Manifesto - Model Engineering for Complex Systems
Abstract: Complex systems are hard to define. Nevertheless they are more and more frequently encountered. Examples include a worldwide airline traffic management system, a global telecommunication or energy infrastructure or even the whole legacy portfolio accumulated for more than thirty years in a large insurance company. There are currently few engineering methods and tools to deal with them in practice.… ▽ More

Lepton Flavor Violation at the LHC
Abstract: Recent results from Super Kamiokande suggest $ν_μ-ν_τ$ mixing and hence lepton flavor violation. In supersymmetric models, this flavor violation may have implications for the pattern of slepton masses and mixings. Possible signals for this mixing in the decays of sleptons produced at the LHC are discussed. The sensitivity expected is compared to that of rare decays such as $τ\to μγ$.

Simulating Supersymmetry with ISAJET 7.0/ ISASUSY 1.0
Abstract: We review the physics assumptions and input used in ISAJET~7.0 / ISA\-SUSY~1.0 that are relevant for simulating fundamental processes within the framework of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) at $p\bar p$ and $pp$ colliders. After a brief discussion of the underlying MSSM framework, we discuss event simulation and list the sparticle production processes and decay modes that have b… ▽ More
