Organic aerosol (OA) is a key component to total submicron particulate matter (PM1), and comprehensive knowledge of OA sources across Europe is crucial to mitigate PM1 levels. Europe has a well-established air quality research infrastructure from which yearlong datasets using 21 aerosol chemical speciation monitors (ACSMs) and 1 aerosol mass spectrometer (AMS) were gathered during 2013-2019. It includes 9 non-urban and 13 urban sites. This study developed a state-of-the-art source apportionment protocol to analyse long-term OA mass spectrum data by applying the most advanced source apportionment strategies (i.e., rolling PMF, ME-2, and bootstrap). This harmonised protocol enables the quantifications of the most common OA components such as hydrocarbon-like OA (HOA), biomass burning OA (BBOA), cooking-like OA (COA), more oxidised-oxygenated OA (MO-OOA), and less oxidised-oxygenated OA (LO-OOA). Other components such as coal combustion OA (CCOA), solid fuel OA (SFOA: mainly mixture of coal and peat combustion), cigarette smoke OA (CSOA), sea salt (mostly inorganic but part of the OA mass spectrum), coffee OA, and ship industry OA could also be separated at a few specific sites. Oxygenated OA (OOA) components make up most of the submicron OA mass (average = 71.1%, a range of 43.7-100%). Solid fuel combustion-related OA components (i.e., BBOA, CCOA, and SFOA) are still considerable with in total 16.0% yearly contribution to the OA, yet mainly during winter months (21.4%). Overall, this comprehensive protocol works effectively across all sites governed by different sources and generates robust and consistent source apportionment results. Our work presents a comprehensive overview of OA sources in Europe with a unique combination of high time resolution and long-term data coverage (9-36 months), providing essential information to improve/validate air quality, health impact, and climate models.

If $\mathbf{Z}_{\mathfrak{F}}(E) = 1$ for every subgroup $E$ of $G$ such that $S \leq E$ then $\mathbf{C}_{G}(D) \leq D$, where $D = S^{\mathfrak{F}}$ is the $\mathfrak{F}$-residual of $S$.

Let $G$ be a finite group. Let $σ=\{σ_{i} | i\in I\}$ be a partition of the set of all primes $\Bbb{P}$ and $n$ an integer. We write $σ(n) =\{σ_{i} |σ_{i}\cap π(n)\ne \emptyset \}$, $σ(G) =σ(|G|)$. A set $ {\cal H}$ of subgroups of $G$ is said to be a complete Hall $σ$-set of $G$ if every member of ${\cal H}\setminus \{1\}$ is a Hall $σ_{i}$-subgroup of $G$ for some $σ_{i}$ and ${\cal H}$ contains exact one Hall $σ_{i}$-subgroup of $G$ for every $σ_{i}\in σ(G)$. A subgroup $A$ of $G$ is called: (i) a $σ$-Hall subgroup of $G$ if $σ(|A|) \cap σ(|G:A|)=\emptyset$; (ii) $σ$-permutable in $G$ if $G$ possesses a complete Hall $σ$-set ${\cal H}$ such that $AH^{x}=H^{x}A$ for all $H\in {\cal H}$ and all $x\in G$. We say that a subgroup $A$ of $G$ is $H_σ$-permutably embedded in $G$ if $A$ is a $σ$-Hall subgroup of some $σ$-permutable subgroup of $G$.
We study finite groups $G$ having an $H_σ$-permutably embedded subgroup of order $|A|$ for each subgroup $A$ of $G$. Some known results are generalized.

If each $n$-maximal subgroup of $G$ is $σ$-subnormal ($σ$-quasinormal, respectively) in $G$ but, in the case $ n > 1$, some $(n-1)$-maximal subgroup is not $σ$-subnormal (not $σ$-quasinormal, respectively)) in $G$, we write $m_σ(G)=n$ ($m_{σq}(G)=n$, respectively).
In this paper, we show that the parameters $m_σ(G)$ and $m_{σq}(G)$ make possible to bound the $σ$-nilpotent length $ \ l_σ(G)$ (see below the definitions of the terms employed), the rank $r(G)$ and the number $|π(G)|$ of all distinct primes dividing the order $|G|$ of a finite soluble group $G$.
We also give conditions under which a finite group is $σ$-soluble or $σ$-nilpotent, and describe the structure of a finite soluble group $G$ in the case when $m_σ(G)=|π(G)|$. Some known results are generalized.

A two-layer readout structure was used, manufactured in the same technology as the GEM foils. The strips of each layer cross at an effective crossing angle of 6.7 degrees and have a 406 um pitch. The performance of the detector has been evaluated in a muon beam at CERN using a silicon telescope as reference system. The position resolutions of two orthogonal coordinates are measured to be 50 um and 1 mm, respectively. The muon detection efficiency for two-dimensional space points reaches 96%.
