Left-Right Symmetric Models at the High-Intensity Frontier
Abstract: We study constraints on Left-Right Symmetric models from searches of semileptonic decays of $D$, $D_{s}$, $B$ mesons, mediated by heavy neutrinos $N$ with masses $m_N\sim $ GeV that go on their mass shell leading to a resonant enhancement of the rates. Using these processes we examine, as a function of $m_N$ and $M_{W_R}$, the physics reach of the recently proposed high-intensity beam dump experim… ▽ More

Quasi-Linear Soft Tissue Models Revisited
Abstract: Incompressibility, nonlinear deformation under stress and viscoelasticity are the fingerprint of soft tissue mechanical behavior. In order to model soft tissues appropriately, we must pursue to complete these requirements. In this work we revisited different soft tissue quasi-linear model possibilities in trying to achieve for this commitment.

Critical indices of random planar electrical networks
Abstract: We propose a new method to estimate the critical index $t$ for strength of networks of random fused conductors. It relies on a recently introduced expression for their yield strength. We confirm the results using finite size scaling. To pursue this commitment, we systematically study different damage modalities of conducting networks inducing variations on the behavior of their nonlinear strengt… ▽ More

Strength Reduction in Electrical and Elastic Networks
Abstract: Particular aspects of problems ranging from dielectric breakdown to metal insu- lator transition can be studied using electrical o elastic networks. We present an expression for the mean breakdown strength of such networks.First, we intro- duce a method to evaluate the redistribution of current due to the removal of a finite number of elements from a hyper-cubic network of conducatances. It is us… ▽ More
