Stable vortex lattices are basic dynamical patterns which have been demonstrated in physical systems including superconductor physics, Bose-Einstein condensates, hydrodynamics and optics. Vortex-antivortex (VAV) ensembles can be produced, self-organizing into the respective polar lattices. However, these structures are in general highly unstable due to the strong VAV attraction. Here, we demonstrate that multiple optical VAV clusters nested in the propagating coherent field can crystallize into patterns which preserve their lattice structures over distance up to several Rayleigh lengths. To explain this phenomenon, we present a model for effective interactions between the vortices and antivortices at different lattice sites. The observed VAV crystallization is a consequence of the globally balanced VAV couplings. As the crystallization does not require the presence of nonlinearities and appears in free space, it may find applications to high-capacity optical communications and multiparticle manipulations. Our findings suggest possibilities for constructing VAV complexes through the orbit-orbit couplings, which differs from the extensively studied spin-orbit couplings.

The branching fractions of the two decays $J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η(η\to γγ)$ and $J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η(η\to π^+ π^- π^0)$ are measured individually to be $\mathcal{B}(J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η(η\to γγ)) = (1.480 \pm 0.001 \pm 0.024)\times\,10^{-3}$ and $\mathcal{B}(J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η(η\to π^+ π^- π^0)) = (1.557 \pm 0.003 \pm 0.038)\times\,10^{-3}$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. Both results are compatible within their uncorrelated systematic uncertainties. The combined result is $\mathcal{B}(J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η)=(1.495 \pm 0.001 \pm 0.023)\times\,10^{-3}$ where the first uncertainty is the combined statistical uncertainty and the second one the combined systematic uncertainty of both analyses, incorporating correlations between them. In addition, the $p \bar{p}$ threshold region is investigated for a potential threshold enhancement, and no evidence for one is observed.

Ultra-high-resolution image generation poses great challenges, such as increased semantic planning complexity and detail synthesis difficulties, alongside substantial training resource demands. We present UltraPixel, a novel architecture utilizing cascade diffusion models to generate high-quality images at multiple resolutions (\textit{e.g.}, 1K to 6K) within a single model, while maintaining computational efficiency. UltraPixel leverages semantics-rich representations of lower-resolution images in the later denoising stage to guide the whole generation of highly detailed high-resolution images, significantly reducing complexity. Furthermore, we introduce implicit neural representations for continuous upsampling and scale-aware normalization layers adaptable to various resolutions. Notably, both low- and high-resolution processes are performed in the most compact space, sharing the majority of parameters with less than 3$\%$ additional parameters for high-resolution outputs, largely enhancing training and inference efficiency. Our model achieves fast training with reduced data requirements, producing photo-realistic high-resolution images and demonstrating state-of-the-art performance in extensive experiments.

By considering a single lossy three-dimensional cavity mode and using a quasinormal mode expansion for the photonic medium, we show that the frequency-dependence of the coupling between the cavity and its reservoir is dependent on both the cavity contents and the gauge used. For the case of coupling to a single quantum dipole, we identify the form of the spectral density, revealing a $\sim ω^{-1}$ prefactor scaling, as well as a spatially-dependent contribution. We thus establish the correct quantum form for the cavity-reservoir interaction and show its significant impact on broadband strong coupling.

The future of computing systems is inevitably embracing a disaggregated and composable pattern: from clusters of computers to pools of resources that can be dynamically combined together and tailored around applications requirements. Transitioning to this new paradigm requires ground-breaking research, ranging from new hardware architectures up to new models and abstractions at all levels of the software stack. Recent hardware advancements in CPU and interconnection technologies, enabled the possibility of disaggregating peripherals and system memory. The memory system heterogeneity is further increasing, composability and disaggregation are beneficial to increase memory capacity and improve memory utilization in a cost-effective way, and reduce total cost of ownership. Heterogeneous and Composable Disaggregated Systems (HCDS) provide a system design approach for reducing the imbalance between workloads resource requirements and the static availability of resources in a computing system. The HCDS workshop aims at exploring the novel research ideas around composable disaggregated systems and their integration with operating systems and software runtimes to maximize the benefit perceived from user workloads.

Recent approaches representing 3D objects and scenes using Gaussian splats show increased rendering speed across a variety of platforms and devices. While rendering such representations is indeed extremely efficient, storing and transmitting them is often prohibitively expensive. To represent large-scale scenes, one often needs to store millions of 3D Gaussians, occupying gigabytes of disk space. This poses a very practical limitation, prohibiting widespread adoption.Several solutions have been proposed to strike a balance between disk size and rendering quality, noticeably reducing the visual quality. In this work, we propose a new representation that dramatically reduces the hard drive footprint while featuring similar or improved quality when compared to the standard 3D Gaussian splats. When compared to other compact solutions, ours offers higher quality renderings with significantly reduced storage, being able to efficiently run on a mobile device in real-time. Our key observation is that nearby points in the scene can share similar representations. Hence, only a small ratio of 3D points needs to be stored. We introduce an approach to identify such points which are called parent points. The discarded points called children points along with attributes can be efficiently predicted by tiny MLPs.

The classical stability margin analysis based on the linearized model is widely used in practice even in nonlinear systems. Although linear analysis techniques are relatively standard and have simple implementation structures, they are prone to misbehavior and failure when the system is performing an off-nominal operation. To avoid the drawbacks and exploit the advantages of linear analysis methods and frequency-domain stability margin analysis while tackling system nonlinearity, a state-compensation-linearization-based stability margin analysis method is studied in the paper. Based on the state-compensation-linearization-based stabilizing control, the definition and measurement of the stability margin are given. The l2 gain margin and l2 time-delay margin for the closed-loop nonlinear system with state-compensation-linearization-based stabilizing control are defined and derived approximatively by the small-gain theorem in theory. The stability margin measurement can be carried out by the frequency-sweep method in practice. The proposed method is a data-driven method for obtaining the stability margin of nonlinear systems, which is practical and can be applied to practical systems directly. Finally, three numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Text-to-image (T2I) diffusion models have shown exceptional capabilities in generating images that closely correspond to textual prompts. However, the advancement of T2I diffusion models presents significant risks, as the models could be exploited for malicious purposes, such as generating images with violence or nudity, or creating unauthorized portraits of public figures in inappropriate contexts. To mitigate these risks, concept removal methods have been proposed. These methods aim to modify diffusion models to prevent the generation of malicious and unwanted concepts. Despite these efforts, existing research faces several challenges: (1) a lack of consistent comparisons on a comprehensive dataset, (2) ineffective prompts in harmful and nudity concepts, (3) overlooked evaluation of the ability to generate the benign part within prompts containing malicious concepts. To address these gaps, we propose to benchmark the concept removal methods by introducing a new dataset, Six-CD, along with a novel evaluation metric. In this benchmark, we conduct a thorough evaluation of concept removals, with the experimental observations and discussions offering valuable insights in the field.

Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) enhances the outputs of language models by integrating relevant information retrieved from external knowledge sources. However, when the retrieval process involves private data, RAG systems may face severe privacy risks, potentially leading to the leakage of sensitive information. To address this issue, we propose using synthetic data as a privacy-preserving alternative for the retrieval data. We propose SAGE, a novel two-stage synthetic data generation paradigm. In the stage-1, we employ an attribute-based extraction and generation approach to preserve key contextual information from the original data. In the stage-2, we further enhance the privacy properties of the synthetic data through an agent-based iterative refinement process. Extensive experiments demonstrate that using our synthetic data as the retrieval context achieves comparable performance to using the original data while substantially reducing privacy risks. Our work takes the first step towards investigating the possibility of generating high-utility and privacy-preserving synthetic data for RAG, opening up new opportunities for the safe application of RAG systems in various domains.

Generative models, especially text-to-image diffusion models, have significantly advanced in their ability to generate images, benefiting from enhanced architectures, increased computational power, and large-scale datasets. While the datasets play an important role, their protection has remained as an unsolved issue. Current protection strategies, such as watermarks and membership inference, are either in high poison rate which is detrimental to image quality or suffer from low accuracy and robustness. In this work, we introduce a novel approach, EnTruth, which Enhances Traceability of unauthorized dataset usage utilizing template memorization. By strategically incorporating the template memorization, EnTruth can trigger the specific behavior in unauthorized models as the evidence of infringement. Our method is the first to investigate the positive application of memorization and use it for copyright protection, which turns a curse into a blessing and offers a pioneering perspective for unauthorized usage detection in generative models. Comprehensive experiments are provided to demonstrate its effectiveness in terms of data-alteration rate, accuracy, robustness and generation quality.

The simulations are initialized with a force-free current sheet equilibrium under various intensities of strong guide fields. The quadrupolar structures of the out-of-plane magnetic field and asymmetric structures of density are found to become narrower in space as the guide field increases. Electron velocities are considerably larger than ion velocities, and the motion of both species is notably affected by the strength of guide fields. Similarly to previous experiments studies, electron temperature anisotropy along separatrices is observed, which is found to be mainly caused by the variations of parallel temperature. Both regions of anisotropy and parallel temperature increase/decrease along separatrices become thinner with increasing guide fields. Besides, we find a transition from a quadrupolar to a six-polar to an eight-polar structure in temperature anisotropy and parallel temperature as the guide field intensifies. Non-Maxwellian electron velocity distribution functions (EVDFs) at different locations in the three simulations are observed. Our results show that parallel electron velocity varies notably with different guide field intensities and strong parallel electron heat flux is observed.

Learning predictive world models is essential for enhancing the planning capabilities of reinforcement learning agents. Notably, the MuZero-style algorithms, based on the value equivalence principle and Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS), have achieved superhuman performance in various domains. However, in environments that require capturing long-term dependencies, MuZero's performance deteriorates rapidly. We identify that this is partially due to the \textit{entanglement} of latent representations with historical information, which results in incompatibility with the auxiliary self-supervised state regularization. To overcome this limitation, we present \textit{UniZero}, a novel approach that \textit{disentangles} latent states from implicit latent history using a transformer-based latent world model. By concurrently predicting latent dynamics and decision-oriented quantities conditioned on the learned latent history, UniZero enables joint optimization of the long-horizon world model and policy, facilitating broader and more efficient planning in latent space. We demonstrate that UniZero, even with single-frame inputs, matches or surpasses the performance of MuZero-style algorithms on the Atari 100k benchmark. Furthermore, it significantly outperforms prior baselines in benchmarks that require long-term memory. Lastly, we validate the effectiveness and scalability of our design choices through extensive ablation studies, visual analyses, and multi-task learning results. The code is available at \textcolor{magenta}{https://github.com/opendilab/LightZero}.

We present L4GM, the first 4D Large Reconstruction Model that produces animated objects from a single-view video input -- in a single feed-forward pass that takes only a second. Key to our success is a novel dataset of multiview videos containing curated, rendered animated objects from Objaverse. This dataset depicts 44K diverse objects with 110K animations rendered in 48 viewpoints, resulting in 12M videos with a total of 300M frames. We keep our L4GM simple for scalability and build directly on top of LGM, a pretrained 3D Large Reconstruction Model that outputs 3D Gaussian ellipsoids from multiview image input. L4GM outputs a per-frame 3D Gaussian Splatting representation from video frames sampled at a low fps and then upsamples the representation to a higher fps to achieve temporal smoothness. We add temporal self-attention layers to the base LGM to help it learn consistency across time, and utilize a per-timestep multiview rendering loss to train the model. The representation is upsampled to a higher framerate by training an interpolation model which produces intermediate 3D Gaussian representations. We showcase that L4GM that is only trained on synthetic data generalizes extremely well on in-the-wild videos, producing high quality animated 3D assets.

The branching fraction of the decay $η_{c}(1S) \to 2(π^{+}π^{-})η$, which is found to have a strong dependence on the interference pattern between $η_c(1S)$ and non-$η_c(1S)$ processes, is measured in both destructive and constructive interference scenarios for the first time. The mass and width of the $η_{c}(1S)$ are measured to be $M=(2984.14 \pm 0.13 \pm 0.38)$ MeV/$c^{2}$ and $Γ=(28.82 \pm 0.11 \pm 0.82)$ MeV, respectively. Clear signals for the decays of the $χ_{cJ}(J=0,1,2)$ and the $η_{c}(2S)$ to $2(π^{+}π^{-})η$ are also observed for the first time, and the corresponding branching fractions are measured. The ratio of the branching fractions between the $η_{c}(2S)$ and $η_{c}(1S)$ decays is significantly lower than the theoretical prediction, which might suggest different dynamics in their decays.

This paper investigates a movable-antenna (MA) array empowered integrated sensing and communications (ISAC) over low-altitude platform (LAP) system to support low-altitude economy (LAE) applications. In the considered system, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is dispatched to hover in the air, working as the UAV-enabled LAP (ULAP) to provide information transmission and sensing simultaneously for LAE applications. To improve the throughput capacity, we formulate a data rate maximization problem by jointly optimizing the transmit information and sensing beamforming and the antenna positions of the MA array. Since the data rate maximization problem is non-convex with highly coupled variables, we propose an efficient alternation optimization based algorithm, which iteratively optimizes parts of the variables while fixing others. Numerical results show the superiority of the proposed MA array-based scheme in terms of the achievable data rate and beamforming gain compared with two benchmark schemes.

Existing image super-resolution (SR) techniques often fail to generalize effectively in complex real-world settings due to the significant divergence between training data and practical scenarios. To address this challenge, previous efforts have either manually simulated intricate physical-based degradations or utilized learning-based techniques, yet these approaches remain inadequate for producing large-scale, realistic, and diverse data simultaneously. In this paper, we introduce a novel Realistic Decoupled Data Generator (RealDGen), an unsupervised learning data generation framework designed for real-world super-resolution. We meticulously develop content and degradation extraction strategies, which are integrated into a novel content-degradation decoupled diffusion model to create realistic low-resolution images from unpaired real LR and HR images. Extensive experiments demonstrate that RealDGen excels in generating large-scale, high-quality paired data that mirrors real-world degradations, significantly advancing the performance of popular SR models on various real-world benchmarks.

Haze contamination in hyperspectral remote sensing images (HSI) can lead to spatial visibility degradation and spectral distortion. Haze in HSI exhibits spatial irregularity and inhomogeneous spectral distribution, with few dehazing networks available. Current CNN and Transformer-based dehazing methods fail to balance global scene recovery, local detail retention, and computational efficiency. Inspired by the ability of Mamba to model long-range dependencies with linear complexity, we explore its potential for HSI dehazing and propose the first HSI Dehazing Mamba (HDMba) network. Specifically, we design a novel window selective scan module (WSSM) that captures local dependencies within windows and global correlations between windows by partitioning them. This approach improves the ability of conventional Mamba in local feature extraction. By modeling the local and global spectral-spatial information flow, we achieve a comprehensive analysis of hazy regions. The DehazeMamba layer (DML), constructed by WSSM, and residual DehazeMamba (RDM) blocks, composed of DMLs, are the core components of the HDMba framework. These components effectively characterize the complex distribution of haze in HSIs, aiding in scene reconstruction and dehazing. Experimental results on the Gaofen-5 HSI dataset demonstrate that HDMba outperforms other state-of-the-art methods in dehazing performance. The code will be available at https://github.com/RsAI-lab/HDMba.

Diffusion-based image generation models have achieved great success in recent years by showing the capability of synthesizing high-quality content. However, these models contain a huge number of parameters, resulting in a significantly large model size. Saving and transferring them is a major bottleneck for various applications, especially those running on resource-constrained devices. In this work, we develop a novel weight quantization method that quantizes the UNet from Stable Diffusion v1.5 to 1.99 bits, achieving a model with 7.9X smaller size while exhibiting even better generation quality than the original one. Our approach includes several novel techniques, such as assigning optimal bits to each layer, initializing the quantized model for better performance, and improving the training strategy to dramatically reduce quantization error. Furthermore, we extensively evaluate our quantized model across various benchmark datasets and through human evaluation to demonstrate its superior generation quality.

Diffusion-based video generation models have demonstrated remarkable success in obtaining high-fidelity videos through the iterative denoising process. However, these models require multiple denoising steps during sampling, resulting in high computational costs. In this work, we propose a novel approach to obtain single-step video generation models by leveraging adversarial training to fine-tune pre-trained video diffusion models. We show that, through the adversarial training, the multi-steps video diffusion model, i.e., Stable Video Diffusion (SVD), can be trained to perform single forward pass to synthesize high-quality videos, capturing both temporal and spatial dependencies in the video data. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method achieves competitive generation quality of synthesized videos with significantly reduced computational overhead for the denoising process (i.e., around $23\times$ speedup compared with SVD and $6\times$ speedup compared with existing works, with even better generation quality), paving the way for real-time video synthesis and editing. Driven by fundamental thermodynamic efficiency considerations, an emerging trend in the energy and propulsion systems is that the working fluid operates at a pressure above the critical pressure. Energy transport is thus accompanied by dramatic and strongly nonlinear variations of thermophysical properties, which cause abnormal heat transfer behavior and non-ideal gas effects. This situation raises a crucial challenge for the heat exchanger and turbomachinery design, overall energy and exergy efficiency. We aim to provide a multi-scale overview of the flow and thermal behavior of fluid above the critical point: microscopic physics and macroscopic transport. Microscopic physics, i.e. near-critical thermophysical properties, phase transition and fluid dynamics, are introduced. A particular focus will be on the supercritical pseudo boiling process, which is a generalization of classical liquid-vapor phase transitions to non-equilibrium supercritical states. These new perspectives lead to a revised view of the state space. Further, recent results demonstrated the possibility of stable supercritical fluid interfaces without surface tension. On the macroscale, recent progress on the modeling of turbulent flow and convective heat transfer of supercritical fluids are summarized. Direct numerical simulation is able to offer insights into the physics of thermal fluids. We start with a description of fundamental fluid mechanics problems related to supercritical fluids. In addition, the heat transfer deterioration in supercritical fluids is found to be closely connected to the flow relaminarization by the non-uniform body-force. Finally, various modeling approaches such as recently developed advanced Reynolds-averaged turbulence modeling as well as machine-learning methods are summarized.

Accurately simulating non-Markovian quantum dynamics in system-bath coupled problems remains challenging. In this work, we present a novel memory truncation scheme for the iterative Quasi-Adiabatic Propagator Path Integral (iQuAPI) method to improve accuracy. Conventional memory truncation in iQuAPI discards all influence functional beyond a certain time interval, which is not effective for problems with a long memory time. Our proposed scheme selectively retains the most significant parts of the influence functional using the density matrix renormalization group algorithm. We validate the effectiveness of our scheme through simulations of the spin-boson model across various parameter sets, demonstrating faster convergence and improved accuracy compared to the conventional scheme. Our findings suggest that the new memory truncation scheme significantly advances the capabilities of iQuAPI for problems with a long memory time.

We measure the absolute branching fractions of semileptonic $D^+_s$ decays via the $e^+e^-\to D_s^{*+}D_s^{*-}$ process using $e^+e^-$ collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $10.64~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ collected by the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.237 and 4.699 GeV. The branching fractions are ${\mathcal B}(D_s^+\to ηe^+ν_e)=(2.35\pm0.11_{\rm stat}\pm 0.10_{\rm syst})\%,$ ${\mathcal
B}(D_s^+\to η^\prime e^+ν_e)=(0.82\pm0.09_{\rm stat}\pm 0.04_{\rm syst})\%,$ ${\mathcal B}(D_s^+\to φe^+ν_e)=(2.21\pm0.16_{\rm stat}\pm 0.11_{\rm syst})\%,$ ${\mathcal B}(D_s^+\to f_0(980) e^+ν_e,f_0(980)\toπ^+π^-)=(0.15\pm0.02_{\rm stat}\pm 0.01_{\rm syst})\%,$ ${\mathcal
B}(D_s^+\to K^0 e^+ν_e)=(0.24\pm0.04_{\rm stat}\pm 0.01_{\rm syst})\%,$ and ${\mathcal B}(D_s^+\to K^{*0} e^+ν_e)=(0.19\pm0.03_{\rm stat}\pm 0.01_{\rm syst})\%.$ These results are consistent with those measured via the $e^+e^-\to D_s^{*\pm}D_s^{\mp}$ process by BESIII and CLEO. The hadronic transition form factors $D^+_s\to ηe^+ν_e$, $D^+_s\to η^\prime e^+ν_e$, and $D^+_s\to K^0 e^+ν_e$ at four-momentum transfer squared $q^2$ = 0 are determined to be $f^η_+(0) = 0.482 \pm 0.011_{\rm stat} \pm 0.009_{\rm syst}\pm0.004_{\rm input},$ $f^{η^{\prime}}_+(0) = 0.562 \pm 0.031_{\rm stat} \pm 0.014_{\rm

This Letter reports the first measurement of the oscillation amplitude and frequency of reactor antineutrinos at Daya Bay via neutron capture on hydrogen using 1958 days of data. With over 3.6 million signal candidates, an optimized candidate selection, improved treatment of backgrounds and efficiencies, refined energy calibration, and an energy response model for the capture-on-hydrogen sensitive region, the relative $\overlineν_{e}$ rates and energy spectra variation among the near and far detectors gives $\mathrm{sin}^22θ_{13} = 0.0759_{-0.0049}^{+0.0050}$ and $Δm^2_{32} = (2.72^{+0.14}_{-0.15})\times10^{-3}$ eV$^2$ assuming the normal neutrino mass ordering, and $Δm^2_{32} = (-2.83^{+0.15}_{-0.14})\times10^{-3}$ eV$^2$ for the inverted neutrino mass ordering. This estimate of $\sin^2 2θ_{13}$ is consistent with and essentially independent from the one obtained using the capture-on-gadolinium sample at Daya Bay. The combination of these two results yields $\mathrm{sin}^22θ_{13}= 0.0833\pm0.0022$, which represents an 8% relative improvement in precision regarding the Daya Bay full 3158-day capture-on-gadolinium result.

The linearization method builds a bridge from mature methods for linear systems to nonlinear systems and has been widely used in various areas. There are currently two main linearization methods: Jacobian linearization and feedback linearization. However, the Jacobian linearization method has approximate and local properties, and the feedback linearization method has a singularity problem and loses the physical meaning of the obtained states. Thus, as a kind of complementation, a new linearization method named state compensation linearization is proposed in the paper. Their differences, advantages, and disadvantages are discussed in detail. Based on the state compensation linearization, a state-compensation-linearization-based control framework is proposed for a class of nonlinear systems. Under the new framework, the original problem can be simplified. The framework also allows different control methods, especially those only applicable to linear systems, to be incorporated. Three illustrative examples are also given to show the process and effectiveness of the proposed linearization method and control framework.

Recently, movable antenna (MA) array becomes a promising technology for improving the communication quality in wireless communication systems. In this letter, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) enabled multi-user multi-input-single-output system enhanced by the MA array is investigated. To enhance the throughput capacity, we aim to maximize the achievable data rate by jointly optimizing the transmit beamforming, the UAV trajectory, and the positions of the MA array antennas. The formulated data rate maximization problem is a highly coupled non-convex problem, for which an alternating optimization based algorithm is proposed to get a sub-optimal solution. Numerical results have demonstrated the performance gain of the proposed method compared with conventional method with fixed-position antenna array.

Wood-leaf classification is an essential and fundamental prerequisite in the analysis and estimation of forest attributes from terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) point clouds, including critical measurements such as diameter at breast height(DBH),above-ground biomass(AGB),wood volume. To address this,we introduce the Wood-Leaf Classification Network(WLC-Net),a deep learning model derived from PointNet++,designed to differentiate between wood and leaf points within tree point clouds.WLC-Net enhances classification accuracy, completeness, and speed by incorporating linearity as an inherent feature, refining the input-output framework, and optimizing the centroid sampling technique.WLC-Net was trained and assessed using three distinct tree species datasets, comprising a total of 102 individual tree point clouds:21 Chinese ash trees,21 willow trees, and 60 tropical trees. For comparative evaluation, five alternative methods, including PointNet++,DGCNN,Krishna Moorthy's method,LeWoS, and Sun's method, were also applied to these datasets. The classification accuracy of all six methods was quantified using three metrics:overall accuracy(OA),mean Intersection over Union(mIoU),and F1-score.Across all three datasets,WLC-Net demonstrated superior performance, achieving OA scores of 0.9778, 0.9712, and 0.9508;mIoU scores of 0.9761, 0.9693,and 0.9141;and F1-scores of 0.8628, 0.7938,and 0.9019,respectively.The time costs of WLC-Net were also recorded to evaluate the efficiency. The average processing time was 102.74s per million points for WLC-Net.In terms of visual inspect, accuracy evaluation and efficiency evaluation, the results suggest that WLC-Net presents a promising approach for wood-leaf classification, distinguished by its high accuracy. In addition,WLC-Net also exhibits strong applicability across various tree point clouds and holds promise for further optimization.

The invisible decay includes two decay modes: $ n \rightarrow { inv} $ and $ nn \rightarrow { inv} $. The invisible decays of $s$-shell neutrons in $^{12}{\rm C}$ will leave a highly excited residual nucleus. Subsequently, some de-excitation modes of the excited residual nuclei can produce a time- and space-correlated triple coincidence signal in the JUNO detector. Based on a full Monte Carlo simulation informed with the latest available data, we estimate all backgrounds, including inverse beta decay events of the reactor antineutrino $\barν_e$, natural radioactivity, cosmogenic isotopes and neutral current interactions of atmospheric neutrinos. Pulse shape discrimination and multivariate analysis techniques are employed to further suppress backgrounds. With two years of exposure, JUNO is expected to give an order of magnitude improvement compared to the current best limits. After 10 years of data taking, the JUNO expected sensitivities at a 90% confidence level are $τ/B( n \rightarrow { inv} ) > 5.0 \times 10^{31} \, {\rm yr}$ and $τ/B( nn \rightarrow { inv} ) > 1.4 \times 10^{32} \, {\rm yr}$.

In this paper, we study offline-to-online Imitation Learning (IL) that pretrains an imitation policy from static demonstration data, followed by fast finetuning with minimal environmental interaction. We find the naïve combination of existing offline IL and online IL methods tends to behave poorly in this context, because the initial discriminator (often used in online IL) operates randomly and discordantly against the policy initialization, leading to misguided policy optimization and $\textit{unlearning}$ of pretraining knowledge. To overcome this challenge, we propose a principled offline-to-online IL method, named $\texttt{OLLIE}$, that simultaneously learns a near-expert policy initialization along with an $\textit{aligned discriminator initialization}$, which can be seamlessly integrated into online IL, achieving smooth and fast finetuning. Empirically, $\texttt{OLLIE}$ consistently and significantly outperforms the baseline methods in $\textbf{20}$ challenging tasks, from continuous control to vision-based domains, in terms of performance, demonstration efficiency, and convergence speed. This work may serve as a foundation for further exploration of pretraining and finetuning in the context of IL.

Offline Imitation Learning (IL) with imperfect demonstrations has garnered increasing attention owing to the scarcity of expert data in many real-world domains. A fundamental problem in this scenario is how to extract positive behaviors from noisy data. In general, current approaches to the problem select data building on state-action similarity to given expert demonstrations, neglecting precious information in (potentially abundant) $\textit{diverse}$ state-actions that deviate from expert ones. In this paper, we introduce a simple yet effective data selection method that identifies positive behaviors based on their resultant states -- a more informative criterion enabling explicit utilization of dynamics information and effective extraction of both expert and beneficial diverse behaviors. Further, we devise a lightweight behavior cloning algorithm capable of leveraging the expert and selected data correctly. In the experiments, we evaluate our method on a suite of complex and high-dimensional offline IL benchmarks, including continuous-control and vision-based tasks. The results demonstrate that our method achieves state-of-the-art performance, outperforming existing methods on $\textbf{20/21}$ benchmarks, typically by $\textbf{2-5x}$, while maintaining a comparable runtime to Behavior Cloning ($\texttt{BC}$).

Federated Reinforcement Learning (FRL) has been deemed as a promising solution for intelligent decision-making in the era of Artificial Internet of Things. However, existing FRL approaches often entail repeated interactions with the environment during local updating, which can be prohibitively expensive or even infeasible in many real-world domains. To overcome this challenge, this paper proposes a novel offline federated policy optimization algorithm, named $\texttt{DRPO}$, which enables distributed agents to collaboratively learn a decision policy only from private and static data without further environmental interactions. $\texttt{DRPO}$ leverages dual regularization, incorporating both the local behavioral policy and the global aggregated policy, to judiciously cope with the intrinsic two-tier distributional shifts in offline FRL. Theoretical analysis characterizes the impact of the dual regularization on performance, demonstrating that by achieving the right balance thereof, $\texttt{DRPO}$ can effectively counteract distributional shifts and ensure strict policy improvement in each federative learning round. Extensive experiments validate the significant performance gains of $\texttt{DRPO}$ over baseline methods.

In this paper, we introduce a new FRL algorithm, named $\texttt{MFPO}$, that utilizes momentum, importance sampling, and additional server-side adjustment to control the shift of stochastic policy gradients and enhance the efficiency of data utilization. We prove that by proper selection of momentum parameters and interaction frequency, $\texttt{MFPO}$ can achieve $\tilde{\mathcal{O}}(H N^{-1}ε^{-3/2})$ and $\tilde{\mathcal{O}}(ε^{-1})$ interaction and communication complexities ($N$ represents the number of agents), where the interaction complexity achieves linear speedup with the number of agents, and the communication complexity aligns the best achievable of existing first-order FL algorithms. Recent advancements in bird's eye view (BEV) representations have shown remarkable promise for in-vehicle 3D perception. However, while these methods have achieved impressive results on standard benchmarks, their robustness in varied conditions remains insufficiently assessed. In this study, we present RoboBEV, an extensive benchmark suite designed to evaluate the resilience of BEV algorithms. This suite incorporates a diverse set of camera corruption types, each examined over three severity levels. Our benchmarks also consider the impact of complete sensor failures that occur when using multi-modal models. Through RoboBEV, we assess 33 state-of-the-art BEV-based perception models spanning tasks like detection, map segmentation, depth estimation, and occupancy prediction. Our analyses reveal a noticeable correlation between the model's performance on in-distribution datasets and its resilience to out-of-distribution challenges. Our experimental results also underline the efficacy of strategies like pre-training and depth-free BEV transformations in enhancing robustness against out-of-distribution data. Furthermore, we observe that leveraging extensive temporal information significantly improves the model's robustness. Based on our observations, we design an effective robustness enhancement strategy based on the CLIP model. The insights from this study pave the way for the development of future BEV models that seamlessly combine accuracy with real-world robustness.

Topological exciton-polaritons are a burgeoning class of topological photonic systems distinguished by their hybrid nature as part-light, part-matter quasiparticles. Their further control over novel valley degree of freedom (DOF) has offered considerable potential for develo** active topological optical devices towards information processing. However, the experimental demonstration of propagating topological exciton-polaritons with valley DOF remains elusive at room temperature. Here, employing a two-dimensional (2D) valley-Hall perovskite lattice, we report the experimental observation of valley-polarized topological exciton-polaritons and their valley-dependent propagations at room temperature. The 2D valley-Hall perovskite lattice consists of two mutually inverted honeycomb lattices with broken inversion symmetry. By measuring their band structure with angle-resolved photoluminescence spectra, we experimentally verify the existence of valley-polarized polaritonic topological kink states with a large gap opening of ~ 9 meV in the bearded interface at room temperature. Moreover, these valley-polarized states exhibit counter-propagating behaviors under a resonant excitation at room temperature. Our results not only expand the landscape of realizing topological exciton-polaritons, but also pave the way for the development of topological valleytronic devices employing exciton-polaritons with valley DOF at room temperature

Due to sophisticated deployments of all kinds of wireless networks (e.g., 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LEO satellite, etc.), multiband signals distribute in a large bandwidth (e.g., from 70 MHz to 8 GHz). Consequently, for network monitoring and spectrum sharing applications, a sniffer for extracting physical layer information, such as structure of packet, with low sampling rate (especially, sub-Nyquist sampling) can significantly improve their cost- and energy-efficiency. However, to achieve a multiband signals sniffer is really a challenge. To this end, we propose Sums, a system that can sniff and analyze multiband signals in a blind manner. Our Sums takes advantage of hardware and algorithm co-design, multi-coset sub-Nyquist sampling hardware, and a multi-task deep learning framework. The hardware component breaks the Nyquist rule to sample GHz bandwidth, but only pays for a 50 MSPS sampling rate. Our multi-task learning framework directly tackles the sampling data to perform spectrum sensing, physical layer protocol recognition, and demodulation for deep inspection from multiband signals. Extensive experiments demonstrate that Sums achieves higher accuracy than the state-of-theart baselines in spectrum sensing, modulation classification, and demodulation. As a result, our Sums can help researchers and end-users to diagnose or troubleshoot their problems of wireless infrastructures deployments in practice.

Compute eXpress Link (CXL) is emerging as a promising memory interface technology. Because of the common unavailiability of CXL devices, the performance of the CXL memory is largely unknown. What are the use cases for the CXL memory? What are the impacts of the CXL memory on application performance? How to use the CXL memory in combination with existing memory components? In this work, we study the performance of three genuine CXL memory-expansion cards from different vendors. We characterize the basic performance of the CXL memory, study how HPC applications and large language models can benefit from the CXL memory, and study the interplay between memory tiering and page interleaving. We also propose a novel data object-level interleaving policy to match the interleaving policy with memory access patterns. We reveal the challenges and opportunities of using the CXL memory.

In this paper, we introduce a simple yet effective tabular data watermarking mechanism with statistical guarantees. We show theoretically that the proposed watermark can be effectively detected, while faithfully preserving the data fidelity, and also demonstrates appealing robustness against additive noise attack. The general idea is to achieve the watermarking through a strategic embedding based on simple data binning. Specifically, it divides the feature's value range into finely segmented intervals and embeds watermarks into selected ``green list" intervals. To detect the watermarks, we develop a principled statistical hypothesis-testing framework with minimal assumptions: it remains valid as long as the underlying data distribution has a continuous density function. The watermarking efficacy is demonstrated through rigorous theoretical analysis and empirical validation, highlighting its utility in enhancing the security of synthetic and real-world datasets.

Abstract:
Using $(27.12\pm 0.14)\times10^{8}$ $ψ(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector, we present the first observation of the decays $χ_{cJ}\toΛ\barΛω$, where $J=0, 1, 2$, with statistical significances of $11.7 σ, 11.2 σ$, and $11.8 σ$. The branching fractions of these decays are determined to be $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c0}\toΛ\barΛω)=({2.37 \pm 0.22 \pm 0.23}) \times 10^{-4}$,…

We observe no clear intermediate structures.

We investigate the topological gauge-theory terms and quantum criticality in spin-1 Kitaev chain with generic single-ion anisotropies (SIAs). The ground-state phase diagram, including Kitaev spin liquid (KSL) phase and gapless dimer phase, is determined by the infinite time evolving block decimation (iTEBD) method. By varying the strength of uniaxial SIA, there is quantum phase transition between the KSL phase and the dimer phase, which is equivalent to the confinement-deconfinement transition in the lattice Schwinger model with a topological $θ$-angle of $π$. Here, we demonstrate an added rhombic SIA to the $\mathbb{Z}_2$ symmetric model shifts topological angle $θ$ away from $π$, leading to the emergence of $y$-ferroquadrupole and $x$-ferroquadrupole phases for negative and positive values of rhombic SIAs, respectively. By adjusting these rhombic SIAs, the system from the $y$-ferroquadrupole to the $x$-ferroquadrupole phases undergoes either a crossover through the KSL phase or a genuine phase transition through the deconfined line, thus providing an example for unnecessary phase transitions. We find the spin-1 Hamiltonian can be exactly mapped to the spin-1/2 effective extended PXP Hamiltonian coupled to all positive $\mathbb{Z}_2$ gauge charges, where the uniaxial SIA is equivalent to the uniform detuning while the rhombic SIA plays a role of staggered detuning. We then examine the hierarchical fragmentation of the Hilbert space and its associated dynamics in specific limiting cases. The quantum many-body scar (QMBS) arises from the Fibonacci constraint under a weak field of SIAs. When the staggered detuning is sufficiently large, the resultant slow dynamics can be nominally understood using a second-order effective Hamiltonian derived by the Schrieffer-Wolff transformation.
