Weyl-Lorentz-U(1)-invariant symmetric teleparallel gravity in three dimensions
Abstract: We consider a Weyl-Lorentz-$U(1)$-invariant gravity model written in terms of a scalar field, electromagnetic field and nonmetricity without torsion and curvature, the so-called symmetric teleparallel geometry, in three dimensions. Firstly, we obtain variational field equations from a Lagrangian. Then, we find some classes of circularly symmetric rotating solutions by making only a metric ansatz.… ▽ More

Scale invariant Einstein-Cartan theory in three dimensions
Abstract: We retreat the well-known Einstein-Cartan theory by slightly modifying the covariant derivative of spinor field by investigating double cover of the Lorentz group. We first write the Lagrangian consisting of the Einstein-Hilbert term, Dirac term and a scalar field term in a non-Riemannian spacetime with curvature and torsion. Then by solving the affine connection analytically we reformulate the th… ▽ More

Interpolation of impedance matrices for varying quasi-periodic boundary conditions in 2D periodic Method of Moments
Abstract: Periodic structures can be simulated using the periodic Method of Moments. The quasi-periodicity, i.e. periodicity within a linear phase-shift, is implemented through the use of the periodic Green's function. In this paper, we propose a technique to interpolate the impedance matrix for varying phase-shifts. To improve the accuracy, the contribution of the dominant Floquet modes and a term correspo… ▽ More

Three-Dimensional Higher-Order Schrödinger Algebras and Lie Algebra Expansions
Abstract: We provide a Lie algebra expansion procedure to construct three-dimensional higher-order Schrödinger algebras which relies on a particular subalgebra of the four-dimensional relativistic conformal algebra. In particular, we reproduce the extended Schrödinger algebra and provide a new higher-order Schrödinger algebra. The structure of this new algebra leads to a discussion on the uniqueness of the… ▽ More

Superconformal generalizations of auxiliary vector modified polynomial f(R) theories
Abstract: We present the supersymmetric completion of the auxiliary vector modified polynomial $f(R)$ theories in their dual scalar-tensor theory formulation that interpolate between the auxiliary vector modified polynomial $f(R)$ theories and chaotic inflation with the power-law potential $V(φ) \propto φ^p$. The supersymmetrization is achieved in two steps: First, we introduce a superconformal theory for t… ▽ More

Numerically stable eigenmode extraction in 3D periodic metamaterials
Abstract: A numerical method is presented to compute the eigenmodes supported by three dimensional (3D) metamaterials using the Method of Moments (MoM). The method relies on interstitial equivalent currents between layers. First, a parabolic formulation is presented. Then, we present an iterative technique that can be used to linearize the problem. In this way, all the eigenmodes characterized by their tran… ▽ More
