Inspection of large building is an important task since it can prevent material and human losses. A cheap and fast way to do the inspections is by sensors mounted on quadrotor vehicles. Inspection of large building is an important task since it can prevent material and human losses. A cheap and fast way to do the inspections is by sensors mounted on quadrotor vehicles. The challenge here is to compute a trajectory so that the building is completely observed while this same trajectory can be followed by the quadrotor in a smooth way. To address the problem, we propose a method that receives a 2.5D model of the target building and computes a smooth trajectory that can be followed by the quadrotor controller. The computed trajectory is a Fourier series that matches the desired behaviour. Our method has been tested in simulation and we have compared it against polynomial trajectories. Our result show that the method is efficient and can be applied to different building shapes.

Abstract:
The Conley theory has a tool to guarantee the existence of periodic trajectories in isolating neighborhoods of semi-dynamical systems. We prove that the positive trajectories generated by a piecewise-smooth vector field $Z=(X, Y)$ defined in a closed manifold of three dimensions without the scape region produces a semi-dynamical system. Thus, we have built a semiflow that allows us to apply the cl…

Thus, we have built a semiflow that allows us to apply the classical Conley theory. Furthermore, we use it to guarantee the existence of periodic orbits in this class of piecewise-smooth vector fields.

Abstract:
Quasi all water soluble composites use graphene oxide (GO) or reduced graphene oxide (rGO) as graphene based additives despite the long and harsh conditions required for their preparation. Quasi all water soluble composites use graphene oxide (GO) or reduced graphene oxide (rGO) as graphene based additives despite the long and harsh conditions required for their preparation. Herein, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) films containing few layer graphene (FLG) are prepared by the co-mixing of aqueous colloids and casting, where the FLG colloid is first obtained via an effcient, rapid, simple, and bio-compatible exfoliation method providing access to relatively large FLG flakes. The enhanced mechanical, electrical conductivity, and O2 barrier properties of the films are investigated and discussed together with the structure of the films. In four different series of the composites, the best Young modulus is measured for the films containing around 1% of FLG. The most significant enhancement is obtained for the series with the largest FLG sheets contrary to the elongation at break which is well improved for the series with the lowest FLG sheets. Relatively high one-side electrical conductivity and low percolation threshold are achieved when compared to GO(rGO) composites (almost 10-3 S.cm-1 for 3% of FLG and transport at 0.5% FLG), while the conductivity is affected by the formation of a macroscopic branched FLG network. The composites demonstrate a reduction of O2 transmission rate up to 60%.

We present a high scale method to produce few layer graphene (FLG) based on the mechanical exfoliation of graphite and compare the obtained FLG with the one reported earlier arising from pencil lead ablation. Several things are modified and improved in the new approach. The purification and the ablation set_up are simplified, and the morphology of the FLG is modified and improved in view of some applications. The morphology dependent properties of FLGs, lead FLG and graphite FLG, are investigated as conductive layers and in nanocomposites. Newly obtained FLG has higher aspect ratio (high lateral size vs. thickness, higher 2D aspect) which is reflected by an enhanced transparency_conductivity features of the layer (film) and an elongation at break behavior in the polymer composites. On the contrary, the nanocomposite containing lead FLG shows for instance excellent gas barrier properties due to the multistep structure of lead FLG flakes. Such structure exhibits less 2D and more 3D character, which can be highly suitable for applications where the presence of active, reactive edges is beneficial ( in catalysis or supercapacitors electrodes). Nuclear reaction analysis is employed to investigate the morphology of graphite FLG film.
