On the classification of symplectic DQ-algebroids
Abstract: DQ-algebroids locally defined on a symplectic manifold form a 2-gerbe. By adapting the method of P. Deligne to the setting of DQ-algebroids we show that this 2-gerbe admits a canonical global section, namely that every symplectic manifold admits a canonical DQ-algebroid quantizing the structure sheaf. The construction relies on methods of non-abelian cohomology and local computations in the Weyl a… ▽ More

Typical coexistence of infinitely many strange attractors
Abstract: We prove that the coexistence of infinitely many prevalent Hénon-like phenomena is Kolmogorov typical in sectional dissipative $C^{d,r}$-Berger domains of parameter families of diffeomorphisms of dimension $m\geq 3$ for $d<r-1$. Namely, we answer an old question posed by Colli in [Annales de l'Institut Henri Poincare-Nonlinear Analysis, 15, 539--580 (1998)] on typicality of the coexistence of infi… ▽ More

Global Field Totients
Abstract: Using a remainder theorem for valuations of a field, we give a new perspective on the norm function of a global field. We define the Euler totient function of a global field and recover the essential analytical properties of the classical arithmetical function, namely the product formula. In addition, we prove the holomorphicity of the associated zeta function. As an application, we recover the an… ▽ More
