One-radius results for supermedian functions on $\Bbb R^d$, $d\le 2$
Abstract: A classical result states that every lower bounded superharmonic function on $\Bbb R^2$ is constant. In this paper the following (stronger) one-circle version is proven. If $f\colon \Bbb R^2\to (-\infty,\infty]$ is lower semicontinuous, $\liminf_{|x|\to\infty} f(x)/\ln|x|\ge 0$, and, for every $x\in\Bbb R^2$, $1/(2π) \int_0^{2π} f(x+r(x)e^{it}) dt\le f(x)$, where… ▽ More

Elliptic Thermal Correlation Functions and Modular Forms in a Globally Conformal Invariant QFT
Abstract: Global conformal invariance (GCI) of quantum field theory (QFT) in two and higher space-time dimensions implies the Huygens' principle, and hence, rationality of correlation functions of observable fields (see Commun. Math. Phys. 218 (2001) 417-436; hep-th/0009004). The conformal Hamiltonian $H$ has discrete spectrum assumed here to be finitely degenerate. We then prove that thermal expectation… ▽ More

Modulational instability, solitons and beam propagation in spatially nonlocal nonlinear media
Abstract: We present an overview of recent advances in the understanding of optical beams in nonlinear media with a spatially nonlocal nonlinear response. We discuss the impact of nonlocality on the modulational instability of plane waves, the collapse of finite-size beams, and the formation and interaction of spatial solitons.

Entire curves avoiding given sets in C^n
Abstract: Let $F\subset\Bbb C^n$ be a proper closed subset of $\Bbb C^n$ and $A\subset\Bbb C^n\setminus F$ at most countable ($n\geq 2$). We give conditions of $F$ and $A$, under which there exists a holomorphic immersion (or a proper holomorphic embedding) $φ:\Bbb C\to\Bbb C^n$ with $A\subsetφ(\Bbb C)\subset\Bbb C^n\setminus F$.
