intervals as $n\to\infty$ and $ε\to 0$ such that $ε^{d+2}n/\log n \to \infty$. The limiting object is given by the heat equation. On the one… ▽ More

Lipschitz regularity of almost minimizers in a Bernoulli problem with non-standard growth
Abstract: In this work we establish the optimal Lipschitz regularity for non-negative almost minimizers of the one-phase Bernoulli-type functional $$ \mathcal{J}_{\mathrm{G}}(u,Ω) := \int_Ω\left(\mathrm{G}(|\nabla u|)+χ_{\{u>0\}}\right)\,dx $$ where $Ω\subset \mathbb{R}^n$ is a bounded domain and $\mathrm{G}: [0, \infty) \to [0, \infty) $ is a Young function with $\mathrm{G}^{\prime}=g$ satisfying the Liebe… ▽ More

A PDE approach to the existence and regularity of surfaces of minimum mean curvature variation
Abstract: We develop an analytic theory of existence and regularity of surfaces arising from the geometric minimization problem $$\min_{\mathcal{M}}\frac{1}{2}\int_{\mathcal{M}}|\nabla_{\mathcal{M}}H|^2\,dA$$ where $\mathcal{M}$ ranges over all $n$-dimensional manifolds in $\mathbb{R}^{n+1}$ with prescribed boundary, $\nabla_{\mathcal{M}}H$ is the tangential gradient along $\mathcal{M}$ of the mean curvatur… ▽ More

The Kuramoto model on dynamic random graphs
Abstract: We propose a Kuramoto model of coupled oscillators on a time-varying graph, whose dynamics is dictated by a Markov process in the space of graphs. The simplest representative is considering a base graph and then the subgraph determined by $N$ independent random walks on the underlying graph. We prove a synchronization result for solutions starting from a phase-cohesive set independent of the speed… ▽ More

Homogeneous eigenvalue problems in Orlicz-Sobolev spaces
Abstract: In this article we consider a homogeneous eigenvalue problem ruled by the fractional $g-$Laplacian operator whose Euler-Lagrange equation is obtained by minimization of a quotient involving Luxemburg norms. We prove existence of an infinite sequence of variational eigenvalues and study its behavior as the fractional parameter $s\uparrow 1$ among other stability results.

Global Hölder regularity for eigenfunctions of the fractional $g$-Laplacian
Abstract: We establish global Hölder regularity for eigenfunctions of the fractional $g-$Laplacian with Dirichlet boundary conditions where $g=G'$ and $G$ is a Young functions satisfying the so called $Δ_2$ condition. Our results apply to more general semilinear equations of the form $(-Δ_g)^s u = f(u)$.

Free boundary regularity for a class of one-phase problems with non-homogeneous degeneracy
Abstract: We consider a one-phase free boundary problem governed by doubly degenerate fully non-linear elliptic PDEs with non-zero right hand side, which should be understood as an analog (non-variational) of certain double phase functionals in the theory of non-autonomous integrals. By way of brief elucidating example, such non-linear problems in force appear in the mathematical theory of combustion, as we… ▽ More

Maximum principles, Liouville theorem and symmetry results for the fractional $g-$Laplacian
Abstract: We study different maximum principles for non-local non-linear operators with non-standard growth that arise naturally in the context of fractional Orlicz-Sobolev spaces and whose most notable representative is the fractional $g-$Laplacian: \[ (-Δ_g)^su(x):=\textrm{p.v.}\int_{\mathbb{R}^n}g\left(\frac{u(x)-u(y)}{|x-y|^s}\right)\frac{dy}{|x-y|^{n+s}}, \] being $g$ the derivative of a Young function… ▽ More

Interior and up to the boundary regularity for the fractional $g$-Laplacian: the convex case
Abstract: We establish interior and up to the boundary Hölder regularity estimates for weak solutions of the Dirichlet problem for the fractional $g-$Laplacian with bounded right hand side and $g$ convex. These are the first regularity results available in the literature for integro-differential equations in the context of fractional Orlicz-Sobolev spaces.

Fractional eigenvalues in Orlicz spaces with no $Δ_2$ condition
Abstract: We study the eigenvalue problem for the $g-$Laplacian operator in fractional order Orlicz-Sobolev spaces, where $g=G'$ and neither $G$ nor its conjugated function satisfy the $Δ_2$ condition. Our main result is the existence of a nontrivial solution to such a problem; this is achieved by first showing that the corresponding minimization problem has a solution and then applying a generalized Lagran… ▽ More

Sharp regularity for degenerate obstacle type problems: a geometric approach
Abstract: We prove sharp regularity estimates for solutions of obstacle type problems driven by a class of degenerate fully nonlinear operators; more specifically, we consider viscosity solutions of \[ |D u|^γF(x, D^2u) = f(x)χ_{\{u>φ\}} \textrm{ in } B_1 \] with $γ>0$, $φ\in C^{1, α}(B_1)$ for some $α\in(0,1]$ and $f\in L^\infty(B_1)$ constrained to satisfy \[ u\geq φ\textrm{ in } B_1 \] and prove that the… ▽ More

$C^{2s}$ regularity for fully nonlinear nonlocal equations with bounded right hand side
Abstract: We establish sharp $C^{2s}$ interior regularity estimates for solutions of fully nonlinear nonlocal equations with bounded right hand side. More precisely, we show that if $I$ is a fully nonlinear nonlocal concave or convex elliptic operator and $f\in L^\infty(B_1)$ then \[ Iu=f\quad\textrm{ in }\quad B_1 \quad \Rightarrow\quad u\in C^{2s}(B_{1/2}). \] This result generalizes the linear counterpar… ▽ More
