A note on hidden classes in spinor classification
Abstract: The Lounesto classification is a well-established scheme for categorizing spinors based on their physical content, which are determined by their associated bilinear forms. It consists of six disjoint classes encompassing the known spinors within the context of the standard model of high-energy physics. However, advancements in theories beyond the standard model have opened the door to potential ne… ▽ More

Recovering the activity parameters of an active fluid confined in a sphere
Abstract: The properties of an active fluid, for example, a bacterial bath or a collection of microtubules and molecular motors, can be accessed through the dynamics of passive particle probes. Here, in the perspective of analyzing experimental situations of confinement in droplets, we consider the kinematics of a negatively buoyant probe particle in an active fluid, both confined within a spherical domain.… ▽ More

Singular spinors as expansion coefficients of local spin-half fermionic and bosonic fields: On the two-fold Wigner degeneracy
Abstract: By scrutinizing the singular sector of the Lounesto spinor classification, we investigate the correct definition of the expansion coefficient functions of local fermionic fields within a fully Lorentz covariant theory. As we can observe, a careful definition of the adjoint structure, directed towards local fields, maps singular spinors into class-2 according to a general spinor classification. Fur… ▽ More

Revisiting Takahashi's inversion theorem in discrete symmetry-based dual frameworks
Abstract: The so-called Takahashi's \emph{Inversion Theorem}, the reconstruction of a given spinor based on its bilinear covariants, are re-examined, considering alternative dual structures. In contrast to the classical results, where the Dirac dual structure plays the central role, new duals are built using the discrete symmetries $\mathcal{C}, \mathcal{P}, \mathcal{T}$. Their combinations are also taken i… ▽ More

Regular spinors and fermionic fields
Abstract: Bearing in mind the Lounesto spinor classification, we connect the expansion coefficients of well behaved fermionic quantum field, i.e., a local field within a full Lorentz covariant theory, with and only with a given subclass of Type-2 spinors according to Lounesto. We comment on theoretical possibilities as well as physical outputs for the other cases.

Abstract: In this manuscript we report the flag-dipole spinors dual structure direct definition and analyze the properties behind the corresponding operator which generates such structure. This particular construction may be interesting for cosmological, phenomenological and mathematical physics applications. In addition, we analyse the behaviour of the flag-dipole spinors under action of discrete symmetrie… ▽ More

Remarks on mass dimension one fermions: The underlying aspects, bilinear forms, Spinor Classification and RIM decomposition
Abstract: In the present essay we review the underlying physical information behind the first concrete example describing a mass dimension one fermion - namely Elko spinors. We start the program exploring the physical information by evaluating the Elko bilinear forms, both within the proper orthochronous Lorentz subgroup as well as within the VSR theory. As we shall see, such structures do not hold the righ… ▽ More

Abstract: In this report we advance in exploring further details concerning the formal aspects of the construction of a Flag-dipole spinor. We report a (re-)definition of the dual structure which provide a Lorentz invariant and non-null norm, ensuring a local theory. With the new dual structure at hands, we look towards define relevant physical amounts, e.g., spin sums and quantum field operator. As we will… ▽ More

More specifically, we investigate how the bi-spinorial structures behave under discrete symmetries, as well as analyse some consequences on the spinors dynamics. In addition, we find an interesting relation between the spinor… ▽ More

Abstract: In this communication we briefly report an unexpected theoretical discovery which emerge from the map** of Elko mass-dimension-one spinors into single helicity spinors. Such procedure unveils a class of spinor which is classified as type-4 spinor field within Lounesto classification. In this paper we explore the underlying physical and mathematical contents of the type-4 spinor.

Abstract: We define a two-dimensional space called the spinor-plane, where all spinors that can be decomposed in terms of Restricted Inomata-McKinley (RIM) spinors reside, and describe some of its properties. Some interesting results concerning the construction of RIM-decomposable spinors emerge when we look at them by means of their spinor-plane representations. Mass-dimension-one spinors in the context of non-linear cosmology
Abstract: The RIM spinors (Restricted Inomata McKinley spinors) constitutes a very particular class of solutions of the non-linear Heisenberg equation. As a matter of fact, a free linear massive or even mass-less Dirac field can be decomposed into a combination of RIM spinors and such a procedure shows up to be useful to describe neutrino physics and neutrinos oscillation. A robust geometric and topological structure can be manifested from the spinor space, wherein, for instance, the first and second homotopy group… ▽ More

On the bilinear covariants associated to mass dimension one spinors
Abstract: In this paper we approach the issue of Clifford algebra basis deformation, allowing for bilinear covariants associated to Elko spinors which satisfy the Fierz-Pauli-Kofink identities. We present a complete analysis of covariance, taking into account the involved dual structure associated to Elko. Moreover, the possible generalizations to the recently presented new dual structure are performed.

Abstract: There are two properties shared by all known crossing-minimizing geometric drawings of $K_n$, for $n$ a multiple of 3. First, the underlying $n$-point set of these drawings has exactly $3\binom{k+2}{2}$ $(\le k)$-edges, for all $0\le k < n/3$. Second, all such drawings have the $n$ points divided into three groups of equal size; this last property is captured under the concept of 3-decomposability… ▽ More
