In this paper, we use the holographic principle to obtain a modified metric of black holes that reproduces the exponentially corrected entropy. The exponential correction of the black hole entropy comes from non-perturbative corrections. It interprets as a quantum effect which affects black hole thermodynamics especially in the infinitesimal scales. Hence, it may affect black hole stability at the final stage. Then, we study modified thermodynamics due to the non-perturbative corrections and calculate thermodynamics quantities of several non-rotating black holes.

The phase diagram of quantum chromodynamics (QCD) and its associated thermodynamic properties of quark gluon plasma (QGP) are studied in the presence of time dependent magnetic field. The study plays a pivotal role in the field of cosmology, astrophysics, and heavy ion collisions. In order to explore the structure of quark gluon plasma to deal with the dynamics of quarks and gluons, we investigate the equation of state (EoS) not only in the environment of static magnetic field but also in the presence of time-varying magnetic fields. So, for determining the equation of state of QGP at non zero magnetic fields, we revisited our earlier model where the effect of time varying magnetic field was not taken into consideration. Using the phenomenological model, some appealing features are noticed depending upon the three different scales; effective mass of quark, temperature, and time independent as well as time-dependent magnetic field. Earlier the effective mass of quark was incorporated in our calculations and in the current work, it is modified for static and time-varying magnetic fields. Thermodynamic observables including pressure, energy density, entropy, etc. are calculated for a wide range of temperature and time-dependent as well as time-independent magnetic fields. Finally, we claim that the EoS are highly affected in the presence of a magnetic field. Our results are notable compared to other approaches and found to be advantageous for the measurement of QGP equation of state. These crucial findings with and without time-varying magnetic field could have phenomenological implications in various sectors of high energy physics.

Friedmann-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) model, representing the isotropic and homogeneous Universe, has an inherent diffeomorphism (or reparametrization) invariance. For a given local time-reparametrization symmetry transformation of (0+1)-dimensional (1D) diffeomorphism invariant FLRW model, we derive the off-shell nilpotent and absolutely anticommuting (anti-)BRST symmetry transformations in a consistent manner. The supervariable approach to BRST formalism is used as a guiding tool in finding the proper (anti-)BRST transformations. An application of (super-)diffeomorphism invariance, in the context of superspace formalism, yields horizontality conditions. Moreover, the celebrated CF-type condition which is universal for 1D diffeomorphism invariant theories, emerges as an off-shoot of the horizontality condition and provides the absolute anticommutativity of the (anti-)BRST transformations. In addition, this CF-type condition leads to the derivation of coupled (but equivalent) (anti-)BRST invariant quantum Lagrangians for FLRW model. We also capture the geometrical interpretation of the (anti-)BRST transformations and their properties in terms of the Grassmannian translational generators and supervariables.

We also study the thermodynamic properties of the solution that satisfies a modified first law of thermodynamics. Furthermore, we discuss the stability of the obtained black hole solution and, in this regard, a double phase transition occurs. Within context, we find that phase transition exists at the point where the heat capacity diverges and, incidentally, the temperature attains the maximum value. We discuss the fluid nature of the black hole also exhibiting critical points. The quasinormal modes of the black hole solution and their dependencies on Gauss-Bonnet coupling and deviation parameters are also analysed in terms of null geodesics.

It interpolates with the $AdS$ regular black hole and $AdS$ EGB black hole in the absence of the Gauss-Bonnet coupling constant and both magnetic monopole charge and deviation parameter, respectively. Based on horizon thermodynamics, we study the thermodynamic properties of the obtained solution (e.g. mass, temperature, entropy, heat capacity and free energy). The Hawking temperature of the nonsingular black hole gets the maximum value at the point where specific heat diverges and the second-order phase transition occurs at the same point. We find that the smaller nonsingular black holes are stable due to positive heat capacity and negative free energy. We explicitly trace the relations between the black hole shadow and the critical behavior of charged EGB $AdS$ regular black hole in the extended phase space.

The real roots of the vanishing metric function lead to various types of horizons. Furthermore, we derive various thermodynamic quantities, thus insuring the validity of the first-law of thermodynamics and the Smarr relation. The thermodynamic quantities are modified in the presence of the massive gravity parameter and also discuss the stability of the system from the heat capacity. Black hole space times can not only possess standard thermodynamics, but also possess phase structures when the cosmological constant is treated as the thermodynamic pressure. The effects of massive parameter and GB parameter on phase transition are also discussed. We also examine the phase structure through Maxwell's equal area law. The first order phase transition occurs only when pressure is lower than its critical value. At critical pressure, the first order phase transition terminates, and the second order phase transition occurs. No phase transition occurs when pressure is greater than its critical value.

Recently several ways have been proposed for regularizing, a $ D \to 4 $ limit of EGB, for nontrivial gravitational dynamics in $ 4D $. Motivated by the importance of anti-de Sitter gravity/conformal field theory correspondence (AdS/CFT), we analyze black holes with AdS asymptotic to regularized $4D$ EGB gravity coupled to the nonlinear electrodynamics (NED) field. For a static spherically symmetric \textit{ansatz} the field equations are solved exactly, using two different approaches, for a NED Lagrangian to obtain an identical solution$-$namely NED charged AdS black holes in $4D$ EGB gravity which retains several known solutions. Owing to the NED charge corrected EGB black holes, the thermodynamic quantities are also modified, and the entropy does not obey the usual area law. We calculate the heat capacity and Helmholtz free energy, in terms of horizon radii, to investigate both local and global thermodynamic stability of black holes. We observe a secondary Hawking-Page transition between the smaller thermally favoured black hole and thermal AdS space. Our results show that the behaviour of Hawking's evaporation abruptly halts at shorter radii regime such that the black holes do have a thermodynamically stable remnant with vanishing temperature.

Here, we focus on $4D$ Bardeen AdS massive black hole solutions as example to discuss the thermodynamical properties such as temperature, entropy and specific heat at constant pressure. We calculate the critical value of pressure and temperature and study the effect of magnetic charge $e$ and mass parameter $m$. It is seen that the thermodynamical volume are the independent of mass parameter $m$. The critical values are the one in which phase transition takes place and the nature of mass parameter $m$ and magnetic charge $e$ are opposite to each other. We present an exact charged black hole solution to the theory surrounded by clouds of string (CS) and also analyze their thermodynamic properties to calculate exact expressions for the black hole mass, temperature, and entropy. Owing to the corrected black hole due to the background CS, the thermodynamic quantities have also been corrected except for the entropy, which remains unaffected by a CS background. However, as a result of the novel $4D$ EGB theory, the Bekenstein-Hawking area law turns out to be corrected by a logarithmic area term. The heat capacity $C_+$ diverges at a critical radius $r=r_C$, where incidentally the temperature has a maximum, and the Hawking-Page transitions even in absence of the cosmological term and $C_+ > 0$ for $r_+ < r_C$ allowing the black hole to become thermodynamically stable. In addition, the smaller black holes are globally preferred with negative free energy $F_+<0$. Our solution can also be identified as a $4D$ monopole-charged EGB black hole. We regain results of spherically symmetric black hole solutions of general relativity and that of novel $4D$ EGB, respectively, in the limits $α\to 0$ and $a=0$.

We present an exact five-dimensional ($5D$) rotating regular black hole metric, with a deviation parameter $k\geq 0$, that interpolates between the $5D$ Kerr black hole ($k=0$) and $5D$ Kerr-Newman ($r \gg k$). This $5D$ rotating regular black hole is an exact solution of general relativity coupled to nonlinear electrodynamics. Interestingly, for a given value of parameter $k$ there exits a critical angular momentum $a=a_E$ which corresponds to extremal rotating regular black hole with degenerate horizons, while for $a<a_E$, one has non-extremal rotating regular black hole with outer and inner horizons. Owing to the correction factor ($e^{-k/r^2}$), which is motivated by the quantum arguments, the ergoregion and black hole shadow are modified.

We find an exact spherically symmetric regular Bardeen-like solutions by considering the coupling between Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet theory and nonlinear electrodynamics (NED) in five-dimensional spacetime. These solutions, with an additional parameter $g$ apart from the mass $M$, represent black holes with Cauchy and event horizons, extremal black holes with degenerate horizons or no black holes in the absence of the horizons, and encompasses as a special case Boulware-Deser black holes which can be recovered in the absence of magnetic charge ($g=0$). Owing to the NED corrected black hole, the thermodynamic quantities have also been modified and we have obtained exact analytical expressions for the thermodynamical quantities such the Hawking temperature $T_+$, the entropy $S_+$, the specific heat $C_+$, and the Gibbs free energy $F_+$. The heat capacity diverges at a critical radius $r=r_C$, where incidentally the temperature has a maximum, and the Hawking-Page transitions even in absence of the cosmological term. The thermal evaporation process leads to eternal remnants for sufficiently small black holes and evaporates to a thermodynamic stable extremel black hole remnants with vanishing temperature. The heat capacity becomes positive $C_+ > 0$ for $r_+ < r_C$ allowing black hole to become thermodynamically stable, in addition the smaller black holes are globally stable with positive heat capacity $C_+ > 0$ and negative free energy $F_+<0$. The entropy $ S $ of a 5D Bardeen black hole is not longer a quarter of the horizon area $A$, i.e., $S \neq A/4$.

The corresponding temperature is identified with Hawking temperature. The entropy is assumed to obey the area law and we confirm this by calculating the statistical entropy by using brick wall model.

We present a $D$-dimensional Bardeen like Anti-de Sitter (AdS) black hole solution in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet (EGB) gravity, \textit{viz}., Bardeen-EGB-AdS black holes. The Bardeen-EGB-AdS black hole has an additional parameter due to charge ($e$), apart from mass ($M$) and Gauss-Bonnet parameter ($α$). Interestingly, for each value of $α$, there exist a critical $e = e_E$ which corresponds to an extremal regular black hole with degenerate horizons, while for $e< e_E$, it describes non-extremal black hole with two horizons.
Despite the complicated solution, the thermodynamical quantities, like temperature ($T$), specific heat($C$) and entropy ($S$) associated with the black hole are obtained exactly. It turns out that the heat capacity diverges at critical horizon radius $r_+ = r_C$, where the temperature attains maximum value and the Hawking-Page transition is achievable. Thus, we have an exact $D$-dimensional regular black holes, when evaporates lead to a thermodynamical stable remnant.

Noncommutativity is an idea dating back to the early times of Quantum Mechanics and that string theory induced noncommutative (NC) geometry which provides an effective framework to study short distance spacetime dynamics. Also, string theory, a candidate for a consistent quantum theory of gravity, admits a variety of classical black hole solutions including black strings. In this paper, we study a NC geometry inspired rotating black string to cylindrical spacetime with a source given by a Gaussian distribution of mass. The resulting metric is a regular, i.e. curvature-singularity free, rotating black string, that in large $r$ limit interpolates Lemos \cite{lemos96} black string. Thermodynamical properties of the black strings are also investigated and exact expressions for the temperature, the entropy and the heat capacity are obtained. Owing to the NC correction in the solution, the thermodynamic quantities have been also modified and that the NC geometry inspired black string is always thermodynamically stable.

We study this logarithmic divergence term of entropy for massive scalar field in $(2+1)$ dimension by applying numerical techniques to entanglement entropy approach.
This (2+1) dimensional massive theory can be obtained from (3+1) dimensional massless scalar field via dimensional reduction. We also calculated mass corrections to entanglement entropy for scalar field. Finally, we observe that the area law contribution to the entanglement entropy is not affected by this mass term and the universal quantities depends upon the basic properties of the system.

Abstract:
We study the quantum scalar field in the background of BTZ black hole and evaluate the entanglement entropy of the non-vacuum states. The entropy is proportional to the area of event horizon for the ground state, but the area law is violated in the case of non-vacuum states (first excited state and mixed states) and the corrections scale as power law.
