Supernova X-Ray Database (SNaX) Updated to Ensure Long-term Stability
Abstract: The Supernova X-Ray Database (SNaX) was established a few years ago to make X-ray data on supernovae (SNe) publicly available via an elegant searchable web interface. The database has recently been updated to PhP7, had security updates done, and moved to a new server, ensuring its long-term stability. We urge astronomers to continue to download the data as needed for their work. Those with X-ray d… ▽ More

Comments: 3 pages, 1 figure. Published in the Research Notes of the American Astronomical Society. Just a small reminder to astronomers to use the database for X-ray data on SNe, and to upload your data on X-ray SNe to the database

Wall-plug (AC) power consumption of a very high energy e+/e- storage ring collider
Abstract: Estimated AC power consumption ranges from ~280 MW (1) to 416 MW (2) for a 350 GeV E_cm 80 km circumference colliding beam storage ring complex with parameters given in (1). The difference between the two estimates is from differing assumptions concerning heat removal, cryo-plant efficiency, klystron operation etc. The purpose of this note is to list and explain these.
