We build on previous work on multirings (\cite{roberto2021quadratic}) that provides generalizations of the available abstract quadratic forms theories (special groups and real semigroups) to the context of multirings (\cite{marshall2006real}, \cite{ribeiro2016functorial}). Here we raise one step in this generalization, introducing the concept of pre-special hyperfields and expand a fundamental tool in quadratic forms theory to the more general multivalued setting: the K-theory. We introduce and develop the K-theory of hyperbolic hyperfields that generalize simultaneously Milnor's K-theory (\cite{milnor1970algebraick}) and Special Groups K-theory, developed by Dickmann-Miraglia (\cite{dickmann2006algebraic}). We develop some properties of this generalized K-theory, that can be seen as a free inductive graded ring, a concept introduced in \cite{dickmann1998quadratic} in order to provide a solution of Marshall's Signature Conjecture.

Our construction, a contravariant functor into the category of "pointed" pro-2-groups, is essentially given by generators and relations of profinite-2-groups. We prove that such profinite groups $\mbox{Gal}(F)$ encode the space of orders of the special group canonically associated to the hyperfield $F$ and provide a criterion to detect when $F$ is formally real or not.

Tabular data sharing serves as a common method for data exchange. However, sharing sensitive information without adequate privacy protection can compromise individual privacy. Thus, ensuring privacy-preserving data sharing is crucial. Differential privacy (DP) is regarded as the gold standard in data privacy. Despite this, current DP methods tend to generate privacy-preserving tabular datasets that often suffer from limited practical utility due to heavy perturbation and disregard for the tables' utility dynamics. Besides, there has not been much research on selective attribute release, particularly in the context of controlled partially perturbed data sharing. This has significant implications for scenarios such as cross-agency data sharing in real-world situations. We introduce OptimShare: a utility-focused, multi-criteria solution designed to perturb input datasets selectively optimized for specific real-world applications. OptimShare combines the principles of differential privacy, fuzzy logic, and probability theory to establish an integrated tool for privacy-preserving data sharing. Empirical assessments confirm that OptimShare successfully strikes a balance between better data utility and robust privacy, effectively serving various real-world problem scenarios.

In this work, we consider a drift wave test particle model to investigate the influence of the electric and magnetic field profiles on plasma transport. Test particle orbits subjected to ExB drift are numerically integrated and their transport coefficient is obtained. We conclude that sheared profiles reduce particle transport, even for high amplitude perturbations. In particular, nonmonotonic electric and magnetic fields produce shearless transport barriers, which are particularly resistant to perturbations and reduce even more the transport coefficient.

Nontwist area-preserving maps violate the twist condition along shearless invariant curves, which act as transport barriers in phase space. Recently, some plasma models have presented multiple shearless curves in phase space and these curves can break up independently. In this paper, we describe the different shearless curve breakup scenarios of the so-called biquadratic nontwist map, a recently proposed area-preserving map derived from a plasma model, that captures the essential behavior of systems with multiple shearless curves. Three different scenarios are found and their dependence on the system parameters is analyzed. The results indicate a relation between shearless curve breakup and periodic orbit reconnection-collision sequences. In addition, even after a shearless curve breakup, the remaining curves inhibit global transport.

Area-preserving nontwist maps are used to describe a broad range of physical systems. In those systems, the violation of the twist condition leads to nontwist characteristic phenomena, such as reconnection-collision sequences and shearless invariant curves that act as transport barriers in the phase space. Although reported in numerical investigations, the shearless bifurcation, i.e., the emergence scenario of multiple shearless curves, is not well understood. In this work, we derive an area-preserving map as a local approximation of a particle transport model for confined plasmas. Multiple shearless curves are found in this area-preserving map, with the same shearless bifurcation scenario numerically observed in the original model. Due to its symmetry properties and simple functional form, this map is proposed as a model to study shearless bifurcations.

In tokamak-confined plasmas, particle transport can be reduced by modifying the radial electric field. In this paper, we investigate the influence of both a well-like and a hill-like shaped radial electric field profile on the creation of shearless transport barriers (STBs) at the plasma edge, which are a type of barrier that can prevent chaotic transport and are related to the presence of extreme values in the rotation number profile. For that, we apply an ExB drift model to describe test particle orbits in large aspect-ratio tokamaks. We show how these barriers depend on the electrostatic fluctuation amplitudes and on the width and depth (height) of the radial electric field well-like (hill-like) profile. We find that, as the depth (height) increases, the STB at the plasma edge becomes more resistant to fluctuations, enabling access to an improved confinement regime that prevents chaotic transport. We also present parameter spaces with the radial electric field parameters, indicating the STB existence for several electric field configurations at the plasma edge, for which we obtain a fractal structure at the barrier/non-barrier frontier, typical of quasi-integrable Hamiltonian systems.

Some internal transport barriers in tokamaks have been related to the vicinity of extrema of the plasma equilibrium profiles. This effect is numerically investigated by considering the guiding-center trajectories of plasma particles undergoing ExB drift motion, considering that the electric field has a stationary nonmonotonic radial profile and an electrostatic fluctuation. In addition, the equilibrium configuration has a nonmonotonic safety factor profile. The numerical integration of the equations of motion yields a symplectic map with shearless barriers. By changing the parameters of the safety factor profile, the appearance, and breakup of these shearless curves are observed. The successive shearless curves breakup and recovering is explained using concepts from bifurcation theory. We also present bifurcation sequences associated to the creation of multiple shearless curves. Physical consequences of scenarios with multiple shearless curves are discussed.

Some general algebraic study has been made on multialgebras: see for instance \cite{golzio2018brief} and \cite{pelea2006multialgebras}. More recently the notion of multiring have obtained more attention: a multiring is a lax hyperring, satisfying an weak distributive law, but hyperfields and multifields coincide. Multirings has been studied for applications in abstract quadratic forms theory (\cite{marshall2006real}, \cite{worytkiewiczwitt2020witt}) and tropical geometry (\cite{jun2015algebraic}); a more detailed account of variants of concept of polynomials over hyperrings is even more recent (\cite{jun2015algebraic}, \cite{ameri2019superring}). In the present work we start a model-theoretic oriented analysis of multialgebras introducing the class of algebraically closed and providing variant proof of quantifier elimination flavor, based on new results on superring of polynomials (\cite{ameri2019superring}).

Barriers have been identified in magnetically confined plasmas reducing the particle transport and improving the confinement. One of them, the primary shearless barriers are associated to extrema of non-monotonic plasma profiles. Previously, we identified these barriers in a model described by a map that allows the integration of charged particles motion in drift waves for a long time scale. In this work, we show how the existence of these robust barriers depends on the fluctuation amplitude and on the electric shear. Moreover, we also find control parameter intervals for which these primary barriers onset and break-up are recurrent. Another noticeable feature, in these transitions, is the appearance of a layer of particle trajectory stickiness after the shearless barrier break-up or before its onset. Besides the mentioned primary barriers, we also observe sequences of secondary shearless barriers, not reported before, created and destroyed by a sequence of bifurcations as the main control parameters, the fluctuation amplitude and electric shear, are varied. Furthermore, in these bifurcations, we also find hitherto unknown double and triple secondary shearless barriers which constitute a noticeable obstacle to the chaotic transport.

The triggering of the internal transport barriers and their dependence on the plasma profiles is a key nonlinear dynamics problem still under investigation. We consider the onset of shearless invariant curves inside the plasma which create internal transport barriers. A non-integrable drift-kinetic model is used to describe particle transport driven by drift waves and to investigate these shearless barriers onset in tokamaks. We show that for some currently observed plasma profiles shearless particle transport barriers can be triggered by properly modifying the electric field profile and the influence of non-resonant modes in the barriers onset. In particular, we show that a broken barrier can be restored by enhancing non-resonant modes.

We analyze a Hamiltonian model with five wire loops that delineates the magnetic surfaces of the tokamak ITER, including a similar safety factor profile and the X-point related to the presence of a poloidal divertor. Non-axisymmetric magnetic perturbations are added by external coils, similar to the correction coils installed at the tokamak DIII-D and those that will be installed at ITER. To show the influence of magnetic perturbations on the field line escape, we integrate numerically the field line differential equations and obtain the footprints and deposition patterns on the divertor plate. Moreover, we show that the homoclinic tangle describes the deposition patterns in the divertor plate, agreeing with results observed in sophisticated simulation codes. Additionally, we show that while chaotic lines escape to the divertor plates, some of them are trapped, for many toroidal turns, in complex structures around magnetic islands, embedded in the chaotic region, giving rise to the so called stickiness effect characteristic of chaotic Hamiltonian systems. Finally, we introduce a random collisional term to the field line map** to investigate stickiness alterations due to particle collisions. Within this model, we conclude that, even reduced by collisions, stickiness still influences the field line transport.

We aim to characterize the distribution and composition of circumstellar material around young massive stars, and to investigate exactly which physical structures in these objects are probed by long-baseline mid-infrared interferometric observations. We used the two-telescope interferometric instrument MIDI of the Very Large Telescope Interferometer of the European Southern Observatory to observe a sample of 24 intermediate- and high-mass young stellar objects in the N band (8-13 micron). We had successful fringe detections for 20 objects, and present spectrally-resolved correlated fluxes and visibility levels for projected baselines of up to 128 m. We fit the visibilities with geometric models to derive the sizes of the emitting regions, as well as the orientation and elongation of the circumstellar material. Fourteen objects in the sample show the 10 micron silicate feature in absorption in the total and correlated flux spectra. For 13 of these objects, we were able to fit the correlated flux spectra with a simple absorption model, allowing us to constrain the composition and absorptive properties of the circumstellar material. Nearly all of the massive young stellar objects observed show significant deviations from spherical symmetry at mid-infrared wavelengths. In general, the mid-infrared emission can trace both disks and outflows, and in many cases it may be difficult to disentangle these components on the basis of interferometric data alone, because of the sparse spatial frequency coverage normally provided by current long-baseline interferometers. For the majority of the objects in this sample, the absorption occurs on spatial scales larger than those probed by MIDI. Finally, the physical extent of the mid-infrared emission around these sources is correlated with the total luminosity, albeit with significant scatter.

In this work we study the ergodic magnetic limiters (EML) action on field lines from the point of view of a chaotic scattering process, considering the so-called exit basins, or sets of points in the chaotic region which originate field lines hitting the wall in some specified region. We divide the tokamak wall into three areas of equal poloidal angular length, corresponding to different exits for a chaotic field line. In order to obtain the exit basins we used a fine grid chosen inside a small rectangle which comprises a representative part of the chaotic region near the wall. Thus, exit basins were obtained for a tokamak wall with reversed magnetic shear. The nontwist map** describes the perturbed magnetic field lines with two twin chains of magnetic islands and chaotic field lines in their vicinity. For a perturbing resonant magnetic field with a fixed helicity, the observed escape pattern changes with the perturbation intensity.
