The Spitzer instability leads to the formation of a black hole sub-system (BHSub) at the center of a star cluster providing energy to luminous stars (LSs) and increasing their rate of evaporation. When the self-depletion time of the BHSub exceeds the evaporation time of the LSs, a dark star cluster (DSC) will appear. Using the NBODY7 code, we performed a comprehensive set of direct \Nbody simulations over a wide range of initial conditions to study the pure effect of the top-heaviness of the IMF on the formation of the DSC phase. In the Galactic tidal field, top-heavy IMFs lead to the fast evaporation of LSs and the formation of DSCs. Therefore, DSCs can be present even in the outer region of the Milky Way (MW). To successfully transition to the DSC phase, the MW Globular Clusters (GCs) must possess an initial BH mass fraction of $\widetilde{\mathit{M}}_\mathrm{BH}(0)>0.05$. For star clusters with $\widetilde{\mathit{M}}_\mathrm{BH}(0)>0.08$, the DSC phase will be created for any given initial density of the cluster and Galactocentric distance. The duration of the cluster's lifetime spent in the DSC phase shows a negative (positive) correlation with the initial density, and Galactocentric distance of the star cluster if $\widetilde{\mathit{M}}_\mathrm{BH}(0)\leq 0.12$ ($\widetilde{\mathit{M}}_\mathrm{BH}(0)\geq 0.15$). Considering the canonical IMF, it is unlikely for any MW GCs to enter the DSC phase. We discuss the BH retention fraction in view of the observed properties of the GCs of the MW.

This is the second paper in a series, which studies the likelihood that some globular clusters (GCs) of the Milky Way (MW) could have originated from a dwarf satellite galaxy (DSG). Using a large suite of three-body simulations we determine the present-day orbital properties of 154 GCs that could have escaped from 41 MW DSGs over the past $8\,\mathrm{Gyrs}$. For the MW we considered two sets of static and dynamic models which account for the sustained growth of the MW since its birth. We focus on the Magellanic Clouds and Sagittarius. We compare the apogalactic distance, eccentricity, and orbital inclination of the MW GCs with those of runaway GCs from DSGs, to constrain their possible ex-situ origin. We observe a positive correlation between a DSG mass and the dispersion of its runaway GCs in the orbital parameter space of ($R_\mathrm{ap}$, $e$). We provide tables of the identified MW GCs and their likely associated progenitors. In total, we find 29 (19%) MW GCs which could be kinematically associated with MW DSGs. We report, for the first time, 6 and 10 new associations with the Large Magellanic Cloud and the Sagittarius, respectively. For the Sagittarius we predict a concentration of runaway GCs at large apogalactic distances of $R_\mathrm{ap}\approx275-375\,\mathrm{kpc}$, $e\approx0.8$, and a relative inclination of $Δθ\approx20^{\circ}$. So far, there has not been any observed GCs with such orbital elements. Complemented with photometric and spectroscopic observations, and cosmological simulations, the findings from the present study could conclusively settle the debate over the in-situ vs. ex-situ origin of the MW GCs.

Finding the hedge ratios for a portfolio and risk compression is the same mathematical problem. Traditionally, regression is used for this purpose. However, regression has its own limitations. For example, in a regression model, we can't use highly correlated independent variables due to multicollinearity issue and instability in the results. A regression model cannot also consider the cost of hedging in the hedge ratios estimation. We have introduced several methods that address the linear regression limitation while achieving better performance. These models, in general, fall into two categories: Regularization Techniques and Common Factor Analyses. In regularization techniques, we minimize the variance of hedged portfolio profit and loss (PnL) and the hedge ratio sizes, which helps reduce the cost of hedging. The regularization techniques methods could also consider the cost of hedging as a function of the cost of funding, market condition, and liquidity. In common factor analyses, we first map variables into common factors and then find the hedge ratios so that the hedged portfolio doesn't have any exposure to the factors. We can use linear or nonlinear factors construction. We are introducing a modified beta variational autoencoder that constructs common factors nonlinearly to compute hedges. Finally, we introduce a comparison method and generate numerical results for an example.

A time projection chamber (TPC) with micropattern gaseous detector (MPGD) readout is investigated as main tracking device of the International Large Detector (ILD) concept at the planned International Linear Collider (ILC). A prototype TPC equipped with a triple gas electron multiplier (GEM) readout has been built and operated in an electron test beam. The TPC was placed in a 1 T solenoidal field at the DESY II Test Beam Facility, which provides an electron beam up to 6 GeV/c. The performance of the readout modules, in particular the spatial point resolution, is determined and compared to earlier tests. New studies are presented with first results on the separation of close-by tracks and the capability of the system to measure the specific energy loss dE/dx. This is complemented by a simulation study on the optimization of the readout granularity to improve particle identification by dE/dx.

Using numerical simulations, we have studied the escape of globular clusters (GCs) from the satellite dwarf spheroidal galaxies (dSphs) of the Milky Way (MW). We start by following the orbits of a large sample of GCs around dSphs in the presence of the MW potential field. We then obtain the fraction of GCs leaving their host dSphs within a Hubble Time. We model dSphs by a Hernquist density profile with masses between $10^7\,\mathrm{M}_{\odot}$ and $7\times 10^9\,\mathrm{M}_{\odot}$. All dSphs lie on the Galactic disc plane, but they have different orbital eccentricities and apogalactic distances. We compute the escape fraction of GCs from 13 of the most massive dSphs of the MW, using their realistic orbits around the MW (as determined by Gaia). The escape fraction of GCs from 13 dSphs is in the range $12\%$ to $93\%$. The average escape time of GCs from these dSphs was less than 8 $\,\mathrm{Gyrs}$, indicating that the escape process of GCs from dSphs was over. We then adopt a set of observationally-constrained density profiles for specific case of the Fornax dSph. According to our results, the escape fraction of GCs shows a negative correlation with both the mass and the apogalactic distance of the dSphs, as well as a positive correlation with the orbital eccentricity of dSphs. In particular, we find that the escape fraction of GCs from the Fornax dSph is between $13\%$ and $38\%$. Finally, we observe that when GCs leave their host dSphs, their final orbit around the MW does not differ much from their host dSphs.

The lack of signed random networks in standard balance studies has prompted us to extend the Hamiltonian of the standard balance model. Random networks with tunable parameters are suitable for better understanding the behavior of standard balance as an underlying dynamics. Moreover, the standard balance model in its original form does not allow preserving tensed triads in the network. Therefore, the thermal behavior of the balance model has been investigated on a fully connected signed network recently. It has been shown that the model undergoes an abrupt phase transition with temperature. Considering these two issues together, we examine the thermal behavior of the structural balance model defined on Erdős-Rényi random networks. We provide a Mean-Field solution for the model. We observe a first-order phase transition with temperature, for both the sparse and densely connected networks. We detect two transition temperatures, $T_{cold}$ and $T_{hot}$, characterizing a hysteresis loop. We find that with increasing the network sparsity, both $T_{cold}$ and $T_{hot}$ decrease. But the slope of decreasing $T_{hot}$ with sparsity is larger than the slope of decreasing $T_{cold}$. Hence, the hysteresis region gets narrower, until, in a certain sparsity, it disappears. We provide a phase diagram in the temperature-tie density plane to observe the meta-stable/coexistence region behavior more accurately. Then we justify our Mean-Field results with a series of Monte-Carlo simulations.

This poses a problem theoretically, in maintaining unitarity, and is counter-intuitive phenomenologically. The factorial growth is a byproduct of the perturbation theory. Nevertheless, it has been recently proposed that the factorial growth might be observable in the future 100 TeV hadron collider. We collect some of the calculations that had been done in regards to this problem so far. We then find the ratio $σ_n/σ_{\text{total}}$ by calculating the number of scalar jets one would observe at high center-of-mass energies. We will present our results for $φ^3$ theory in four and six spacetime dimensions, $φ^4$ and the broken theories in four spacetime dimensions.

Inter-beat interval (IBI) measurement enables estimation of heart-rate variability (HRV) which, in turns, can provide early indication of potential cardiovascular diseases. However, extracting IBIs from noisy signals is challenging since the morphology of the signal is distorted in the presence of the noise. Electrocardiogram (ECG) of a person in heavy motion is highly corrupted with noise, known as motion-artifact, and IBI extracted from it is inaccurate. As a part of remote health monitoring and wearable system development, denoising ECG signals and estimating IBIs correctly from them have become an emerging topic among signal-processing researchers. Apart from conventional methods, deep-learning techniques have been successfully used in signal denoising recently, and diagnosis process has become easier, leading to accuracy levels that were previously unachievable. We propose a deep-learning approach leveraging tiramisu autoencoder model to suppress motion-artifact noise and make the R-peaks of the ECG signal prominent even in the presence of high-intensity motion. After denoising, IBIs are estimated more accurately expediting diagnosis tasks. Results illustrate that our method enables IBI estimation from noisy ECG signals with SNR up to -30dB with average root mean square error (RMSE) of 13 milliseconds for estimated IBIs. At this noise level, our error percentage remains below 8% and outperforms other state of the art techniques.

Nowadays, the confidentiality of data and information is of great importance for many companies and organizations. For this reason, they may prefer not to release exact data, but instead to grant researchers access to approximate data. For example, rather than providing the exact measurements of their clients, they may only provide researchers with grouped data, that is, the number of clients falling in each of a set of non-overlap** measurement intervals. The challenge is to estimate the mean and variance structure of the hidden ungrouped data based on the observed grouped data. To tackle this problem, this work considers the exact observed data likelihood and applies the Expectation-Maximization (EM) and Monte-Carlo EM (MCEM) algorithms for cases where the hidden data follow a univariate, bivariate, or multivariate normal distribution. Simulation studies are conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed EM and MCEM algorithms. The well-known Galton data set is considered as an application example.

The Heider balance addresses three-body interactions with the assumption that triads are equally important in the dynamics of the network. In many networks, the relations do not have the same strength so, triads are differently weighted. Now, the question is how social networks evolve to reduce the number of unbalanced triangles when they are weighted? Are the results foreseeable based on what we have already learned from the unweighted balance? To find the solution, we consider a fully connected network in which triads are assigned with different random weights. Weights are coming from Gaussian probability distribution with mean $μ$ and variance $σ$. We study this system in two regimes : (\RN{1}) the ratio of $\fracμσ \ge 1 $ corresponds to weak disorder (small variance) that triads' weight are approximately the same, (\RN{2}) $\fracμσ < 1 $ counts for strong disorder (big variance) and weights are remarkably diverse. Investigating the structural evolution of such a network is our intention. We see disorder plays a key role in determining the critical temperature of the system. Using the mean-field method to present an analytic solution for the system represents that the system undergoes a first-order phase transition. For weak disorder, our simulation results display the system reaches the global minimum as temperature decreases whereas for high disorder we manage to see a seudo-Kondo effect in triadic interactions. The Kondo effect explains the anomalous increase in electrical resistivity of metals due to magnetic impurities at low temperatures. Similar behavior is seen in the energy versus temperature in our work for the second regime and the system does not reach a global minimum.

Genes communicate with each other through different regulatory effects, which lead to the emergence of complex structures in cells, and such structures are expected to be different for normal and cancerous cells. To study breast cancer differences, we have investigated the Gene Regulatory Network (GRN) of cells as inferred from RNA-sequencing data. The GRN is a signed weighted network corresponding to the inductive or inhibitory interactions. Here we focus on a particular of motifs in the GRN, the triangles, which are imbalanced if the number of negative interactions are odd. By studying the stability of imbalanced triangles in the GRN, we show that the network of cancerous cells has fewer imbalanced triangles compared to normal. Moreover, in the normal cells, imbalanced triangles are isolated from the main part of the network, while such motifs are part of the network's giant component in cancerous cells. Our result demonstrates that due to genes' collective behavior the complex structures are different in cancerous cells from those in normal ones.

In his book `Physics and Philosophy', Heisenberg suggested that the quantum world is one of ``potentialities or possibilities'' and that the classical realm is one of ``things or facts''. After ascertaining that his categories most naturally have the structure of ontological equivalence classes, we show that they cannot be seriously introduced into the quantum formalism without rendering it incoherent, as under some circumstances the formalism permits an equality between members of distinct equivalence classes. This is labeled the `equality of inequivalents problem'. Three possible reactions are discussed: First, one could deny the problem by challenging some of the assumptions that underlie its formulation; second, one could accept the problem and take it to be grounds for dismissing Heisenberg's or similar distinctions altogether; third, one could accept the problem but take its source to be not Heisenberg's distinction but the quantum formalism. A plausibility argument in support of the third reaction is given by analogy: it is shown that axiomatic probability suffers from a similar problem if one wishes to seriously distinguish between things which are possibilities and things which are not. An enriched axiomatization of probability is proposed which captures the concept of probability as a measure over possibilities and thereby overcomes the equality of inequivalents problem in axiomatic probability.

In this system, to detect the falling sleep state of the driver as the sign of drowsiness, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) are used with regarding the two goals of real-time application, including high accuracy and fastness. Three networks introduced as a potential network for eye status classifcation in which one of them is a Fully Designed Neural Network (FD-NN) and others use Transfer Learning in VGG16 and VGG19 with extra designed layers (TL-VGG). Lack of an available and accurate eye dataset strongly feels in the area of eye closure detection. Therefore, a new comprehensive dataset proposed. The experimental results show the high accuracy and low computational complexity of the eye closure estimation and the ability of the proposed framework on drowsiness detection.

Such models not only open new doors for addressing the problems of the standard model, but also have unique signatures at hadron colliders, which might explain why we have not yet seen any superpartners at the LHC. Here we use gauge-gravity duality to model the conformal sector, generate collider simulations, and finally analyze continuum gluino signatures at the LHC. Due to the increase in the number of jets produced the bounds are weaker than for the minimal supersymmetric standard model with the same gluino mass threshold.

In signed networks with simultaneous friendly and hostile interactions, there is a general tendency to a global structural balance, based on the dynamical model of links status. Although the structural balance represents a state of the network with a lack of contentious situations, there are always tensions in real networks. To study such networks, we generalize the balance dynamics in nonzero temperatures. The presented model uses elements from Boltzmann-Gibbs statistical physics to assign an energy to each type of triad, and it introduces the temperature as a measure of tension tolerance of the network. Based on the mean-field solution of the model, we find out that the model undergoes a first-order phase transition from an imbalanced random state to structural balance with a critical temperature $T_{c}$, where in the case of $T > T_{c}$ there is no chance to reach the balanced state. A main feature of the first-order phase transition is the occurrence of a hysteresis loop crossing the balanced and imbalanced regimes.

Spectre attacks and their many subsequent variants are a new vulnerability class affecting modern CPUs. The attacks rely on the ability to misguide speculative execution, generally by exploiting the branch prediction structures, to execute a vulnerable code sequence speculatively. In this paper, we propose to use Control-Flow Integrity (CFI), a security technique used to stop control-flow hijacking attacks, on the committed path, to prevent speculative control-flow from being hijacked to launch the most dangerous variants of the Spectre attacks (Spectre-BTB and Spectre-RSB). Specifically, CFI attempts to constrain the possible targets of an indirect branch to a set of legal targets defined by a pre-calculated control-flow graph (CFG). As CFI is being adopted by commodity software (e.g., Windows and Android) and commodity hardware (e.g., Intel's CET and ARM's BTI), the CFI information becomes readily available through the hardware CFI extensions. With the CFI information, we apply CFI principles to also constrain illegal control-flow during speculative execution. Specifically, our proposed defense, SPECCFI, ensures that control flow instructions target legal destinations to constrain dangerous speculation on forward control-flow paths (indirect calls and branches). We augment this protection with a precise speculation-aware hardware stack to constrain speculation on backward control-flow edges (returns). We combine this solution with existing solutions against branch target predictor attacks (Spectre-PHT) to close all known non-vendor-specific Spectre vulnerabilities. We show that SPECCFI results in small overheads both in terms of performance and additional hardware complexity.

A dark energy model (DE) is proposed based on Ginzburg-Landau theory of phase transition (GLT). This model, GLTofDE, surprisingly provides a framework to study not only temporal tensions in cosmology e.g. $H_0$ tension but also spatial anomalies of CMB e.g. the hemispherical power asymmetry and quadrupole-octopole alignment. In the mean field (or Landau) approximation of GLTofDE, there is a spontaneously symmetry breaking exactly like the Higgs potential. We modeled this transition, phenomenologically, and showed that GLTofDE can resolve both the $H_0$ tension and Lyman-$α$ anomaly in a non-trivial way. According to $χ^2$-analysis the transition happens at $z_t=0.738\pm0.028$ while $H_0=71.89\pm0.93$ km/s/Mpc and $Ω^{like}_{k}=-0.225\pm0.049$ which are consistent with the latest $H(z)$ reconstructions. In addition, the GLTofDE proposes a framework to address the CMB anomalies when it is considered beyond the mean field approximation. In this regime existence of a long wavelength mode is a typical consequence which is named the Goldstone mode in the case of continuous symmetries. This mode, which is an automatic byproduct in GLTofDE, makes cosmological constant, direction dependent. This means one side of the sky should be colder than the other side in agreement with what has been already observed in CMB. In addition between initial stochastic pattern and the final state with one long wavelength mode, we can observe smaller patches or protrusions of the biggest remaining patch in the simulation. Our simulations show these protrusions are few in numbers and will be evolved according to Alan-Cahn mechanism. These protrusions can give an additional effect on CMB which is the existence of aligned quadrupole-octopole mode and its direction should be orthogonal to the dipole direction. We conclude that GLTofDE is a fertile framework both theoretically and phenomenologically.

In this paper, we present an approach for generating a variety of whole-body motions for a humanoid robot. We extend the available Model Predictive Control (MPC) approaches for walking on flat terrain to plan for both vertical motion of the Center of Mass (CoM) and external contact forces consistent with a given task. The optimization problem is comprised of three stages, i. e. the CoM vertical motion, joint angles, and contact forces planning. The choice of external contact (e. g. hand contact with the object or environment) among all available locations and the appropriate time to reach and maintain a contact are all computed automatically within the algorithm. The presented algorithm benefits from the simplicity of the Linear Inverted Pendulum Model (LIPM), while it overcomes the common limitations of this model and enables us to generate a variety of whole-body motions through external contacts. Simulation and experimental implementation of several whole-body actions in multi-contact scenarios on a humanoid robot show the capability of the proposed algorithm.

Based on tensions between the early and late time cosmology, we proposed a double valued cosmological constant which could undergo a phase transition in its history. It is named "double-$Λ$ Cold Dark Matter": $ΛΛ$CDM. An occurred phase transition results in (micro-) structures for the dark sector with a proper (local) interaction. In this paper, inspired by the physics of critical phenomena, we study a simplified model such that the cosmological constant has two values before a transition scale factor, $a_t$, and afterwards it becomes single-valued. We consider both the background and perturbation data sets including CMB, BAO distances and R19 data point. $ΛΛ$CDM has its maximum likelihood for $a_t= 0.916^{+0.055}_{-0.0076}$ and $H_0= 72.8\pm 1.6$. This result shows no inconsistency between early and late time measurements of Hubble parameter in $ΛΛ$CDM model. In comparison to $Λ$CDM, our model has better fit to data such that $Δχ^2=-11$ and even if we take care of two additional degrees of freedom we do have better AIC quantity $Δ$AIC$=-7$. We conclude that a phase transition in the behavior of dark energy can address $H_0$ tension successfully and may be responsible for the other cosmological tensions.

Although this method has a wide range of applications, most of the previous analyses have focused on the pairwise relations. Here we establish the potential of such a method to elicit aggregated behavior of the system by making a connection with the concepts from percolation theory. We study the dynamical interaction networks of a financial market extracted from the correlation network of indices, and build a weighted network. In correspondence with the percolation model, we find that away from financial crises the interaction network behaves like a critical random network of Erdős-Rényi, while close to a financial crisis, our model deviates from the critical random network and behaves differently at different size scales. We perform further analysis to clarify that our observation is not a simple consequence of the growth in correlations over the crises.

Available possibilities to prevent a biped robot from falling down in the presence of severe disturbances are mainly Center of Pressure (CoP) modulation, step location and timing adjustment, and angular momentum regulation. In this paper, we aim at designing a walking pattern generator which employs an optimal combination of these tools to generate robust gaits. In this approach, first, the next step location and timing are decided consistent with the commanded walking velocity and based on the Divergent Component of Motion (DCM) measurement. This stage which is done by a very small-size Quadratic Program (QP) uses the Linear Inverted Pendulum Model (LIPM) dynamics to adapt the switching contact location and time. Then, consistent with the first stage, the LIPM with flywheel dynamics is used to regenerate the DCM and angular momentum trajectories at each control cycle. This is done by modulating the CoP and Centroidal Momentum Pivot (CMP) to realize a desired DCM at the end of current step. Simulation results show the merit of this reactive approach in generating robust and dynamically consistent walking patterns.

In many social complex systems, in which agents are linked by non-linear interactions, the history of events strongly influences the whole network dynamics. However, a class of "commonly accepted beliefs" seems rarely studied. In this paper, we examine how the growth process of a (social) network is influenced by past circumstances. In order to tackle this cause, we simply modify the well known preferential attachment mechanism by imposing a time dependent kernel function in the network evolution equation. This approach leads to a fractional order Barabasi-Albert (BA) differential equation, generalizing the BA model. Our results show that, with passing time, an aging process is observed for the network dynamics. The aging process leads to a decay for the node degree values, thereby creating an opposing process to the preferential attachment mechanism. On one hand, based on the preferential attachment mechanism, nodes with a high degree are more likely to absorb links; but, on the other hand, a node's age has a reduced chance for new connections. This competitive scenario allows an increased chance for younger members to become a hub. Simulations of such a network growth with aging constraint confirm the results found from solving the fractional BA equation. We also report, as an exemplary application, an investigation of the collaboration network between Hollywood movie actors. It is undubiously shown that a decay in the dynamics of their collaboration rate is found, - even including a sex difference. Such findings suggest a widely universal application of the so generalized BA model.

Hence the class of all densely chaotic generalized shifts on $X^Γ$ is intermediate between the class of all Devaney chaotic generalized shifts on $X^Γ$ and the class of all Li-Yorke chaotic generalized shifts on $X^Γ$. In addition, these inclusions are proper for infinite countable $Γ$.
Moreover we prove $(X^Γ,σ_\varphi)$ is Li-Yorke sensitive (resp. sensitive, strongly sensitive, asymptotic sensitive, syndetically sensitive, cofinitely sensitive, multi-sensitive, ergodically sensitive, spatiotemporally chaotic, Li-Yorke chaotic) if and only if $\varphi:Γ\toΓ$ has at least one non-quasi-periodic point.

The main aim of this text is to study ${\mathfrak P}_{\mathcal I}^α(X)$s and compare them. Most interest is in $α\in\{ω,c\}$ and $\mathcal I\in\{\mathcal P_{fin}(X),\{\varnothing\}\}$, where $\mathcal P_{fin}(X)$ denotes the collection of all finite subsets of $X$. We denote ${\mathfrak P}_{\{\varnothing\}}^α(X)$ with ${\mathfrak P}^α(X)$. We prove the following statements:
$\bullet$ for arc connected topological spaces $X$ and $Y$ if ${\mathfrak P}^α(X)$ is isomorphic to ${\mathfrak P}^α(Y)$ for all infinite cardinal number $α$, then $π_1(X)$ is isomorphic to $π_1(Y)$;
$\bullet$ there are arc connected topological spaces $X$ and $Y$ such that $π_1(X)$ is isomorphic to $π_1(Y)$ but ${\mathfrak P}^ω(X)$ is not isomorphic to ${\mathfrak P}^ω(Y)$;
$\bullet$ for arc connected topological space $X$ we have ${\mathfrak P}^ω(X)\subseteq{\mathfrak P}^c(X) \subseteqπ_1(X)$;
$\bullet$ for Hawaiian earring $\mathcal X$, the sets ${\mathfrak P}^ω({\mathcal X})$, ${\mathfrak P}^c({\mathcal X})$, and $π_1({\mathcal X})$ are pairwise distinct.
So ${\mathfrak P}^α(X)$s and ${\mathfrak P}_{\mathcal I}^α(X)$s will help us to classify the class of all arc connected topological spaces with isomorphic fundamental groups.

Social media are massive marketplaces where ideas and news compete for our attention. Previous studies have shown that quality is not a necessary condition for online virality and that knowledge about peer choices can distort the relationship between quality and popularity. However, these results do not explain the viral spread of low-quality information, such as the digital misinformation that threatens our democracy. We investigate quality discrimination in a stylized model of online social network, where individual agents prefer quality information, but have behavioral limitations in managing a heavy flow of information. We measure the relationship between the quality of an idea and its likelihood to become prevalent at the system level. We find that both information overload and limited attention contribute to a degradation in the market's discriminative power. A good tradeoff between discriminative power and diversity of information is possible according to the model. However, calibration with empirical data characterizing information load and finite attention in real social media reveals a weak correlation between quality and popularity of information. In these realistic conditions, the model predicts that high-quality information has little advantage over low-quality information.

In the context of network dynamics, the complexity of systems increases possible evolutionary paths that often are not deterministic. Occasionally, some map routs form over the course of time which guide systems towards some particular states. The main intention of this study is to discover an indicator that can help predict these pseudo-deterministic paths in advance. Here we investigate the dynamics of networks based on Heider balance theory that states the tendency of systems towards decreasing tension. This inclination leads systems to some local and global minimum tension states called "jammed states" and "balanced states", respectively. We show that not only paths towards jammed states are not completely random but also there exist secret pseudo deterministic paths that bound the system to end up in these special states. Our results display that the Inverse Participation Ratio method (IPR) can be a suitable indicator that exhibits collective behaviors of systems. According to this method, these specific paths are those that host the most participation of the constituents in the system. A direct proportionality exists between the distance and the selectable paths towards local minimums; where by getting close to the final steps there is no other way but the one to the jammed states.

The proper spin-foam vertex amplitude is obtained from the EPRL vertex by projecting out all but a single gravitational sector, in order to achieve correct semi-classical behavior. In this paper we calculate the gravitational two-point function predicted by the proper spin-foam vertex to lowest order in the vertex expansion. We find the same answer as in the EPRL case in the `continuum spectrum' limit, so that the theory is consistent with the predictions of linearized gravity in the regime of small curvature. The method for calculating the two-point function is similar to that used in prior works: we cast it in terms of an action integral and to use stationary phase methods. Thus, the calculation of the Hessian matrix plays a key role. Once the Hessian is calculated, it is used not only to calculate the two-point function, but also to calculate the coefficient appearing in the semi-classical limit of the proper vertex amplitude itself. This coefficient is the effective discrete "measure factor" encoded in the spin-foam model. Through a non-trivial cancellation of different factors, we find that this coefficient is the same as the coefficient in front of the term in the asymptotics of the EPRL vertex corresponding to the selected gravitational sector.

Growth dynamic of real networks because of emerging complexities is an open and interesting question. Indeed it is not realistic to ignore history impact on the current events. The mystery behind that complexity could be in the role of history in some how. To regard this point, the average effect of history has been included by a kernel function in differential equation of Barabasi Albert (BA) model . This approach leads to a fractional order BA differential equation as a generalization of BA model. As opposed to unlimited growth for degree of nodes, our results show that over time the memory impact will cause a decay for degrees. This gives a higher chance to younger members for turning to a hub. In fact in a real network, there are two competitive processes. On one hand, based on preferential attachment mechanism nodes with higher degree are more likely to absorb links. On the other hand, node history through aging process prevents new connections. Our findings from simulating a network grown by considering these effects also from studying a real network of collaboration between Hollywood movie actors conforms the results and significant effects of history and time on dynamic.
