BHK mirror symmetry as introduced by Berglund--Hübsch and Marc Krawitz between Landau--Ginzburg (LG) models has been the topic of much study in recent years. An LG model is determined by a potential function and a group of symmetries. BHK mirror symmetry is only valid when the group of symmetries is comprised of the so-called diagonal symmetries. Recently, an extension to BHK mirror symmetry to include nonabelian symmetry groups has been conjectured. In this article, we provide a mirror map at the level of state spaces between the LG A-model state space and the LG B-model state space for the mirror model predicted by the BHK mirror symmetry extension for nonabelian LG models. We introduce two technical conditions, the Diagonal Scaling Condition, and the Equivariant $Φ$ condition, under which a bi-degree preserving isomorphism of state spaces (the mirror map) is guaranteed to exist, and we prove that the condition is always satisfied if the permutation part of the group is cyclic of prime order.

We contextualize the improved gauge-unfixing (GU) formalism within a rather general prototypical second-class system, obtaining a corresponding first-class equivalent description enjoying gauge invariance which can be applied to several situations. The prototypical system is chosen to represent a considerable class of relevant models in field theory. By considering the improved version of the GU formalism, we show that any gauge-invariant function can be obtained in terms of a specific deformation in phase space, benefiting thus from the fact that no auxiliary variables are needed in the process. In this way, the resulting converted first-class system is constructed out of the same original canonical variables, preserving the number of degrees of freedom. We illustrate the technique with an application to the nonlinear sigma model.

We study the formation of magnon-polaron excitations and the consequences of different time scales between the magnon and lattice dynamics. The spin-spin interactions along the 1D lattice are ruled by a Heisenberg Hamiltonian in the anisotropic form XXZ, in which each spin exhibits a vibrational degree of freedom around its equilibrium position. By considering a magnetoelastic coupling as a linear function of the relative displacement between nearest-neighbor spins, results provide an original framework for achieving a hybridized state of magnon-polaron. Such state is characterized by high cooperation between the underlying excitations, where the traveling or stationary formation of magnon-polaron depends on the effective magnetoelastic coupling. A systematic investigation reveals the critical amount of the magnon-lattice interaction ($χ_c$) necessary to emergence of the stationary magnon-polaron quasi-particle. Different characteristic time scales of the magnon and the vibrational dynamics unveiled the threshold between the two regimes, as well as a limiting value of critical magnetoelastic interaction, above which the magnon velocity no longer interferes at the critical magnetoelastic coupling capable of inducing the stationary regime.

Genetic algorithm (GA) is a stochastic metaheuristic process consisting on the evolution of a population of candidate solutions for a given optimization problem. By extension, multipopulation genetic algorithm (MPGA) aims for efficiency by evolving many populations, or islands, in parallel and performing migrations between them periodically. The connectivity between islands constrains the directions of migration and characterizes MPGA as a dynamic process over a network. As such, predicting the evolution of the quality of the solutions is a difficult challenge, implying in the waste of computer resources and energy when the parameters are inadequate. By using models derived from statistical mechanics, this work aims to estimate equations for the study of dynamics in relation to the connectivity in MPGA. To illustrate the importance of understanding MPGA, we show its application as an efficient alternative to the thermalization phase of Metropolis-Hastings algorithm applied to the Ising model.
