Classifying attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children with non-linearities in actigraphy
Abstract: Objective This study provides an objective measure based on actigraphy for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) diagnosis in children. We search for motor activity features that could allow further investigation into their association with other neurophysiological disordered traits. Method The study involved $n=29$ (48 eligible) male participants aged $9.89\pm0.92$ years (8 controls,… ▽ More

Seeking for a fingerprint: analysis of point processes in actigraphy recording
Abstract: Motor activity of humans displays complex temporal fluctuations which can be characterized by scale-invariant statistics, thus documenting that structure and fluctuations of such kinetics remain similar over a broad range of time scales. Former studies on humans regularly deprived of sleep or suffering from sleep disorders predicted change in the invariant scale parameters with respect to those re… ▽ More

Possible new wave phenomena in the brain
Abstract: We propose to search for new wave phenomena in the brain by using interference effects in analogy to the well-known double slit (Young) experiment. This method is able to extend the range of oscillation frequencies to much higher values than currently accessible. It is argued that such experiments may test the hypothesis of the wave nature of information coding.

Interference Effects in the Brain

The 'Square Root' of the Interacting Dirac Equation
Abstract: The 'square root' of the interacting Dirac equation is constructed. The obtained equations lead to the Yang-Mills superfield with the appropriate equations of motion for the component fields.

Spin Effects in the Electron Structure Functions
Abstract: The electron structure functions are studied in polarized $e^+e^-$ scattering. The formulae for longitudinally and transversely polarized electrons are presented. The smallnes of the electron mass leads to negligible cross-sections and asymmetries in some cases. Positivity constraints on the structure functions and parton densities are constructed and discussed. The cross-section asymmetries at… ▽ More

The "square root" of the Dirac equation and solutions on superspace
Abstract: The "square root" of the Dirac operator derived on the superspace is used to construct supersymmetric field equations. In addition to the recently found solution - a vector supermultiplet I demonstrate how a chiral supermultiplet follows as the solution. Both vector and chiral supermultiplets are shown to obey appropriate (massless) equations of motion. This procedure yields thus a complete set… ▽ More

Remarks on the Electron Structure Function
Abstract: The electron and photon structure functions are compared. Advantages of the electron structure function are demonstrated. At very high momenta probabilistic (partonic) interpretation can be preserved despite strong $γ$-$Z$ interference. At present energies analyses of both the electron and the photon structure functions give an important test of the experimentally applied methods. Predictions fo… ▽ More

Nuclear effects on the spin-dependent structure functions
Abstract: We address the question how the spin-dependent nucleon structure function g1(x,Q**2) gets modified when the nucleon is bound inside a nucleus. We analyze the influence of nuclear interactions using the delta-pion model, known to describe well the unpolarized effect, and the free polarized parton distributions. The results for the neutron in 3-He and proton in 3-H, 7-Li and 19-F are presented, sh… ▽ More

Phenomenology of the Electron Structure Function
Abstract: Advantages of introducing the electron structure function (ESF) in electron induced processes are demonstrated. Contrary to the photon structure function it is directly measured in such processes. At present energies a simultaneous analysis of both the electron and the photon structure functions gives an important test of the experimentally applied methods. Estimates of the ESF at currently meas… ▽ More

Resolved Electron
Abstract: Advantages of introducing the electron structure function in electron induced processes are demonstrated. At present energies the same experiment gives more precise description of the electron than photon structure. The momentum scales entering the process are better controlled. On the Electron Structure Function
Abstract: The collinear QCD structure of the electron is studied within the Standard Model. The electron structure function is defined and calculated in leading logarithmic approximation. It shows important contribution from the interference of the intermediate electroweak bosons. The problem of momentum scales is extensively discussed. The master equations for the QCD parton densities inside the electron… ▽ More

Leading logarithmic QCD evolution equations are constructed and solved in the asymptotic region where log$^2$ behaviour of the parton densities… ▽ More
