A note on the involutive invariants of splices
Abstract: A natural family of potentially 2-torsion elements in the integer homology cobordism group consists of splices of knots with their mirrors. We show that such 3-manifolds have locally trivial involutive Floer homology. We show some related families of splices also have locally trivial involutive Floer homology. Our arguments show that many gauge theoretic invariants also vanish on these 3-manifolds… ▽ More

Jones-Wenzl projectors and the Khovanov homotopy of the infinite twist
Abstract: We construct and study a lift of Jones-Wenzl projectors to the setting of Khovanov spectra, and provide a realization of such lifted projectors via a Cooper-Krushkal-like sequence of maps. We also give a polynomial action on the 3-strand spectral projector allowing a complete computation of the 3-colored Khovanov spectrum of the unknot, proving a conjecture of Lobb-Orson-Schütz. Lattice homology and Seiberg-Witten-Floer spectra
Abstract: Using lattice homology, we give an explicit combinatorial description of the Seiberg-Witten-Floer spectrum $\mathit{SWF}(Y)$ for $Y$ an almost-rational plumbed homology sphere. This class of manifolds includes all Seifert fibered rational homology spheres with base orbifold $S^2$. PL-genus of surfaces in homology balls
Abstract: We consider manifold-knot pairs $(Y,K)$ where $Y$ is a homology sphere that bounds a homology ball. We show that the minimum genus of a PL surface $Σ$ in a homology ball $X$ such that $\partial (X, Σ) = (Y, K)$ can be arbitrarily large. Equivalently, the minimum genus of a surface cobordism in a homology cobordism from $(Y, K)$ to any knot in $S^3$ can be arbitrarily large. The proof relies on Hee… ▽ More

Rank-expanding satellites, Whitehead doubles, and Heegaard Floer homology
Abstract: We show that a large class of satellite operators are rank-expanding; that is, they map some rank-one subgroup of the concordance group onto an infinite linearly independent set. Our work constitutes the first systematic study of this property in the literature and partially affirms a conjecture of the second author and Pinzón-Caicedo. More generally, we establish a Floer-theoretic condition for a… ▽ More
