We study the localization transition in a spin-orbit (SO) coupled binary Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) with collisional inhomogeneous interaction trapped in a one-dimensional quasiperiodic potential. Our numerical analysis shows that the competition between the quasiperiodic disorder and inhomogeneous interaction leads to a reentrant localization transition as the interaction strength is tuned from attractive to repulsive in nature. Further, we analyse the combined effect of the SO and Rabi coupling strengths on the localization transition for different interaction strengths and obtain signatures of reentrant localization transition as function of SO coupling in the regime of weak interactions. We complement our numerical observation with the analytical model using the variational approach. At the end we show how the reentrant localization is manifested in the quench dynamics of the condensate. Our study provides an indirect approach to achieve localization transition without tuning the quasiperiodic potential strength, rather by tuning the inhomogeneous interaction.

We present the analytical and numerical results on the collective excitation spectrum of quasi-one-dimensional spin-orbit (SO) coupled spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensates. The collective excitation spectrum, using Bogoliubov-de-Gennes theory, reveals the existence of a diverse range of phases in the SO and Rabi ($k_L-Ω$) coupling plane. Based on eigenvalue of the excitation spectrum, we categorize the $k_L-Ω$ plane into three distinct regions. In region I, a stable mode with phonon-like excitations is observed. In region IIa, single and multi-band instabilities are noted with a gapped mode, while multi-band instability accompanied by a gapless mode between low-lying and first excited states is realized in region IIb, which also provides evidence of unstable avoided crossing between low-lying and first excited modes The gap between low-lying and first-excited states increases upon increasing the Rabi coupling while decreases upon increase of SO coupling. Using eigenvector analysis, we confirm the presence of the spin-dipole mode in the spin-like modes in Region II. We corroborate the nature of the collective excitation through real-time dynamical evolution of the ground state perturbed with the quench of the trap using the mean-field Gross-Pitaevskii model. This analysis suggests the presence of dynamical instability leading to the disappearance of the $0$-th component of the condensate. In Region III, mainly encompassing $Ω\sim 0$ and finite $k_L$, we observe phonon-like excitations in both the first excited and the low-lying state. The eigenvectors in this region reveal alternative in- and out-of-phase behaviours of the spin components. Numerical analysis reveals the presence of a super stripe phase for small Rabi coupling in this region, wherein the eigenvector indicates the presence of more complicated spin-like-density mixed modes.

We investigate the ground state and dynamics of one-dimensional spin-orbit coupled (SOC) quantum droplets within the extended Gross-Pitaevskii approach. As the SOC wavenumber increases, stripe droplet patterns emerge, with a flat-top background, for larger particle numbers. The surface energy decays following a power-law with respect to the interactions. At small SOC wavenumbers, a transition from Gaussian to flat-top droplets occurs for either a larger number of atoms or reduced intercomponent attraction. The excitation spectrum shows that droplets for relatively small SOC wavenumbers are stable, otherwise stripe droplets feature instabilities as a function of the particle number or the interactions. We also witness rich droplet dynamical features using velocity imprinting and abrupt changes in the intercomponent interaction or the SOC parameters. Characteristic responses include breathing oscillations, expansion, symmetric and asymmetric droplet fragmentation, admixtures of single and stripe droplet branches, and erratic spatial distributions suggesting the triggering of relevant instabilities. Our results reveal the controlled dynamical generation and stability properties of stripe droplets that should be detectable in current cold-atom experiments.

We present simulation results of the ground state structure and dynamics of quantum droplets in one-dimensional spin-orbit coupled binary Bose-Einstein condensates. We have considered two cases for this analysis, such as (i) the mean-field term has a vanishingly small contribution utilizing the equal and opposite inter- and intraspecies interaction and (ii) unequal inter- and intraspecies interaction. For both cases, it shows remarkably different natures of the quantum droplet. In the former case, it exhibits bright sech-like droplet nature, while in the latter case, we find the flattened sech-like shape of the droplet. Further, we analyze the effect of velocity perturbation on the dynamics in both cases. For the first case, we find a systematic change from the solitonic droplet nature to the breathing droplet which finally has a moving droplet feature upon increasing the velocity. However, the second case shows similar dynamics except having more dynamically stable features than the first. Finally, we present various dynamics that ensued in the quantum droplet due to the quenching of the interaction parameters, coupling parameters or allowing the droplet to undergo collisions.

We present the numerical results of the structure and dynamics of the self-bound ground state arising solely because of the presence of beyond mean field quantum fluctuation in spin-orbit coupled binary Bose-Einstein condensates in one dimension. Depending upon spin-obit (SO) and Rabi couplings, we observe that the ground state exhibits either quantum-bright (plane) or quantum-stripe soliton nature. We find an analytical soliton solution for non-zero SO coupling that matches quite well with the numerical results. Further, we investigate the dynamical stability of these solitons by adopting three protocols, such as (i) adding initial velocity to each component, (ii) quenching the SO and Rabi coupling parameters at initial and finite time, and (iii) allowing collision between the two spin-components by giving equal and opposite direction velocity to them. Many interesting dynamical features of the solitons, like, multi-fragmented, repelling, and breathing in time and space-time, are observed. For given Rabi coupling frequency, the breathing frequency of the soliton increases upon the increase in SO coupling, attaining a maximum at the critical SO coupling where the phase transition from the bright to stripe soliton occurs. We observe that the maximum breathing frequency exhibits power law dependence on the Rabi coupling frequency with an exponent $\sim 0.16$.

We study the miscibility properties and ground state phases of two-component spin-orbit (SO) coupled Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) in a harmonic trap with strong axial confinement. By numerically solving the coupled Gross-Pitaevskii equations in the two-dimensional setting, we analyze the SO-coupled BECs for two possible permutations of the intra- and interspecies interactions, namely (i) weak intra- and weak interspecies interactions (W-W) and (ii) weak intra- and strong interspecies interactions (W-S). Considering the density overlap integral as a miscibility order parameter, we investigate the miscible-immiscible transition by varying the coupling parameters. We obtain various ground state phases, including plane wave, half quantum vortex, elongated plane wave, and different stripe wave patterns for W-W interactions. For finite Rabi coupling, an increase in SO coupling strength leads to the transition from the fully miscible to the partially miscible state. We also characterize different ground states in the coupling parameter space using the root mean square sizes of the condensate. The spin density vector for the ground state phases exhibits density, quadrupole and dipole like spin polarizations. For the W-S interaction, in addition to that observed in the W-W case, we witness semi vortex, mixed mode, and shell-like immiscible phases. We notice a wide variety of spin polarizations, such as density, dipole, quadrupole, symbiotic, necklace, and stripe-like patterns for the W-S case. A detailed investigation in the coupling parameter space indicates immiscible to miscible state phase transition upon varying the Rabi coupling for a fixed Rashba SO coupling. The critical Rabi coupling for the immiscible-miscible phase transition decreases upon increasing the SO coupling strength.

We present the collective excitation spectrum analysis of binary Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) with spin-orbit (SO) and Rabi couplings in a quasi-two-dimensional system. In particular, we investigate the role of SO and Rabi coupling strengths in determining the dynamical stability of the coupled BECs using Bogoliubov-de Gennes (BdG) theory. Using the eigenergy of BdG spectrum, we confirm the existence of phonon, roton, and maxon modes with weak repulsive intra- and inter-species contact interactions. The depth of the minimum corresponding to the roton mode depends strongly on the coupling strength. We find that the increase of the SO coupling leads to instability, while the increase in the Rabi coupling stabilizes the system. Also the eigenvectors of BdG spectrum indicates the presence of density like mode in the stable regime and spin like modes in unstable regimes. A phase diagram demonstrating the stability regime in the plane of SO and Rabi coupling strengths is obtained. Finally, we complement the observation of the excitation spectrum with the direct numerical simulation results of coupled Gross-Pitaevskii equations.

Several different forms of SO coupling are included in the programs. We use the split-step Crank-Nicolson discretization for imaginary- and real-time propagation to calculate stationary states and BEC dynamics, respectively. The imaginary-time propagation programs calculate the lowest-energy stationary state. The real-time propagation programs can be used to study the dynamics. The simulation input parameters are provided at the beginning of each program. The programs propagate the condensate wave function and calculate several relevant physical quantities. Outputs of the programs include the wave function, energy, root-mean-square sizes, different density profiles (linear density for the 1D program, linear and surface densities for the 2D program). The imaginary- or real-time propagation can start with an analytic wave function or a pre-calculated numerical wave function. The imaginary-time propagation usually starts with an analytic wave function, while the real-time propagation is often initiated with the previously calculated converged imaginary-time wave function.

Numerically solving the two coupled Gross-Pitaevskii equations which accurately describe the system dynamics, we demonstrate that the spin transport can be controlled by suitably quenching spin-orbit (SO) and Rabi coupling strengths. Moreover, we predict a variety of dynamical features induced by quenching: broken oscillations, breathers-like oscillating patterns, spin-mixing-demixing, miscible-immiscible transition, emerging dark-bright states, dark solitons, and spin-trap** dynamics. We also outline the experimental relevance of the present study in manipulating the spin states in $^{39}$K condensates.

We investigate the dynamics of a spin-orbit (SO) coupled BECs in a time dependent harmonic trap and show the dynamical system to be completely integrable by constructing the Lax pair. We then employ gauge transformation approach to witness the rapid oscillations of the condensates for a relatively smaller value of SO coupling in a time independent harmonic trap compared to their counterparts in a transient trap. Kee** track of the evolution of the condensates in a transient trap during its transition from confining to expulsive trap, we notice that they collapse in the expulsive trap. We further show that one can manipulate the scattering length through Feshbach resonance to stretch the lifetime of the confining trap and revive the condensate. Considering a SO coupled state as the initial state, the numerical simulation indicates that the reinforcement of Rabi coupling on SO coupled BECs generates the striped phase of the bright solitons and does not impact the stability of the condensates despite destroying the integrability of the dynamical system.
