Lipschitzness of the width and diameter functions of convex bodies in $\mathbb R^n$
Abstract: Lipschitz constants for the width and diameter functions of a convex body in $\mathbb R^n$ are found in terms of its diameter and thickness (maximum and minimum of both functions). Also, a dual approach to thickness is proposed.

Areas associated to a quadrilateral
Abstract: We study the relationship between the areas of the consecutive quadrilaterals cut from a convex quadrilateral in the plane by means of a finite or infinite number of straight lines intersecting two of its opposite sides. Moreover, we obtain a geometric description of all possible areas obtained in this way given the ratios of the lengths of consecutive segments the lines divide these two opposite… ▽ More

Complex surfaces and null conformal Killing vector fields
Abstract: We study the relation between the existence of null conformal Killing vector fields and existence of compatible complex and para-hypercomplex structures on a pseudo-Riemannian manifold with metric of signature (2,2). We establish first the topological types of pseudo-Hermitian surfaces admitting a nowhere vanishing null vector field. Then we show that a pair of orthogonal, pointwise linearly indep… ▽ More

Harmonicity of the Atiyah-Hitchin-Singer and Eells-Salamon almost complex structures
Abstract: In this paper we describe the oriented Riemannian four-manifolds $M$ for which the Atiyah-Hitchin-Singer or Eells-Salamon almost complex structure on the twistor space ${\mathcal Z}$ of $M$ determines a harmonic map from ${\mathcal Z}$ into its twistor space.

Compact complex surfaces with geometric structures related to split quaternions
Abstract: We study the problem of existence of geometric structures on compact complex surfaces that are related to split quaternions. These structures, called para-hypercomplex, para-hyperhermitian and para-hyperkähler are analogs of the hypercomplex, hyperhermitian and hyperkähler structures in the definite case. We show that a compact oriented 4-manifold carries a para-hyperkähler structure iff it has a… ▽ More

Hyperbolic Twistor Spaces
Abstract: In contrast to the classical twistor spaces whose fibres are 2-spheres, we introduce twistor spaces over manifolds with almost quaternionic structures of the second kind in the sense of P. Libermann whose fibres are hyperbolic planes. We discuss two natural almost complex structures on such a twistor space and their holomorphic functions.
