We present the results of the spectroscopic study of a chemically peculiar star HD 152564. Using medium-resolution ($R=37000$) observations obtained with the HRS spectrograph mounted on the South African Large Telescope we determined atmospheric parameters T$_{eff}$=11950$\pm200$ K and log g=3.6$\pm0.2$ dex. Abundance analysis revealed mild deficiency of the light elements and an overabundance of up to $\sim$2 dex of metals with greatest excess for the silicon. With these characteristics HD 152564 is a typical member of the silicon subgroup of Ap stars. Rotational modulation of the light curve and line profiles of HD 152564 are typical for inhomogeneous surface distribution of elements in its atmosphere. We performed multi-element Doppler imaging of the HD 152564 surface. Abundance maps constructed for He, O, Mg, Si, and Fe revealed concentration of these elements in a sequence of equatorial spots as well as in the circumpolar rings. The photometric maximum of the light curve coincided with the visibility of two most overabundant silicon spots. Abundances determined from the different ionisation stages of Fe and Si show clear evidence for vertical stratification of these elements in HD 152564 atmosphere. Meanwhile, the horizontal distribution of silicon reconstructed from the lines of different ionisation stages and excitation energies appeared to be identical with increasing average abundance deeper in atmosphere.

It has been shown that during the outburst of accretion activity observed in UX Ori type star RZ Psc in 2013, the accretion rate increased approximately by an order of magnitude. This means that the accretion process at the late stages of the Pre-Main Sequence evolution is very unstable. Using the spectra obtained during this episode we have studied the magnetospheric emission in the H$α$ line. Models of magnetospheric accretion are calculated to obtain the parameters of the magnetosphere from this observation. In present work we have taken into account the influence of the recombination delay effect during gas motion in the stellar magnetosphere. The accounting for this effect and the presence of the magnetospheric absorption in the IR CaII triplet lines and its absence in D Na I resonance lines allowed us to place a lower limit on the temperature in the magnetosphere at $\approx$ 10000 K, which significantly improved precision of our estimate of accretion rate. According to the best fit model the logarithm of accretion rate is $\log\dot{M} = -10.1\pm0.3$ ($\dot{M} \approx 7\times10^{-11}$ M$_\odot$yr$^{-1}$) and the inclination angle of RZ Psc is $43\pm 3^\circ$. It is less than the inclination, typical for the UX Ori stars (about 70$^\circ$), that explains the weak photometric variability of this star. Using the obtained accretion rate and magnetosphere radius we estimate the strength of the dipole component of the magnetic field of RZ Psc $\approx$ 0.1 kGs.

We present results of the spectroscopic study of the chemically peculiar star BD+30$^\circ$549 which is bona-fide member of young NGC 1333 star forming region. We found that the star possesses negligible rotation and helium-weak spectroscopic pattern with strongly enhanced Si II and Si III lines. The fundamental parameters of the star $T_{eff}$=13100~K and $\log (L/L_{\odot})$=2.1 indicate its age of about 2.7 Myr and position on the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram at the end of the Pre-Main Sequence evolutionary track, close to the Zero Age Main Sequence. Abundance analysis reveals the modest deficit of almost all elements with exception of Si, Fe, Ca and P which are overabundant. We performed the non-LTE calculations for Si II/Si III, Mg II and Ca II in order to check the influence of departures from LTE on line formation. Non-LTE calculations lead to much better reproduction of individual silicon line profiles, but does not completely remove the abundance discrepancy between Si II and Si III lines. We also investigate the effects of possible chemical stratification in BD+30$^\circ$549. We suspect that the "Si II/Si III anomaly", observed in BD+30$^\circ$549 spectrum arises under the combined action of the vertical and horizontal abundance gradients and non-LTE effects. We suppose that evolutionary status and phenomena observed in BD+30$^\circ$549 indicate that conditions favorable for the selective diffusion and formation of the surface chemical composition peculiarities (slow rotation and stabilization of the atmosphere) can be built up already at the Pre-Main Sequence phase.

BP Psc is an active late-type (sp:G9) star with unclear evolutionary status lying at high galactic latitude $b=-57^{\circ}$. It is also the source of the well collimated bipolar jet. We present results of the proper motion and radial velocity study of BP Psc outflow based on the archival $Hα$ imaging with the GMOS camera at 8.1-m Gemini-North telescope as well as recent imaging and long-slit spectroscopy with the SCORPIO multi-mode focal reducer at 6-m BTA telescope of SAO RAS. The 3D kinematics of the jet revealed the full spatial velocity up to $\sim$140 km$\cdot$s$^{-1}$ and allows us to estimate the distance to BP Psc system as $D=135\pm40$ pc. This distance leads to an estimation of the central source luminosity $L_*\approx1.2L_{\odot}$, indicating that it is the $\approx$1.3$M_{\odot}$ T Tauri star with an age $t\lesssim$ 7 Myr. We measured the electron density of order $N_e\sim10^2$ cm$^{-3}$ and mean ionization fraction $f\approx0.04$ within the jet knots and estimated upper limit of the mass-loss rate in NE lobe as $\dot{M}_{out}\approx1.2\cdot10^{-8}M_{\odot}\cdot yr^{-1}$. The physical characteristics of the outflow are typical for the low-excitation YSO jets and consistent with the magnetocentrifugal mechanism of its launching and collimation. Prominent wiggling pattern revealed in $Hα$ images allowed us to suppose the existence of a secondary substellar companion in a non-coplanar orbit and estimate its most plausible mass as $M_p\approx 30M_{Jup}$. We conclude that BP Psc is one of the closest to the Sun young jet-driving systems and its origin is possibly related to the episode of star formation triggered by expanding supershells in Second Galactic quadrant.

In recent years, our understanding of solar-like oscillations from main sequence to red giant stars has improved dramatically thanks to pristine data collected from space telescopes. One of the remaining open questions focuses around the observational identification of solar-like oscillations in pre-main sequence stars.
We aim to develop an improved method to search for solar-like oscillations in pre-main sequence stars and apply it to data collected by the Kepler K2 mission. Our software APOLLO includes a novel way to detect low signal-to-noise ratio solar like oscillations in the presence of a high background level.
By calibrating our method using known solar-like oscillators from the main Kepler mission, we apply it to T Tauri stars observed by Kepler K2 and identify several candidate pre-main sequence solar-like oscillators. We find that our method is robust even when applied to time-series of observational lengths as short as those obtained with the TESS satellite in one sector. We identify EPIC 205375290 as a possible candidate for solar-like oscillations in a pre-main sequence star with $ν_\mathrm{max} \simeq 242\,μ$Hz. We also derive EPIC 205375290's fundamental parameters to be $T_\mathrm{eff}$ = 3670$\pm$180 K, log $g$ = 3.85$\pm$0.3, $v$sin$i$ = 8 $\pm$ 1 km s$^{-1}$, and about solar metallicity from a high-resolution spectrum obtained from the Keck archive.

Rotation periods inferred from the magnetic variability of some Ap stars are incredibly long, exceeding ten years in some cases. An explanation for such slow rotation is lacking. This paper attempts to provide an explanation of the super-slow rotation of the magnetic and thermal patterns of Ap stars in terms of the longitudinal drift of the unstable disturbances of the kink-type (Tayler) instability of their internal magnetic field. The rates of drift and growth were computed for eigenmodes of Tayler instability using stellar parameters estimated from a structure model of an A star. The computations refer to the toroidal background magnetic field of varied strength. The non-axisymmetric unstable disturbances drift in a counter-rotational direction in the co-rotating reference frame. The drift rate increases with the strength of the background field. For a field strength exceeding the (equipartition) value of equal Alfven and rotational velocities, the drift rate approaches the proper rotation rate of a star. The eigenmodes in an inertial frame show very slow rotation in this case. Patterns of magnetic and thermal disturbances of the slowly rotating eigenmodes are also computed. The counter-rotational drift of Tayler instability eigenmodes is a possible explanation for the observed phenomenon of super-slowly rotating Ap stars.

We discuss a revision of accretion activity and kinematics of the enigmatic isolated UX Ori type star RZ Psc. Previously, RZ Psc was known to possess only spectroscopic signatures of outflow in the low-excitation lines of alkali metals. The archival high-resolution spectra reveal a short-lived episode of magnetospheric accretion in the system observed via inverse P Cyg profiles at the H$α$ and CaII 8542 $\unicode{x212B}$ lines. The simultaneous presence of accretion and outflow signatures at CaII 8542 $\unicode{x212B}$ is suggestive of an accretion-driven origin of the RZ Psc wind. We argue that RZ Psc experiences matter ejection via the magnetic propeller mechanism but variable accretion episodes allow it to sometimes move in the magnetospheric accretion regime. The presence of the weak accretion in the system is also supported by the radiation of the hot accretion spot on the stellar surface observed spectroscopically at the deep photometric minimum of the star. The Galactic motion of RZ Psc calculated with new GAIA DR2 astrometric data suggests possible membership in Cas-Tau OB association with an age of $t=20^{+3}_{-5}$ Myr.

RZ Psc is an isolated high-latitude post-T Tauri star that demonstrates a UX Ori-type photometric activity. The star shows very weak spectroscopic signatures of accretion, but at the same time possesses the unusual footprints of the wind in Na I D lines. In the present work we investigate new spectroscopic observations of RZ Psc obtained in 2014 during two observation runs. We found variable blueshifted absorption components (BACs) in lines of the other alcali metals, K I 7699 Å and Ca II IR triplet. We also confirmed the presence of a weak emission component in the H$α$ line, which allowed us to estimate the mass accretion rate on the star as $\dot{M}\leq$ $7 \cdot 10^{-12}$Msun yr$^{-1}$. We could not reveal any clear periodicity in the appearance of BACs in sodium lines. Nevertheless, the exact coincidence of the structure and velocities of the Na I D absorptions observed with the interval of about one year suggests that such a periodicity should exist.

The equivalent width curve shown by the K {\sevensize \rm I} line around the ingress and egress phases indicates that the gas density in the trailing edge is about a factor of two higher than the density in the leading edge. Using a geometrical model, in which a homogeneous, cylindrical Keplarian disk eclipses the F0Ia primary star and the shell absorption lines originate from the gaseous atmosphere around an opaque disk, we fit the equivalent width and the radial velocity curves of the K {\sevensize \rm I} line covering the full eclipse. A reasonably good fit can be achieved by a low-mass binary model where the mass of the central star of the disk is 5.4 M$_{\odot}$ and the mass of the primary is 2.5 M$_{\odot}$ and a disk size of 8.9 AU. The low-mass of the primary, with enhanced $s$-process elements found by Sadakane et al. (2010), supports that it is a post-AGB F supergiant. For the high-mass binary model, the modelled radial velocity curve deviates significantly from the observations.

The results of the spectral observations of a unique eclipsing system ε Aurigae obtained during the recent eclipse are presented. We traced the spectral lines variations at different eclipse phases. The part of these changes is the result of the absorption of stellar radiation by the gas component of circumstellar (CS) disk around the secondary. The other part arises due to the obscuration of the stellar photosphere and the closest circumstellar area by the dusty CS disk. Comparison of our results with the previous one, obtained by Lambert & Sawyer during the 1982-1984 eclipse, indicates the good agreement, and argues in favor of stability of the secondary disk structure. On the base of the new observational data we provide a new mass estimation of the system components.

We also report a 12.4 year cyclical photometric variability which can be interpreted as due to perturbations in the dust distribution. The system is characterized by a high inclination, marginal extinction (during bright photometric states), a single temperature for the warm dust, and an age estimate which puts the star beyond the formation stage. We propose that the dust occultation events present a dynamical view of an active asteroid belt whose collisional products sporadically obscure the central star.

The star RZ Psc is one of the most enigmatic members of the UX Ori star family. It shows all properties that are typical for these stars (the light variability, high linear polarization in deep minima, the blueing effect) except for one: it lacks any signatures of youth. With the Li I line, as a rough estimate for the stellar age, we show that the "lithium" age of RZ Psc lies between the age of stars in the Pleiades (approximately 70 Myr) and the Orion (approximately 10 Myr) clusters. We also roughly estimated the age of RZ Psc based on the proper motion of the star using the Tycho-2 catalog. We found that the star has escaped from its assumed birthplace near to the Galactic plane about 30-40 Myr ago. We conclude that RZ Psc is a post-UXOr star, and its sporadic eclipses are caused by material from the debris disk.
