Chiplet-based systems, integrating various silicon dies manufactured at different integrated circuit technology nodes on a carrier interposer, have garnered significant attention in recent years due to their cost-effectiveness and competitive performance. The widespread adoption of reinforcement learning as a sequential placement method has introduced a new challenge in determining the optimal placement order for each chiplet. The order in which chiplets are placed on the interposer influences the spatial resources available for earlier and later placed chiplets, making the placement results highly sensitive to the sequence of chiplet placement. To address these challenges, we propose a learning to rank approach with graph representation, building upon the reinforcement learning framework RLPlanner. This method aims to select the optimal chiplet placement order for each chiplet-based system. Experimental results demonstrate that compared to placement order obtained solely based on the descending order of the chiplet area and the number of interconnect wires between the chiplets, utilizing the placement order obtained from the learning to rank network leads to further improvements in system temperature and inter-chiplet wirelength. Specifically, applying the top-ranked placement order obtained from the learning to rank network results in a 10.05% reduction in total inter-chiplet wirelength and a 1.01% improvement in peak system temperature during the chiplet placement process.

KM2A is one of the main sub-arrays of LHAASO, working on gamma ray astronomy and cosmic ray physics at energies above 10 TeV. Detector simulation is the important foundation for estimating detector performance and data analysis. It is a big challenge to simulate the KM2A detector in the framework of Geant4 due to the need to track numerous photons from a large number of detector units (>6000) with large altitude difference (30 m) and huge coverage (1.3 km^2). In this paper, the design of the KM2A simulation code G4KM2A based on Geant4 is introduced. The process of G4KM2A is optimized mainly in memory consumption to avoid memory overffow. Some simpliffcations are used to signiffcantly speed up the execution of G4KM2A. The running time is reduced by at least 30 times compared to full detector simulation. The particle distributions and the core/angle resolution comparison between simulation and experimental data of the full KM2A array are also presented, which show good agreement.

Strong gravitational lensing is a powerful tool for investigating dark matter and dark energy properties. With the advent of large-scale sky surveys, we can discover strong lensing systems on an unprecedented scale, which requires efficient tools to extract them from billions of astronomical objects. The existing mainstream lens-finding tools are based on machine learning algorithms and applied to cut-out-centered galaxies. However, according to the design and survey strategy of optical surveys by CSST, preparing cutouts with multiple bands requires considerable efforts. To overcome these challenges, we have developed a framework based on a hierarchical visual Transformer with a sliding window technique to search for strong lensing systems within entire images. Moreover, given that multi-color images of strong lensing systems can provide insights into their physical characteristics, our framework is specifically crafted to identify strong lensing systems in images with any number of channels. As evaluated using CSST mock data based on an Semi-Analytic Model named CosmoDC2, our framework achieves precision and recall rates of 0.98 and 0.90, respectively. To evaluate the effectiveness of our method in real observations, we have applied it to a subset of images from the DESI Legacy Imaging Surveys and media images from Euclid Early Release Observations. 61 new strong lensing system candidates are discovered by our method. However, we also identified false positives arising primarily from the simplified galaxy morphology assumptions within the simulation. This underscores the practical limitations of our approach while simultaneously highlighting potential avenues for future improvements.

We present RiEMann, an end-to-end near Real-time SE(3)-Equivariant Robot Manipulation imitation learning framework from scene point cloud input. Compared to previous methods that rely on descriptor field matching, RiEMann directly predicts the target poses of objects for manipulation without any object segmentation. RiEMann learns a manipulation task from scratch with 5 to 10 demonstrations, generalizes to unseen SE(3) transformations and instances of target objects, resists visual interference of distracting objects, and follows the near real-time pose change of the target object. The scalable action space of RiEMann facilitates the addition of custom equivariant actions such as the direction of turning the faucet, which makes articulated object manipulation possible for RiEMann. In simulation and real-world 6-DOF robot manipulation experiments, we test RiEMann on 5 categories of manipulation tasks with a total of 25 variants and show that RiEMann outperforms baselines in both task success rates and SE(3) geodesic distance errors on predicted poses (reduced by 68.6%), and achieves a 5.4 frames per second (FPS) network inference speed. Large language models (LLMs) demonstrate substantial capabilities in solving math problems. However, they tend to produce hallucinations when given questions containing unreasonable errors. In this paper, we study the behavior of LLMs when faced with unreasonable math problems and further explore their potential to address these problems. We construct the Unreasonable Math Problem (UMP) benchmark to examine the error detection ability of LLMs. Experiments show that LLMs are able to detect unreasonable errors, but still fail in generating non-hallucinatory content. In order to improve their ability of error detection and correction, we further design a strategic prompt template called Critical Calculation and Conclusion(CCC). With CCC, LLMs can better self-evaluate and detect unreasonable errors in math questions, making them more reliable and safe in practical application scenarios.

We observe systematic profile changes in the visible pulsar of the compact double neutron star system PSR~J1946+2052 using observations with the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST). The interpulse of PSR~J1946+2052 changed from single-peak to double-peak shape from 2018 to 2021. We attribute this evolution as the result of the relativistic spin precession of the pulsar. With the high sensitivity of FAST, we also measure significant polarization for the first time, allowing us to model this with the precessional rotating vector model. Assuming, to the first order, a circular hollow-cone-like emission beam pattern and taking the validity of general relativity, we derive the binary's orbital inclination angle (${63^\circ}^{+5^\circ}_{-3^\circ}$) and pulsar's spin geometry. Pulsar's spin vector and the orbital angular momentum vector are found to be only slightly misaligned (${0.21^\circ}^{+0.28^\circ}_{-0.10^\circ}$).The quoted uncertainties do not reflect the systematic uncertainties introduced by our model assumptions. By simulating future observations of profile and polarization evolution, we estimate that we could constrain the precession rate within a $43\%$ uncertainty in 9 years. Hence, we suggest that the system's profile evolution could be combined with precise pulsar timing to test general relativity in the future.

The influence of dislocations on the ferroelectric domain wall motion and hysteresis loop including the remanent polarization and coercive field using phase-field simulations is analyzed. The pinning effect of the dislocation on the domain wall motion is discussed and whether the domain wall is pined is the competition between the external loading and the magnitude of the burgers vector of the dislocation. This work could contribute to the understanding of the pining effect of the dislocation and provide guidance for the fabrication of ferroelectric thin films.

We report a first study of the semileptonic decay $D^0\rightarrow K^-π^0μ^{+}ν_μ$ by analyzing an $e^+e^-$ annihilation data sample of $7.9~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ collected at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector. The absolute branching fraction of $D^0\to K^-π^0μ^{+}ν_μ$ is measured for the first time to be $(0.729 \pm 0.014_{\rm stat} \pm 0.011_{\rm syst})\%$. Based on an amplitude analysis, the $S\text{-}{\rm wave}$ contribution is determined to be $(5.76 \pm 0.35_{\rm stat} \pm 0.29_{\rm syst})\%$ of the total decay rate in addition to the dominated $K^{*}(892)^-$ component. The branching fraction of $D^0\to K^{*}(892)^-μ^+ν_μ$ is given to be $(2.062 \pm 0.039_{\rm stat} \pm 0.032_{\rm syst})\%$, which improves the precision of the world average by a factor of 5. Combining with the world average of ${\mathcal B}(D^0\to K^{*}(892)^-e^+ν_e)$, the ratio of the branching fractions obtained is $\frac{{\mathcal B}(D^0\to K^{*}(892)^-μ^+ν_μ)}{{\mathcal B}(D^0\to K^{*}(892)^-e^+ν_e)} = 0.96\pm0.08$, in agreement with lepton flavor universality. Furthermore, assuming single-pole dominance parameterization, the most precise hadronic form factor ratios for $D^0\to K^{*}(892)^{-} μ^+ν_μ$ are extracted to be $r_{V}=V(0)/A_1(0)=1.37 \pm 0.09_{\rm stat} \pm 0.03_{\rm syst}$ and $r_{2}=A_2(0)/A_1(0)=0.76 \pm 0.06_{\rm stat} \pm 0.02_{\rm syst}$.

We present the measurements of all-particle energy spectrum and mean logarithmic mass of cosmic rays in the energy range of 0.3-30 PeV using data collected from LHAASO-KM2A between September 2021 and December 2022, which is based on a nearly composition-independent energy reconstruction method, achieving unprecedented accuracy. Our analysis reveals the position of the knee at $3.67 \pm 0.05 \pm 0.15$ PeV. Below the knee, the spectral index is found to be -$2.7413 \pm 0.0004 \pm 0.0050$, while above the knee, it is -$3.128 \pm 0.005 \pm 0.027$, with the sharpness of the transition measured with a statistical error of 2%. The mean logarithmic mass of cosmic rays is almost heavier than helium in the whole measured energy range. It decreases from 1.7 at 0.3 PeV to 1.3 at 3 PeV, representing a 24% decline following a power law with an index of -$0.1200 \pm 0.0003 \pm 0.0341$. This is equivalent to an increase in abundance of light components. Above the knee, the mean logarithmic mass exhibits a power law trend towards heavier components, which is reversal to the behavior observed in the all-particle energy spectrum. Additionally, the knee position and the change in power-law index are approximately the same. These findings suggest that the knee observed in the all-particle spectrum corresponds to the knee of the light component, rather than the medium-heavy components.

The recent increasing interest in detecting gravitational waves (GWs) by lunar seismic measurement urges us to have a clear understanding of the response of the moon to passing GWs. In this paper, we clarify the relationship between two seemly different response functions which have been derived previously using two different methods, one taking the field-theory approach and the other using the tidal force induced by GWs. We revisit their derivation and prove, by both analytical arguments and numerical calculations, that the two response functions are equivalent. Their apparent difference can be attributed to the choice of different coordinates. Using the correct response function, we calculate the sensitivities (to GWs) of several designed lunar seismometers, and find that the sensitivity curves between $10^{-3}$ and $0.1$ Hz are much flatter than the previous calculations based on normal-mode model. Our results will help clarifying the scientific objectives of lunar GW observation, as well as provide important constraints on the design of lunar GW detectors.

We introduce StyleGaussian, a novel 3D style transfer technique that allows instant transfer of any image's style to a 3D scene at 10 frames per second (fps). Leveraging 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS), StyleGaussian achieves style transfer without compromising its real-time rendering ability and multi-view consistency. It achieves instant style transfer with three steps: embedding, transfer, and decoding. Initially, 2D VGG scene features are embedded into reconstructed 3D Gaussians. Next, the embedded features are transformed according to a reference style image. Finally, the transformed features are decoded into the stylized RGB. StyleGaussian has two novel designs. The first is an efficient feature rendering strategy that first renders low-dimensional features and then maps them into high-dimensional features while embedding VGG features. It cuts the memory consumption significantly and enables 3DGS to render the high-dimensional memory-intensive features. The second is a K-nearest-neighbor-based 3D CNN. Working as the decoder for the stylized features, it eliminates the 2D CNN operations that compromise strict multi-view consistency. Extensive experiments show that StyleGaussian achieves instant 3D stylization with superior stylization quality while preserving real-time rendering and strict multi-view consistency. Estimating reliable geometric model parameters from the data with severe outliers is a fundamental and important task in computer vision. This paper attempts to sample high-quality subsets and select model instances to estimate parameters in the multi-structural data. To address this, we propose an effective method called Latent Semantic Consensus (LSC). The principle of LSC is to preserve the latent semantic consensus in both data points and model hypotheses. Specifically, LSC formulates the model fitting problem into two latent semantic spaces based on data points and model hypotheses, respectively. Then, LSC explores the distributions of points in the two latent semantic spaces, to remove outliers, generate high-quality model hypotheses, and effectively estimate model instances. Finally, LSC is able to provide consistent and reliable solutions within only a few milliseconds for general multi-structural model fitting, due to its deterministic fitting nature and efficiency. Compared with several state-of-the-art model fitting methods, our LSC achieves significant superiority for the performance of both accuracy and speed on synthetic data and real images. The code will be available at https://github.com/guobaoxiao/LSC.

This study explores the challenge of sentence-level AI-generated text detection within human-AI collaborative hybrid texts. Existing studies of AI-generated text detection for hybrid texts often rely on synthetic datasets. These typically involve hybrid texts with a limited number of boundaries. We contend that studies of detecting AI-generated content within hybrid texts should cover different types of hybrid texts generated in realistic settings to better inform real-world applications. Therefore, our study utilizes the CoAuthor dataset, which includes diverse, realistic hybrid texts generated through the collaboration between human writers and an intelligent writing system in multi-turn interactions. We adopt a two-step, segmentation-based pipeline: (i) detect segments within a given hybrid text where each segment contains sentences of consistent authorship, and (ii) classify the authorship of each identified segment. Our empirical findings highlight (1) detecting AI-generated sentences in hybrid texts is overall a challenging task because (1.1) human writers' selecting and even editing AI-generated sentences based on personal preferences adds difficulty in identifying the authorship of segments; (1.2) the frequent change of authorship between neighboring sentences within the hybrid text creates difficulties for segment detectors in identifying authorship-consistent segments; (1.3) the short length of text segments within hybrid texts provides limited stylistic cues for reliable authorship determination; (2) before embarking on the detection process, it is beneficial to assess the average length of segments within the hybrid text. This assessment aids in deciding whether (2.1) to employ a text segmentation-based strategy for hybrid texts with longer segments, or (2.2) to adopt a direct sentence-by-sentence classification strategy for those with shorter segments.

Among the various candidates for dark matter (DM), ultralight vector DM can be probed by laser interferometric gravitational wave detectors through the measurement of oscillating length changes in the arm cavities. In this context, KAGRA has a unique feature due to differing compositions of its mirrors, enhancing the signal of vector DM in the length change in the auxiliary channels. Here we present the result of a search for $U(1)_{B-L}$ gauge boson DM using the KAGRA data from auxiliary length channels during the first joint observation run together with GEO600. By applying our search pipeline, which takes into account the stochastic nature of ultralight DM, upper bounds on the coupling strength between the $U(1)_{B-L}$ gauge boson and ordinary matter are obtained for a range of DM masses. While our constraints are less stringent than those derived from previous experiments, this study demonstrates the applicability of our method to the lower-mass vector DM search, which is made difficult in this measurement by the short observation time compared to the auto-correlation time scale of DM.

Coalescing neutron star--white dwarf (NS-WD) binaries are among the primary targets for upcoming space-borne gravitational wave (GW) detectors such as LISA, TaiJi, TianQin, etc. During close interaction, these binaries undergo mass transfer, emitting simultaneous X-rays and GWs. This offers a unique opportunity to measure mass transfer rates and study compact binary evolution. To analyze mass transfer rates, we employ the TaylorF2 frequency domain waveform model within the stationary phase approximation (SPA). Through this approach, we derive the GW phase induced during the mass transfer phase and perform Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) simulations to estimate the minimal detectable mass transfer rate given specific signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs). Our results suggest that for a NS-WD binary with a $0.5 \rm M_\odot$ white dwarf companion, we could measure mass transfer rates down to $10^{-7}\rm M_\odot , {\rm yr}^{-1}$ at SNR=20 and $10^{-9}\rm M_\odot , {\rm yr}^{-1}$ at SNR=1000. This measurement holds significance for studying compact binary evolution involving mass transfer and has potential applications in forecasting tidal disruption events.

To train ShieldLM, we compile a large bilingual dataset comprising 14,387 query-response pairs, annotating the safety of responses based on various safety standards. Through extensive experiments, we demonstrate that ShieldLM surpasses strong baselines across four test sets, showcasing remarkable customizability and explainability. Besides performing well on standard detection datasets, ShieldLM has also been shown to be effective in real-world situations as a safety evaluator for advanced LLMs. We release ShieldLM at \url{https://github.com/thu-coai/ShieldLM} to support accurate and explainable safety detection under various safety standards, contributing to the ongoing efforts to enhance the safety of LLMs.

The safety defense methods of Large language models(LLMs) stays limited because the dangerous prompts are manually curated to just few known attack types, which fails to keep pace with emerging varieties. Recent studies found that attaching suffixes to harmful instructions can hack the defense of LLMs and lead to dangerous outputs. However, similar to traditional text adversarial attacks, this approach, while effective, is limited by the challenge of the discrete tokens. This gradient based discrete optimization attack requires over 100,000 LLM calls, and due to the unreadable of adversarial suffixes, it can be relatively easily penetrated by common defense methods such as perplexity filters. To cope with this challenge, in this paper, we proposes an Adversarial Suffix Embedding Translation Framework (ASETF), aimed at transforming continuous adversarial suffix embeddings into coherent and understandable text. This method greatly reduces the computational overhead during the attack process and helps to automatically generate multiple adversarial samples, which can be used as data to strengthen LLMs security defense. Experimental evaluations were conducted on Llama2, Vicuna, and other prominent LLMs, employing harmful directives sourced from the Advbench dataset. The results indicate that our method significantly reduces the computation time of adversarial suffixes and achieves a much better attack success rate to existing techniques, while significantly enhancing the textual fluency of the prompts. In addition, our approach can be generalized into a broader method for generating transferable adversarial suffixes that can successfully attack multiple LLMs, even black-box LLMs, such as ChatGPT and Gemini.

Over the past several decades, conventional spectral analysis techniques of polluted white dwarfs have become powerful tools to learn about the geology and chemistry of extrasolar bodies. Despite their proven capabilities and extensive legacy of scientific discoveries, these techniques are however still limited by their manual, time-intensive, and iterative nature. As a result, they are susceptible to human errors and are difficult to scale up to population-wide studies of metal pollution. This paper seeks to address this problem by presenting cecilia, the first Machine Learning (ML)-powered spectral modeling code designed to measure the metal abundances of intermediate-temperature (10,000$\leq T_{\rm eff} \leq$20,000 K), Helium-rich polluted white dwarfs. Trained with more than 22,000 randomly drawn atmosphere models and stellar parameters, our pipeline aims to overcome the limitations of classical methods by replacing the generation of synthetic spectra from computationally expensive codes and uniformly spaced model grids, with a fast, automated, and efficient neural-network-based interpolator. More specifically, cecilia combines state-of-the-art atmosphere models, powerful artificial intelligence tools, and robust statistical techniques to rapidly generate synthetic spectra of polluted white dwarfs in high-dimensional space, and enable accurate ($\lesssim$0.1 dex) and simultaneous measurements of 14 stellar parameters -- including 11 elemental abundances -- from real spectroscopic observations. As massively multiplexed astronomical surveys begin scientific operations, cecilia's performance has the potential to unlock large-scale studies of extrasolar geochemistry and propel the field of white dwarf science into the era of Big Data. In doing so, we aspire to uncover new statistical insights that were previously impractical with traditional white dwarf characterisation techniques.

Controllable text generation is a growing field within natural language generation (NLG) that focuses on producing text that meets specific constraints in real-world applications. Previous approaches, such as plug-and-play controllers (PPCs), aimed to steer the properties of generated text in a flexible manner. However, these methods often compromised the integrity of the language model's decoding process, resulting in less smooth text generation. Alternatively, other techniques utilized multiple attribute prompts to align the generated text with desired attributes, but this approach required prompt design for each attribute and was dependent on the size of the language model. This paper introduces a novel method for flexible attribute control in text generation using pre-trained language models (PLMs). The proposed approach aims to enhance the fluency of generated text by guiding the generation process with PPCs. The key idea is to dynamically adjust the distribution of generated text by modifying prompts, effectively constraining the output space of the language model and influencing the desired attribute. To enable smooth cooperation between the PLM and the PPC, our work innovatively proposes a new model fine-tuning method: Reinforcement Learning with Dynamic Adjust Feedback (RLDAF).This fine-tuning process adapts a small subset of the language model's parameters based on the generating actions taken during the PPC control process. The resulting harmonious collaboration between the PLM and PPC leads to improved smoothness in text generation during inference. Extensive experiments were conducted on the SST2 dataset, and the proposed method outperformed previous approaches in various evaluation metrics, including text fluency and attribute consistency.

The recent Segment Anything Model (SAM) has demonstrated remarkable zero-shot capability and flexible geometric prompting in general image segmentation. However, SAM often struggles when handling various unconventional images, such as aerial, medical, and non-RGB images. This paper presents CAT-SAM, a ConditionAl Tuning network that adapts SAM toward various unconventional target tasks with just few-shot target samples. CAT-SAM freezes the entire SAM and adapts its mask decoder and image encoder simultaneously with a small number of learnable parameters. The core design is a prompt bridge structure that enables decoder-conditioned joint tuning of the heavyweight image encoder and the lightweight mask decoder. The bridging maps the prompt token of the mask decoder to the image encoder, fostering synergic adaptation of the encoder and the decoder with mutual benefits. We develop two representative tuning strategies for the image encoder which leads to two CAT-SAM variants: one injecting learnable prompt tokens in the input space and the other inserting lightweight adapter networks. Extensive experiments over 11 unconventional tasks show that both CAT-SAM variants achieve superior target segmentation performance consistently even under the very challenging one-shot adaptation setup. Foundation models have indeed made a profound impact on various fields, emerging as pivotal components that significantly shape the capabilities of intelligent systems. In the context of intelligent vehicles, leveraging the power of foundation models has proven to be transformative, offering notable advancements in visual understanding. Equipped with multi-modal and multi-task learning capabilities, multi-modal multi-task visual understanding foundation models (MM-VUFMs) effectively process and fuse data from diverse modalities and simultaneously handle various driving-related tasks with powerful adaptability, contributing to a more holistic understanding of the surrounding scene. In this survey, we present a systematic analysis of MM-VUFMs specifically designed for road scenes. Our objective is not only to provide a comprehensive overview of common practices, referring to task-specific models, unified multi-modal models, unified multi-task models, and foundation model prompting techniques, but also to highlight their advanced capabilities in diverse learning paradigms. These paradigms include open-world understanding, efficient transfer for road scenes, continual learning, interactive and generative capability. Moreover, we provide insights into key challenges and future trends, such as closed-loop driving systems, interpretability, embodied driving agents, and world models. To facilitate researchers in staying abreast of the latest developments in MM-VUFMs for road scenes, we have established a continuously updated repository at https://github.com/rolsheng/MM-VUFM4DS

The branching fractions are measured to be $\mathcal{B}(η'\rightarrowπ^+π^-e^+e^-)=(2.45\pm0.02(\rm{stat.})\pm0.08(\rm{syst.})) \times10^{-3}$ and $\mathcal{B}(η'\rightarrowπ^+π^-μ^+μ^-)=(2.16\pm0.12(\rm{stat.})\pm0.06(\rm{syst.}))\times10^{-5}$, and the ratio is $\frac{\mathcal{B}(η'\rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-}e^{+}e^{-})}{\mathcal{B}(η'\rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-}μ^{+}μ^{-})} = 113.4\pm0.9(\rm{stat.})\pm3.7(\rm{syst.})$. In addition, by combining the $η'\rightarrowπ^+π^-e^+e^-$ and $η'\rightarrowπ^+π^-μ^+μ^-$ decays, the slope parameter of the electromagnetic transition form factor is measured to be $b_{η'}=1.30\pm0.19\ (\mathrm{GeV}/c^{2})^{-2}$, which is consistent with previous measurements from BESIII and theoretical predictions from the VMD model. The asymmetry in the angle between the $π^+π^-$ and $l^+l^-$ decay planes, which has the potential to reveal the $CP$-violation originating from an unconventional electric dipole transition, is also investigated. The asymmetry parameters are determined to be $\mathcal{A}_{CP}(η'\rightarrowπ^+π^-e^+e^-)=(-0.21\pm0.73(\rm{stat.})\pm0.01(\rm{syst.}))\%$ and $\mathcal{A}_{CP}(η'\rightarrowπ^+π^-μ^+μ^-)=(0.62\pm4.71(\rm{stat.})\pm0.08(\rm{syst.}))\%$, implying that no evidence of $CP$-violation is observed at the present statistics. Finally, an axion-like particle is searched for via the decay $η'\rightarrowπ^+π^-a, a\rightarrow e^+e^-$, and upper limits of the branching fractions are presented for the mass assumptions of the axion-like particle in the range of $0-500\ \mathrm{MeV}/c^{2}$.

3C84 is a nearby radio source with a complex total intensity structure, showing linear polarisation and spectral patterns. A detailed investigation of the central engine region necessitates the use of VLBI above the hitherto available maximum frequency of 86GHz. Using ultrahigh resolution VLBI observations at the highest available frequency of 228GHz, we aim to directly detect compact structures and understand the physical conditions in the compact region of 3C84. We used EHT 228GHz observations and, given the limited (u,v)-coverage, applied geometric model fitting to the data. We also employed quasi-simultaneously observed, multi-frequency VLBI data for the source in order to carry out a comprehensive analysis of the core structure. We report the detection of a highly ordered, strong magnetic field around the central, SMBH of 3C84. The brightness temperature analysis suggests that the system is in equipartition. We determined a turnover frequency of $ν_m=(113\pm4)$GHz, a corresponding synchrotron self-absorbed magnetic field of $B_{SSA}=(2.9\pm1.6)$G, and an equipartition magnetic field of $B_{eq}=(5.2\pm0.6)$G. Three components are resolved with the highest fractional polarisation detected for this object ($m_\textrm{net}=(17.0\pm3.9)$%). The positions of the components are compatible with those seen in low-frequency VLBI observations since 2017-2018. We report a steeply negative slope of the spectrum at 228GHz. We used these findings to test models of jet formation, propagation, and Faraday rotation in 3C84. The findings of our investigation into different flow geometries and black hole spins support an advection-dominated accretion flow in a magnetically arrested state around a rapidly rotating supermassive black hole as a model of the jet-launching system in the core of 3C84. However, systematic uncertainties due to the limited (u,v)-coverage, however, cannot be ignored.

The $V_{lowk}$-renormalization group approach on the surface of Fermi liquid for nuclear matter to which Tom Kuo made a pioneering contribution at Stony Brook is found to inject the pivotal input in the formulation of the generalized nuclear effective field theory with acronym ``G$n$EFT" applicable to superdense compact-star physics. A topology change in terms of skyrmions and half-skyrmions is shown to play the role of the ``putative" hadron-quark continuity (HQC)" conjectured in QCD. Crucially involved are hidden local symmetry (``HLS") and hidden scale symmetry (``HSS") with the vacuum sliding with density in nuclear medium, with the nuclear tensor force emerging as a Landau Fermi-liquid fixed-point quantity. A possibly novel paradigm, a ``Cheshire Catism," in nuclear correlations is suggested.

The Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST) has the largest aperture and a 19-beam L-band receiver, making it powerful for investigating the neutral hydrogen atomic gas (HI) in the universe. We present HiFAST (https://hifast.readthedocs.io), a dedicated, modular, and self-contained calibration and imaging pipeline for processing the HI data of FAST. The pipeline consists of frequency-dependent noise diode calibration, baseline fitting, standing wave removal using an FFT-based method, flux density calibration, stray radiation correction, and gridding to produce data cubes. These modules can be combined as needed to process the data from most FAST observation modes: tracking, drift scanning, On-The-Fly map**, and most of their variants. With HiFAST, the RMS noises of the calibrated spectra from all 19 beams were only slightly (~ 5%) higher than the theoretical expectation. The results for the extended source M33 and the point sources are consistent with the results from Arecibo. The moment maps (0,1 and 2) of M33 agree well with the results from the Arecibo Galaxy Environment Survey (AGES) with a fractional difference of less than 10%. For a common sample of 221 sources with signal-to-noise ratio S/N >10 from the Arecibo Legacy Fast ALFA (ALFALFA) survey, the mean value of fractional difference in the integrated flux density, $S_{\mathrm{int}}$, between the two datasets is approximately 0.005 %, with a dispersion of 15.4%. Further checks on the integrated flux density of 23 sources with seven observations indicate that the variance in the flux density of the source with luminous objects ($S_\mathrm{int}$ $ > 2.5$ Jy km s$^{-1}$) is less than 5%. Our tests suggest that the FAST telescope, with the efficient, precise, and user-friendly pipeline HiFAST, will yield numerous significant scientific findings in the investigation of the HI in the universe.

We present measurements of the Born cross sections for the processes $e^+e^-\rightarrowωχ_{c1}$ and $ωχ_{c2}$ at center-of-mass energies $\sqrt{s}$ from 4.308 to 4.951 GeV. The measurements are performed with data samples corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 11.0 $\rm{fb}^{-1}$ collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. Assuming the $e^+e^-\rightarrowωχ_{c2}$ signals come from a single resonance, the mass and width are determined to be $M=(4413.6\pm9.0\pm0.8)$ MeV/$c^2$ and $Γ=(110.5\pm15.0\pm2.9)$ MeV, respectively, which is consistent with the parameters of the well-established resonance $ψ(4415)$. In addition, we also use one single resonance to describe the $e^+e^-\rightarrowωχ_{c1}$ lineshape, and determine the mass and width to be $M=(4544.2\pm18.7\pm1.7)$ MeV/$c^2$ and $Γ=(116.1\pm33.5\pm1.7)$ MeV, respectively. The structure of this lineshape, observed for the first time, requires further understanding.

With the data samples taken at center-of-mass energies from 2.00 to 3.08 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, a partial wave analysis on the $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-}π^{0}$ process is performed. The Born cross sections for $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-}π^{0}$ and its intermediate processes $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrowρπ$ and $ρ(1450)π$ are measured as functions of $\sqrt{s}$. The results for $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-}π^{0}$ are consistent with previous results measured with the initial state radiation method within one standard deviation, and improve the uncertainty by a factor of ten. By fitting the line shapes of the Born cross sections for the $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrowρπ$ and $ρ(1450)π$, a structure with mass $M = 2119\pm11\pm15\ {\rm MeV}/c^2$ and width $Γ=69\pm30\pm5 {\rm MeV}$ is observed with a significance of $5.9σ$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second ones are systematic. This structure can be intepreteted as an excited $ω$ state.

Time-domain (TD) Bayesian inference is important in ringdown analysis for gravitational wave (GW) astronomy. The validity of this method has been well studied by Isi and Farr [1]. Using GW190521 as an example, we study the TD method in detail by comparing it with the frequency-domain (FD) method as a complement to previous study. We argue that the autocovariance function (ACF) should be calculated from the inverse fast Fourier transform of the power spectral density (PSD), which is usually estimated by the Welch method. In addition, the total duration of the GW data that are used to estimate the PSD and the slice duration of the truncated ACF should be long enough. Only when these conditions are fully satisfied can the TD method be considered sufficiently equivalent to the FD method.

The $D^+\to f_0(500)μ^+ν_μ$ decay is observed for the first time. By analyzing simultaneously the differential decay rates of $D^+\to f_0(500) μ^+ν_μ$ and $D^+\to f_0(500) e^+ν_e$ in different $\ell^+ν_\ell$ four-momentum transfer intervals, the product of the relevant hadronic form factor $f^{f_0}_{+}(0)$ and the magnitude of the $c\to d$ Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cd}|$ is determined to be $f_{+}^{f_0} (0)|V_{cd}|=0.0787\pm0.0060_{\rm stat}\pm0.0033_{\rm syst}$ for the first time. With the input of $|V_{cd}|$ from the global fit in the standard model, we determine $f_{+}^{f_0} (0)=0.350\pm0.027_{\rm stat}\pm0.015_{\rm syst}$. The absolute branching fractions of $D^+\to f_0(500)_{(π^+π^-)}μ^+ν_μ$ and $D^+\to ρ^0_{(π^+π^-)} μ^+ν_μ$ are determined as $(0.72\pm0.13_{\rm stat}\pm0.10_{\rm syst})\times10^{-3}$ and $(1.64\pm0.13_{\rm stat}\pm0.11_{\rm syst})\times 10^{-3}$. Combining these results with those of previous BESIII measurements on their semielectronic counterparts from the same data sample, we test lepton flavor universality by measuring the branching fraction ratios ${\mathcal B}_{D^+\to ρ^0 μ^+ν_μ}/{\mathcal B}_{D^+\to ρ^0 e^+ν_e}=0.88\pm0.10$ and ${\mathcal B}_{D^+\to f_0(500) μ^+ν_μ}/{\mathcal B}_{D^+\to f_0(500) e^+ν_e}=1.14\pm0.28$, which are compatible with the standard model expectation.

Using 24.1 fb$^{-1}$ of $e^{+}e^{-}$ collision data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the Born cross sections and effective form factors of the $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrowΣ^{+}\barΣ^{-}$ reaction are measured. The measurements are performed at center-of-mass energies ranging from 3.510 to 4.951 GeV. No significant evidence for the decay of the charmonium(-like) states, $ψ(3770)$, $ψ(4040)$, $ψ(4160)$, $Y(4230)$, $Y(4360)$, $ψ(4415)$, and $Y(4660)$, into a $Σ^{+}\barΣ^{-}$ final state is observed. Consequently, upper limits for the products of the branching fractions and the electronic partial widths at the 90% confidence level are reported for these decays.

This result is lower than the naive prediction of 67\%, obtained from isospin symmetry, by more than $2σ$, thereby indicating that the novel mechanism referred to as the \textit{threshold effect}, proposed for the strong decays of $Λ_{c}(2595)^{+}$, also applies to $Λ_{c}(2625)^{+}$. This measurement is necessary to obtain the coupling constants for the transitions between $s$-wave and $p$-wave charmed baryons in heavy hadron chiral perturbation theory. In addition, we search for the decay $Λ_{c}(2595)^{+}\to Λ^{+}_{c}π^+π^-$. No significant signal is observed, and the upper limit on its branching fraction is determined to be 80.8\% at the 90\% confidence level.

The branching fractions of $η\rightarrowγe^+e^-$ and $η'\rightarrowγe^+e^-$ are measured to be $(7.07 \pm 0.05 \pm 0.23)\times10^{-3}$ and $(4.83\pm0.07\pm0.14)\times10^{-4}$, respectively. Within the single pole model, the parameter of electromagnetic transition form factor for $η\rightarrowγe^+e^-$ is determined to be $Λ_η=(0.749 \pm 0.027 \pm 0.007)~ {\rm GeV}/c^{2}$. Within the multi-pole model, we extract the electromagnetic transition form factors for $η'\rightarrowγe^+e^-$ to be $Λ_{η'} = (0.802 \pm 0.007\pm 0.008)~ {\rm GeV}/c^{2}$ and $γ_{η'} = (0.113\pm0.010\pm0.002)~ {\rm GeV}/c^{2}$. The results are consistent with both theoretical predictions and previous measurements. The characteristic sizes of the interaction regions for the $η$ and $η'$ are calculated to be $(0.645 \pm 0.023 \pm 0.007 )~ {\rm fm}$ and $(0.596 \pm 0.005 \pm 0.006)~ {\rm fm}$, respectively. In addition, we search for the dark photon in $η/η^\prime\rightarrowγe^{+}e^{-}$, and the upper limits of the branching fractions as a function of the dark photon are given at 90\% confidence level.

Clear signals are observed for the two reactions. The cross sections in $-0.9\leq\rm{cos}θ_{Λ/\barΛ}\leq0.9$ are measured to be $σ(Λp\rightarrowΛp)=(12.2\pm1.6_{\rm{stat}}\pm1.1_{\rm{sys}})$ mb and $σ(\barΛ p\rightarrow\barΛ p)=(17.5\pm2.1_{\rm{stat}}\pm1.6_{\rm{sys}})$ mb at the $Λ/\barΛ$ momentum of $1.074$ GeV/$c$ within a range of $\pm0.017$ GeV/$c$, where the $θ_{Λ/\barΛ}$ are the scattering angles of the $Λ/\barΛ$ in the $Λp/\barΛp$ rest frames. Furthermore, the differential cross sections of the two reactions are also measured, where there is a slight tendency of forward scattering for $Λp\rightarrowΛp$, and a strong forward peak for $\barΛp\rightarrow\barΛp$. We present an approach to extract the total elastic cross sections by extrapolation. The study of $\barΛp\rightarrow\barΛp$ represents the first study of antihyperon-nucleon scattering, and these new measurements will serve as important inputs for the theoretical understanding of the (anti)hyperon-nucleon interaction.

Camera-only Bird's Eye View (BEV) has demonstrated great potential in environment perception in a 3D space. However, most existing studies were conducted under a supervised setup which cannot scale well while handling various new data. Unsupervised domain adaptive BEV, which effective learning from various unlabelled target data, is far under-explored. In this work, we design DA-BEV, the first domain adaptive camera-only BEV framework that addresses domain adaptive BEV challenges by exploiting the complementary nature of image-view features and BEV features. DA-BEV introduces the idea of query into the domain adaptation framework to derive useful information from image-view and BEV features. It consists of two query-based designs, namely, query-based adversarial learning (QAL) and query-based self-training (QST), which exploits image-view features or BEV features to regularize the adaptation of the other. Extensive experiments show that DA-BEV achieves superior domain adaptive BEV perception performance consistently across multiple datasets and tasks such as 3D object detection and 3D scene segmentation.
