The Taylor-Aris theory of shear diffusion predicts that the effective diffusivity of a tracer molecule in a sheared liquid is enhanced by a term quadratic in the shear rate. In sheared supercooled liquids, instead, the observed enhancement is linear in the shear rate. This is a fundamental observation for the physics of nonequilibrium liquids for which no theory or fundamental understanding is available. We derive a formula for the effective molecular diffusivity in supercooled liquids under shear flow based on the underlying Smoluchowski equation with shear (Smoluchowski diffusion-convection equation) with an energy barrier representing a crowded energy landscape. The obtained formula correctly recovers the effective diffusivity with a correction term linear in the shear rate, in agreement with results from numerical simulations of different liquids as well as with earlier experimental results on shear melting of colloidal glass. The theory predictions are supported by comparisons with molecular simulations of supercooled water and supercooled Lennard-Jones liquids, which confirm that the predicted enhancement of diffusivity is inversely proportional to temperature and directly proportional to the zero shear viscosity.

We obtain an exact solution of spherically symmetric Letelier AdS black holes immersed in perfect fluid dark matter (PFDM). Considering the cosmological constant as the positive pressure of the system and volume as its conjugate variable, we analyse the thermodynamics of our black holes in the extended phase space. Owing to the background clouds of strings parameter ($a$) and the parameter endowed with PFDM ($β$), we analyse the Hawking temperature, entropy and specific heat. We also investigate the relationship between the photon sphere radius and the phase transition for the Letelier AdS black holes immersed in PFDM. Through the analysis, we find with a particular condition, there are non-monotonic behaviours between the photon sphere radius, the impact parameter, the PFDM parameter, temperature, and pressure. We can regard both the changes of photon sphere radius and impact parameter before and after phase transition as the order parameter; their critical exponents near the critical point are equal to the same value 1/2, just like ordinary thermal systems. These indicate that a universal relation of gravity may exist near the critical point for a black hole thermodynamic system.

We study a cosmological model in Rastall's theory of gravity in the framework of the flat FLRW metric. We formulate the value of the Hubble parameter, which contains two model parameters, $ α$ and $ j $. Employing the Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) sampling technique, we determine the values of these model parameters along with their uncertainties. Moreover, we derive the equation of state (EoS) parameter, which converges around the quintessence region. We perform a dynamical system analysis using the linearization technique to validate the results independently. Also, we discuss various physical attributes of the model, highlighting the transition to acceleration and the violation of the strong energy condition (SEC) in the late stages of evolution. In conclusion, our model mimics the behavior of a dark matter fluid during the past epoch and transitions into a quintessence dark energy model in the future epoch.

We propose a novel cosmological framework within the $f(R,T)$ type modified gravity theory, incorporating a non-minimally coupled with the higher order of the Ricci scalar ($R$) as well as the trace of the energy-momentum tensor ($T$). Therefore, our well-motivated chosen $f(R,T)$ expression is $ R + R^m + 2 λT^n$, where $λ$, $m$, and $n$ are arbitrary constants. Taking a constant jerk parameter ($j$), we derive expressions for the deceleration parameter ($q$) and the Hubble parameter ($H$) as functions of the redshift $z$. We constrained our model with the recent Observational Hubble Dataset (OHD), $Pantheon$, and $ Pantheon $ + OHD datasets by using the analysis of Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC). Our model shows early deceleration followed by late-time acceleration, with the transition occurring in the redshift range $1.10 \leq z_{tr} \leq 1.15$. Our findings suggest that this higher-order model of $f(R,T)$ gravity theory can efficiently provide a dark energy model for addressing the current scenario of cosmic acceleration.

This higher-order torsional gravity is based on both the torsion scalar, as well as on the teleparallel equivalent of the Gauss-Bonnet combination, and gives rise to an effective dark-energy sector which depends on the extra torsion contributions. We employ observational data from the Hubble function and Supernova Type Ia Pantheon datasets, applying a Markov Chain Monte Carlo sampling technique, and we provide the iso-likelihood contours, as well as the best-fit values for the parameters of the power-law model. Additionally, we reconstruct the effective dark-energy equation-of-state parameter, which exhibits a quintessence-like behavior, while in the future the Universe enters into the phantom regime, before it tends asymptotically to the cosmological constant value. Furthermore, we perform a detailed cosmographic analysis, examining the deceleration, jerk, snap and lerk parameters, showing that the transition to acceleration occurs in the redshift range $ 0.52 \leq z_{tr} \leq 0.89 $, as well as the preference of the scenario for quintessence-like behavior. Finally, we apply the Om diagnostic analysis, as a cross-verification of the obtained behavior.

In the framework of Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) space-time, we have made the hypothesis of an interacting scheme between two fields (dark matter (DM) and dark energy (DE)). The evolution of the dark energy model in the above-mentioned spatially and homogeneous space-time has been studied from the viewpoint of interaction between DM and DE. This interacting scenario has been established by choosing an appropriate ansatz of the scale factor $a(t)$. By computing cosmological parameters (geometrical and physical) such as deceleration parameter $q$, energy density $ρ$, pressure $p$, equation of state parameter $ω$, and density parameter $Ω$, we have performed energy conditions, scalar field description, and refined swampland conjecture to support the interaction model that we have developed.

This paper investigates the flat Friedmann-Lema$\hat{\imath}$tre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) cosmological model using a suitable parameterization represented as a differential equation concerning the energy density of the scalar field, $ρ_φ$, in the context of $f(R,T)$ gravity theory. This parameterization is known as the Energy Density Scalar Field Differential Equation (EDSFD) parametrization. It results in a solution of the Hubble parameter containing four model parameters, namely, $Ω_{m0},Ω_{φ0}, H_0,$ and $α$. To constrain the model parameters, $77$ data points from the Hubble dataset, $1048$ points from the Pantheon dataset, and $6$ data points from BAO are used. Using the constrained values, we analyze and compare our model with the standard $Λ$CDM model. The evolution of the physical parameters, which includes the deceleration parameter, density parameter, Equation of State (EoS) for Dark Energy, and $Om(z)$ diagnostic, are discussed.

We perform a detailed analysis of the cosmological parameters to explain the contraction phase, the bounce phase, and the expansion phase. Furthermore, we observe a violation of the null energy condition, instability of the model, and a singularity upon deceleration at the bouncing point, which are the supporting results for a bouncing cosmology. The outcome of the slow roll parameters is satisfactory to understand the inflation era and the equation of state parameter exhibits a ghost condensate behavior of the model near the bounce. Here, the function $ f(R,G) $ is taken as a linear combination of $ R $ and an exponential function of $ G $. We analyze the observational constraints under a power law cosmology which depends on two parameters, viz., the Hubble constant $ H_0 $ and the deceleration parameter $ q $. We examine the three sets of constraints $ H_0=68.119_{-0.12}^{+0.028} $ $ km S^{-1} Mpc^{-1} $, $ q=-0.109_{-0.014}^{+0.014} $; $ H_0=70.5_{-0.98}^{+1.3} $ $ km S^{-1} Mpc^{-1} $, $ q=-0.25_{-0.15}^{+0.15} $ and $ H_0=69.103_{-0.10}^{+0.019} $ $ Km S^{-1} Mpc^{-1} $, $ q=-0.132_{-0.014}^{+0.014} $, obtained by using the latest 77 points of the $ H(z) $ data, 1048 points of the $ Pantheon $ data and the joint data of $ H(z)+Pantheon $ at the $ 1σ$ level, respectively, We compare our results with the results of the $ Λ$CDM model. We find that our estimate of $ H_0 $ is in very close agreement with some of the latest results from the Planck Collaboration that assume the $ Λ$CDM model. Our work in power law cosmology provides a better fit to the $ Pantheon $ data than the earlier analysis. We also discuss statefinder diagnostics and see that the power law models approach the standard $Λ$CDM model ($ q\rightarrow -0.5 $). Finally, we conclude that in $ f(R,G) $ gravity, power law cosmology explains most of the distinguished attributes of evolution in cosmology.

We propose a novel dark-energy equation-of-state parametrization, with a single parameter $η$ that quantifies the deviation from $Λ$CDM cosmology. We first confront the scenario with various datasets, from Hubble function (OHD), Pantheon, baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO), and their joint observations, and we show that $η$ has a preference for a non-zero value, namely a deviation from $Λ$CDM cosmology is favored, although the zero value is marginally inside the 1$σ$ confidence level. However, we find that the present Hubble function value acquires a higher value, namely $ H_0= 66.624^{+0.011}_{-0.013}~Km~ s^{-1} Mpc^{-1} $, which implies that the $H_0$ tension can be partially alleviated. Additionally, we perform a cosmographic analysis, showing that the universe transits from deceleration to acceleration in the recent cosmological past, nevertheless, in the future, it will not result in a de Sitter phase, since it exhibits a second transition from acceleration to deceleration. Finally, we perform the Statefinder analysis. The scenario behaves similarly to the $ Λ$CDM paradigm at high redshifts, while the deviation becomes significant at late and recent times and especially in the future.

The complexity of the topological and combinatorial configuration space of MXenes can give rise to gigantic design challenges that cannot be addressed through traditional experimental or routine theoretical approaches. To this end, we establish a robust and more broadly applicable multistep workflow from the toolbox of supervised machine learning (ML) algorithms for predicting the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) activity over 4,500 MM$^{\prime}$XT$_2$-type MXenes, where 25\% of the material space (1125 systems) is randomly selected to evaluate the HER performance using density functional theory (DFT) calculations. As the most desirable ML model, the random forest regression method with recursive feature elimination and hyperparameter optimization accurately and rapidly predicts the Gibbs free energy of hydrogen adsorption ($Δ$G$_{H}$) with a low predictive mean absolute error of 0.374 eV. Based on these observations, the H-atom adsorbed directly on top of the outermost metal atomic layer of the MM$^{\prime}$XT$_2$-type MXenes (site-2) with Nb, V, Mo, Cr and Ti metals composed of carbon based O-functionalization are discovered to be highly stable and active catalysts, surpassing that of commercially available platinum based counterparts. Overall, the physically meaningful predictions and insights of the developed ML/DFT-based multistep workflow will open new avenues for accelerated screening, rational design and discovery of potential HER catalysts.

As we know the deceleration parameter is time-dependent, so we consider the deceleration parameter $ q $ as the function of $ t $. Using this methodology, we find all the important cosmological factors in terms of a hyperbolic function of the cosmic time $ t $. In turn, we create the model having the behavior of the late-time universe, which is ever accelerated expanding and faces a Big Freeze at the end. The model shows the quintessence dark energy model from early to late times. A bouncing scenario of a flat homogeneous and isotropic universe is explored by using the reconstruction technique for the power-law parametrization of the Hubble parameter in a modified gravity theory with higher-order curvature and trace of the energy-momentum tensor terms. It is demonstrated that bouncing criteria are satisfied so that the cosmological initial singularity can be avoided. In addition, it is shown that the equation of state parameter crosses the line of the phantom divide. We have probed a cosmological model in $f(R)$-gravity, which is a cubic equation in scalar curvature $R$. The terms arise due to nonlinear $f(R)$ function are treated as energy due to curvature inspired geometry. As a result, we find accelerating expansion in the universe, which creates an anti-gravitating negative pressure in it. Some of the physical parameters are solved using numerical methods. The evolution of the model are examined by the latest observational Hubble data (46-data points) and Pantheon data (the latest compilation of SNIa with 40 binned in the redshift range $0.014 \leqslant z \leqslant1.62$). Some important features of the model have been discussed by analyzing the plots of various dynamical parameters. The plots of deceleration parameter $q$ and the Hubble parameter $H$ describe the accelerating expansion in the evolution of the Universe at the present epoch. The transition from deceleration to acceleration for our model is obtained at redshift $z_{tr} \simeq 0.694069$, which is in good agreement with $Λ$CDM. We have also carried out state finder analysis for our model. The analysis of specific features of the model confirms that our model is consistent with $Λ$CDM in late times.

In turn, we establish the model has the behaviour of the late time Universe, which is accelerated expanding and ends up in a big rip. Using the parametrization of scale factor $a(t)$, we propose a model, which begins with point-type singularity, i.e., the model starts with a point of zero volume, infinite energy density and infinite temperature. The model's behaviour is accelerated expanding at present and $Λ$CDM in late times. Finally, the proposed model behaves like a quintessence dark energy model in the present time and is consistent with standard cosmology $Λ$CDM in late times.

In this paper, a bouncing cosmological scenario is studied in the background of a flat FLRW model with a specific parametrized hyperbolic form of scale factor $ a $ in terms of $ t $, where $ λ$ is taken as the model parameter. This model is discussed in $ f(R,G) $ formalism having structured as $ f(R,G)=R+F(G) $, where $ R $ is Ricci scalar and $ G $ is the Gauss-Bonnet invariant. The proposed functional form of the Hubble parameter is considered in such a way that it satisfies the bouncing criteria of the model, which is free from the initial singularity. The physical consequences of the model are discussed. In this model, one can see that the EoS parameter crosses the quintom line $ ω=-1 $ in the neighborhood of bouncing point $ t\approx0 $, which is a very strong criterion for a successful bouncing cosmological model. Finally, we find that all the essential features of the bouncing model are satisfied successfully.

We investigate the extended phase space thermodynamics of nonsingular-AdS black holes minimally coupled to clouds of strings in which we consider the cosmological constant ($Λ$) as the pressure ($P$) of the black holes and its conjugate variable thermodynamical volume ($V$) of the black holes. Owing to the background clouds of strings parameter ($a$), we analyse the Hawking temperature, entropy and specific heat on horizon radius for fixed-parameter $k$. We find that the strings clouds background does not alter small/large black hole (SBH/LBH) phase transition but occurs at a larger horizon radius, and two second-order phase transitions occur at a smaller horizon radius. Indeed, the $G$--$T$ plots exhibit a swallowtail below the critical pressure, implying that the first-order phase transition is analogous to the liquid-gas phase transition at a lower temperature and lower critical pressure. To further examine the analogy between nonsingular-AdS black holes and a liquid-gas system, we derive the exact critical points and probe the effects of a cloud of strings on $P-V$ criticality to find that the isotherms undergo liquid-gas like phase transition for $\tilde{T}\,<\,\tilde{T}_c$ at lower $\tilde{T}_c$. We have also calculated the critical exponents identical with Van der Walls fluid, i.e., same as those obtained before for arbitrary other AdS black holes, which implies that the background clouds of strings do not change the critical exponents.

We used $H(z)$ data, pantheon compilation of SN Ia data and BAO data to constrained the model parameters using $χ^{2}$ minimization technique. We obtain the present values of Hubble constant $H_{0}$ as $66.2^{+1.42}_{-1.34}$, $70.7^{+0.32}_{-0.31}$ and $67.74^{+1.24}_{-1.04}$ for $H(z)$, $H(z)$ + Pantheon and $H(z)$ + BAO respectively. Also, we have estimated the present age of the Universe in derived model $t_{0} = 14.38^{+0.63}_{-0.64}$ for joint $H(z)$ and pantheon compilation of SN Ia data which has only $0.88~σ$ tension with its empirical value obtained in Plank collaboration \cite{Ade/2016}. Moreover, the present values of the deceleration parameter $q_{0}$ come out to be $-0.55^{+0.031}_{-0.038}$, $-0.61^{+0.030}_{-0.021}$ and $-0.627^{+0.022}_{-0.025}$ by bounding the Universe in derived model with $H(z)$, $H(z)$ + Pantheon compilation of SN Ia and $H(z)$ + BAO data sets respectively. One of the most ubiquitous and technologically important phenomena in nature is the nucleation of homogeneous flowing systems. The microscopic effects of shear on a nucleating system are still imperfectly understood, although in recent years a consistent picture has emerged. The opposing effects of shear can be split into two major contributions for simple liquids: increase of the energetic cost of nucleation, and enhancement of the kinetics. In this perspective, we describe the latest computational and theoretical techniques which have been developed over the past two decades. We collate and unify the overarching influences of shear, temperature, and supersaturation on the process of homogeneous nucleation. Experimental techniques and capabilities are discussed, against the backdrop of results from simulations and theory. Although we primarily focus on simple liquids, we also touch upon the sheared nucleation of more complex systems, including glasses and polymer melts. We speculate on the promising directions and possible advances that could come to fruition in the future.

We observe a transition from the gel phase to the liquid crystalline phase between 320 K and 330 K in agreement with experimental reports for pure PSPC. PSPC remained in the tilted gel phase L\b{eta}$'$ at 320 K and 310 K, entered the 'mixed ordered' domain with a partially interdigitated region at 300 K, and finally formed the sub gel phase at 280 K. We studied the self-assembly for the multicomponent PSPC and DSPE-PEG2000 membranes and found the coexistence of ordered and disordered phases at 320 K. In comparison to the pure PSPC, for multicomponent system, this transition was gradual, and a complete liquid crystalline to gel phase transformation occurred between 320 K and 310 K. We further studied the interaction of Paclitaxel with pure PSPC and PEGylated multicomponent lipid bilayers using umbrella sampling technique and observed PEG promotes the interaction of Paclitaxel with the later one in comparison to the former. Above the bilayer transition temperature, Paclitaxel interacts more with the bilayer and enters inside the bilayer easily for both systems. Understanding of structural and interaction behaviour of the PEGylated multicomponent lipid bilayers with Paclitaxel will help explore Paclitaxel based drug applications in the future.

Hydrodynamic flow can have complex and far-reaching consequences on the rate of homogenous nucleation. We present a general formalism for calculating the nucleation rates of simply sheared systems.
We have derived an extension to the conventional Classical Nucleation Theory, explicitly embodying the shear rate. Seeded Molecular Dynamics simulations form the backbone of our approach.
The framework can be used for moderate supercoolings, at which temperatures brute-force methods are practically infeasible. The competing energetic and kinetic effects of shear arise naturally from the equations.
We show how the theory can be used to identify shear regimes of ice nucleation behaviour for the mW water model, unifying disparate trends reported in the literature. At each temperature, we define a crossover shear rate in the limit of $1000-10,000 \ s^{-1}$, beyond which the nucleation rate increases steadily upto a maximum, at the optimal shear rate.
For $235$, $240$, $255$ and $260 \ K$, the optimal shear rates are in the range of $\approx 10^6-10^7 \ s^{-1}$. For very high shear rates beyond $10^8 \ s^{-1}$, nucleation is strongly inhibited. Our results indicate that the shear-dependent nucleation rate curves have a non-monotonic dependence on temperature.

In this paper, we study a cosmological model in the background of FLRW space time by assuming an appropriate parametrization in the form of a differential equation in terms of energy density of scalar field $ ρ_φ $, which is defined as Energy Density Scalar Field Differential equation (EDSFD) parametrization. This EDSFD parametrization leads to a required phase transition from early deceleration to present cosmic acceleration. This parametrization is used to reconstruct the equation of state parameter $ ω_φ(z) $ to examine the evolutionary history of the universe in a flat FLRW space time. Here, we constrain the model parameter using the various observational datasets of Hubble parameter $ H(z) $, latest Union $ 2.1 $ compilation dataset $ SNeIa $, $ BAO $, joint dataset $ H(z)+SNeIa $ and $ H(z)+SNeIa+BAO $ for detail analysis of the behaviour of physical parameters and we find its best fit present value. Structural analyses are an integral part of computational research on nucleation and supercooled water, whose accuracy and efficiency can impact the validity and feasibility of such studies. The underlying molecular mechanisms of these often elusive and computationally expensive processes can be inferred from the evolution of ice-like structures, determined using appropriate structural analysis techniques. We present d-SEAMS, a free and open-source post-processing engine for the analysis of molecular dynamics trajectories, which is specifically able to qualitatively classify ice structures, in both strong confinement and bulk systems. For the first time, recent algorithms for confined ice structure determination have been implemented, along with topological network criteria for bulk ice structure determination. Recognizing the need for customization in structural analysis, d-SEAMS has a unique code architecture, built with `nix`, employing a `YAML`-`Lua` scripting pipeline. The software has been designed to be user-friendly and easy to extend. The engine outputs are compatible with popular graphics software suites, allowing for immediate visual insights into the systems studied. We demonstrate the features of d-SEAMS by using it to analyze nucleation in the bulk regime and for quasi-one and quasi-two-dimensional systems. Structural time evolution and quantitative metrics are determined for heterogenous ice nucleation on a silver-exposed $β$-AgI surface, homogenous ice nucleation, flat monolayer square ice formation and freezing of an ice nanotube.

We develop intuitive metrics for quantifying complex nucleating systems under confinement. These are shown to arise naturally from the analysis of the topological ring network, and are amenable for use as order parameters for such systems. Drawing inspiration from qualitative visual inspection, we introduce a general topological criterion for elucidating the ordered structures of confined water, using a graph theoretic approach. Our criterion is based on primitive rings, and reinterprets the hydrogen-bond-network in terms of these primitives. This approach has no a priori assumptions, except the hydrogen bond definition, and may be used as an exploratory tool for the automated discovery of new ordered phases. We demonstrate the versatility of our criterion by applying it to analyse well-known monolayer ices. Our methodology is then extended to identify the building blocks of one-dimensional $n$-sided prismatic nanoribbon ices.

To achieve the solution of the gravitational field equations in the $ f(R,T) $ formalism, we take the form of a geometrical parameter, i.e. scale factor $ a(t)= sinh^{\frac{1}{n}}(βt) $ \cite{cha}, where $ β$ and $ n $ are model parameters. An eternal acceleration can be predicted by the model for $ 0<n<1 $, while the cosmic transition from the early decelerated phase to the present accelerated epoch can be anticipated for $ n\geq 1 $. The obtained model facilitate the formation of structure in the Universe according to the Jeans instability condition as our model transits from radiation dominated era to matter dominated era. We study the varying role of the equation of state parameter $ ω$. We analyze our model by studying the behavior of the scalar field and discuss the energy conditions on our achieved solution. The proposed functional form of the Hubble parameter is taken in such a way that it fulfills the successful bouncing criteria to find the solution of the gravitational field equations provided the Universe is free from initial singularity. The various constraints on the parameters are involved in the functional form of the Hubble parameter which is analyzed in detail. In addition, we explore physical and geometrical consequences of the model based on the imposed constraints. Furthermore, we demonstrate the bouncing scenario which are realized in our model with some particular values of the model parameters. An exact cosmological solution of Einstein field equations (EFEs) is derived for a dynamical vacuum energy in $f(R,T)$ gravity for Friedmann-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) space-time. A parametrization of the Hubble parameter is used to find a deterministic solution of EFE. The cosmological dynamics of our model is discussed in detail. We have analyzed the time evolution of physical parameters and obtained their bounds analytically. Moreover, the behavior of these parameters are shown graphically in terms of redshift $`z'$. Our model is consistent with the formation of structure in the Universe. The role of the $f(R,T)$ coupling constant $λ$ is discussed in the evolution of the equation of state parameter. The statefinder and Om diagnostic analysis is used to distinguish our model with other dark energy models. This paper deals with a spatially homogeneous and totally anisotropic Bianchi type-V cosmological model within the framework of self interacting Brans Dicke theory of gravity in the background of anisotropic dark energy (DE) with variable equation of state (EoS) parameter and constant deceleration parameter. Constant deceleration parameter leads to two models of universe, i.e. power law model and exponential model. EoS parameter ω and its existing range for the models is in good agreement with the most recent observational data. We notice that ω given by (37) i.e ω(t) = log(k1t) is more suitable in explaining the evolution of the universe. The physical behaviors of the solutions have also been discussed using some physical quantities. Finally, we observe that despite having several prominent features, both of the DE models discussed fail in details.

Abstract:
In this paper, we examine observational constraints on the power law cosmology; essentially dependent on two parameters $H_0$ (Hubble constant) and $q$ (deceleration parameter). We investigate the constraints on these parameters using the latest 28 points of H(z) data and 580 points of Union2.1 compilation data and, compare the results with the results of $Λ$CDM. We also forecast constraints using…

We also forecast constraints using a simulated data set for the future JDEM, supernovae survey. Our studies give better insight into power law cosmology than the earlier done analysis by Kumar [arXiv:1109.6924] indicating it tuning well with Union2.1 compilation data but not with H(z) data. However, the constraints obtained on $<H_0>$ and $<q>$ i.e. $H_0$ average and $q$ average using the simulated data set for the future JDEM, supernovae survey are found to be inconsistent with the values obtained from the H(z) and Union2.1 compilation data. We also perform the statefinder analysis and find that the power-law cosmological models approach the standard $Λ$CDM model as $q\rightarrow -1$. Finally, we observe that although the power law cosmology explains several prominent features of evolution of the Universe, it fails in details.
