Tetrahedron maps and symmetries of three dimensional integrable discrete equations
Abstract: A relationship between the tetrahedron equation for maps and the consistency property of integrable discrete equations on $\mathbb{Z}^3$ is investigated. Our approach is a generalization of a method developed in the context of Yang-Baxter maps, based on the invariants of symmetry groups of the lattice equations. The method is demonstrated by a case-by-case analysis of the octahedron type lattice e… ▽ More

Integrable multi-component difference systems of equations
Abstract: We present two lists of multi-component systems of integrable difference equations defined on the edges of a $\mathbb{Z}^2$ graph. The integrability of these systems is manifested by their Lax formulation which is a consequence of the multi-dimensional compatibility of these systems. Imposing constraints consistent with the systems of difference equations, we recover known integrable quad-equation… ▽ More

Systems of difference equations on a vector valued function that admit 3D space of scalar potentials
Abstract: For some involutive maps $Φ:{\mathbb C}P^1 \times {\mathbb C}P^1 \to {\mathbb C}P^1 \times {\mathbb C}P^1$ we find all invariants with separated variables. We investigate a link of the maps and their invariants with separated variables to discrete integrable systems. Maps correspond to integrable systems on edges (bond systems), while their invariants with separated variables yields potentials of… ▽ More

Difference systems in bond and face variables and non-potential versions of discrete integrable systems
Abstract: Integrable discrete scalar equations defined on a~two or a three dimensional lattice can be rewritten as difference systems in bond variables or in face variables respectively. Both the difference systems in bond variables and the difference systems in face variables can be regarded as vector versions of the original equations. As a result, we link some of the discrete equations by difference subs… ▽ More

$2^n-$rational maps
Abstract: We present a natural extension of the notion of nondegenerate rational maps (quadrirational maps) to arbitrary dimensions. We refer to these maps as $2^n-$rational maps. In this note we construct a rich family of $2^n-$rational maps. These maps by construction are involutions and highly symmetric in the sense that the maps and their companion maps have the same functional form.

Multi-quadratic quad equations: integrable cases from a factorised-discriminant hypothesis
Abstract: We give integrable quad equations which are multi-quadratic (degree-two) counterparts of the well-known multi-affine (degree-one) equations classified by Adler, Bobenko and Suris (ABS). These multi-quadratic equations define multi-valued evolution from initial data, but our construction is based on the hypothesis that discriminants of the defining polynomial factorise in a particular way that allo… ▽ More

Families of Integrable Equations
Abstract: We present a method to obtain families of lattice equations. Specifically we focus on two of such families, which include 3-parameters and their members are connected through Bäcklund transformations. At least one of the members of each family is integrable, hence the whole family inherits some integrability properties.

On non-multiaffine consistent-around-the-cube lattice equations
Abstract: We show that integrable involutive maps, due to the fact they admit three integrals in separated form, can give rise to equations, which are consistent around the cube and which are not in the multiaffine form assumed in papers [1, 2]. Lattice models, which are discussed here, are related to the lattice potential KdV equation by nonlocal transformations (discrete quadratures).

Darboux transformations for linear operators on two dimensional regular lattices
Abstract: Darboux transformations for linear operators on regular two dimensional lattices are reviewed. The six point scheme is considered as the master linear problem, whose various specifications, reductions, and their sublattice combinations lead to other linear operators together with the corresponding Darboux transformations. The second part of the review deals with multidimensional aspects of (basi… ▽ More

Integrable dynamics of Toda-type on the square and triangular lattices
Abstract: In a recent paper we constructed an integrable generalization of the Toda law on the square lattice. In this paper we construct other examples of integrable dynamics of Toda-type on the square lattice, as well as on the triangular lattice, as nonlinear symmetries of the discrete Laplace equations on the square and triangular lattices. Integrable lattices and their sublattices II. From the B-quadrilateral lattice to the self-adjoint schemes on the triangular and the honeycomb lattices
Abstract: An integrable self-adjoint 7-point scheme on the triangular lattice and an integrable self-adjoint scheme on the honeycomb lattice are studied using the sublattice approach. The star-triangle relation between these systems is introduced, and the Darboux transformations for both linear problems from the Moutard transformation of the B-(Moutard) quadrilateral lattice are obtained. Integrable lattices and their sub-lattices: from the discrete Moutard (discrete Cauchy-Riemann) 4-point equation to the self-adjoint 5-point scheme

We consider, as illustrative example of this approach, the discrete Moutard 4-point equation and its sub-lattice, the self-adjoint 5-point scheme on the star of the square lattice, which are relevant in the theory of the integrable Discrete Geo… ▽ More

The self-adjoint 5-point and 7-point difference operators, the associated Dirichlet problems, Darboux transformations and Lelieuvre formulas
Abstract: We present some basic properties of two distinguished discretizations of elliptic operators: the self-adjoint 5-point and 7-point schemes on a two dimensional lattice. We first show that they allow to solve Dirichlet boundary value problems; then we present their Darboux transformations. Finally we construct their Lelieuvre formulas and we show that, at the level of the normal vector and in full… ▽ More

The integrable discretization of the Bianchi-Ernst system
Abstract: We present the constraint for the discrete Moutard equation which gives the integrable discretization of the Bianchi-Ernst system. We also derive the discrete analogue of the Bianchi transformation between solutions of such a system (the Darboux-Backlund transformation in soliton terminology). We finally obtain the superposition of discrete Bianchi transformations.
