PixIT: Joint Training of Speaker Diarization and Speech Separation from Real-world Multi-speaker Recordings
Abstract: A major drawback of supervised speech separation (SSep) systems is their reliance on synthetic data, leading to poor real-world generalization. Mixture invariant training (MixIT) was proposed as an unsupervised alternative that uses real recordings, yet struggles with overseparation and adapting to long-form audio. We introduce PixIT, a joint approach that combines permutation invariant training (… ▽ More

Final State Interaction Effects on $γ$ from $B \to D K$
Abstract: The implications of a negligible annihilation contribution in $B \to D K$ decays are reanalyzed and are shown to lead to no new constraints on the weak phase $γ$ from color-allowed $B^{\pm} \to D K^{\pm}$ decays. A test of negligible annihilation is proposed in $B^+ \to D^+ K^0$ (or $B^+ \to D^+ K^{*0}$), and an application is presented in which $γ$ can be determined from these processes (or cor… ▽ More

Hamiltonian Embedding of Self-Dual Model and Equivalence with Maxwell-Chern-Simons Theory
Abstract: Following systematically the generalized Hamiltonian approach of Batalin and Fradkin, we demonstrate the equivalence of a self-dual model with the Maxwell-Chern-Simons theory by embedding the former second-class theory into a first-class theory.

Cold + Hot Dark Matter Cosmology with $m(ν_μ) \approx m(ν_τ) \approx 2.4$ ev
Abstract: Cold + Hot Dark Matter (CHDM) $Ω=1$ cosmological models require a total neutrino mass $\sim 5$ eV. Because recent data support the $ν_μ\to ν_τ$ oscillation explanation of the cosmic ray $ν_μ$ deficit, which requires that $m(ν_μ) \approx m(ν_τ)$, this suggests that $m(ν_μ) \approx m(ν_τ) \approx 2.4$ eV. The linear calculations and N-body simulation reported here indicate that an $Ω=1$ CHDM model… ▽ More
