The trisector curve is transcendental
Abstract: We show that the distance trisector curve is not an algebraic curve, as was conjectured in the founding paper by T. Asano, J. Matousek and T. Tokoyama: "The distance trisector curve", Advances in Math., 212, 338-360 (2007).

On Decomposing N=2 Line Bundles as Tensor Products of N=1 Line Bundles
Abstract: We obtain the existence of a cohomological obstruction to expressing N=2 line bundles as tensor products of N=1 bundles. The motivation behind this paper is an attempt at understanding the N=2 super KP equation via Baker functions, which are special sections of line bundles on supercurves.

Nonemptiness of Brill-Noether loci
Abstract: Let $X$ be a non-singular algebraic curve of genus $g$. We prove that the Brill-Noether locus $\bns $ is non-empty if $d= nd' +d'' $ with $0< d'' <2n$, $1\le s\le g$, $d'\geq (s-1)(s+g)/s $, $n\leq d''+(n-k)g$, $(d'',k)\ne(n,n)$. These results hold for an arbitrary curve of genus $\ge 2$, and allow us to construct a region in the associated ``Brill-Noether $\pa$-map'' of points for which the Bri… ▽ More
