In this paper, we propose a novel approach for implicit data representation to evaluate similarity of input data using a trained neural network. In contrast to the previous approach, which uses gradients for representation, we utilize only the outputs from the last hidden layer of a neural network and do not use a backward step. The proposed technique explicitly takes into account the initial task and significantly reduces the size of the vector representation, as well as the computation time. The key point is minimization of information loss between layers. Generally, a neural network discards information that is not related to the problem, which makes the last hidden layer representation useless for input similarity task. In this work, we consider two main causes of information loss: correlation between neurons and insufficient size of the last hidden layer. To reduce the correlation between neurons we use orthogonal weight initialization for each layer and modify the loss function to ensure orthogonality of the weights during training. Moreover, we show that activation functions can potentially increase correlation. To solve this problem, we apply modified Batch-Normalization with Dropout. Using orthogonal weight matrices allow us to consider such neural networks as an application of the Random Projection method and get a lower bound estimate for the size of the last hidden layer. We perform experiments on MNIST and physical examination datasets. In both experiments, initially, we split a set of labels into two disjoint subsets to train a neural network for binary classification problem, and then use this model to measure similarity between input data and define hidden classes. Our experimental results show that the proposed approach achieves competitive results on the input similarity task while reducing both computation time and the size of the input representation.

Abstract:
Motivated by the previously reported high orbital decay rate of the planet WASP-43b, eight newly transit light curves are obtained and presented. Together with other data in literature, we perform a self-consistent timing analysis with data covering a timescale of 1849 epochs. The results give an orbital decay rate dP/dt = -0.02890795\pm 0.00772547 sec/year, which is one order smaller than previou…

Together with other data in literature, we perform a self-consistent timing analysis with data covering a timescale of 1849 epochs. The results give an orbital decay rate dP/dt = -0.02890795\pm 0.00772547 sec/year, which is one order smaller than previous values. This slow decay rate corresponds to a normally assumed theoretical value of stellar tidal dissipation factor. In addition, through the frequency analysis, the transit timing variations presented here are unlikely to be periodic, but could be signals of a slow orbital decay.

We measure the photometric rotation periods of the components of multiple systems in young stellar associations to investigate the causes of the observed rotation period dispersion. We present the case of the wide binary AG Tri in the 23-Myr young beta Pictoris Association consisting of K4 + M1 dwarfs. Our multi-band, multi-season photometric monitoring allowed us to measure the rotation periods of both components P_A = 12.4d and P_B = 4.66d, to detect a prominent magnetic activity in the photosphere, likely responsible for the measured radial velocity variations, and for the first time, a flare event on the M1 component AG Tri B. We investigate either the possibility that the faster rotating component may have suffered an enhanced primordial disc dispersal, starting its PMS spin-up earlier than the slower rotating component, or the possibility that the formation of a debris disc may have prevented AG Tri A from gaining part of the angular momentum from the accreting disc.

Abstract:
The phase topology of the integrable Hamiltonian system on $e(3)$ found by V.V.Sokolov (2001) and generalizing the Kowalevski case is investigated. The phase topology of the integrable Hamiltonian system on $e(3)$ found by V.V.Sokolov (2001) and generalizing the Kowalevski case is investigated. The generalization contains, along with a homogeneous potential force field, gyroscopic forces depending on the configurational variables. Relative equilibria are classified, their type is calculated and the character of stability is defined. The Smale diagrams of the case are found and the classification of iso-energy manifolds of the reduced systems with two degrees of freedom is given. The set of critical points of the complete momentum map is represented as a union of critical subsystems; each critical subsystem is a one-parameter family of almost Hamiltonian systems with one degree of freedom. For all critical points we explicitly calculate the characteristic values defining their type. We obtain the equations of the surfaces bearing the bifurcation diagram of the momentum map. We give examples of the existing iso-energy diagrams with a complete description of the corresponding rough topology (of the regular Liouville tori and their bifurcations).

Due to Poinsot's theorem, the motion of a rigid body about a fixed point is represented as rolling without slip** of the moving hodograph of the angular velocity over the fixed one. If the moving hodograph is a closed curve, visualization of motion is obtained by the method of P.V.Kharlamov. For an arbitrary motion in an integrable problem with an axially symmetric force field the moving hodograph densely fills some two-dimensional surface and the fixed one fills a three-dimensional surface. In this paper, we consider the irreducible integrable case in which both hodographs are two-frequency curves. We obtain the equations of bearing surfaces, illustrate the main types of the surfaces. We propose a method of the so-called non-straight geometric interpretation representing the motion of a body as a superposition of two periodic motions.

In general case, a Hamiltonian system with three degrees of freedom describing the motion of a rigid body in two constant fields does not admit any symmetry groups. H.Yehia has found conditions under which the equations of motion of the Kovelevskaya type gyrostat in such a field have, in addition to the energy integral, an integral linear with respect to angular velocities. Later it was noticed that this integral under the conditions of Yehia exists for arbitrary axially symmetric gyrostat having the centers of the fields applications in the equatorial plane. The corresponding natural mechanical system has an $S^1$-symmetry which has a non-empty set of fixed points. Smale's program of topological analysis can be fulfilled with some modifications considering the singularity of the symmetry action. We construct the bifurcation diagrams of the momentum map for a family of systems with a singular symmetry and investigate the dependency on one essential parameter expressing the ratio of the axial and equatorial inertia moments.

In the phase space of the integrable Hamiltonian system with three degrees of freedom used to describe the motion of a Kowalevski-type top in a double constant force field, we point out the four-dimensional invariant manifold. It is shown that this manifold consists of critical motions generating a smooth sheet of the bifurcation diagram, and the induced dynamic system is Hamiltonian with certain subset of points of degeneration of the symplectic structure. We find the transformation separating variables in this system. As a result, the solutions can be represented in terms of elliptic functions of time. The corresponding phase topology is completely described.

Analytical expressions of spin-orbit potentials are given for various cases. Proton spin-orbit splittings are calculated along some isotopic chains (O, Ca, Sn) and they are compared with existing data. It is found that the isotopic dependence of the relativistic mean field predictions is similar to that of some Skyrme forces while the relativistic Hartree-Fock approach leads to a very different dependence due to the strong non-locality.
