SaulLM-7B: A pioneering Large Language Model for Law
Abstract: In this paper, we introduce SaulLM-7B, a large language model (LLM) tailored for the legal domain. With 7 billion parameters, SaulLM-7B is the first LLM designed explicitly for legal text comprehension and generation. Leveraging the Mistral 7B architecture as its foundation, SaulLM-7B is trained on an English legal corpus of over 30 billion tokens. SaulLM-7B exhibits state-of-the-art proficiency i… ▽ More

A selection principle for a viscosity solution of the Mañé Lagrangian
Abstract: For a vector field on a compact manifold we consider the invariant measure for the stochastic perturbation as well as the corresponding Mañé lagrangian. We show that the limit of the invariant measure of the perturbated system, when the perturbation tends to zero, determines a particular weak KAM solution of the lagrangian.

Stochastic Differential Mean-Field Games in a Weak Formulation
Abstract: We study a Mean Field Game system in a weak formulation through its associated McKean-Vlasov Forward-Backward Stochastic Differential Equation (FBSDE). Our main goal is to obtain existence and regularity results of this FBSDE using the techniques of Malliavin calculus, in particular, classical and Malliavin differentiability. Using these results, we characterize the decoupling (master) field.

Weak KAM theory for subriemannian Lagrangians
Abstract: We extend weak KAM theory to Lagrangians that are defined only on the horizontal distribution of a sub-Riemannian manifold. The main tool is Tonelli's theorem which allows dispending on a Lagrangian dynamics.

Discrete Approximation Of Stationary Mean Field Games
Abstract: In this paper, we focus on stationary (ergodic) mean-field games (MFGs). These games arise in the study of the long-time behavior of finite-horizon MFGs. Motivated by a prior scheme for Hamilton-Jacobi equations introduced in Aubry-Mather's theory, we introduce a discrete approximation to stationary MFGs. Relying on Kakutani's fixed-point theorem, we prove the existence and uniqueness (up to addit… ▽ More

Discrete approximation of the viscous HJ equation
Abstract: We consider a stochastic discretization of the stationary viscous Hamilton Jacobi equation on the flat d dimensional torus, associated with a Hamiltonian, convex and superlinear in the momentum variable. We show that each discrete problem admits a unique continuous solution on the torus, up to additive constants. By additionally assuming a technical condition on the associated Lagrangian, we show… ▽ More

Time-periodic Evans approach to weak KAM theory
Abstract: We study the time-periodic version of Evans approach to weak KAM theory. Evans minimization problem is equivalent to a first oder mean field game system. For the mechanical Hamiltonian we prove the existence of smooth solutions. We introduce the corresponding effective Lagrangian and Hamiltonian and prove that they are smooth. We also consider the limiting behavior of the effective Lagrangian and… ▽ More

Free time minimizers for the planar three-body problem
Abstract: Free time minimizers of the action (called"semi-static" solutions by Mañe) play a central role in the theory of weak KAM solutions to the Hamilton-Jacobi equation (see Fathi). We prove that any solution to Newton's three-body problem which is asymptotic to Lagrange's parabolic homothetic solution is eventually a free time minimizer. Conversely, we prove that every free time minimizer tends to Lagr… ▽ More

The Lax-Oleinik semi-group on graphs
Abstract: We consider Tonelli Lagrangians on a graph, define weak KAM solutions, which happen to be the fixed points of the Lax-Oleinik semi-group, and identify their uniqueness set as the Aubry set, giving a representation formula. Our main result is the long time convergence of the Lax Oleinik semi-group. Weak KAM solutions are viscosity solutions, and in the case of Hamiltonians called of eikonal type in… ▽ More

Busseman functions for the N-body problem

The Design and Performance of the ZEUS Central Tracking Detector z-by-Timing System
Abstract: The ZEUS Central Tracking Detector utilizes a time difference measurement to provide a fast determination of the z-coordinate of each hit. The z-by-timing measurement is achieved by using a Time-to-Amplitude Converter which has an intrinsic timing resolution of 36 ps, has pipelined readout, and has a multihit capability of 48 ns. In order to maintain the required sub-nanosecond timing accuracy,… ▽ More
