Spectral Torsion
Abstract: We introduce a trilinear functional of differential one-forms for a finitely summable regular spectral triple with a noncommutative residue. We demonstrate that for a canonical spectral triple over a spin manifold it recovers the torsion of the linear connection. Spectral Metric and Einstein Functionals for Hodge-Dirac operator

Spectral interactions between strings in the Higgs background
Abstract: We derive the exact form of the spectral interaction of two strings mediated by a constant scalar field using methods derived from noncommutative geometry. This is achieved by considering a non-product modification of the Connes-Lott model with two-dimensional manifolds. The analogy with the latter construction justifies the interpretation of the scalar field as being of Higgs type. Working in dim… ▽ More

Spectral Metric and Einstein Functionals
Abstract: We define bilinear functionals of vector fields and differential forms, the densities of which yield the metric and Einstein tensors on even-dimensional Riemannian manifolds. We generalise these concepts in non-commutative geometry and, in particular, we prove that for the conformally rescaled geometry of the noncommutative two-torus the Einstein functional vanishes.

Spectral interaction between universes
Abstract: We derive a perturbative formula for the direct interaction between two four-dimensional geometries. Based on the spectral action principle we give an explicit potential up to the third order perturbation around the flat vacua. We present the leading terms of the interaction as polynomials of the invariants of the two metrics and compare the expansion to the models of bimetric gravity.

On matrix type corings, algebra coverings and Cech cohomology
Abstract: We investigate the a matrix-type coring associated to a complete covering of an algebra, its Amitsur complex and propose a definition for the related Cech cohomology relative to the covering.

Spectral action on noncommutative torus
Abstract: The spectral action on noncommutative torus is obtained, using a Chamseddine--Connes formula via computations of zeta functions. The importance of a Diophantine condition is outlined. Several results on holomorphic continuation of series of holomorphic functions are obtained in this context.

Equivariant Lorentzian Spectral Triples
Abstract: We present examples of equivariant noncommutative Lorentzian spectral geometries. The equivariance with respect to a compact isometry group (or quantum group) allows to construct the algebraic data of a version of spectral triple geometry adapted to the situation of an indefinite metric. The spectrum of the equivariant Dirac operator is calculated.

On Spin Structures and Dirac Operators on the Noncommutative Torus
Abstract: We find and classify possible equivariant spin structures with Dirac operators on the noncommutative torus, proving that similarly as in the classical case the spectrum of the Dirac operator depends on the spin structure.

Quasi-Dirac Operators and Quasi-Fermions
Abstract: We investigate examples of quasi-spectral triples over two-dimensional commutative sphere, which are obtained by modifying the order-one condition. We find equivariant quasi-Dirac operators and prove that they are in a topologically distinct sector than the standard Dirac operator.

Local index formula for SU_q(2)
Abstract: We discuss the local index formula of Connes-Moscovici for the isospectral noncommutative geometry that we have recently constructed on quantum SU(2). We work out the cosphere bundle and the dimension spectrum as well as the local cyclic cocycles yielding the index formula.
