This paper explores a cosmological reconstruction scheme in the background of f(Q) gravity theory from a Holographic perspective. The basic motivation for this work is that the reconstruction is performed from a holographic origin, which has its roots in the black hole thermodynamics and quantum gravity. Dark energy models inspired by holographic prescription are used to reconstruct the f(Q) gravity models. Two such models, namely the Granda-Oliveros holographic dark energy model and its generalization, the Chen- **g model are considered for the study. Different scale factors are used and a thorough reconstruction scheme is set up using the dark energy models. The observationally constrained values of the free model parameters have been used to form the reconstructed models. Finally, a thorough investigation of the energy conditions has been performed to check the cosmological viability of the reconstructed f(Q) models. As an outcome, we get some very promising and cosmologically viable f(Q) models that present some interesting properties and demand further investigation.

In this work, two originally separate adjustments for the Friedmann equations are concurrently considered. Firstly, the fractal structure of the black hole horizon region is imposed by the Barrow entropy. The second adjustment is the $f(\mathcal{T})$ gravity, which is based on a teleparallel framework generalization of the Einstein-Hilbert action, where $\mathcal{T}$ is the scalar torsion. This can be considered as a Barrow entropy modification of the $f(\mathcal{T})$ gravity thus yielding a new model. Gravity thermodynamics hypothesis principles are used to integrate these two models under a unified framework. We derive the modified Friedmann equation and note the corrections obtained. To understand the implications of such dual modifications, an application is analyzed and a particular $f(\mathcal{T})$ toy model is chosen for the purpose. The equation of the state parameter of the resulting model, the dimensionless density parameters of matter and dark energy, and the deceleration parameter are explored to check the viability of the new model. A discussion of the dynamic evolution of the universe follows from these results. It is seen that the results comply with the observations. The newly developed model is promising and demands further study.

In this paper, we explore a collapsing scenario in the background of energy-momentum squared gravity (EMSG). EMSG claims to have terms that originate from the quantum gravity effects mimicking loop quantum gravity. As a result, the framework admits a bounce at a finite time thus avoiding a singularity. So the question that naturally arises: Is there any realistic chance of the formation of a black hole or the quantum gravity effects are strong enough to totally avoid such a pathology? Motivated by this we are interested in studying a gravitational collapse mechanism in the background of EMSG and investigate the fate of such a process. We model the spacetime of a massive star by the Vaidya metric and derive the field equations in EMSG. Then using the equations we go on to study a gravitational collapse mechanism, on two specific models of EMSG with different forms of curvature-matter coupling. The prime objective is to probe the nature of singularity (if formed) as the end state of the collapse. We see that none of the models generically admit the formation of black holes as the end state of collapse, but on the contrary, they support the formation of naked singularities. This can be attributed to the quantum fluctuations of the gravitational interactions at the fundamental level.

In this work, we investigate the dissociation energy of the North (N) and South (S) poles of a quantum magnetic particle, incorporated within both classical and quantum mechanical perspectives. A simple model of a harmonic oscillator is employed to estimate the dissociation energy of the N-S poles, as well as the corresponding breakdown temperature and internal pressure. The results indicate that the separation of magnetic poles occurs in two states: (a) in an ultra-hot plasma medium with extremely high temperatures, such as in the core of a hot star, and (b) at extremely high pressures, such as between internal plates in complex superlattices of layered solids. The breakdown temperature is found to be of the order of $10^7$ to $10^8$ Kelvin, which is only achievable in an ultra-hot plasma environment, known as the fifth phase of matter. Based on this model, the possibility of dissociation of bonds between N and S magnetic poles for solid superlattices under very high pressures between crystal plates is also calculated. The results suggest that the presence of isolated magnetic monopoles in superlattices of solids under ultra-high-pressure conditions is possible. Consequently, the model proposes that the conductivity of magnetic monopole carriers can be applied to the manipulation of nanomaterials for the production of advanced devices, such as new generations of superconductors, new spin devices, and magnetic-electronics, advanced materials with magnetic monopoles, as well as super-dielectrics.

In this paper, we explore a reconstruction scheme in the background of the $f(T,\mathcal{T})$ gravity theory for different cosmological scenarios, where $T$ is the scalar torsion and $\mathcal{T}$ is the trace of the energy-momentum tensor. Using the reconstruction technique $f(T, \mathcal{T})$ Lagrangian is constructed for different cosmological eras such as dust, $ΛCDM$, perfect fluid, etc. Both minimal and non-minimal matter-coupled models are considered for this purpose. Different cosmological scenarios such as power law expansion, de-Sitter expansion, etc. have been considered, and using them Lagrangian functionals are constructed. Mathematical viabilities of all the constructed functionals have been investigated. The physical implications of the obtained solutions are discussed in detail. To check the cosmological compatibility of the constructed $f(T,\mathcal{T})$ functionals we have generated plots of important parameters like the equation of state parameter and deceleration parameter. It is seen that the reconstructed models are perfectly compatible with the late-time accelerated expansion of the universe.

This research paper delves into the study of a non-relativistic quantum system, considering the interplay of non-inertial effects induced by a rotating frame and confinement by the Aharonov-Bohm (AB) flux field with potential in the backdrop of topological defects, specifically a screw dislocation. We first focus on the harmonic oscillator problem, incorporating an inverse-square repulsive potential. Notably, it becomes evident that the energy eigenvalues and wave functions are intricately influenced by multiple factors: the topological defect parameter $β$ (representing the screw dislocation), the presence of a rotating frame engaged in constant angular motion with speed $Ω$, and the external potential. Then we study the quantum behavior of non-relativistic particles, engaging in interactions governed by an inverse square potential, all while taking into account the effects of the rotating frame. In both scenarios, a significant observation is made: the quantum flux field's existence brings about a shift in the energy spectrum. This phenomenon bears a resemblance to the electromagnetic Aharonov-Bohm effect.

In this work, we investigate the quantum motions of non-relativistic particles interacting with a potential in the presence of the Aharonov-Bohm (AB) flux field within a topological defect geometry, for example, space-time with a distortion of a vertical line into a vertical spiral. We begin by deriving the radial Schrödinger wave equation, incorporating an anharmonic oscillator potential, which is a superposition of a harmonic oscillator and an inverse square potential, along with a constant term. The eigenvalue solution is obtained through the confluent Heun equation focusing on the ground state energy level and the radial wave function for the radial mode $n=1$ as an example and analyze the results. Subsequently, we use these results in molecular potential models, considering pseudoharmonic and shifted pseudoharmonic potentials. The derived eigenvalue solutions provide insights into the behavior of particles within these potentials. Expanding our exploration, we study the quantum system featuring only an inverse square potential in the presence of the quantum flux field in the same geometry background. Employing the same procedure, we determine the ground state energy level and the radial wave function. Notably, our findings reveal that the eigenvalue solutions are significantly influenced by the topological defect characterized by the parameter $β$, and the quantum flux field $Φ_{AB}$. This influence manifests as a shift in the energy spectrum, drawing parallels to the gravitational analog of the Aharonov-Bohm effect.

Simplifying the Klein-Gordon oscillator equation for three different types of potential, such as linear confining, Coulomb-type, and Cornell-type potential and we arrive at a second-order differential equation known as the biconfluent Heun (BCH) equation and the corresponding confluent Heun function. In this work, we propose the Ricci-cubic holographic dark energy model. The model is inspired by the cubic curvature invariant formed by the contraction of three Riemann tensors. A combination of Ricci scalar and the cubic invariant is used to describe the infrared cutoff of the holographic dark energy. Such a construction is extremely useful since the evolution does not depend on the past or future features of the universe, but completely on its present features. Moreover, the use of invariants makes the theory more fundamental in nature. We have constructed the model and studied its cosmological features. The analytical solutions of various cosmological parameters such as the density parameter, equation of state parameter, and deceleration parameter are extracted and their behaviour is studied. It is seen that the holographic dark energy model can exhibit the entire thermal history of the universe, sequentially starting from radiation in the early universe, followed by matter, and finally the dark energy dominated epoch at late times. The equation of state parameter shows that the model can exhibit quintessence nature, phantom-divide crossing, and even phantom nature depending on the choice of parameter spaces.

In this work we have investigated the inflation mechanism driven by the Barrow Holographic dark energy (BHDE) in the early universe. BHDE is based on the Barrow relation for horizon entropy, which in turn is inspired from the shape of the COVID-19 virus. It was shown by Barrow that the quantum gravitational effects may instigate complex fractal features in the structure of a black hole. Since the length scale during the inflation is expected to be small, the energy density obtained from the application of the holographic principle in the early universe will be large enough to support the inflationary scenario. Using the Granda-Oliveros IR cut-off we have studied the inflationary scenario with the universe filled with BHDE. Various analytic solutions for the model were found out including the slow-roll parameters, scalar spectral index and tensor-to-scalar ratio. Since inflation is generally attributed to the presence of scalar fields, we have explored a correspondence between BHDE and scalar field models. Both canonical scalar field and the Tachyonic scalar field have been considered for this purpose. The evolution of the potential generated from the fields are plotted and found to be consistent with the observations. From the work we see that BHDE can be a model of dark energy that can successfully drive the early time inflation.

We use the 30-point $z-H(z)$ cosmic chronometer data as the observational tool for our analysis along with the BAO and the CMB peak parameters. To achieve this we used the publicly available CosmoMC code to put parameter bounds and subsequently generate contour plots for them with different confidence intervals. Besides finding the Hubble parameter $H$ in terms of the redshift $z$ theoretically from our gravity models, we have exercised correlation coefficients and two machine learning models, namely the linear regression (LR) and artificial neural network (ANN), for the estimation of $H(z)$. For this purpose, we have developed a Python package for finding the parameter space and performing the subsequent statistical analysis and prediction analysis using machine learning. We compared both our theoretical and estimated values of $H(z)$ with the observations. It is seen that our theoretical and estimated models from machine learning performed significantly well when compared with the observations.

In this work we propose the $f(Q,T_{μν}T^{μν})$ gravity as a further extension of the $f(Q)$ and $f(Q,T)$ gravity theories. The action involves an arbitrary function of the non-metricity $Q$ and $T_{μν}T^{μν}$ in the gravity Lagrangian. The field equations for the theory are derived in the metric-affine formalism by varying the action with respect to the metric. The theory involves a non-minimal coupling between the geometric and the matter sectors, and hence the covariant divergence of the energy-momentum tensor is non-zero, thus implying the non-conservation of the same. The vacuum solutions of the theory are investigated and it is found that the theory perfectly admits a de-Sitter-like evolution of the universe. The cosmological equations are derived and it is found that there are two correction terms arising as modification of the gravity. Two specific toy models of the form $Q+η\left(\textbf{T}^2\right)^{n}$ and $f_{0}Q^{m} \left(\textbf{T}^2\right)^{n}$ are explored to gain further insights into the dynamics of the theory. It is seen that the field equations of both the models have terms similar to those arising from the quantum gravity effects and are thus responsible for the avoidance of singularity. One striking feature of the model is that the non-linear correction terms dominate in the early universe and gradually fade away at later times giving the standard FLRW universe. Solutions for the FLRW equations are found wherever possible and the evolution of the scale factor and the matter-energy density are plotted. Finally, the energy conditions are explored in the background of the theory. Using these conditions and some observational data the theory is considerably constrained.

Some recent observational data is used to constrain model parameters using statistical techniques. We have used the cosmic chronometer and SNe Type-Ia Riess (292) $H(z)-z$ data-sets in our study. Finally we have compared our analysis with the union2 data sample presented by Amanullah et al.,2010 and the recently published Pantheon data sample. Finally a multi-component model is investigated by adding dust to a general cosmological fluid with equation of state $w=-1/3$. We derive the energy density of matter from the non-standard continuity equation and use it in our analysis. We consider two types of models depending on the nature of coupling between curvature and matter and perform thermodynamic analysis on them using the cosmic apparent horizon. The models are kept as generic as possible from the mathematical point of view in order to gain a wide applicability of the work. In this work we have considered power law and exponential form of models. All the thermodynamic parameters are expressed in terms of the cosmic apparent horizon radius and its time derivatives and their time evolution are studied. By using temperature, heat capacity analysis and the evolution trend of Helmholtz free energy the conditions for thermodynamic stability of the models are derived. In this paper, the thermodynamic properties of a thin black ring in AdS space-time is explored when the size of the ring is comparable to quantum scales. The angular momentum to mass ratio of this system has an upper limit, which is the cosmological radius of the black ring. It is found that the small black ring will be thermodynamically stable due to the effects introduced by thermal fluctuations. However, we find that the black ring is less stable than thermal AdS. Thermodynamic analysis indicates that there is no critical point, but there is Hawking-Page transition to radiation, which is confirmed by the Gibbs free energy analysis.

In this note a time dependent spacetime is explored in the background of $f(R,T)$ gravity via the gravitational collapse of a massive star. The star is modelled by the Vaidya spacetime which is time dependent in nature. The coupling of matter with curvature is the key feature of $f(R,T)$ theory and here we have investigated its effects on a collapsing scenario. Two different types of models, one involving minimal and the other involving non-minimal coupling between matter and curvature are considered for our study. Power law and exponential functionalities are considered as examples to check the outcome of the gravitational collapse. Our prime objective is to explore the nature of singularities (black hole or naked singularity) that form as an end state of the collapse. Existence of outgoing radial null geodesics from the central singularity was probed and such existence implied the formation of naked singularities thus defying the cosmic censorship hypothesis. The absence of such outgoing null geodesics would imply the formation of an event horizon and the singularity formed becomes a black hole. Conditions under which such possibilities occur are derived for all the models and sub-models. Gravitational strength of the singularity is also investigated and the conditions under which we can get a strong or a weak singularity is derived. The results obtained are very interesting and may be attributed to the coupling between curvature and matter. It is seen that for non-minimal coupling there is a possibility of a globally naked singularity, whereas for a minimal coupling scenario local nakedness is the only option. It is also found that the singularity formed can be sufficiently weak in nature, which is cosmologically desirable.

The present paper represents an attempt for a very generic string inspired theory of gravitation, based on a stringy action in the teleparallel gravity which includes a specific functional which depends on the scalar field and its kinetic energy, as well as the torsion and boundary terms, embedding also possible effects from the teleparallel Gauss--Bonnet invariants. We focus our study on FLRW cosmology. After we deduce the cosmological equations for the associated generic theory of gravitation, we focus on string inspired couplings which are studied by considering different analytical techniques. The first analytical technique is based on the linear stability theory, by introducing proper dimensionless variables which enables us to study the structure of the phase space and the associated physical effects. In this case, we have obtained different cosmological solutions which correspond to matter and dark energy dominated solutions, achieving a possible transition between matter and dark energy dominated epochs. For each type of cosmological solutions, we have discussed the corresponding physical features, attaining viable constraints for the coupling constants due to dynamical effects. The dynamical study of the physical features included also a numerical analysis by fine--tuning the initial conditions deep into the matter era, obtaining possible trajectories for the effective equation of state for specific coupling functions.

The uniqueness of these theories lies in the fact that the space-time curvature is coupled to the baryonic matter instead of exotic matter (in the form of scalar field). We investigate the viability of these theories from the point of view of the thermodynamic stability of the models. To be more precise here we are concerned with the thermodynamics of the apparent horizon of Friedmann-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) spacetime in the background of the $f(R,\mathcal{L})$ theory. We consider several models of $f(R,\mathcal{L})$ theories where both minimal and non-minimal coupling has been considered. Various thermodynamic quantities like entropy, enthalpy, internal energy, Gibbs free energy, etc. are computed and using their allowed ranges various model parameters are constrained.

In this note we explore a non-static spacetime in quantum regime in the background of $f(R)$ gravity. The time dependent Vaidya metric which represents the spacetime of a radiating body like star is studied in an energy dependent gravity's rainbow, which is a UV completion of General Relativity. In our quest we have used gravitational collapse as the main tool. The focus is to probe the nature of singularity (black hole or naked singularity) formed out of the collapsing procedure. This is achieved via a geodesic study. For our investigation we have considered two different models of $f(R)$ gravity, namely the inflationary Starobinsky's model and the power law model. Our study reveals the fact that naked singularity is as good a possibility as black hole as far as the central singularity is concerned. Via a proper fine tuning of the initial data, we may realize both black hole or naked singularity as the end state of the collapse. Thus this study is extremely important and relevant in the light of the Cosmic Censorship hypothesis. The most important result derived from the study is that gravity's rainbow increases the tendency of formation of naked singularities. We have also deduced the conditions under which the singularity will be a strong or weak curvature singularity. Finally in our quest to know more about the model we have performed a thermodynamical study. Throughout the study we have obtained results which involve deviation from the classical set-up. Such deviations are expected in a quantum evolution and can be attributed to the quantum fluctuations that our model suffers from. It is expected that this study will enhance our knowledge about quantization of gravity and subsequently about the illusive theory of quantum gravity.

In this work we have investigated the dynamics of a recent modification to the general theory of relativity, the energy-momentum squared gravity model $f(R,\mathbf{T^2})$, where $R$ represents the scalar curvature and $\mathbf{T^2}$ the square of the energy-momentum tensor. By using dynamical system analysis for various types of gravity functions $f(R,\mathbf{T^2})$, we have studied the structure of the phase space and the physical implications of the energy-momentum squared coupling. In the first case of functional where $f(R,\mathbf{T^2})=f_0 R^n(\mathbf{T^2})^m$, with $f_0$ constant, we have shown that the phase space structure has a reduced complexity, with a high sensitivity to the values of the $m$ and $n$ parameters. Depending on the values of the $m$ and $n$ parameters, the model exhibits various cosmological epochs, corresponding to matter eras, solutions associated with an accelerated expansion, or decelerated periods. The second model studied corresponds to the $f(R,\mathbf{T^2})=αR^n+β\mathbf{(T^2)}^m$ form with $α, β$ constant parameters. In this case, a richer phase space structure is obtained which can recover different cosmological scenarios, associated to matter eras, de--Sitter solutions, and dark energy epochs. Hence, this model represents an interesting cosmological model which can explain the current evolution of the Universe and the emergence of the accelerated expansion as a geometrical consequence.

Within this work, we propose a new generalised quintom dark energy model in the teleparallel alternative of general relativity theory, by considering a non-minimal coupling between the scalar fields of a quintom model with the scalar torsion component $T$ and the boundary term $B$. In the teleparallel alternative of general relativity theory, the boundary term represents the divergence of the torsion vector, $B=2\nabla_μT^μ$, and is related to the Ricci scalar $R$ and the torsion scalar $T$, by the fundamental relation: $R=-T+B$. We have investigated the dynamical properties of the present quintom scenario in the teleparallel alternative of general relativity theory by performing a dynamical system analysis in the case of decomposable exponential potentials. The study analysed the structure of the phase space, revealing the fundamental dynamical effects of the scalar torsion and boundary couplings in the case of a more general quintom scenario. Additionally, a numerical approach to the model is presented to analyse the cosmological evolution of the system.

In this work, FRW universe filled with dark matter (perfect fluid with negligible pressure) along with dark energy in the background of Galileon gravity is considered. Four dark energy models with different EoS parametrizations have been employed namely, Linear, CPL, JBP and Logarithmic parametrizations. From Stern, Stern+BAO and Stern+BAO+CMB joint data analysis, we have obtained the bounds of the arbitrary parameters $ω_{0}$ and $ω_{1}$ by minimizing the $χ^{2}$ test. The best-fit values and bounds of the parameters are obtained at 66\%, 90\% and 99\% confidence levels which are shown by closed confidence contours in the figures. For the logarithmic model unbounded confidence contours are obtained and hence the model parameters could not be finitely constrained. The distance modulus $μ$(z) against redshift $z$ has also been plotted for our predicted theoretical models for the best fit values of the parameters and compared with the observed Union2 data sample and SNe Type Ia 292 data and we have shown that our predicted theoretical models permits the observational data sets. From the data fitting it is seen that at lower redshifts $(z<0.3)$ the SNe Type Ia 292 data gives a better fit with our theoretical models compared to the Union2 data sample. So, from the data analysis, SNe Type Ia 292 data is the more favoured data sample over its counterpart given the present choice of free parameters. From the study, it is also seen that the logarithmic parametrization model is less supported by the observational data. Finally we have generated the plot for the deceleration parameter against the redshift parameter for all the theoretical models and compared the results with the work of Farooq et al, 2013.

The objective of Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) methods is essentially to extract, from large (image) databases, a specified number of images similar in visual and semantic content to a so-called query image. To bridge the semantic gap that exists between the representation of an image by low-level features (namely, colour, shape, texture) and its high-level semantic content as perceived by humans, CBIR systems typically make use of the relevance feedback (RF) mechanism. RF iteratively incorporates user-given inputs regarding the relevance of retrieved images, to improve retrieval efficiency. One approach is to vary the weights of the features dynamically via feature reweighting. In this work, an attempt has been made to improve retrieval accuracy by enhancing a CBIR system based on color features alone, through implicit incorporation of shape information obtained through prior segmentation of the images. Novel schemes for feature reweighting as well as for initialization of the relevant set for improved relevance feedback, have also been proposed for boosting performance of RF- based CBIR. At the same time, new measures for evaluation of retrieval accuracy have been suggested, to overcome the limitations of existing measures in the RF context. Results of extensive experiments have been presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approaches.

A set-up is designed and a constraint equation is obtained which generates the f(G) models that do not suffer from the coincidence problem. Due to the absence of a universally accepted interaction term introduced by a fundamental theory, the study is conducted over three different forms of logically chosen interaction terms. To illustrate the set-up three widely known models of f(G) gravity are taken into consideration and the problem is studied under the designed set-up. The study reveals that the popular f(G) gravity models does not approve of a satisfactory solution of the long standing coincidence problem, thus proving to be a major setback for them as successful models of universe. Finally, two non-conventional models of f(G) gravity have been proposed and studied in the framework of the designed set-up. It is seen that a complete solution of the coincidence problem is achieved for these models. In this assignment we try to probe the role played by torsion in the current scenario of coincidence and devise a set-up for its realization. In order to model the scenario, the energy arising from the torsion component is considered analogous to dark energy. An interaction between dark energy and dark matter is considered, which is by far the best possible tool to realize the coincidence. A set-up is designed and a constraint equation is obtained which screens the models of \textit{f(T)} gravity that can successfully accommodate the stationary scenario in its framework, from those which cannot. Due to the absence of a universally accepted interaction term introduced by a fundamental theory, the study is conducted over three different forms of chosen interaction terms. As an illustration two widely known models of \textit{f(T)} gravity are taken into consideration and used in the designed setup. The study reveals that the realization of the coincidence scenario as well as the role played by torsion in the current universe is a model dependent phenomenon. It is found that the first model showed a considerable departure from the stationary scenario. On the contrary the other four models are perfectly consistent with our setup and generated a satisfactory stationary scenario, thus showing their cosmological viability and their superiority over their counterparts. For the third model (exponential model) it was seen that the cosmological coincidence is realized only in the phantom regime. For the fourth (logarithmic model) and the fifth models, we see that the the stationary scenario is attained for negative interaction values. This shows that the direction of flow must be from dark energy to dark matter unlike the previous models. Under such circumstances the universe will return from the present energy dominated phase to a matter dominated phase.

We see that the Loop quantum deviations are highly pronounced in the early universe, but alleviates as we tend towards the present universe and continue to decay in future. Thus it puts a big question on the effectiveness and consequently the suitability of loop quantum cosmology to explain the future universe.

In modern high-throughput applications, it is important to identify pairwise associations between variables, and desirable to use methods that are powerful and sensitive to a variety of association relationships. We describe RankCover, a new non-parametric association test for association between two variables that measures the concentration of paired ranked points. Here `concentration' is quantified using a disk-covering statistic that is similar to those employed in spatial data analysis. Analysis of simulated datasets demonstrates that the method is robust and often powerful in comparison to competing general association tests. We illustrate RankCover in the analysis of several real datasets.

In this work we investigate the background dynamics when dark energy is coupled to dark matter with a suitable interaction in the universe described by Einstein-Aether gravity. Dark energy in the form of Modified Chaplygin gas is considered. A suitable interaction between dark energy and dark matter is considered in order to at least alleviate (if not solve) the cosmic coincidence problem. The dynamical system of equations is solved numerically and a stable scaling solution is obtained. A significant attempt towards the solution of the cosmic coincidence problem is taken. The statefinder parameters are also calculated to classify the dark energy models. Graphs and phase diagrams are drawn to study the variations of these parameters. It is also seen that the background dynamics of modified Chaplygin gas in Einstein-Aether gravity is completely consistent with the notion of an accelerated expansion in the late universe. Finally, it has been shown that the universe follows the power law form of expansion around the critical point.

We have assumed the FRW model of the universe in Galileon gravity, which is filled with dark matter and Modified Chaplygin gas (MCG) type dark energy. We present the Hubble parameter in terms of some unknown parameters and observational parameters with the redshift $z$. Some cosmological parameters are reconstructed and plots are generated to study the nature of the model and its viability. It is seen that the model is perfectly consistent with the present cosmic acceleration. From \textit{observed Hubble data (OHD) set or Stern data set} of 12 points, we have obtained the bounds of the arbitrary parameters ($A,B$) & ($A,C$) by minimizing the $χ^{2}$ test. Next due to joint analysis of \textit{Stern+BAO} and \textit{Stern+BAO+CMB} observations, we have also obtained the best fit values and the bounds of the parameters ($A,B$) & ($A,C$) by fixing some other parameters. The best-fit values and bounds of the parameters are obtained with 66%, 90% and 99% confidence levels for \textit{Stern, Stern+BAO and Stern+BAO+CMB} joint analysis. Next we have also taken type Ia supernovae data set (union 2 data set with 557 data points). The distance modulus $μ(z)$ against redshift $z$ for our theoretical MCG model in Galileon gravity have been tested for the best fit values of the parameters and the observed \textit{SNe Ia union 2 data} sample and from this, we have concluded that our model is in agreement with the union 2 sample data.

Vaidya's metric is used all over to follow the nature of future outgoing radial null geodesics. Detecting whether the central singularity is naked or wrapped by an event horizon, by the existence of future directed radial null geodesic emitted in past from the singularity is the basic objective. To point out the existence of positive trajectory tangent solution, both particular parametric cases (through tabular forms) and wide range contouring process have been applied. Precisely, the EoS in perfect fluid satisfies a wide range of phenomena: from dust to exotic fluid like dark energy. We have used the EoS parameter $k$ to determine the end collapse state in different cosmological era.

The motive of this work is to study gravitational collapse in Husain space-time in Brans-Dicke gravity theory. Among many scalar-tensor theories of gravity, Brans-Dicke is the simplest and the impact of it can be regulated by two parameters associated with it, namely, the Brans-Dicke parameter, $ω$, and the potential-scalar field dependency parameter $n$ respectively. V. Husain's work on exact solution for null fluid collapse in 1996 has influenced many authors to follow his way to find the end-state of the homogeneous/in-homogeneous dust cloud. Vaidya's metric is used all over to follow the nature of future outgoing radial null geodesics. Detecting whether the central singularity is naked or wrapped by an event horizon, by the existence of future directed radial null geodesic emitted in past from the singularity is the basic objective. To point out the existence of positive trajectory tangent solution, both particular parametric cases(through tabular forms) and wide range contouring process have been applied. Precisely, perfect fluid's EoS satisfies a wide range of phenomena : from dust to exotic fluid like dark energy. We have used the EoS parameter $k$ to determine the end state of collapse in different cosmological era. Our main target is to check low $ω$ (more deviations from Einstein gravity-more Brans Dicke effect) and negative $k$ zones. This particularly throws light on the nature of the end-state of collapse in accelerated expansion in Brans Dicke gravity. It is seen that for positive values of EoS parameter $k$, the collapse results in a black hole, whereas for negative values of $k$, naked singularity is the only outcome. It is also to be noted that "low $ω$" leads to the possibility of getting more naked singularities even for a non-accelerating universe.

In this work, the collapsing process of a spherically symmetric star, made of dust cloud, is studied in Hořava Lifshitz gravity in the background of Chaplygin gas dark energy. Two different classes of Chaplygin gas, namely, New variable modified Chaplygin gas and generalized cosmic Chaplygin gas are considered for the collapse study. Graphs are drawn to characterize the nature and to determine the possible outcome of gravitational collapse. A comparative study is done between the collapsing process in the two different dark energy models. It is found that for open and closed universe, collapse proceeds with an increase in black hole mass, the only constraint being that, relatively smaller values of $Λ$ has to be considered in comparison to $λ$. But in case of flat universe, possibility of the star undergoing a collapse in highly unlikely. Moreover it is seen that the most favourable environment for collapse is achieved when a combination of dark energy and dark matter is considered, both in the presence and absence of interaction. Finally, it is to be seen that, contrary to our expectations, the presence of dark energy does not really hinder the collapsing process in case of Hořava-Lifshitz gravity.

It is known that the equation of state (EoS) for MCG is a three-variable equation determined by $A$, $α$ and $B$. The permitted values of these parameters are determined by the recent astrophysical and cosmological observational data. Here we present the Hubble parameter in terms of the observable parameters $Ω_{m0}$, $Ω_{x0}$, $H_{0}$, redshift $z$ and other parameters like $A$, $B$, $C$ and $α$. Motivated by some previous works of Rudra et al we set to explore the background dynamics when dark energy in the form of New Variable Modified Chaplygin gas is coupled to dark matter with a suitable interaction in the universe described by brane cosmology. The main idea is to find out the efficiency of New variable modified Chaplygin gas to play the role of DE. As a result we resort to the technique of comparison with standard dark energy models. Here the RSII brane model have been considered as the gravity theory. An interacting model is considered in order to search for a possible solution of the cosmic coincidence problem. A dynamical system analysis is performed because of the high complexity of the system . The statefinder parameters are also calculated to classify the dark energy model. Graphs and phase diagrams are drawn to study the variations of these parameters and get an insight into the effectiveness of the dark energy model. It is also seen that the background dynamics of New Variable Modified Chaplygin gas is consistent with the late cosmic acceleration. After performing an extensive mathematical analysis, we are able to constrain the parameters of new variable modified Chaplygin gas as $m<n$ to produce the best possible results. Future singularities are studied and it is found that the model has a tendency to result in such singularities unlike the case of generalized cosmic Chaplygin gas. Our investigation leads us to the fact that New Variable Modified Chaplygin gas is not as effective as other Chaplygin gas models to play the role of dark energy.

In this paper we investigate the role played by dark energy in the form of Generalized cosmic Chaplygin gas in an accelerating universe described by FRW cosmology. We have tried to describe the model from the theoretical point of view of a field, by introducing a scalar field $φ$ and a self interacting potential $V(φ)$. The corresponding expressions for the field are obtained for the given model. Statefinder parameters have been used to characterize the dark energy model. Plots have been generated for characterizing different phases of universe diagrammatically and a comparative study is performed with the Modified Chaplygin gas model. As an outcome of the study, Generalized cosmic Chaplygin gas is identified as a much less constrained form of dark energy as compared to modified Chaplygin gas.
