Abstract:
This note is a complete library of symbolic parametrized expressions for both real and complexified configuration spaces of a spherical 4-bar linkage. Building upon the previous work from Izmestiev, (2016, Section 2), this library expands on the expressions by incorporating all four folding angles across all possible linkage length choices, along with the polynomial relation between diagonals (sph…

This note is a complete library of symbolic parametrized expressions for both real and complexified configuration spaces of a spherical 4-bar linkage. Building upon the previous work from Izmestiev, (2016, Section 2), this library expands on the expressions by incorporating all four folding angles across all possible linkage length choices, along with the polynomial relation between diagonals (spherical arcs). Furthermore, a complete MATLAB app script is included, enabling visualization and parametrization. The derivations are presented in a detailed manner, ensuring accessibility for researchers across diverse disciplines.

A multiobjective optimization method is proposed for obtaining the optimal plane trusses simultaneously for various aspect ratios of the initial
ground structure as a set of Pareto optimal solutions generated through a single optimization process. The shape and topology are optimized simultaneously to minimize the

A multiobjective optimization method is proposed for obtaining the optimal plane trusses simultaneously for various aspect ratios of the initial
ground structure as a set of Pareto optimal solutions generated through a single optimization process. The shape and topology are optimized simultaneously to minimize the
compliance under constraint on the total structural volume. The strain energy of each member is divided into components of two coordinate
directions on the plane. The force density method is used for alleviating difficulties due to existence of coalescent or melting nodes.
It is shown in the numerical example that sufficiently accurate optimal solutions are obtained by comparison with those obtained by the linear
weighted sum approach that requires solving a single-objective optimization problem many times.

Abstract:
A computationally efficient method is presented for approximate optimization of cutting pattern of frame-supported and pneumatic membrane structures. The plane cutting sheet is generated by minimizing the error from the shape obtained by reducing the stress from the desired curved shape. The equilibrium shape is obtained solving a minimization problem of total strain energy. The external work done…

The external work done by the pressure is also incorporated for analysis of pneumatic membrane. An approximate method is also proposed for analysis of an Ethylene TetraFluoroEthylene (ETFE) film, where elasto-plastic behavior is modeled as a nonlinear elastic material under monotonic loading condition. Efficiency of the proposed method is demonstrated through examples of a frame-supported PolyVinyl Chloride (PVC) membrane structure and an air pressured square ETFE film.

Abstract:
In this paper we present an algorithm for enumerating without repetitions all the non-crossing generically minimally rigid bar-and-joint frameworks under edge constraints (also called constrained non-crossing Laman frameworks) on a given generic set of $n$ points. Our algorithm is based on the reverse search paradigm of Avis and Fukuda. It generates each output graph in $O(n^4)$ time and O(n) sp…

It generates each output graph in $O(n^4)$ time and O(n) space, or, slightly different implementation, in $O(n^3)$ time and $O(n^2)$ space. In particular, we obtain that the set of all the constrained non-crossing Laman frameworks on a given point set is connected by flips which restore the Laman property.
