Two associative operads of packed words

The associative operad is a central structure in operad theory, defined on the linear span of the set of permutations. The associative operad is a central structure in operad theory, defined on the linear span of the set of permutations. We build two analogs of the associative operad on the linear span of the set of packed words which turn out to be set-theoretical. By seeing a packed word as a surjective map between two finite sets, our first operad is graded by the cardinality of the domain and the second one, by the cardinality of the codomain. In the same way as the associative operad of permutations contains as quotients the duplicial and interstice operads, we derive similar structures for our operads of packed words. We propose also an analogue of Dynkin idempotent of Zie algebras in this context of operads of packed words.

Schröder trees, antipode formulas and non-commutative probability
Authors:

Abstract:
We obtain a cancellation-free formula, represented in terms of Schröder trees, for the antipode in the double tensor Hopf algebra introduced by Ebrahimi-Fard and Patras. We apply the antipode formula in the context of non-commutative probability and recover cumulant-moment formulas as well as a new expression for Anshelevich's free Wick polynomials in terms of Schröder trees.

Abstract:
We give the explicit description of the NPL-operad structure on the free commutative monoid $\mathbf E\circ \mathbf q$ generated by a given positive operad $\mathbf q$. We propose to name NPL-operad a weak form of operad in which the nested associativity axiom is weakened down to a nested pre-Lie condition. This structure is new up to our knowledge.

Antipode formulas for pattern Hopf algebras

The permutation pattern Hopf algebra is a commutative filtered and connected Hopf algebra. Its product structure stems from counting patterns of a permutation, interpreting the coefficients as permutation quasi-shuffles. The Hopf algebra was shown to be a free commutative algebra and to fit into a general framework of pattern Hopf algebras, via species with restrictions.
In this paper we introduce the cancellation-free and grou**-free formula for the antipode of the permutation pattern Hopf algebra. To obtain this formula, we use the popular sign-reversing involution method, by Benedetti and Sagan. This formula has applications on polynomial invariants on permutations, in particular for obtaining reciprocity theorems. On our way, we also introduce the packed word patterns Hopf algebra and present a formula for its antipode.
Other pattern algebras are discussed here, notably on parking functions, which recovers notions recently studied by Adeniran and Pudwell, and by Qiu and Remmel.

We construct three new combinatorial Hopf algebras based on the Loday-Ronco operations on planar binary trees. The first and second algebras are defined on planar trees and labeled planar trees extending the Loday-Ronco and Malvenuto-Reutenauer Hopf algebras respectively. We show that the latter is bidendriform which implies that is also free, cofree, and self-dual. The third algebra involves a new visualization of parking functions as decorated binary trees; it is also bidendriform, free, cofree, and self-dual, and therefore abstractly isomorphic to the algebra PQSym of Novelli and Thibon.
We define partial orders on the objects indexing each of these three Hopf algebras, one of which, when restricting to (m+1)-ary trees, coarsens the m-Tamari order of Bergeron and Préville-Ratelle. We show that multiplication of dual fundamental basis elements are given by intervals in each of these orders.
Finally, we use an axiomatized version of the techniques of Aguiar and Sottile on the Malvenuto-Reutenauer Hopf algebra to define a monomial basis on each of our Hopf algebras, and to show that comultiplication is cofree on the monomial elements. This in particular, implies the cofreeness of the Hopf algebra on planar trees. We also find explicit positive formulas for the multiplication on monomial basis and a cancellation-free and grou**-free formula for the antipode of monomial elements.
