Inner Retinal neurons are a most essential part of the retina and they are supplied with blood via retinal vessels. This paper primarily focuses on the segmentation of retinal vessels using a triple preprocessing approach. DRIVE database was taken into consideration and preprocessed by Gabor Filtering, Gaussian Blur, and Edge Detection by Sobel and Pruning. Segmentation was driven out by 2 proposed U-Net architectures. Both the architectures were compared in terms of all the standard performance metrics. Preprocessing generated varied interesting results which impacted the results shown by the UNet architectures for segmentation. This real-time deployment can help in the efficient pre-processing of images with better segmentation and detection.

In this paper, we present an experimental study of the metrological stabilization of a solid-state frequency comb for embedded metrology applications. The comb is a passively mode-locked laser diode based on InGaAs/InP Quantum-dash structure emitting optical lines into a 9 nm bandwidth centered at 1.55 $μ$m with a repetition rate of 10.09 GHz. The frequency stabilization is achieved by optical injection locking of the comb with an external cavity laser diode referenced onto a metrological frequency standard. One observes the transfer of the spectral purity from the injection laser to the neighbouring modes of the injected one as well as the transfer of stability to the adjacent modes. The measurement of the long term stability highlights a frequency noise with random walk behavior specific of the passive mode locking process. Demonstration of sidebands of the injection laser at the repetition frequency of the comb also makes it possible to propose a transfer mechanism and to consider a complete stabilization of the frequency comb at a metrological stability level.

The emergence of CNNs in mainstream deployment has necessitated methods to design and train efficient architectures tailored to maximize the accuracy under diverse hardware & latency constraints. To scale these resource-intensive tasks with an increasing number of deployment targets, Once-For-All (OFA) proposed an approach to jointly train several models at once with a constant training cost. However, this cost remains as high as 40-50 GPU days and also suffers from a combinatorial explosion of sub-optimal model configurations. We seek to reduce this search space -- and hence the training budget -- by constraining search to models close to the accuracy-latency Pareto frontier. We incorporate insights of compound relationships between model dimensions to build CompOFA, a design space smaller by several orders of magnitude. Through experiments on ImageNet, we demonstrate that even with simple heuristics we can achieve a 2x reduction in training time and 216x speedup in model search/extraction time compared to the state of the art, without loss of Pareto optimality! We also show that this smaller design space is dense enough to support equally accurate models for a similar diversity of hardware and latency targets, while also reducing the complexity of the training and subsequent extraction algorithms.

We present a formula for the quantum entropy of supersymmetric five-dimensional spinning black holes in M-theory compactified on $CY_3$, i.e., BMPV black holes. We use supersymmetric localization in the framework of off-shell five dimensional $N=2$ supergravity coupled to $I = 1,\dots,N_V + 1$ off-shell vector multiplets. The theory is governed at two-derivative level by the symmetric tensor $\mathcal{C}_{IJK}$ (the intersection numbers of the Calabi-Yau) and at four-derivative level by the gauge-gravitational Chern-Simons coupling $c_I$ (the second Chern class of the Calabi-Yau). The quantum entropy is an $N_V + 2$-dimensional integral parameterised by one real parameter $\varphi^I$ for each vector multiplet and an additional parameter $\varphi^0$ for the gravity multiplet. The integrand consists of an action governed completely by $\mathcal{C}_{IJK}$ and $c_{I}$, and a one-loop determinant. Consistency with the on-shell logarithmic corrections to the entropy, the symmetries of the very special geometry of the moduli space, and an assumption of analyticity constrains the one-loop determinant up to a scale-independent function $f(\varphi^0)$. For $f=1$ our result agrees completely with the topological M-theory conjecture of Dijkgraaf, Gukov, Nietzke, and Vafa for static black holes at two derivative level, and provides a natural extension to higher derivative corrections. For rotating BMPV black holes, our result differs from the DGNV conjecture at the level of the first quantum corrections.

In the following work, we first propose two (partial summation) formulas involving the floor and ceiling functions. We use principle of mathematical induction to prove the propositions. Another formula relating to the difference of floor and ceiling functions is deduced using aforementioned pair. Finally, in the same section, we propose generalisation of Faulhaber's formula without proof and deduce certain new results using the generalised results. Thereafter, we introduce F-Hurwitz and C-Hurwitz Zeta functions (infinite series involving floor and ceiling functions respectively) which can be considered as the generalizations of Hurwitz Zeta function. For both infinite series, there exist equivalent series and two distinct methods are used to prove the same. Certain new relations are deduced using new Zeta functions. Thereafter, it is shown that even if new deductions have poles at s=q, their differences at the same are convergent. Further some special cases are given for particular values of the Zeta functions. Lastly, certain open problems are provided which might be helpful for further advancements in the field.

We analyze the localization equations relevant to the quantum entropy of spinning supersymmetric black holes in five-dimensional asymptotically flat space. The precise problem is to classify all solutions to the off-shell supersymmetry equations in N=2 supergravity coupled to $n_\text{v}+1$ vector multiplets around the near-horizon black hole. We rewrite these equations in terms of the bosonic spinor bilinears that exist in the geometry for an arbitrary background. We then focus on the vector multiplet fluctuations around the near-horizon attractor region of the supersymmetric black hole, and classify all smooth solutions to the localization equations in this background for different choices of analytic continuation. For the choice of analytic continuation consistent with the 4d/5d lift, we find that the most general localization solution for the five-dimensional black hole problem is an~$(n_\text{v}+1)$-dimensional manifold, which is precisely the lift of the localization manifold for supersymmetric black holes in four-dimensional asymptotically flat space.

Graph theory has successfully used to solve a wide range of problems encountered in diverse fields such as medical sciences, neural networks, control theory, transportation, clustering analysis, expert systems, image capturing, and network security. In past few years, a number of generalizations of graph theoretical concepts have developed to model the impreciseness and uncertainties in graphical network problems. A Pythagorean fuzzy set is a powerful tool for describing the vague concepts more precisely. The Pythagorean fuzzy set-based models provide more flexibility in handling the human judgment information as compared to other fuzzy models. The objective of this paper is to apply the concept of Pythagorean fuzzy sets to graph theory. This work introduces the notion of Pythagorean fuzzy graphs (PFGs) and describes a number of methods for their construction. We then define some basic operations on PFGs and prove some of their important properties. The work also discusses the notion of isomorphism between Pythagorean fuzzy graphs with a numerical example. Further, we introduce the concept of the strong Pythagorean fuzzy graph and the complete Pythagorean fuzzy graph. In addition, the paper also proves some results on self-complementary, self-weak complementary with Pythagorean fuzzy strong graphs and Pythagorean fuzzy complete graphs.
