We propose a new approach to building log-canonical coordinate charts for any simply-connected simple Lie group $\G$ and arbitrary Poisson-homogeneous bracket on $\G$ associated with Belavin--Drinfeld data. Given a pair of representatives $r, r'$ from two arbitrary Belavin--Drinfeld classes, we build a rational map from $\G$ with the Poisson structure defined by two appropriately selected representatives from the standard class to $\G$ equipped with the Poisson structure defined by the pair $r, r'$. In the $A_n$ case, we prove that this map is invertible whenever the pair $r, r'$ is drawn from aperiodic Belavin--Drinfeld data, as defined in~\cite{GSVple}. We further apply this construction to recover the existence of a regular complete cluster structure compatible with the Poisson structure associated with the pair $r, r'$ in the aperiodic case.

We discuss various differences in the instanton-based calculations of the $β$ functions in theories such as Yang-Mills and $\mathbb{CP}(N\!-\!1)$ on one hand, and $λφ^4$ theory with Symanzik's sign-reversed prescription for the coupling constant $λ$ on the other hand. Although the aforementioned theories are asymptotically free, in the first two theories, instantons are topological, whereas the Fubini-Lipatov instanton in the third theory is topologically trivial. The spectral structure in the background of the Fubini-Lipatov instanton can be continuously deformed into that in the flat background, establishing a one-to-one correspondence between the two spectra. However, when considering topologically nontrivial backgrounds for Yang-Mills and $\mathbb{CP}(N\!-\!1)$ theories, the spectrum undergoes restructuring. In these cases, a mismatch between the spectra around the instanton and the trivial vacuum occurs.

We propose a new method for construction of the absolute permeability map consistent with the interpreted results of well logging and well test measurements in oil reservoirs. Nadaraya-Watson kernel regression is used to approximate two-dimensional spatial distribution of the rock permeability. Parameters of the kernel regression are tuned by solving the optimization problem in which, for each well placed in an oil reservoir, we minimize the difference between the actual and predicted values of (i) absolute permeability at the well location (from well logging); (ii) absolute integral permeability of the domain around the well and (iii) skin factor (from well tests). Inverse problem is solved via multiple solutions to forward problems, in which we estimate the integral permeability of reservoir surrounding a well and the skin factor by the surrogate model. The last one is developed using an artificial neural network trained on the physics-based synthetic dataset generated using the procedure comprising the numerical simulation of bottomhole pressure decline curve in reservoir simulator followed by its interpretation using a semi-analytical reservoir model. The developed method for reservoir permeability map construction is applied to the available reservoir model (Egg Model) with highly heterogeneous permeability distribution due to the presence of highly-permeable channels. We showed that the constructed permeability map is hydrodynamically similar to the original one. Numerical simulations of production in the reservoir with constructed and original permeability maps are quantitatively similar in terms of the pore pressure and fluid saturations distribution at the end of the simulation period. Moreover, we obtained an good match between the obtained results of numerical simulations in terms of the flow rates and total volumes of produced oil, water and injected water.

We consider the massless charge-$N$ Schwinger model and its deformation with two four-fermion operators. Without the deformations, this model exhibits chiral symmetry breaking without confinement. It is usually asserted that the massless Schwinger model is always deconfined and a string tension emerges only when a mass for the fermion field is turned on. We show that in the presence of these four-fermion operators, the massless theory can in fact confine. One of the four-fermion deformations is chirally neutral, and is a marginal deformation. The other operator can be relevant or irrelevant, and respects a $\mathbb{Z}_2$ subgroup of chiral symmetry for even $N$, hence forbidding a mass term. When it is relevant, even the exactly massless theory exhibits both confinement and spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking. The construction is analogous to QCD(adj) in 2d. While the theory without four-fermion deformations is deconfined, the theory with these deformations is generically in a confining phase. We study the model on $\mathbb{R}^2$ using bosonization, and also analyze the mechanism of confinement on $\mathbb{R}\times S^1$, where we find that confinement is driven by fractional instantons.

Selection rules arising from accidental or broken symmetries may be sufficiently obscure that their agency is hidden, leading to the appearance of "magic zeroes" -- quantities that are suppressed without apparent recourse to a symmetry explanation. Magic zeroes and their corresponding hidden symmetries may shed new light on parametric hierarchies in the Standard Model and beyond. We identify the hidden symmetry responsible for a recently-discovered magic zero, the vanishing of the putative leading contribution to the anomalous dipole moments of the muon upon integrating out weak doublet and singlet vector-like fermions. Some of the tools involved -- spurion analysis leveraging discrete symmetries of the free theory, field redefinitions, spectator fields, and non-supersymmetric non-renormalization theorems -- may prove useful in the hunt for new magic zeroes and their hidden symmetries.

We describe a stacked model for predicting the cumulative fluid production for an oil well with a multistage-fracture completion based on a combination of Ridge Regression and CatBoost algorithms. The model is developed based on an extended digital field data base of reservoir, well and fracturing design parameters. The database now includes more than 5000 wells from 23 oilfields of Western Siberia (Russia), with 6687 fracturing operations in total. Starting with 387 parameters characterizing each well, including construction, reservoir properties, fracturing design features and production, we end up with 38 key parameters used as input features for each well in the model training process. The model demonstrates physically explainable dependencies plots of the target on the design parameters (number of stages, proppant mass, average and final proppant concentrations and fluid rate). We developed a set of methods including those based on the use of Euclidean distance and clustering techniques to perform similar (offset) wells search, which is useful for a field engineer to analyze earlier fracturing treatments on similar wells. These approaches are also adapted for obtaining the optimization parameters boundaries for the particular pilot well, as part of the field testing campaign of the methodology. An inverse problem (selecting an optimum set of fracturing design parameters to maximize production) is formulated as optimizing a high dimensional black box approximation function constrained by boundaries and solved with four different optimization methods: surrogate-based optimization, sequential least squares programming, particle swarm optimization and differential evolution. A recommendation system containing all the above methods is designed to advise a production stimulation engineer on an optimized fracturing design.

The calculation of the two-loop coefficient of the Gell-Mann-Low function becomes trivial -- it reduces to a few algebraic operations on already known expressions. As examples, spinor, scalar, and supersymmetric electrodynamics are considered. Although the respective results for $β^{(2)}$ are known in the literature, both the method of calculation and certain points pertaining to the construction of the operator product expansion are new.

The violation of Baryon Number, $\mathcal{B}$, is an essential ingredient for the preferential creation of matter over antimatter needed to account for the observed baryon asymmetry in the universe. However, such a process has yet to be experimentally observed. The HIBEAM/NNBAR %experiment program is a proposed two-stage experiment at the European Spallation Source (ESS) to search for baryon number violation. The program will include high-sensitivity searches for processes that violate baryon number by one or two units: free neutron-antineutron oscillation ($n\rightarrow \bar{n}$) via mixing, neutron-antineutron oscillation via regeneration from a sterile neutron state ($n\rightarrow [n',\bar{n}'] \rightarrow \bar{n}$), and neutron disappearance ($n\rightarrow n'$); the effective $Δ\mathcal{B}=0$ process of neutron regeneration ($n\rightarrow [n',\bar{n}'] \rightarrow n$) is also possible. The program can be used to discover and characterise mixing in the neutron, antineutron, and sterile neutron sectors. The experiment addresses topical open questions such as the origins of baryogenesis, the nature of dark matter, and is sensitive to scales of new physics substantially in excess of those available at colliders. A goal of the program is to open a discovery window to neutron conversion probabilities (sensitivities) by up to three orders of magnitude compared with previous searches. The opportunity to make such a leap in sensitivity tests should not be squandered. The experiment pulls together a diverse international team of physicists from the particle (collider and low energy) and nuclear physics communities, while also including specialists in neutronics and magnetics.

We review the present status of the Standard Model calculation of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. This is performed in a perturbative expansion in the fine-structure constant $α$ and is broken down into pure QED, electroweak, and hadronic contributions. The pure QED contribution is by far the largest and has been evaluated up to and including $\mathcal{O}(α^5)$ with negligible numerical uncertainty. The electroweak contribution is suppressed by $(m_μ/M_W)^2$ and only shows up at the level of the seventh significant digit. It has been evaluated up to two loops and is known to better than one percent. Hadronic contributions are the most difficult to calculate and are responsible for almost all of the theoretical uncertainty. The leading hadronic contribution appears at $\mathcal{O}(α^2)$ and is due to hadronic vacuum polarization, whereas at $\mathcal{O}(α^3)$ the hadronic light-by-light scattering contribution appears. Given the low characteristic scale of this observable, these contributions have to be calculated with nonperturbative methods, in particular, dispersion relations and the lattice approach to QCD. The largest part of this review is dedicated to a detailed account of recent efforts to improve the calculation of these two contributions with either a data-driven, dispersive approach, or a first-principle, lattice-QCD approach. The final result reads $a_μ^\text{SM}=116\,591\,810(43)\times 10^{-11}$ and is smaller than the Brookhaven measurement by 3.7$σ$. The experimental uncertainty will soon be reduced by up to a factor four by the new experiment currently running at Fermilab, and also by the future J-PARC experiment. This and the prospects to further reduce the theoretical uncertainty in the near future-which are also discussed here-make this quantity one of the most promising places to look for evidence of new physics.

We discuss the use of dispersion relations for the evaluation of the pseudoscalar contributions to the muon anomalous magnetic moment. We point out that, in the absence of experimental data, reconstruction of light-by-light scattering amplitudes from their absorptive parts is ambiguous and requires additional theoretical input.
The need for an additional input makes dispersive computations of the hadronic light-by-light scattering contribution to g-2 akin to phenomenological models, in spite of pretense to the contrary. In particular, we argue that the recent proposal [1], based on the dispersive approach, satisfies short distance constraints at the expense of unjustifiably large deviations from the chiral limit.

Growing amount of hydraulic fracturing (HF) jobs in the recent two decades resulted in a significant amount of measured data available for development of predictive models via machine learning (ML). In multistage fractured completions, post-fracturing production analysis reveals that different stages produce very non-uniformly due to a combination of geomechanics and fracturing design factors. Hence, there is a significant room for improvement of current design practices. The workflow is essentially split into two stages. As a result of the first stage, the present paper summarizes the efforts into the creation of a digital database of field data from several thousands of multistage HF jobs on wells from circa 20 different oilfields in Western Siberia, Russia. In terms of the number of points (fracturing jobs), the present database is a rare case of a representative dataset of about 5000 data points. Each point in the data base contains the vector of 92 input variables (the reservoir, well and the frac design parameters) and the vector of production data, which is characterized by 16 parameters, including the target, cumulative oil production. Data preparation has been done using various ML techniques: the problem of missing values in the database is solved with collaborative filtering for data imputation; outliers are removed using visualisation of cluster data structure by t-SNE algorithm. The production forecast problem is solved via CatBoost algorithm. Prediction capability of the model is measured with the coefficient of determination (R^2) and reached 0.815. The inverse problem (selecting an optimum set of fracturing design parameters to maximize production) will be considered in the second part of the study to be published in another paper, along with a recommendation system for advising DESC and production stimulation engineers on an optimized fracturing design.

Recently a detailed correspondence was established between, on one side, four and five-dimensional large-N supersymmetric gauge theories with $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetry and adjoint matter, and, on the other side, integrable 1+1-dimensional quantum hydrodynamics. Under this correspondence the phenomenon of dimensional transmutation, familiar in asymptotically free QFTs, gets mapped to the transition from the elliptic Calogero-Moser many-body system to the closed Toda chain. In this paper we attempt to formulate the hydrodynamical counterpart of the dimensional transmutation phenomenon inspired by the identification of the periodic Intermediate Long Wave (ILW) equation as the hydrodynamical limit of the elliptic Calogero-Moser/Ruijsenaars-Schneider system. We also conjecture that the chiral flow in the vortex fluid provides the proper framework for the microscopic description of such dimensional transmutation in the 1+1d hydrodynamics. We provide a geometric description of this phenomenon in terms of the ADHM moduli space.

Engineering simulators used for steady-state multiphase pipe flows are commonly utilized to predict pressure drop. Such simulators are typically based on either empirical correlations or first-principles mechanistic models. The simulators allow evaluating the pressure drop in multiphase pipe flow with acceptable accuracy. However, the only shortcoming of these correlations and mechanistic models is their applicability. In order to extend the applicability and the accuracy of the existing accessible methods, a method of pressure drop calculation in the pipeline is proposed. The method is based on well segmentation and calculation of the pressure gradient in each segment using three surrogate models based on Machine Learning algorithms trained on a representative lab data set from the open literature. The first model predicts the value of a liquid holdup in the segment, the second one determines the flow pattern, and the third one is used to estimate the pressure gradient. To build these models, several ML algorithms are trained such as Random Forest, Gradient Boosting Decision Trees, Support Vector Machine, and Artificial Neural Network, and their predictive abilities are cross-compared. The proposed method for pressure gradient calculation yields $R^2 = 0.95$ by using the Gradient Boosting algorithm as compared with $R^2 = 0.92$ in case of Mukherjee and Brill correlation and $R^2 = 0.91$ when a combination of Ansari and Xiao mechanistic models is utilized. The method for pressure drop prediction is also validated on three real field cases. Validation indicates that the proposed model yields the following coefficients of determination: $R^2 = 0.806, 0.815$ and 0.99 as compared with the highest values obtained by commonly used techniques: $R^2 = 0.82$ (Beggs and Brill correlation), $R^2 = 0.823$ (Mukherjee and Brill correlation) and $R^2 = 0.98$ (Beggs and Brill correlation).

We continue the study of multiple cluster structures in the rings of regular functions on $GL_n$, $SL_n$ and $\operatorname{Mat}_n$ that are compatible with Poisson-Lie and Poisson-homogeneous structures. According to our initial conjecture, each class in the Belavin-Drinfeld classification of Poisson--Lie structures on a semisimple complex group $\mathcal G$ corresponds to a cluster structure in $\mathcal O(\mathcal G)$. Here we prove this conjecture for a large subset of Belavin-Drinfeld (BD) data of $A_n$ type, which includes all the previously known examples. Namely, we subdivide all possible $A_n$ type BD data into oriented and non-oriented kinds. In the oriented case, we single out BD data satisfying a certain combinatorial condition that we call aperiodicity and prove that for any BD data of this kind there exists a regular cluster structure compatible with the corresponding Poisson-Lie bracket. In fact, we extend the aperiodicity condition to pairs of oriented BD data and prove a more general result that establishes an existence of a regular cluster structure on $SL_n$ compatible with a Poisson bracket homogeneous with respect to the right and left action of two copies of $SL_n$ equipped with two different Poisson-Lie brackets. If the aperiodicity condition is not satisfied, a compatible cluster structure has to be replaced with a generalized cluster structure. We will address this situation in future publications.

We analyze status of ${\bf C}$, ${\bf P}$ and ${\bf T}$ discrete symmetries in application to neutron-antineutron transitions breaking conservation of baryon charge ${\cal B}$ by two units. At the level of free particles all these symmetries are preserved. This includes ${\bf P}$ reflection in spite of the opposite internal parities usually ascribed to neutron and antineutron. Explanation, which goes back to the 1937 papers by E. Majorana and by G. Racah, is based on a definition of parity satisfying ${\bf P}^{2}=-1$, instead of ${\bf P}^{2}=1$, and ascribing $ {\bf P}=i$ to both, neutron and antineutron. We apply this to ${\bf C}$, ${\bf P}$ and ${\bf T}$ classification of six-quark operators with $|Δ{\cal B} |=2$. It allows to specify operators contributing to neutron-antineutron oscillations. Remaining operators contribute to other $|Δ{\cal B} |=2$ processes and, in particular, to nuclei instability. We also show that presence of external magnetic field does not induce any new operator mixing the neutron and antineutron provided that rotational invariance is not broken.

We revisit the issue of the vacuum angle theta dependence in weakly coupled (Higgsed) Yang-Mills theories. Two most popular mechanisms for eliminating physical theta dependence are massless quarks and axions. Anselm and Johansen noted that the vacuum angle theta(EW), associated with the electroweak SU(2) in the Glashow-Weinberg-Salam model, is unobservable although all fermion fields obtain masses through Higgsing and there is no axion. We generalize this idea to a broad class of Higgsed Yang-Mills theories.
In the second part we consider consequences of Grand Unification. We start from a unifying group, e.g. SU(5), at a high ultraviolet scale and evolve the theory down within the Wilson procedure. If on the way to infrared the unifying group is broken down into a few factors, all factor groups inherit one and the same theta angle -- that of the unifying group. We show that embedding the SM in SU(5) drastically changes the Anselm-Johansen conclusion: the electroweak vacuum angle theta(EW), equal to theta(QCD) becomes in principle observable in ΔB=ΔL =\pm 1 processes. We also note in passing that if the axion mechanism is set up above the unification scale, we have one and the same axion in the electroweak theory and QCD, and their impacts are interdependent.

We discuss the computation of the Higgs boson decay amplitude to two photons through the W-loop using dispersion relations. The imaginary part of the form factor F_W(s) that parametrizes this decay is unambiguous in four dimensions. When it is used to calculate the unsubtracted dispersion integral, the finite result for the form factor F_W(s) is obtained. However, the F_W(s) obtained in this way differs by a constant term from the result of a diagrammatic computation, based on dimensional regularization. It is easy to accommodate the missing constant by writing a once-subtracted dispersion relation for F_W(s) but it is unclear why the subtraction needs to be done. The goal of this paper is to investigate this question in detail. We show that the correct constant can be recovered within a dispersive approach in a number of ways that, however, either require an introduction of an ultraviolet regulator or unphysical degrees of freedom; unregulated and unsubtracted computations in the unitary gauge are insufficient, in spite of the fact that such computations give a finite result.

We study chiral anomalies in $\mathcal N=(0, 1)$ and $(0, 2)$ two-dimensional minimal sigma models defined on generic homogeneous spaces $G/H$. Such minimal theories contain only (left) chiral fermions and in certain cases are inconsistent because of "incurable" anomalies. We explicitly calculate the anomalous fermionic effective action and show how to remedy it by adding a series of local counter-terms. In this procedure, we derive a local anomaly matching condition, which is demonstrated to be equivalent to the well-known global topological constraint on $p_1(G/H)$. More importantly, we show that these local counter-terms further modify and constrain "curable" chiral models, some of which, for example, flow to nontrivial infrared superconformal fixed point. Finally, we also observe an interesting relation between $\mathcal N=(0, 1)$ and $(0, 2)$ two-dimensional minimal sigma models and supersymmetric gauge theories.
This paper generalizes and extends the results of our previous publication arXiv:1510.04324.

The two-dimensional minimal supersymmetric sigma models with homogeneous target spaces $G/H$ and chiral fermions of the same chirality are revisited. We demonstrate that the Moore-Nelson consistency condition revealing a global anomaly in CP(N-1) (with N>2 and ${\mathcal N}=(0,2)$ supersymmetry) due to a nontrivial first Pontryagin class is in one-to-one correspondence with the local anomalies of isometries in these models. These latter anomalies are generated by fermion loop diagrams which we explicitly calculate. In the case of O}(N) sigma models the first Pontryagin class vanishes, so there is no global obstruction for the minimal ${\mathcal N}=(0,1)$ supersymmetrization of these models. We show that at the local level isometries in these models are anomaly free. Thus, there are no obstructions to quantizing the minimal ${\mathcal N}=(0,1)$ models with the $S^{N-1}= SO(N)/SO(N-1)$ target space. This also includes CP(1) (equivalent to $S^{2}$) which is an exceptional case from the CP(N-1) series. We also discuss a relation between the geometric and gauged formulations of the CP}(N-1) models.

We construct "connected" (0,2) sigma models starting from n copies of (2,2) CP(N-1) models. General aspects of models of this type (known as T+O deformations) had been previously studied in the context of heterotic string theories. Our construction presents a natural generalization of the nonminimally deformed (2,2) model with an extra (0,2) fermion superfield on tangent bundle T CP(N-1) x C^1. We had thoroughly analyzed the latter model previously, found the exact beta function and a spontaneous breaking of supersymmetry. In contrast, in certain connected sigma models the spontaneous breaking of supersymmetry disappears. We study the connected sigma models in the large-N limit finding supersymmetric vacua and determining the particle spectrum. While the Witten index vanishes in all the models under consideration, in these special cases of connected models one can use a permutation symmetry to define a modification of the Witten index which does not vanish. This eliminates the spontaneous breaking of supersymmetry. We then examine the exact beta functions of our connected (0,2) sigma models.

We study N=(0,2) deformed (2,2) two-dimensional sigma models. Such heterotic models were discovered previously on the world sheet of non-Abelian strings supported by certain four-dimensional N=1 theories. We study geometric aspects and holomorphic properties of these models, and derive a number of exact expressions for the beta functions in terms of the anomalous dimensions analogous to the NSVZ beta function in four-dimensional Yang-Mills. Instanton calculus provides a straightforward method for the derivation. The anomalous dimensions are calculated up to two loops implying that one of the beta functions is explicitly known up to three loops. The fixed point in the ratio of the couplings found previously at one loop is not shifted at two loops. We also consider the N=(0,2) supercurrent supermultiplet (the so-called hypercurrent) and its anomalies, as well as the "Konishi anomaly." This gives us another method for finding exact $β$ functions. We prove that despite the chiral nature of the models under consideration quantum loops preserve isometries of the target space.

The pentagram map that associates to a projective polygon a new one formed by intersections of short diagonals was introduced by R. Schwartz and was shown to be integrable by V. Ovsienko, R. Schwartz and S. Tabachnikov. Recently, M. Glick demonstrated that the pentagram map can be put into the framework of the theory of cluster algebras.
In this paper, we extend and generalize Glick's work by including the pentagram map into a family of discrete completely integrable systems. Our main tool is Poisson geometry of weighted directed networks on surfaces developed by M. Gekhtman, M. Shapiro, and A. Vainshtein. The ingredients necessary for complete integrability -- invariant Poisson brackets, integrals of motion in involution, Lax representation -- are recovered from combinatorics of the networks. Our integrable systems depend on one discrete parameter $k>1$. The case $k=3$ corresponds to the pentagram map. For $k>3$, we give our integrable systems a geometric interpretation as pentagram-like maps involving deeper diagonals. If $k=2$ and the ground field is $\C$, we give a geometric interpretation in terms of circle patterns.

We reanalyze the W-boson loop in the amplitude of the Higgs decay into two photons to show the absence of decoupling in the limit of massless W bosons, m_W --> 0. The Higgs coupling to longitudinal polarizations survive in this limit and generates a nonvanishing contribution in the $H\to γγ$ decay. This shows that the recent claim of decoupling by R. Gastmans, S.L. Wu, and T.T. Wu is incorrect, and the old calculations for the two photon decay well known in the literature are valid.

Momentum tensors of second and third rank, as tools for jets' analysis
Authors:
Samuel Dagan,
Arie Vainshtein
Abstract:
Rank two momentum tensors, free of mass singularities, are often used for identification and analysis of two and three hadronic jet events. Based on Monte-Carlo generated events, we find that for sufficiently high energies, the tensor invariants provide the characteristics of a three-jet event, without assigning the particles to the jets. Furthermore, the combined application of rank two and rank…

According to our main conjecture, each class in the Belavin-Drinfeld classification of Poisson-Lie structures on $\G$ corresponds to a cluster structure in $Ø(\G)$. We prove a reduction theorem explaining how different parts of the conjecture are related to each other. The conjecture is established for $SL_n$, $n<5$, and for any $\G$ in the case of the standard Poisson-Lie structure.

We present the third in the series of papers describing Poisson properties of planar directed networks in the disk or in the annulus. In this paper we concentrate on special networks N_{u,v} in the disk that correspond to the choice of a pair (u,v) of Coxeter elements in the symmetric group and the corresponding networks N_{u,v}^\circ in the annulus. Boundary measurements for N_{u,v} represent elements of the Coxeter double Bruhat cell G^{u,v} in GL_n. The Cartan subgroup acts on G^{u,v} by conjugation. The standard Poisson structure on the space of weights of N_{u,v} induces a Poisson structure on G^{u,v}, and hence on its quotient by the Cartan subgroup, which makes the latter into the phase space for an appropriate Coxeter--Toda lattice. The boundary measurement for N_{u,v}^\circ is a rational function that coincides up to a nonzero factor with the Weyl function for the boundary measurement for N_{u,v}. The corresponding Poisson bracket on the space of weights of N_{u,v}^\circ induces a Poisson bracket on the certain space of rational functions, which appeared previously in the context of Toda flows.
Following the ideas developed in our previous papers, we introduce a cluster algebra A on this space, compatible with the obtained Poisson bracket. Generalized Bäcklund--Darboux transformations map solutions of one Coxeter--Toda lattice to solutions of another preserving the corresponding Weyl function. Using network representation, we construct generalized Bäcklund-Darboux transformations as appropriate sequences of cluster transformations in A.

In the former case, this family includes, for a particular kind of networks, the Poisson bracket associated with the trigonometric R-matrix.

Abstract:
We derive the general form of the moduli-space effective action for the long-range interaction of two BPS dyons in N=2 gauge theories. This action determines the bound state structure of various BPS and non-BPS states near marginal stability curves, and we utilise it to compute the leading correction to the BPS-mass of zero-torsion non-BPS bound states close to marginal stability.

We consider an impact of hadronic light-by-light scattering on the muonium hyperfine structure. A shift of the hyperfine interval $Δν({\rm Mu}) _{\rm\tiny HLBL}$ is calculated with the light-by-light scattering approximated by exchange of pseudoscalar and pseudovector mesons. Constraints from the operator product expansion in QCD are used to fix parameters of the model similar to the one used earlier for the hadronic light-by-light scattering in calculations of the muon anomalous magnetic moment. The pseudovector exchange is dominant in the resulting shift, $Δν({\rm Mu})_{\rm\tiny HLBL}= -0.0065(10) {Hz}$. Although the effect is tiny it is useful in understanding the level of hadronic uncertainties.

We show that this map is Poisson if the space of edge weights is equipped with a representative of a 6-parameter family of universal quadratic Poisson brackets and the Grasmannian is viewed as a Poisson homogeneous space of the general linear group equipped with an appropriately chosen R-matrix Poisson-Lie structure. We also prove that Poisson brackets on the Grassmannian arising in this way are compatible with the natural cluster algebra structure.

We set an upper bound on the gravitational cutoff in theories with exact quantum numbers of large N periodicity, such as Z_N discrete symmetries. The bound stems from black hole physics. It is similar to the bound appearing in theories with N particle species, though a priori, a large discrete symmetry does not imply a large number of species. Thus, there emerges a potentially wide class of new theories, that address the hierarchy problem by lowering the gravitational cutoff due to existence of large Z_{10^32}-type symmetries.
