Analysis of a kink pair model applied to a peierls mechanism in basal and prism plane slips in sapphire deformed between 200C and 1800C
Abstract: A model based on dislocation glide controlled by the nucleation and propagation of kink pairs in a high Peierls stress crystal is revisited and modified to account for changes in dislocation densities and segment lengths with temperature and stress. It is applied to the critical resolved shear stress (CRSS) for basal and prism plane slip in sapphire (alpha-Al2O3). According to agreed-upon knowledg… ▽ More

Abstract: The plastic deformation of Cr3+ -doped a-Al2 O3 (ruby) with four distinct Cr concentrations has been studied at temperatures between 900 and 1500 $^\circ$C. The masses of the top, the bottom, the charm, the tau and the muon are given at the tree level. All the other quarks and the electron get their masses at the one loop level in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) and in two Supersymmetric Left-Right Models, one model uses triplets (SUSYLRT… ▽ More

Soft CP violation in K-meson systems
Abstract: We consider a model with soft CP violation which accommodate the CP violation in the neutral kaons even if we assume that the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa mixing matrix is real and the sources of CP violation are three complex vacuum expectation values and a trilinear coupling in the scalar potential. We show that for some reasonable values of the masses and other parameters the model allows to exp… ▽ More

Scalar Sector in the Minimal Supersymmetric 3-3-1 model
Abstract: We consider the minimal supersymmetric extension of the 3-3-1 model and we study the mass spectra in the scalar sector of this model without the anti-sextet. We show that all our lighest scalars are in agreement with the experimental limits.

Scalar sector of Supersymmetric ${SU}(3)_C\otimes {SU}(3)_L \otimes {U}(1)_N$ Model with right-handed neutrinos
Abstract: We investigate a scalar sector of the supersymmetric $ SU_C(3) \otimes SU_L(3)\otimes U_N(1)$ model with right-handed neutrinos. The mass spectra are derived. We show that only neutral Higgs sector with lepton number L=0 could have a VEV. There is no mixing between scalars having L=0 and bilepton scalars having L=2. There are six Goldstone bosons: two in neutral sector, three in pseudo-scalar se… ▽ More

Proton decay in Supersymmetric 331 Model
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to discuss what sort of baryon-number violating process arise on the supersymmetric versions of the model based on the gauge group $SU(3)_C}\otimes SU(3)_{L}\otimes U(1)_{N}$. We discuss the mechanism of baryon number violation which induces proton decay, and derive bounds on the relevant couplings.

Supersymmetric 3-3-1 model with right-handed neutrinos
Abstract: We consider the supersymmetric extension of the 3-3-1 model with right-handed neutrinos. We study the mass spectra in the scalar and pseudoscalar sectors, and for a given set of the input parameters, we find that the lightest scalar in the model has a mass of 130 GeV and the lightest pseudoscalar has mass of 5 GeV. However, this pseudoscalar decouples from the $Z^0$ at high energy scales since i… ▽ More

Left-right asymmetries, the weak mixing angle, and new physics
Abstract: The goal of this article is to outline the advantages of the measurement of left-right asymmetries in lepton-lepton ($l^{-}l^{-}\to l^{-}l^{-}$) scattering for performing precision measurements of $\sin^2 θ_W$ and the discovery of ``new physics''.

Lepton masses in a supersymmetric 3-3-1 model
Abstract: We consider the mass generation for both charginos and neutralinos in a 3-3-1 supersymmetric model. We show that R-parity breaking interactions leave the electron and one of the neutrinos massless at the tree level. However the same interactions induce masses for these particles at the 1-loop level. Unlike the similar situation in the MSSM the masses of the neutralinos are related to the masses… ▽ More
