Updated baseline for a staged Compact Linear Collider
Abstract: The Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) is a multi-TeV high-luminosity linear e+e- collider under development. For an optimal exploitation of its physics potential, CLIC is foreseen to be built and operated in a staged approach with three centre-of-mass energy stages ranging from a few hundred GeV up to 3 TeV. The first stage will focus on precision Standard Model physics, in particular Higgs and top-q… ▽ More

Challenges in QCD matter physics - The Compressed Baryonic Matter experiment at FAIR
Abstract: Substantial experimental and theoretical efforts worldwide are devoted to explore the phase diagram of strongly interacting matter. At LHC and top RHIC energies, QCD matter is studied at very high temperatures and nearly vanishing net-baryon densities. There is evidence that a Quark-Gluon-Plasma (QGP) was created at experiments at RHIC and LHC. The transition from the QGP back to the hadron gas is… ▽ More

Observation of the rare $B^0_s\toμ^+μ^-$ decay from the combined analysis of CMS and LHCb data
Abstract: A joint measurement is presented of the branching fractions $B^0_s\toμ^+μ^-$ and $B^0\toμ^+μ^-$ in proton-proton collisions at the LHC by the CMS and LHCb experiments. The data samples were collected in 2011 at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV, and in 2012 at 8 TeV. The combined analysis produces the first observation of the $B^0_s\toμ^+μ^-$ decay, with a statistical significance exceeding six sta… ▽ More

QED radiative effects in the processes of exclusive photon electroproduction from polarized protons with the next-to-leading accuracy
Abstract: Radiative effects in the electroproduction of photons in polarized $ep$-scattering are calculated with the next-to-leading (NLO) accuracy. The contributions of loops and two photon emission were presented in analytical form. The covariant approach of Bardin and Shumeiko was used to extract the infrared divergence. All contributions to the radiative correction were presented in the form of the corr… ▽ More

Radiative corrections to the structure functions and sum rules in polarized DIS
Abstract: The one-loop NLO radiative corrections to the observables in polarized DIS using assumption that a quark is an essential massive particle are considered. If compared with classical QCD formulae the obtained results are identical for the unpolarized and different for polarized sum rules, that can be explained as the influence of the finite quark mass effects on NLO QCD corrections.
