Based on data samples collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the process $e^{+}e^{-} \to Σ^{+}\barΣ^{-}$ is studied at center-of-mass energies $\sqrt{s}$ = 2.3960, 2.6454, and 2.9000 GeV. Using a fully differential angular description of the final state particles, both the relative magnitude and phase information of the $Σ^{+}$ electromagnetic form factors in the timelike region are extracted. The relative phase between the electric and magnetic form factors is determined to be $\sinΔΦ$ = -0.67~$\pm$~0.29~(stat)~$\pm$~0.18~(syst) at $\sqrt{s}$ = 2.3960 GeV, $ΔΦ$ = 55$^{\circ}$~$\pm$~19$^{\circ}$~(stat) $\pm$~14$^{\circ}$~(syst) at $\sqrt{s}$ = 2.6454 GeV, and 78$^{\circ}$~$\pm$~22$^{\circ}$~(stat) $\pm$~9$^{\circ}$~(syst) at $\sqrt{s}$ = 2.9000 GeV. For the first time, the phase of the hyperon electromagnetic form factors is explored in a wide range of four-momentum transfer. The evolution of the phase along with four-momentum transfer is an important input for understanding its asymptotic behavior and the dynamics of baryons.

The branching fraction of this decay is measured to be ${\mathcal B}(J/ψ\to e^+ e^- π^0 η(1405) \to e^+ e^- π^0 f_0(980) \to e^+ e^- π^0 π^+ π^-)=(2.02\pm0.24(\rm{stat.})\pm0.09(\rm{syst.}))\times 10^{-7}$. The branching-fraction ratio ${\mathcal B}(J/ψ\to e^+ e^- η(1405))$/${\mathcal B}(J/ψ\to γη(1405))$ is determined to be $(1.35\pm0.19(\rm{stat.})\pm0.06(\rm{syst.}))\times10^{-2}$. Furthermore, an $e^+e^-$ invariant-mass dependent transition form factor of $J/ψ\to e^+ e^-η(1405)$ is presented for the first time. The obtained result provides input for different theoretical models, and is valuable for the improved understanding the intrinsic structure of the $η(1405)$ meson.

Based on this, the product of the $D_s^+$ decay constant $f_{D_s^+}$ and the magnitude of the $c\to s$ quark mixing matrix element $|V_{cs}|$ is determined to be $f_{D_s^+}|V_{cs}|=241.8\pm2.5_{\rm stat}\pm2.2_{\rm syst}~\mathrm{MeV}$. Using the value of $|V_{cs}|$ given by the global standard model fit, $f_{D_s^+}$ is found to be $248.4\pm2.5_{\rm stat}\pm2.2_{\rm syst}$\,MeV. The branching fractions of $D_s^+ \to ημ^+ν_μ$ and $D_s^+ \to η^\primeμ^+ν_μ$ are determined to be $(2.235\pm0.051_{\rm stat}\pm0.052_{\rm syst})\%$ and $(0.801\pm0.055_{\rm stat}\pm0.028_{\rm syst})\%$, respectively, with precision improved by factors of 6.0 and 6.6 compared to the previous best measurements. Combined with the results for the decays $D_s^+ \to ηe^+ν_e$ and $D_s^+ \to η^\prime e^+ν_e$, the ratios of the decay widths are examined both inclusively and in several $\ell^+ν_\ell$ four-momentum transfer ranges. No evidence for lepton flavor universality violation is found within the current statistics. The products of the hadronic form factors $f_{+,0}^{η^{(\prime)}}(0)$ and the $c\to s$ Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cs}|$ are determined. The results based on the two-parameter series expansion are $f^η_{+,0}(0)|V_{cs}| = 0.452\pm0.010_{\rm stat}\pm0.007_{\rm syst}$ and $f^{η^{\prime}}_{+,0}(0)|V_{cs}| = 0.504\pm0.037_{\rm stat}\pm0.012_{\rm syst}$, which help to constrain present models on $f_{+,0}^{η^{(\prime)}}(0)$. The forward-backward asymmetries are determined to be $\langle A_{\rm FB}^η\rangle=-0.059\pm0.031_{\rm stat}\pm0.005_{\rm syst}$ and $\langle A_{\rm FB}^{η^\prime}\rangle=-0.064\pm0.079_{\rm stat}\pm0.006_{\rm syst}$ for the first time, which are consistent with the theoretical calculation.

The cross sections are of the order of a few picobarn, and decrease as the center-of-mass energy increases as $s^{-n/2}$ with $n=4.35\pm 0.14$. This result is in agreement with the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model prediction of $n=3.5\pm 0.9$. In addition, the charmless decay $ψ(3770)\toφη'$ is searched for by fitting the measured cross sections, yet no significant signal is observed. The upper limit of ${\cal B}(ψ(3770)\toφη')$ at the 90\% confidence level is determined to be $2.3\times 10^{-5}$.

The recent large language models (LLMs), e.g., ChatGPT, have been able to generate human-like and fluent responses when provided with specific instructions. While admitting the convenience brought by technological advancement, educators also have concerns that students might leverage LLMs to complete their writing assignments and pass them off as their original work. Although many AI content detection studies have been conducted as a result of such concerns, most of these prior studies modeled AI content detection as a classification problem, assuming that a text is either entirely human-written or entirely AI-generated. In this study, we investigated AI content detection in a rarely explored yet realistic setting where the text to be detected is collaboratively written by human and generative LLMs (i.e., hybrid text). We first formalized the detection task as identifying the transition points between human-written content and AI-generated content from a given hybrid text (boundary detection). Then we proposed a two-step approach where we (1) separated AI-generated content from human-written content during the encoder training process; and (2) calculated the distances between every two adjacent prototypes and assumed that the boundaries exist between the two adjacent prototypes that have the furthest distance from each other. Through extensive experiments, we observed the following main findings: (1) the proposed approach consistently outperformed the baseline methods across different experiment settings; (2) the encoder training process can significantly boost the performance of the proposed approach; (3) when detecting boundaries for single-boundary hybrid essays, the proposed approach could be enhanced by adopting a relatively large prototype size, leading to a 22% improvement in the In-Domain evaluation and an 18% improvement in the Out-of-Domain evaluation.

We observe three resonances: $\mathcal R(3760)$, $\mathcal R(3780)$, and $\mathcal R(3810)$ with significances of $8.1σ$, $13.7σ$, and $8.8σ$, respectively. The $\mathcal R(3810)$ state is observed for the first time, while the $\mathcal R(3760)$ and $\mathcal R(3780)$ states are observed for the first time in the nOCH cross sections. Two sets of resonance parameters describe the energy-dependent line shape of the cross sections well. In set I [set II], the $\mathcal R(3810)$ state has mass $(3805.7 \pm 1.1 \pm 2.7)$ [$(3805.7 \pm 1.1 \pm 2.7)$] MeV/$c^2$, total width $(11.6 \pm 2.9 \pm 1.9)$ [$(11.5 \pm 2.8 \pm 1.9)$] MeV, and an electronic width multiplied by the nOCH decay branching fraction of $(10.9\pm 3.8\pm 2.5)$ [$(11.0\pm 3.4\pm 2.5)$] eV. In addition, we measure the branching fractions ${\mathcal B}[{\mathcal R}(3760)$$\rightarrow$nOCH$]=(25.2 \pm 16.1 \pm 30.4)\% [(6.4 \pm 4.8 \pm 7.7)\%]$ and ${\mathcal B}[\mathcal R(3780)$$\rightarrow$nOCH$]=(12.3 \pm 6.6 \pm 8.3)\% [(10.4 \pm 4.8 \pm 7.0)\%]$ for the first time. The $\mathcal R(3760)$ state can be interpreted as an open-charm (OC) molecular state, but containing a simple four-quark state component. The $\mathcal R(3810)$ state can be interpreted as a hadrocharmonium state.

We study the process $e^{+}e^{-}\toΛ_{c}^{+}\barΛ_c^{-}$ at twelve center-of-mass energies from $4.6119$ to $4.9509~\mathrm{GeV}$ using data samples collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The Born cross sections and effective form factors ($|G_{\mathrm{eff}}|$) are determined with unprecedented precision after combining the single and double-tag methods based on the decay process $Λ_{c}^{+}\to pK^{-}π^{+}$. Flat cross sections around $4.63~\mathrm{GeV}$ are obtained and no indication of the resonant structure $Y(4630)$, as reported by Belle, is found. In addition, no oscillatory behavior is discerned in the $|G_{\mathrm{eff}}|$ energy-dependence of $Λ_{c}^{+}$, in contrast to what is seen for the proton and neutron cases. Analyzing the cross section together with the polar-angle distribution of the $Λ_{c}^{+}$ baryon at each energy point, the moduli of electric and magnetic form factors ($|G_{E}|$ and $|G_{M}|$) are extracted and separated. For the first time, the energy-dependence of the form factor ratio $|G_{E}/G_{M}|$ is observed, which can be well described by an oscillatory function.

The Hot Universe Baryon Surveyor (HUBS) is a proposed space-based X-ray telescope for detecting X-ray emissions from the hot gas content in our universe. With its unprecedented spatially-resolved high-resolution spectroscopy and large field of view, the HUBS mission will be uniquely qualified to measure the physical and chemical properties of the hot gas in the interstellar medium, the circumgalactic medium, the intergalactic medium, and the intracluster medium. These measurements will be valuable for two key scientific goals of HUBS, namely to unravel the AGN and stellar feedback physics that governs the formation and evolution of galaxies, and to probe the baryon budget and multi-phase states from galactic to cosmological scales. In addition to these two goals, the HUBS mission will also help us solve some problems in the fields of galaxy clusters, AGNs, diffuse X-ray backgrounds, supernova remnants, and compact objects. This paper discusses the perspective of advancing these fields using the HUBS telescope.

We report the results of an observational campaign using the Effelsberg 100-m telescope of the pulsars J1746$-$2849, J1746$-$2850, J1746$-$2856 and J1745$-$2912 located in the Central Molecular Zone (CMZ) close to the Galactic centre in order to study rotation measure (RM) variations. We report for the first time the RM value of PSR J1746$-$2850 to be $-12234 \pm 181$ rad m$^{-2}$. This pulsar shows significant variations of RM of $300-400$ rad m$^{-2}$ over the course of months to years that suggest a strongly magnetized environment. The structure function analysis of the RM of PSR J1746$-$2850 revealed a steep power-law index of $1.87_{-0.3}^{+0.4}$ comparable to the value expected for isotropic turbulence. This pulsar also showed large dispersion measure (DM) variation of $\sim 50$ pc cm$^{-3}$ in an event lasting a few months where the RM increased by $\sim 200$ rad m$^{-2}$. The large difference in RM between PSR J1746$-$2849 and PSR J1746$-$2850 despite the small angular separation reveals the presence of a magnetic field of at least 70 $μ$G in the CMZ and can explain the lack of polarization in the radio images of the region. These results contribute to our understanding of the magnetic field in the CMZ and show similarities between the RM behaviours of these pulsars and some fast radio bursts (FRBs).

The absolute branching fraction is measured as ${\mathcal B}(D^+_s\to φμ^+ν_μ) = (2.25\pm 0.09 \pm 0.07) \times10^{-2}$, the most precise measurement to date. Combining with the world average of ${\mathcal B}(D^+_s\to φe^+ν_e)$, the ratio of the branching fractions obtained is$\frac{{\mathcal B}(D^+_s\to φμ^+ν_μ)}{{\mathcal B}(D^+_s\to φe^+ν_e)} = 0.94\pm0.08$, in agreement with lepton universality. By performing a partial wave analysis, the hadronic form factor ratios at $q^{2}=0$ are extracted, finding $r_{V}=\frac{V(0)}{A_{1}(0)}=1.58\pm0.17\pm0.02$ and $r_{2}=\frac{A_{2}(0)}{A_{1}(0)}=0.71\pm0.14\pm0.02$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. No significant $S$-wave contribution from $f_0(980)\to K^+K^-$ is found. The upper limit $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to f_0(980)μ^{+}ν_μ) \cdot{\mathcal B}(f_0(980)\to K^+K^-) < 5.45 \times 10^{-4}$ is set at 90\% confidence level.

Effective one body numerical relativity waveform models for spin aligned binary black holes (SEOBNR) are based on the effective one body theoretical framework and numerical relativity simulation results. SEOBNR models have evolved through version 1 to version 4. We recently extended SEOBNRv1 model to SEOBNRE (Effective One Body Numerical Relativity waveform models for Spin aligned binary black holes along Eccentric orbit) model which is also valid for spin aligned binary black hole coalescence along eccentric orbit. In this paper we update our previous SEOBNRE model to make it consistent to SEOBNRv4 which is the most widely used SEOBNR waveform model. This upgraded SEOBNRE model improves accuracy compared to previous SEOBNRE model, especially for highly spinning black holes. For spin aligned binary black holes with mass ratio $1\leq q\lesssim10$, dimensionless spin $-0.9\lesssimχ\lesssim0.995$ and orbital eccentricity $0\leq e_0\lesssim0.6$ at reference frequency $Mf_0=0.002$ ($M$ is the total mass of the binary black hole, $f_0\approx 40\frac{10{\rm M}_\odot}{M}$Hz), the upgraded SEOBNRE model can always fit numerical relativity waveform better than 98.2\%. For most cases the fitting factor can even be better than 99\%.

We study the radial and non-radial oscillations of Cross stars (CrSs), i.e., stars with a quark matter crust and a hadronic matter core in an inverted order compared to conventional hybrid stars. We draw comparisons of their oscillation modes with those of neutron stars, quark stars, and conventional hybrid stars. We find that the stellar stability analysis from the fundamental mode of radial oscillations, and the $g$, $f$ modes of non-radial oscillations are quite similar to those of conventional hybrid stars. However, due to the inverted stellar structure, the first non-radial $p$ mode of CrSs behaves in an inverted way and sits in a higher frequency domain compared to that of conventional hybrid stars. These results provide a direct way to discriminate CrSs from other types of compact stars via gravitational-wave probes. Specifically, compact stars emitting $g$-mode gravitational waves within the $0.5$-$1$ kHz range should be CrSs or conventional hybrid stars rather than neutron stars or pure quark stars, and a further GW detection of the first $p$ mode above 8 kHz or an identification of a decreasing trend of frequencies versus star masses associated with it will help identify the compact object to be a CrS rather than a conventional hybrid star.

This article proposes and evaluates a new safety concept called backup plan safety for path planning of autonomous vehicles under mission uncertainty using model predictive control (MPC). Backup plan safety is defined as the ability to complete an alternative mission when the primary mission is aborted. To include this new safety concept in control problems, we formulate a feasibility maximization problem aiming to maximize the feasibility of the primary and alternative missions. The feasibility maximization problem is based on multi-objective MPC, where each objective (cost function) is associated with a different mission and balanced by a weight vector. Furthermore, the feasibility maximization problem incorporates additional control input horizons toward the alternative missions on top of the control input horizon toward the primary mission, denoted as multi-horizon inputs, to evaluate the cost for each mission. We develop the backup plan constrained MPC algorithm, which designs the weight vector that ensures asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system, and generates the optimal control input by solving the feasibility maximization problem with computational efficiency. The performance of the proposed algorithm is validated through simulations of a UAV path planning problem.

The branching fractions obtained are $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+ \to ηe^{+} ν_e)$ = $(2.255\pm0.039_{\rm stat}\pm 0.051_{\rm syst})\%$ and $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+ \to η^{\prime} e^{+} ν_e)$ = $(0.810\pm0.038_{\rm stat}\pm 0.024_{\rm syst})\%$. Combining these results with the $\mathcal{B}(D^+\toηe^+ ν_e)$ and $\mathcal{B}(D^+\toη^\prime e^+ ν_e)$ obtained from previous BESIII measurements, the $η-η^\prime$ mixing angle in the quark flavor basis is determined to be $φ_{\rm P} = (40.0\pm2.0_{\rm stat}\pm0.6_{\rm syst})^\circ$. Moreover, from the fits to the partial decay rates of $D_s^+ \to ηe^+ ν_e$ and $D_s^+ \to η^\prime e^+ ν_e$, the products of the hadronic transition form factors $f_+^{η^{(\prime)}}(0)$ and the modulus of the $c\to s$ Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cs}|$ are determined by using different hadronic transition form factor parametrizations. Based on the two-parameter series expansion, the products $f^η_+(0)|V_{cs}| = 0.4519\pm0.0071_{\rm stat}\pm0.0065_{\rm syst}$ and $f^{η^\prime}_+(0)|V_{cs}| = 0.525\pm0.024_{\rm stat}\pm0.009_{\rm syst}$ are extracted. All results determined in this work supersede those measured in the previous BESIII analyses based on the 3.19 fb$^{-1}$ subsample of data at 4.178 GeV.

Their peak-intensity ratios to main pulses are: $\sim$ 0.06% for J0304+1932, $\sim$ 0.17% and $\sim$ 0.83% for J1518+4904. We also analyzed flux fluctuation and profile variation of the emissions for two pulsars. The results show correlations between the weak pulses and their main pulses, indicating that these emissions come from the same pole. We estimated the emission altitude of these weak pulses and derived a height of about half of the pulsar's light-cylinder radius. These pulse components are a unique sample of high-altitude emissions from pulsars, and challenge the current pulsar emission models.

Tests of lepton flavor universality using $Λ_c^+\rightarrow Λ\ell^+ν_{\ell}$ ($\ell=e, μ$) decays are reported for the first time, based on measurements of the differential decay rates and the forward-backward asymmetries in separate four-momentum transfer regions. The results are compatible with Standard Model predictions. Furthermore, we improve the determination of the form-factor parameters in $Λ_c^+\rightarrow Λ\ell^+ν_{\ell}$ decays, which provide stringent tests and calibration for lattice quantum chromodynamics (LQCD) calculations.

As a potential revolutionary topic in future information processing, mechanical computing has gained tremendous attention for replacing or supplementing conventional electronics vulnerable to power outages, security attacks, and harsh environments. Despite its potential for constructing intelligent matter towards nonclassical computing systems beyond the von Neumann architecture, most works on mechanical computing demonstrated that the ad hoc design of simple logic gates cannot fully realize a universal mechanical processing framework involving interconnected arithmetic logic components and memory. However, such a logic-with-memory computing architecture is critical for complex and persistent state-dependent computations such as sequential logic. Here we propose a mechanical transistor (M-Transistor), abstracting omnipresent temperatures as the input-output mechanical bits, which consists of a metamaterial thermal channel as the gate terminal driving a nonlinear bistable soft actuator to selectively connect the output terminal to two other variable thermal sources. This M-Transistor is an elementary unit to modularly form various combinational and sequential circuits, such as complex logic gates, registers (volatile memory), and long-term memories (non-volatile memory) with much fewer units than the electronic counterparts. Moreover, they can establish a universal processing core comprising an arithmetic circuit and a register in a compact, reprogrammable network involving periodic read, write, memory, and logic operations of the mechanical bits. Our work contributes to realizing a non-electric universal mechanical computing architecture that combines multidisciplinary engineering with structural mechanics, materials science, thermal engineering, physical intelligence, and computational science.

Recently, the text-to-table generation task has attracted increasing attention due to its wide applications. In this aspect, the dominant model formalizes this task as a sequence-to-sequence generation task and serializes each table into a token sequence during training by concatenating all rows in a top-down order. However, it suffers from two serious defects: 1) the predefined order introduces a wrong bias during training, which highly penalizes shifts in the order between rows; 2) the error propagation problem becomes serious when the model outputs a long token sequence. In this paper, we first conduct a preliminary study to demonstrate the generation of most rows is order-insensitive. Furthermore, we propose a novel sequence-to-sequence&set text-to-table generation model. Specifically, in addition to a text encoder encoding the input text, our model is equipped with a table header generator to first output a table header, i.e., the first row of the table, in the manner of sequence generation. Then we use a table body generator with learnable row embeddings and column embeddings to generate a set of table body rows in parallel. Particularly, to deal with the issue that there is no correspondence between each generated table body row and target during training, we propose a target assignment strategy based on the bipartite matching between the first cells of generated table body rows and targets. Experiment results show that our model significantly surpasses the baselines, achieving state-of-the-art performance on commonly-used datasets.

However, collecting large-scale precisely-annotated training data is extremely laborious and expensive, which hinders the scalability of existing point cloud datasets and poses a bottleneck for efficient exploration of point cloud data in various tasks and applications. Label-efficient learning offers a promising solution by enabling effective deep network training with much-reduced annotation efforts. This paper presents the first comprehensive survey of label-efficient learning of point clouds. We address three critical questions in this emerging research field: i) the importance and urgency of label-efficient learning in point cloud processing, ii) the subfields it encompasses, and iii) the progress achieved in this area. To achieve this, we propose a taxonomy that organizes label-efficient learning methods based on the data prerequisites provided by different types of labels. We categorize four typical label-efficient learning approaches that significantly reduce point cloud annotation efforts: data augmentation, domain transfer learning, weakly-supervised learning, and pretrained foundation models. For each approach, we outline the problem setup and provide an extensive literature review that showcases relevant progress and challenges. Finally, we share insights into current research challenges and potential future directions. A project associated with this survey has been built at https://github.com/xiaoaoran/3D_label_efficient_learning.

The catalog was compiled using 508 days of data collected by the Water Cherenkov Detector Array (WCDA) from March 2021 to September 2022 and 933 days of data recorded by the Kilometer Squared Array (KM2A) from January 2020 to September 2022. This catalog represents the main result from the most sensitive large coverage gamma-ray survey of the sky above 1 TeV, covering declination from $-$20$^{\circ}$ to 80$^{\circ}$. In total, the catalog contains 90 sources with an extended size smaller than $2^\circ$ and a significance of detection at $> 5σ$. Based on our source association criteria, 32 new TeV sources are proposed in this study. Among the 90 sources, 43 sources are detected with ultra-high energy ($E > 100$ TeV) emission at $> 4σ$ significance level. We provide the position, extension, and spectral characteristics of all the sources in this catalog.

This paper proposes the Phy-DRL: a physics-regulated deep reinforcement learning (DRL) framework for safety-critical autonomous systems. The Phy-DRL has three distinguished invariant-embedding designs: i) residual action policy (i.e., integrating data-driven-DRL action policy and physics-model-based action policy), ii) automatically constructed safety-embedded reward, and iii) physics-model-guided neural network (NN) editing, including link editing and activation editing. Theoretically, the Phy-DRL exhibits 1) a mathematically provable safety guarantee and 2) strict compliance of critic and actor networks with physics knowledge about the action-value function and action policy. Finally, we evaluate the Phy-DRL on a cart-pole system and a quadruped robot. The experiments validate our theoretical results and demonstrate that Phy-DRL features guaranteed safety compared to purely data-driven DRL and solely model-based design while offering remarkably fewer learning parameters and fast training towards safety guarantee.

This paper examines robust functional data analysis for discretely observed data, where the underlying process encompasses various distributions, such as heavy tail, skewness, or contaminations. We propose a unified robust concept of functional mean, covariance, and principal component analysis, while existing methods and definitions often differ from one another or only address fully observed functions (the ``ideal'' case). Specifically, the robust functional mean can deviate from its non-robust counterpart and is estimated using robust local linear regression. Moreover, we define a new robust functional covariance that shares useful properties with the classic version. Importantly, this covariance yields the robust version of Karhunen--Loève decomposition and corresponding principal components beneficial for dimension reduction. The theoretical results of the robust functional mean, covariance, and eigenfunction estimates, based on pooling discretely observed data (ranging from sparse to dense), are established and aligned with their non-robust counterparts. The newly-proposed perturbation bounds for estimated eigenfunctions, with indexes allowed to grow with sample size, lay the foundation for further modeling based on robust functional principal component analysis.

We collected precise radial velocity (RV) measurements of TOI-1130 with the HARPS and PFS spectrographs as part of our ongoing RV follow-up program. We perform a photodynamical modeling of the HARPS and PFS RVs, and transit photometry from the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) and the TESS Follow-up Observing Program. We determine the planet masses and radii of TOI-1130 b and TOI-1130 c to be Mb = 19.28 $\pm$ 0.97 M$_\oplus$ and Rb = 3.56 $\pm$ 0.13 R$_\oplus$, and Mc = 325.59 $\pm$ 5.59 M$_\oplus$ and Rc = 13.32+1.55-1.41 R$_\oplus$, respectively. We spectroscopically confirm TOI-1130 b that was previously only validated. We find that the two planets orbit with small eccentricities in a 2:1 resonant configuration. This is the first known system with a hot Jupiter and an inner lower mass planet locked in a mean-motion resonance. TOI-1130 belongs to the small yet increasing population of hot Jupiters with an inner low-mass planet that challenges the pathway for hot Jupiter formation. We also detect a linear RV trend possibly due to the presence of an outer massive companion.

The equilibrium configuration of a solid strange star in the final inspiral phase with another compact object is generally discussed, and the starquake-related issue is revisited, for a special purpose to understand the precursor emission of binary compact star merger events (e.g., that of GRB211211A). As the binary system inspirals inward due to gravitational wave radiation, the ellipticity of the solid strangeon star increases due to the growing tidal field of its compact companion. Elastic energy is hence accumulated during the inspiral stage which might trigger a starquake before the merger when exceeds a critical value. The energy released during such starquakes is calculated and compared to the precursor observation of GRB211211A. The result shows that the energy might be insufficient for binary strangeon-star case unless the entire solid strangeon star shatters, and hence favors a black hole-strangeon star scenario for GRB211211A. The timescale of the precursor as well as the frequency of the observed quasi-periodic-oscillation have also been discussed in the starquake model.

The mass-radius measurements of these white dwarfs pose challenges to traditional white dwarf models assuming they are mostly made of nuclei lighter than $^{56}$Fe. In this work we consider the possibility that those white dwarfs are made of heavier elements. Due to the small charge-to-mass ratios in heavy elements, the electron number density in white dwarf matter is effectively reduced, which reduces the pressure with additional contributions of lattice energy and electron polarization corrections. This consequently leads to white dwarfs with much smaller masses and radii, which coincide with the seven ultra low-mass and small-radius white dwarfs. The corresponding equation of state and matter contents of dense stellar matter with and without reaching the cold-catalyzed ground state are presented, which are obtained using the latest Atomic Mass Evaluation (AME 2020). Further observations are necessary to unveil the actual matter contents in those white dwarfs via, e.g., spectroscopy, asteroseismology, and discoveries of other ultra low-mass and small-radius white dwarfs.

The diffuse Galactic $γ$-ray emission, mainly produced via interactions between cosmic rays and the interstellar medium and/or radiation field, is a very important probe of the distribution, propagation, and interaction of cosmic rays in the Milky Way. In this work we report the measurements of diffuse $γ$-rays from the Galactic plane between 10 TeV and 1 PeV energies, with the square kilometer array of the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO). Diffuse emissions from the inner ($15^{\circ}<l<125^{\circ}$, $|b|<5^{\circ}$) and outer ($125^{\circ}<l<235^{\circ}$, $|b|<5^{\circ}$) Galactic plane are detected with $29.1σ$ and $12.7σ$ significance, respectively. The outer Galactic plane diffuse emission is detected for the first time in the very- to ultra-high-energy domain ($E>10$~TeV). The energy spectrum in the inner Galaxy regions can be described by a power-law function with an index of $-2.99\pm0.04$, which is different from the curved spectrum as expected from hadronic interactions between locally measured cosmic rays and the line-of-sight integrated gas content. Furthermore, the measured flux is higher by a factor of $\sim3$ than the prediction. A similar spectrum with an index of $-2.99\pm0.07$ is found in the outer Galaxy region, and the absolute flux for $10\lesssim E\lesssim60$ TeV is again higher than the prediction for hadronic cosmic ray interactions. The latitude distributions of the diffuse emission are consistent with the gas distribution, while the longitude distributions show clear deviation from the gas distribution. The LHAASO measurements imply that either additional emission sources exist or cosmic ray intensities have spatial variations.

Keyphrase prediction aims to generate phrases (keyphrases) that highly summarizes a given document. Recently, researchers have conducted in-depth studies on this task from various perspectives. In this paper, we comprehensively summarize representative studies from the perspectives of dominant models, datasets and evaluation metrics. Our work analyzes up to 167 previous works, achieving greater coverage of this task than previous surveys. Particularly, we focus highly on deep learning-based keyphrase prediction, which attracts increasing attention of this task in recent years. Afterwards, we conduct several groups of experiments to carefully compare representative models. To the best of our knowledge, our work is the first attempt to compare these models using the identical commonly-used datasets and evaluation metric, facilitating in-depth analyses of their disadvantages and advantages. Finally, we discuss the possible research directions of this task in the future.

The simultaneously determined decay parameters allow the first precision $C\!P$ symmetry test for any hyperon decay with a neutron in the final state with the measurement of $A_{C\!P}=(α_{+}+\barα_{-})/(α_{+}-\barα_{-})=-0.080\pm0.052_{\rm

Combining new HI data from a synergetic survey of ASKAP WALLABY and FAST with the ALFALFA data, we study the effect of ram pressure and tidal interactions in the NGC 4636 group. We develop two parameters to quantify and disentangle these two effects on gas strip** in HI-bearing galaxies: the strength of external forces at the optical-disk edge, and the outside-in extents of HI-disk strip**. We find that gas strip** is widespread in this group, affecting 80% of HI-detected non-merging galaxies, and that 41% are experiencing both types of strip**. Among the galaxies experiencing both effects, the two types of strengths are independent, while two HI-strip** extents moderately anticorrelate with each other. Both strengths are correlated with HI-disk shrinkage. The tidal strength is related to a rather uniform reddening of low-mass galaxies ($M_*<10^9\,\text{M}_\odot$) when tidal strip** is the dominating effect. In contrast, ram pressure is not clearly linked to the color-changing patterns of galaxies in the group. Combining these two strip** extents, we estimate the total strip** extent, and put forward an empirical model that can describe the decrease of HI richness as galaxies fall toward the group center. The strip** timescale we derived decreases with distance to the center, from $\mathord{\sim}1\,\text{Gyr}$ beyond $R_{200}$ to $\mathord{\lesssim}10\,\text{Myr}$ near the center. Gas-depletion happens $\mathord{\sim}3\,\text{Gyr}$ since crossing $2R_{200}$ for HI-rich galaxies, but much quicker for HI-poor ones. Our results quantify in a physically motivated way the details and processes of environmental-effects-driven galaxy evolution, and might assist in analyzing hydrodynamic simulations in an observational way.

In all the above results, the first uncertainties are statistical, the second are systematic and the third are from external input of the branching fraction of $Λ_{c}^{+}\rightarrow Σ^+ π^+ π^-$. Since no signal for $Λ_{c}^{+}\rightarrowΣ^{+} K^{+} π^{-}π^{0}$ is observed, the upper limit of its branching fraction is determined to be 0.11\% at the 90$\%$ confidence level.

Gravitational lensing by massive objects along the line of sight to the source causes distortions of gravitational wave-signals; such distortions may reveal information about fundamental physics, cosmology and astrophysics. In this work, we have extended the search for lensing signatures to all binary black hole events from the third observing run of the LIGO--Virgo network. We search for repeated signals from strong lensing by 1) performing targeted searches for subthreshold signals, 2) calculating the degree of overlap amongst the intrinsic parameters and sky location of pairs of signals, 3) comparing the similarities of the spectrograms amongst pairs of signals, and 4) performing dual-signal Bayesian analysis that takes into account selection effects and astrophysical knowledge. We also search for distortions to the gravitational waveform caused by 1) frequency-independent phase shifts in strongly lensed images, and 2) frequency-dependent modulation of the amplitude and phase due to point masses. None of these searches yields significant evidence for lensing. Finally, we use the non-detection of gravitational-wave lensing to constrain the lensing rate based on the latest merger-rate estimates and the fraction of dark matter composed of compact objects.

As a vector-tensor theory including nonminimal coupling between the Ricci tensor and a vector field, the bumblebee gravity is a potential theory to test Lorentz symmetry violation. Recently, a new class of numerical spherical black holes in the bumblebee theory was constructed. In this paper, we investigate the associated local thermodynamic properties. By introducing a pair of conjugated thermodynamic quantities $X$ and $Y$, which can be interpreted as an extension of electric potential and charge of the Reissner Nordström black holes, we numerically construct a new first law of thermodynamics for bumblebee black holes. We then study the constant-$Y$ processes in the entropy-charge parameter space. For the constant-$Y$ processes, we also calculate the heat capacity to study the local thermodynamic stability of the bumblebee black holes. For a negative nonminimal coupling coefficient $ξ$, we find both divergent and smooth phase transitions. For a positive but small $ξ$, only a divergent phase transition is found. It turns out that there is a critical value $0.4κ<ξ_c < 0.5κ$ such that when $ξ_c < ξ<2κ$, even the divergent phase transition disappears and the bumblebee black holes thus become locally thermodynamically unstable regardless of the bumblebee charge. As for $ξ>2κ$, the smooth phase transition arises again but there no longer exists any discontinuous phase transition for the bumblebee black holes.

In future gravitational-wave (GW) detections, a large number of overlap** GW signals will appear in the data stream of detectors. When extracting information from one signal, the presence of other signals can cause large parameter estimation biases. Using the Fisher matrix (FM), we develop a bias analysis procedure to investigate how each parameter of other signals affects the inference biases. Taking two-signal overlap** as an example, we show detailedly and quantitatively that the biases essentially originate from the overlap** of the frequency evolution. Furthermore, we find that the behaviors of the correlation coefficients between the parameters of the two signals are similar to the biases. Both of them can be used as characterization of the influence between signals. We also corroborate the bias results of the FM method with full Bayesian analysis. Our results can provide guidance for the development of new PE algorithms on overlap** signals, and the analysis methodology has the potential to generalize.
