We address the potential significance of a heavy neutrino sector during precision measurements, particularly for tau neutrinos scattering with masses in the MeV range, for which the existing upper bounds on $|U_{τ4}|^2$ would result in conceivably measurable contributions. Finally, we comment on the possibility to distinguish between Dirac and Majorana neutrinos, including the analysis of the new emerging parameters and its application to illustrative model-dependent scenarios.

We show that $τ$-based results agree with the available lattice window evaluations and with the full result. On the intermediate window, where all lattice evaluations are rather precise and agree, $τ$-based results are compatible with them. This is particularly interesting, given that the disagreement of the $e^+e^-$ data-driven result with the lattice values in this window is the main cause for their discrepancy, affecting the interpretation of the $a_μ$ measurement in terms of possible new physics.

A novel method to differentiate the effects of Dirac and Majorana (D-M) neutrinos in four-body decays has been discussed in arXiv:2106.11785. There, it is concluded that the back-to-back kinematic scenario seems to avoid the constraint imposed by the "practical Dirac-Majorana confusion theorem", as one does not need to fully integrate over neutrino and antineutrino momenta. In this paper, we propose to analyse radiative leptonic lepton-decays ($\ell\to\ell'ν\barνγ$), as an independent alternative process to study the possible Majorana nature of neutrinos. Our approach demonstrates that, in the back-to-back kinematic configuration (for the $\ell'- γ$ and $ν-\barν$ systems, respectively), the distinction between Dirac and Majorana cases disappears when the inaccessible neutrino angle is integrated out, which might appear unexpected considering the claims in arXiv:2106.11785. Our results apply in absence of non-standard interactions, which can enhance generally the sensitivity to the neutrino nature.

We find that currently the best limits are provided by the loop-induced $\ell_i\to\ell_jγ$ processes, while the best future sensitivities come from $μ\to e$ conversion in aluminum and from potential $τ\to \ellγγ$ searches at Belle II or at the Super Tau Charm Facility. We also motivate the search for $μ\to eγγ$ at the Mu3e experiment as a complementary probe of these operators.

We complement a previous work \cite{Fortuna:2020wwx} using an EFT framework of dark matter and standard model interactions, with spin-one mediators, exploring a wider dark matter mass range, up to $6.4$ TeV. We use again bounds from different experiments: relic density, direct detection experiments and indirect detection limits from the search of gamma-ray emissions and positron fluxes. Besides, in this paper we add collider constraints by the ATLAS Collaboration in monojet analysis. Moreover, here we tested our previous results in the light of the aforementioned ATLAS data, which turn out to be the most restrictive forlight dark matter masses (as expected), $m_{\rm DM}<M_Z/2$. We obtain a larger range of solutions for the operators of dimension 5, OP1 and OP4, where masses above $43$ GeV and $30$ GeV (but for the $Z$ resonance region, $\sim (M_Z\pmΓ_Z)/2$), respectively, are allowed. In contrast, the operator of dimension 6, OP3, has viable solutions for masses $\gtrsim 190$ GeV. For the combination of OP1\&OP3 we obtain solutions (for masses larger than $140$ or $325$ GeV) that depend on the relative sign between the operators.

We calculate the specific energy and angular distribution of the final charged lepton, including the polarizations of the initial and final charged leptons. We discuss the new generalized Michel parameters and focus on the effects of the heavy neutrino masses that would lead to sizable contributions on scenarios where the new sterile neutrinos have non-negligible mixing. Specifically, the most promising scenario is found for the case of $τ$ decay with one heavy final-state neutrino with a mass around $10^2 - 10^3$ MeV, where the linear term suppression could be of order $10^{-4}$, low enough to be measured in current and forthcoming experiments.

We present an evaluation of the $π^\pm$ and $K^\pm$ box contributions to the hadronic light-by-light piece of the muon's anomalous magnetic moment, $a_μ$. The calculation of the corresponding electromagnetic form factors (EFFs) is performed within a Dyson-Schwinger equations (DSE) approach to quantum chromodynamics. These form factors are calculated in the so-called rainbow-ladder (RL) truncation, following two different evaluation methods and, subsequently, in a further improved approximation scheme which incorporates meson cloud effects. The results are mutually consistent, indicating that in the domain of relevance for $a_μ$ the obtained EFFs are practically equivalent. Our analysis yields the combined estimates of $a_μ^{π^\pm-box}=-(15.6\pm 0.2)\times 10^{-11}$ and $a_μ^{K^\pm-\text{box}}=-(0.48\pm 0.02)\times 10^{-11}$, in full agreement with results previously obtained within the DSE formalism and other contemporary estimates.

Recently, the Belle collaboration reported the first measurements of the $τ^- \toν_τπ^-e^+e^-$ branching fraction and the spectrum of the pion-dielectron system. In an analysis previous to Belle's results, we evaluated this branching fraction which turned out to be compatible with that reported by Belle, although with a large uncertainty. This is the motivation to seek for improvements on our previous evaluation of $τ^- \to ν_τπ^-\ell^+\ell^-$ decays ($\ell=e,\,μ$). In this paper we improve our calculation of the $WP^-γ^*$ vertex by including flavour symmetry breaking effects in the framework of the Resonance Chiral Theory. We impose QCD short-distance behaviour to constrain most parameters and data on the $π^-e^+e^-$ spectrum reported by Belle to fix the remaining free ones. As a result, improved predictions for the branching ratios and hadronic/leptonic spectra are reported, in good agreement with observations. Analogous calculations for the strangeness-changing $τ^- \to ν_τK^-\ell^+\ell^-$ transitions are reported for the first time. Albeit one expects the $m_{πμ^+μ^-}$ spectrum to be measured in Belle-II and the observables with $\ell=e$ can be improved, it is rather unlikely that the $K$ channels can be measured due to the suppression factor $|V_{ud}/V_{us}|^2=0.05$.

For $τ\to\ell\ell'\bar{\ell}"$ (including wrong-sign, $\ell=e, μ$) decays and $μ\to e$ conversion in Ti, we get typical rates only one order of magnitude below present bounds ($\ell\to\ell'γ$ can reach the current upper limit) and for $Z\to\barτ\ell$, $μ\to e e \bar{e}$ and conversion in Au, results are within two orders of magnitude from present limits. Correlations among modes are drastically different to the traditional LHT and other models, which would ease the confrontation of this scenario to eventual measurements of LFV processes involving charged leptons.

The radiative corrections to $R_{τ/P}$ are computed following a large-$N_C$ expansion to deal with hadronic effects: Chiral Perturbation Theory is enlarged by including the lightest multiplets of spin-one heavy states such that the relevant Green functions are well-behaved at high energies. We find $δR_{τ/π}=(0.18\pm 0.57 )\%$ and $δR_{τ/K}=(0.97\pm 0.58 )\%$, which imply $\left|g_τ/g_μ\right|_π=0.9964\pm 0.0038$ and $\left|g_τ/g_μ\right|_K=0.9857\pm 0.0078$, compatible with and at $1.8σ$ of lepton universality, respectively. We test unitarity and bind non-standard effective interactions with the $τ\to P ν_τ[γ]$ decays.

Both the inner-bremsstrahlung and the structure- (and model-)dependent contributions are considered. In the $\ell=e$ case, structure-dependent effects are $\mathcal{O}(1\%)$ in the decay rate, yielding a clean prediction of its branching ratio, $2.3\times10^{-5}$, measurable with BaBar or Belle(-II) data. For $\ell=μ$, both contributions have similar magnitude and we get a branching fraction of $(1.6\pm0.3)\times10^{-7}$, reachable by the end of Belle-II operation. These decays allow to study the dynamics of strong interactions with simultaneous weak and electromagnetic probes; their knowledge will contribute to reducing backgrounds in lepton flavor/number violating searches.

We review the present status of the Standard Model calculation of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. This is performed in a perturbative expansion in the fine-structure constant $α$ and is broken down into pure QED, electroweak, and hadronic contributions. The pure QED contribution is by far the largest and has been evaluated up to and including $\mathcal{O}(α^5)$ with negligible numerical uncertainty. The electroweak contribution is suppressed by $(m_μ/M_W)^2$ and only shows up at the level of the seventh significant digit. It has been evaluated up to two loops and is known to better than one percent. Hadronic contributions are the most difficult to calculate and are responsible for almost all of the theoretical uncertainty. The leading hadronic contribution appears at $\mathcal{O}(α^2)$ and is due to hadronic vacuum polarization, whereas at $\mathcal{O}(α^3)$ the hadronic light-by-light scattering contribution appears. Given the low characteristic scale of this observable, these contributions have to be calculated with nonperturbative methods, in particular, dispersion relations and the lattice approach to QCD. The largest part of this review is dedicated to a detailed account of recent efforts to improve the calculation of these two contributions with either a data-driven, dispersive approach, or a first-principle, lattice-QCD approach. The final result reads $a_μ^\text{SM}=116\,591\,810(43)\times 10^{-11}$ and is smaller than the Brookhaven measurement by 3.7$σ$. The experimental uncertainty will soon be reduced by up to a factor four by the new experiment currently running at Fermilab, and also by the future J-PARC experiment. This and the prospects to further reduce the theoretical uncertainty in the near future-which are also discussed here-make this quantity one of the most promising places to look for evidence of new physics.

We revisit well-known short-distance constraints relating the hadronic light-by light Green's function to the $\langle VVA \rangle$ one, that have been a subject of debate over the past years in the context of the muon $(g-2)$. Specifically, we identify a relation among the longitudinal and transverse degrees of freedom that is enforced by the axial anomaly that, by contrast, has not received attention in the past. Such relation allows, among other things, to overcome the problem of basis ambiguities when describing axial-vector mesons transition form factors, but further applications are discussed as well, with special focus on the role of axial-vector mesons in the HLbL contribution to the muon $(g-2)$. Our results should also contribute to a better understanding of the, so far, controversial interplay among short-distance constraints with longitudinal and transverse degrees of freedom, such as axial-vector mesons. This is key to confront the theoretical and experimental result for the muon $(g-2)$ that, currently, exhibits a $4.2σ$ tension.

We demonstrate a flexible sensor for ascorbic acid detection in sweat based on single-step modified gold microelectrodes. The modification consists on the electrodeposition of alginate membrane with trapped CuO nanoparticles on top of the electrodes. The electrodes are fabricated at a thin polyimide support and the soft nature of the membrane can withstand mechanical stress far beyond the requirements for skin monitoring. We further show the efficient detection of ascorbic acid at the micromolar levels in both, a neutral buffer and acidic artificial sweat, at ultra-low applied potential (-5 mV). The effect of possible interfering species present in sweat is minimized, with no observable cross-reaction, thus maintaining a high degree of selectivity despite absence of enzymes in the fabrication scheme. This sensor is envisioned as a promising component of a wearable device for e.g. non-invasive monitoring of micronutrient loss through sweat.

In particular, we calculate all the one-loop contributions to these processes and present their analytic expressions. We focus on the genuine effects of the heavy Majorana masses, comparing the results in that case with the ones obtained when the two heavy neutrinos define a Dirac field. Finally, we use our results to update the bounds on the heavy-light mixings in the neutrino sector.

A controlled theoretical input on the Standard Model hadronic form factors, based on chiral symmetry, dispersion relations, data and asymptotic QCD properties, has allowed us to set bounds on the New Physics effective couplings using the present experimental data. Our results highlight the importance of semileptonic $τ$ decays in complementing the traditional low-energy probes, such nuclear $β$ decays or semileptonic pion and kaon decays, and the high-energy measurements at LHC scales. This makes yet another reason for considering hadronic tau decays as golden modes at Belle-II.

We analyze the decays $τ^-\to K^-(η^{(\prime)},K^0) ν_τ$ within an effective field theory that includes the most general interactions between Standard Model fields up to dimension six, assuming left-handed neutrinos. In particular, we examine different interesting phenomenological observables i.e. decay spectra and branching ratio, Dalitz plot distributions and the forward-backward asymmetry, to explore the sensitivity of the corresponding decays to the effects of non-standard interactions. A controlled theoretical input on the Standard Model hadronic form factors, based on chiral symmetry, dispersion relations, data and asymptotic QCD properties, has allowed us to set bounds on the New Physics scalar and tensor effective couplings using the measured branching ratios. These are found to be in line with the findings of our series of previous analyses of two-meson tau decays and less precise than the constraints obtained from semileptonic kaon decays. In order to set stringent limits on these couplings, we will use all available experimental data of all possible di-meson tau decays. This is our next step plan, that we hope to be of interest for future experimental analyses of these decays.

Management and orchestration (MANO) of resources by virtual network functions (VNFs) represents one of the key challenges towards a fully virtualized network architecture as envisaged by 5G standards. Current threshold-based policies inefficiently over-provision network resources and under-utilize available hardware, incurring high cost for network operators, and consequently, the users. In this work, we present a MANO algorithm for VNFs allowing a central unit (CU) to learn to autonomously re-configure resources (processing power and storage), deploy new VNF instances, or offload them to the cloud, depending on the network conditions, available pool of resources, and the VNF requirements, with the goal of minimizing a cost function that takes into account the economical cost as well as latency and the quality-of-service (QoS) experienced by the users. First, we formulate the stochastic resource optimization problem as a parameterized action Markov decision process (PAMDP). Then, we propose a solution based on deep reinforcement learning (DRL). More precisely, we present a novel RL approach called, parameterized action twin (PAT) deterministic policy gradient, which leverages an actor-critic architecture to learn to provision resources to the VNFs in an online manner. Finally, we present numerical performance results, and map them to 5G key performance indicators (KPIs). To the best of our knowledge, this is the first work that considers DRL for MANO of VNFs' physical resources.

This work relies on a practical and well-tested quark-photon vertex Ansatz approach to evaluate the TFFs for arbitrary space-like photon virtualities, in the impulse approximation. The numerical results are parametrized meticulously, ensuring a reliable evaluation of the HLbL contributions to $a_μ$. We obtain: $a_μ^{π^0-\textrm{pole}} = (6.14 \pm 0.21) \times 10^{-10}$, $a_μ^{η-\textrm{pole}} = (1.47 \pm 0.19) \times 10^{-10}$, $a_μ^{η'-\textrm{pole}} = (1.36 \pm 0.08) \times 10^{-10}$, yielding a total value of $a_μ^{π^0+η+η'-\textrm{pole}} = (8.97 \pm 0.48) \times 10^{-10}$, compatible with contemporary determinations. Notably, we find that $a_μ^{η_c+η_b-\textrm{pole}} \approx a_μ^{η_c-\textrm{pole}} = (0.09 \pm 0.01) \times 10^{-10}$, which might not be negligible once the percent precision in the computation of the light pseudoscalars is reached.

Today's mobile data traffic is dominated by content-oriented traffic. Caching popular contents at the network edge can alleviate network congestion and reduce content delivery latency. This paper provides a comprehensive and unified study of caching and delivery techniques in wireless radio access networks (RANs) with caches at all edge nodes (ENs) and user equipments (UEs). Three cache-aided RAN architectures are considered: RANs without fronthaul, with dedicated fronthaul, and with wireless fronthaul. It first reviews in a tutorial nature how caching facilitates interference management in these networks by enabling interference cancellation (IC), zero-forcing (ZF), and interference alignment (IA). Then, two new delivery schemes are presented. One is for RANs with dedicated fronthaul, which considers centralized cache placement at the ENs but both centralized and decentralized placement at the UEs. This scheme combines IA, ZF, and IC together with soft-transfer fronthauling. The other is for RANs with wireless fronthaul, which considers decentralized cache placement at all nodes. It leverages the broadcast nature of wireless fronthaul to fetch not only uncached but also cached contents to boost transmission cooperation among the ENs. Numerical results show that both schemes outperform existing results for a wide range of system parameters, thanks to the various caching gains obtained opportunistically.

We include the leading dimension six operators and work at linear order in the effective couplings. Within this setting we:
i) follow the derivation in Phys. Rev. Lett. 120 (2018) no.14, 141803 where it was proved unambiguously that it is impossible to understand the BaBar anomaly in the CP asymmetry measurement within this framework. We allow for reasonable variations of the hadronic input involved and study the associated uncertainty;
ii) first show that the anomalous bump present in the published Belle data for the $K_Sπ^-$ invariant mass distribution close to threshold cannot be due to heavy NP;
iii) first bind the heavy NP effective couplings using $τ^-\to(Kπ)^-ν_τ$ decays and show that they are competitive with those found in hyperon semileptonic decays (but clearly not with those obtained in Kaon (semi)leptonic decays for NP scalar currents). We put forward that the comparison of the considered tau decays with (semi)leptonic kaon and hyperon decays provide with meaningful tests of lepton universality for (NP) tensor interactions.
We also compare the SM predictions with the possible deviations caused by NP in a couple of Dalitz plot distributions, in the forward-backward asymmetry and in the di-meson invariant mass distribution and discuss the most interesting measurements to be performed at Belle-II using these decays data.

On the one hand, we take advantage of the very precise data on the modulus squared of the pion vector form factor $|F_{V}^π|^{2}$ obtained by Belle to carry out a very dedicated analysis of the region where these resonances come up into play. Our study provides an improved treatment of the systematic theoretical errors and, as a most important result, we conclude that they dominate over the fit uncertainties in the determination of the $ρ(1450)$ and $ρ(1700)$ pole parameters and tend to be larger than in other determinations quoted in the literature where these errors were ignored or underestimated. The results of our analysis are summarized in numerical tables for the form factor modulus and phase, including both statistical and systematic errors, that can be found as ancillary material of this paper. As a byproduct, we also determine the low-energy observables of the pion vector form factor and the $ρ$-pole position. On the other hand, we benefit from the recent experimental data for the transition $τ^{-}\to K^{-}K_{S}ν_τ$ released by BaBar to perform a first analysis of its decay spectrum and discuss the role of these resonances in this decay. We point out that higher-quality data on the $K^{-}K_{S}$ decay channel will allow compete with the $|F_{V}^π|^{2}$ ones and improve the determination of the $ρ(1450)$ and $ρ(1700)$ resonance parameters as a result of a combined analysis. We hope our study to be of interest for present and future experimental analysis of these decays.

We have studied the $P\toγ^\starγ^\star$ form factor in Resonance Chiral Theory, with $P = π^0ηη'$, to compute the contribution of the pseudoscalar pole to the hadronic light-by-light piece of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. In this work we allow the leading $U(3)$ chiral symmetry breaking terms, obtaining the most general expression for the form factor up to $\mathcal{O}(m_P^2)$. The parameters of the Effective Field Theory are obtained by means of short distance constraints on the form factor and matching with the expected behavior from QCD. Those parameters that cannot be fixed in this way are fitted to experimental determinations of the form factor within the spacelike region. Chiral symmetry relations among the transition form factors for $π^0,η$ and $η'$ allow for a simultaneous fit to experimental data for the three mesons. This shows an inconsistency between the BaBar $π^0$ data and the rest of the experimental inputs. Thus, we find a total pseudoscalar pole contribution of $a_μ^{P,HLbL}=(8.47\pm 0.16)\cdot 10^{-10}$ for our best fit (that neglecting the BaBar $π^0$ data). Also, a preliminary rough estimate of the impact of NLO in $1/N_C$ corrections and higher vector multiplets (asym) enlarges the uncertainty up to $a_μ^{P,HLbL}=(8.47\pm 0.16_{\rm stat}\pm 0.09_{N_C}{}^{+0.5}_{-0.0_{\rm asym}})10^{-10}$.

We present the physics program of the Belle II experiment, located on the intensity frontier SuperKEKB $e^+e^-$ collider. Belle II collected its first collisions in 2018, and is expected to operate for the next decade. It is anticipated to collect 50/ab of collision data over its lifetime. This book is the outcome of a joint effort of Belle II collaborators and theorists through the Belle II theory interface platform (B2TiP), an effort that commenced in 2014. The aim of B2TiP was to elucidate the potential impacts of the Belle II program, which includes a wide scope of physics topics: B physics, charm, tau, quarkonium, electroweak precision measurements and dark sector searches. It is composed of nine working groups (WGs), which are coordinated by teams of theorist and experimentalists conveners: Semileptonic and leptonic B decays, Radiative and Electroweak penguins, phi_1 and phi_2 (time-dependent CP violation) measurements, phi_3 measurements, Charmless hadronic B decay, Charm, Quarkonium(like), tau and low-multiplicity processes, new physics and global fit analyses. This book highlights "golden- and silver-channels", i.e. those that would have the highest potential impact in the field. Theorists scrutinised the role of those measurements and estimated the respective theoretical uncertainties, achievable now as well as prospects for the future. Experimentalists investigated the expected improvements with the large dataset expected from Belle II, taking into account improved performance from the upgraded detector.

We were driven by a claimed unnaturally large branching ratio predicted for the $τ^-\to μ^- \ell^+ \ell^-$ ($\ell=μ, e$) decays \cite{Pham:1998fq}, which was at odds with the corresponding predictions for the $μ^-\to e^- e^-e^+$ processes \cite{Petcov:1976ff}. In contrast with the prediction in \cite{Pham:1998fq}, our results are strongly suppressed and in good agreement with the approximation done in ref.~\cite{Petcov:1976ff}, where masses and momenta of the external particles were neglected in order to deal with the loop integrals. However, as a result of kee** external momenta and masses in the computation of the dominant penguin and box diagrams- we even find slightly smaller branching fractions. Therefore, we confirm that any future observation of such processes would be an unambiguous manifestation of new physics beyond the Standard Model

We perform an effective field theory analysis of the $τ^- \to π^- π^0 ν_τ$ decays, that includes the most general interactions between Standard Model fields up to dimension six, assuming left-handed neutrinos. We constrain as much as possible the necessary Standard Model hadronic input using chiral symmetry, dispersion relations, data and asymptotic QCD properties. As a result, we set precise (competitive with low-energy and LHC measurements) bounds on (non-standard) charged current tensor interactions, finding a very small preference for their presence, according to Belle data. Belle-II near future measurements can thus be very useful in either confirming or further restricting new physics tensor current contributions to these decays. For this, the spectrum in the di-pion invariant mass turns out to be particularly promising. Distributions in the angle defined by the $τ^-$ and $π^-$ momenta can also be helpful if measured with less than $10\%$ accuracy, both for non-standard scalar and tensor interactions.

We have studied the $P\toγ^\starγ^\star$ transition form-factors ($P=π^0,η,η'$) within a chiral invariant framework that allows us to relate the three form-factors and evaluate the corresponding contributions to the muon anomalous magnetic moment $a_μ$, through pseudoscalar pole contributions. We use a chiral invariant Lagrangian to describe the interactions between the pseudo-Goldstones from the spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking and the massive meson resonances. We will consider just the lightest vector and pseudoscalar resonance multiplets. Photon interactions and flavor breaking effects are accounted for in this covariant framework. This article studies the most general corrections of order $m_P^2$ within this setting. Requiring short-distance constraints fixes most of the parameters entering the form-factors, consistent with previous determinations. The remaining ones are obtained from a fit of these form-factors to experimental measurements in the space-like ($q^2\le0$) region of photon momenta. The combination of data, chiral symmetry relations between form-factors and high-energy constraints allows us to determine with improved precision the on-shell $P$-pole contribution to the Hadronic Light-by-Light scattering of the muon anomalous magnetic moment: we obtain $a_μ^{P,HLbL}=(8.47\pm 0.16)\cdot10^{-10}$ for our best fit. This result was obtained excluding BaBar $π^0$ data, which our analysis finds in conflict with the remaining experimental inputs. This study also allows us to determine the parameters describing the $η-η'$ system in the two-mixing angle scheme and their correlations. Finally, a preliminary rough estimate of the impact of loop corrections ($1/N_C$) and higher vector multiplets (asym) enlarges the uncertainty up to $a_μ^{P,HLbL} = (8.47\pm 0.16_{\rm sta}\pm0.09_{1/N_C}{}^{+0.5}_{-0.0}{}_{\rm asym})\cdot 10^{-10}$.

Both the ENs and the users have finite-capacity cache memories, which are filled before the user demands are revealed. While a centralized placement phase is used for the ENs, which model static base stations, a decentralized placement is leveraged for the mobile users. An achievable transmission scheme is presented, which employs a combination of interference alignment, zero-forcing and interference cancellation techniques in the delivery phase, and the \textit{normalized delivery time} (NDT), which captures the worst-case latency, is analyzed.

We study the sensitivity of different observables of these decays in the framework of an effective field theory that includes the most general interactions between SM fields up to dimension six, assuming massless neutrinos. Owing to the strong suppression of the SM isospin breaking amplitudes, we find that the different observables would allow to set constraints on scalar interactions that are stronger than those coming from other low-energy observables.

Forthcoming measurements of $τ$ lepton properties at the Belle II experiment will be able to measure this decay channel for the first time. Isolating new physics contributions from the measured rates will require a careful evaluation of G-parity breaking contributions. Here we evaluate the one-loop contribution to $τ^- \to η^{(\prime)} π^- ν_τ$ decays induced by the emission of two virtual photons and its later conversion into an $η^{(\prime)}$ meson. As expected, this contribution is very small and may be relevant only for new physics searches contributing at the $10^{-4}$ level to the decay rate of $τ^- \to η^{(\prime)} π^- ν_τ$ .

A $K_T \times K_R$ cache-aided wireless interference network, in which both the transmitters and the receivers are equipped with cache memories is studied. Each user requests one file from a library of $N$ popular files. The goal is to design the cache contents without the knowledge of the particular user demands, such that all possible demand combinations can be satisfied reliably over the interference channel. The achievable sum degrees-of-freedom ($\mathrm{sDoF}$) and the normalized delivery time (NDT) are studied for centralized and decentralized network architectures, respectively. First, using a combination of interference alignment (IA), zero-forcing (ZF) and interference cancellation (IC) techniques, a novel caching and transmission scheme for centralized networks is introduced, and it is shown to improve the $\mathrm{sDoF}$ upon the state-of-the-art. Then, the NDT is studied when the content placement at the receiver caches is carried out in a decentralized manner. Our results indicate that, for this particular network architecture, caches located at the receiver side are more effective than those at the transmitter side in order to reduce the NDT.
