Hadron Spectra, Decays and Scattering Properties within Basis Light Front Quantization
Abstract: We survey recent progress in calculating properties of the electron and hadrons within the Basis Light Front Quantization (BLFQ) approach. We include applications to electromagnetic and strong scattering processes in relativistic heavy ion collisions. We present an initial investigation into the glueball states by applying BLFQ with multigluon sectors, introducing future research possibilities on… ▽ More

Trends and Progress in Nuclear and Hadron Physics: a straight or winding road
Abstract: Quantitative calculations of the properties of hadrons and nuclei, with assessed uncertainties, have emerged as competitive with experimental measurements in a number of major cases. We may well be entering an era where theoretical predictions are critical for experimental progress. Cross-fertilization between the fields of relativistic hadronic structure and non-relativistic nuclear structure is… ▽ More

Radiative decays of Bc mesons in a Bethe-Salpeter model
Abstract: We evaluate the complete spectrum of the Bc mesons, below the open flavor BD threshold, in a Bethe-Salpeter model. We make predictions for the radiative decay widths of the Bc excited states. We compare our results with those of other models.

Non-Perturbative Hamiltonian Approaches To Strong Interaction Physics
Abstract: The theory of the strong interactions, Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD), has been addressed by a variety of non-perturbative techniques over the decades since its introduction. We have investigated Hamiltonian formulations with different quantization methods and approximation schemes. In one method, we utilize light-front coordinates to investigate the role of bosonic zero modes in leading to confin… ▽ More

Relativistic Meson Spectroscopy and In-Medium Effects
Abstract: We extend our earlier model of $q\bar q$ mesons using relativistic quasipotential (QP) wave equations to include open-flavor states and running quark-gluon coupling effects. Global fits to meson spectra are achieved with rms deviations from experiment of 43-50 MeV. We examine in-medium effects through their influence on the confining interaction and predict the confining strength at which the ma… ▽ More

Isospin Multiplet Structure in Ultra--Heavy Fermion Bound States
Abstract: The coupled Bethe--Salpeter bound state equations for a $Q\bar Q$ system, where $Q=(U,D)$ is a degenerate, fourth generation, super--heavy quark doublet, are solved in several ladder approximation models. The exchanges of gluon, Higgs and Goldstone modes in the standard model are calculated in the ultra--heavy quark limit where weak $γ, W^\pm$ and $Z^0$ contributions are negligible. A natural… ▽ More
