We present L4GM, the first 4D Large Reconstruction Model that produces animated objects from a single-view video input -- in a single feed-forward pass that takes only a second. Key to our success is a novel dataset of multiview videos containing curated, rendered animated objects from Objaverse. This dataset depicts 44K diverse objects with 110K animations rendered in 48 viewpoints, resulting in 12M videos with a total of 300M frames. We keep our L4GM simple for scalability and build directly on top of LGM, a pretrained 3D Large Reconstruction Model that outputs 3D Gaussian ellipsoids from multiview image input. L4GM outputs a per-frame 3D Gaussian Splatting representation from video frames sampled at a low fps and then upsamples the representation to a higher fps to achieve temporal smoothness. We add temporal self-attention layers to the base LGM to help it learn consistency across time, and utilize a per-timestep multiview rendering loss to train the model. The representation is upsampled to a higher framerate by training an interpolation model which produces intermediate 3D Gaussian representations. We showcase that L4GM that is only trained on synthetic data generalizes extremely well on in-the-wild videos, producing high quality animated 3D assets.

Neural reconstruction approaches are rapidly emerging as the preferred representation for 3D scenes, but their limited editability is still posing a challenge. In this work, we propose an approach for 3D scene inpainting -- the task of coherently replacing parts of the reconstructed scene with desired content. Scene inpainting is an inherently ill-posed task as there exist many solutions that plausibly replace the missing content. A good inpainting method should therefore not only enable high-quality synthesis but also a high degree of control. Based on this observation, we focus on enabling explicit control over the inpainted content and leverage a reference image as an efficient means to achieve this goal. Specifically, we introduce RefFusion, a novel 3D inpainting method based on a multi-scale personalization of an image inpainting diffusion model to the given reference view. The personalization effectively adapts the prior distribution to the target scene, resulting in a lower variance of score distillation objective and hence significantly sharper details. Our framework achieves state-of-the-art results for object removal while maintaining high controllability. We further demonstrate the generality of our formulation on other downstream tasks such as object insertion, scene outpainting, and sparse view reconstruction.

Phase-field models of fatigue are capable of reproducing the main phenomenology of fatigue behavior. However, phase-field computations in the high-cycle fatigue regime are prohibitively expensive, due to the need to resolve spatially the small length scale inherent to phase-field models and temporally the loading history for several millions of cycles. As a remedy, we propose a fully adaptive acceleration scheme based on the cycle jump technique, where the cycle-by-cycle resolution of an appropriately determined number of cycles is skipped while predicting the local system evolution during the jump. The novelty of our approach is a cycle-jump criterion to determine the appropriate cycle-jump size based on a target increment of a global variable which monitors the advancement of fatigue. We propose the definition and meaning of this variable for three general stages of the fatigue life. In comparison to existing acceleration techniques, our approach needs no parameters and bounds for the cycle-jump size, and it works independently of the material, specimen or loading conditions. Since one of the monitoring variables is the fatigue crack length, we introduce an accurate, flexible and efficient method for its computation, which overcomes the issues of conventional crack tip tracking algorithms and enables the consideration of several cracks evolving at the same time. The performance of the proposed acceleration scheme is demonstrated with representative numerical examples, which show a speedup reaching four orders of magnitude in the high-cycle fatigue regime with consistently high accuracy.

Crop classification using remote sensing data has emerged as a prominent research area in recent decades. Studies have demonstrated that fusing SAR and optical images can significantly enhance the accuracy of classification. However, a major challenge in this field is the limited availability of training data, which adversely affects the performance of classifiers. In agricultural regions, the dominant crops typically consist of one or two specific types, while other crops are scarce. Consequently, when collecting training samples to create a map of agricultural products, there is an abundance of samples from the dominant crops, forming the majority classes. Conversely, samples from other crops are scarce, representing the minority classes. Addressing this issue requires overcoming several challenges and weaknesses associated with traditional data generation methods. These methods have been employed to tackle the imbalanced nature of the training data. Nevertheless, they still face limitations in effectively handling the minority classes. Overall, the issue of inadequate training data, particularly for minority classes, remains a hurdle that traditional methods struggle to overcome. In this research, We explore the effectiveness of conditional tabular generative adversarial network (CTGAN) as a synthetic data generation method based on a deep learning network, in addressing the challenge of limited training data for minority classes in crop classification using the fusion of SAR-optical data. Our findings demonstrate that the proposed method generates synthetic data with higher quality that can significantly increase the number of samples for minority classes leading to better performance of crop classifiers.

Efficient real-time traffic prediction is crucial for reducing transportation time. To predict traffic conditions, we employ a spatio-temporal graph neural network (ST-GNN) to model our real-time traffic data as temporal graphs. Despite its capabilities, it often encounters challenges in delivering efficient real-time predictions for real-world traffic data. Recognizing the significance of timely prediction due to the dynamic nature of real-time data, we employ knowledge distillation (KD) as a solution to enhance the execution time of ST-GNNs for traffic prediction. In this paper, We introduce a cost function designed to train a network with fewer parameters (the student) using distilled data from a complex network (the teacher) while maintaining its accuracy close to that of the teacher. We use knowledge distillation, incorporating spatial-temporal correlations from the teacher network to enable the student to learn the complex patterns perceived by the teacher. However, a challenge arises in determining the student network architecture rather than considering it inadvertently. To address this challenge, we propose an algorithm that utilizes the cost function to calculate pruning scores, addressing small network architecture search issues, and jointly fine-tunes the network resulting from each pruning stage using KD. Ultimately, we evaluate our proposed ideas on two real-world datasets, PeMSD7 and PeMSD8. The results indicate that our method can maintain the student's accuracy close to that of the teacher, even with the retention of only $3\%$ of network parameters.

Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs) have proven to be powerful 3D representations, capable of high quality novel view synthesis of complex scenes. While NeRFs have been applied to graphics, vision, and robotics, problems with slow rendering speed and characteristic visual artifacts prevent adoption in many use cases. In this work, we investigate combining an autoencoder (AE) with a NeRF, in which latent features (instead of colours) are rendered and then convolutionally decoded. The resulting latent-space NeRF can produce novel views with higher quality than standard colour-space NeRFs, as the AE can correct certain visual artifacts, while rendering over three times faster. Our work is orthogonal to other techniques for improving NeRF efficiency. Further, we can control the tradeoff between efficiency and image quality by shrinking the AE architecture, achieving over 13 times faster rendering with only a small drop in performance. We hope that our approach can form the basis of an efficient, yet high-fidelity, 3D scene representation for downstream tasks, especially when retaining differentiability is useful, as in many robotics scenarios requiring continual learning.

This paper introduces a simple framework for accurately predicting the fatigue lifetime of notched components by employing various machine learning algorithms applied to a wide range of materials, loading conditions, notch geometries, and fatigue lives. Traditional approaches for this task have relied on empirical relationships involving one of the mechanical properties, such as stress, strain, or energy. This study goes further by exploring which mechanical property serves as a better measure. The key idea of the framework is to use the gradient of the mechanical properties (stress, strain, and energy) to distinguish between different notch geometries. To demonstrate the accuracy and broad applicability of the framework, it is initially validated using isotropic materials, subsequently applied to samples produced through additive manufacturing techniques, and ultimately tested on carbon fiber laminated composites. The research demonstrates that the gradient of all three measures can be effectively employed to estimate fatigue lifetime, with stress-based predictions exhibiting the highest accuracy. Among the machine learning algorithms investigated, Gradient Boosting and Random Forest yield the most successful results. A noteworthy finding is the significant improvement in prediction accuracy achieved by incorporating new data generated based on the Basquin equation.

Denoising diffusion models have enabled high-quality image generation and editing. We present a method to localize the desired edit region implicit in a text instruction. We leverage InstructPix2Pix (IP2P) and identify the discrepancy between IP2P predictions with and without the instruction. This discrepancy is referred to as the relevance map. The relevance map conveys the importance of changing each pixel to achieve the edits, and is used to to guide the modifications. This guidance ensures that the irrelevant pixels remain unchanged. Relevance maps are further used to enhance the quality of text-guided editing of 3D scenes in the form of neural radiance fields. A field is trained on relevance maps of training views, denoted as the relevance field, defining the 3D region within which modifications should be made. We perform iterative updates on the training views guided by rendered relevance maps from the relevance field. Our method achieves state-of-the-art performance on both image and NeRF editing tasks. Network connectivity is one of the major design issues in the context of mobile sensor networks. Due to diverse communication patterns, some nodes lying in high-traffic zones may consume more energy and eventually die out resulting in network partitioning. This phenomenon may deprive a large number of alive nodes of sending their important time critical data to the sink. The application of data caching in mobile sensor networks is exponentially increasing as a high-speed data storage layer. This paper presents a deep learning-based beamforming approach to find the optimal transmission strategies for cache-enabled backhaul networks. In the proposed scheme, the sensor nodes in isolated partitions work together to form a directional beam which significantly increases their overall communication range to reach out a distant relay node connected to the main part of the network. The proposed methodology of cooperative beamforming-based partition connectivity works efficiently if an isolated cluster gets partitioned with a favorably large number of nodes. We also present a new cross-layer method for link cost that makes a balance between the energy used by the relay. By directly adding the accessible auxiliary nodes to the set of routing links, the algorithm chooses paths which provide maximum dynamic beamforming usage for the intermediate nodes. The proposed approach is then evaluated through simulation results. The simulation results show that the proposed mechanism achieves up to 30% energy consumption reduction through beamforming as partition healing in addition to guarantee user throughput.

This paper introduces a novel approach to active feature acquisition for classification, which is the task of sequentially selecting the most informative subset of features to achieve optimal prediction performance during testing while minimizing cost. The proposed approach involves a new lazy model that is significantly faster and more efficient compared to existing methods, while still producing comparable accuracy results. During the test phase, the proposed approach utilizes Fisher scores for feature ranking to identify the most important feature at each step. In the next step the training dataset is filtered based on the observed value of the selected feature and then we continue this process to reach to acceptable accuracy or limit of the budget for feature acquisition. The performance of the proposed approach was evaluated on synthetic and real datasets, including our new synthetic dataset, CUBE dataset and also real dataset Forest. The experimental results demonstrate that our approach achieves competitive accuracy results compared to existing methods, while significantly outperforming them in terms of speed. The popularity of Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs) for view synthesis has led to a desire for NeRF editing tools. Here, we focus on inpainting regions in a view-consistent and controllable manner. In addition to the typical NeRF inputs and masks delineating the unwanted region in each view, we require only a single inpainted view of the scene, i.e., a reference view. We use monocular depth estimators to back-project the inpainted view to the correct 3D positions. Then, via a novel rendering technique, a bilateral solver can construct view-dependent effects in non-reference views, making the inpainted region appear consistent from any view. For non-reference disoccluded regions, which cannot be supervised by the single reference view, we devise a method based on image inpainters to guide both the geometry and appearance. Our approach shows superior performance to NeRF inpainting baselines, with the additional advantage that a user can control the generated scene via a single inpainted image. Creating low dimensional representations of a high dimensional data set is an important component in many machine learning applications. How to cluster data using their low dimensional embedded space is still a challenging problem in machine learning. In this article, we focus on proposing a joint formulation for both clustering and dimensionality reduction. When a probabilistic model is desired, one possible solution is to use the mixture models in which both cluster indicator and low dimensional space are learned. Our algorithm is based on a mixture of sparse Gaussian processes, which is called Sparse Gaussian Process Mixture Clustering (SGP-MIC). The main advantages to our approach over existing methods are that the probabilistic nature of this model provides more advantages over existing deterministic methods, it is straightforward to construct non-linear generalizations of the model, and applying a sparse model and an efficient variational EM approximation help to speed up the algorithm.

One of the techniques for estimating the surface particle concentration with a diameter of fewer than 2.5 micrometers (PM2.5) is using aerosol optical depth (AOD) products. Different AOD products are retrieved from various satellite sensors, like MODIS and VIIRS, by various algorithms, such as Deep Blue and Dark Target. Therefore, they do not have the same accuracy and spatial resolution. Additionally, the weakness of algorithms in AOD retrieval reduces the spatial coverage of products, particularly in cloudy or snowy areas. Consequently, for the first time, the present study investigated the possibility of fusing AOD products from observations of MODIS and VIIRS sensors retrieved by Deep Blue and Dark Target algorithms to estimate PM2.5 more accurately. For this purpose, AOD products were fused by machine learning algorithms using different fusion strategies at two levels: the data level and the decision level. First, the performance of various machine learning algorithms for estimating PM2.5 using AOD data was evaluated. After that, the XGBoost algorithm was selected as the base model for the proposed fusion strategies. Then, AOD products were fused. The fusion results showed that the estimated PM2.5 accuracy at the data level in all three metrics, RMSE, MAE, and R2, was improved (R2=0.64). Despite the simplicity and lower computational cost of the data level fusion method, the spatial coverage did not improve considerably due to eliminating poor quality data through the fusion process. Afterward, the fusion of products at the decision level was followed in eleven scenarios. In this way, the best result was obtained by fusing Deep Blue products of MODIS and VIIRS sensors (R2=0.81)

These experiments often single out a specific physical process to be investigated, while studies involving multiscale and multi-physics processes are rare due to the difficulty and complexity in the experimental setup. In the era of climate change, there is an increasing interest in innovative experimental studies in which fluid (wind and water) tunnels are employed for modelling multiscale, multi-physics phenomena of the urban climate. High-quality fluid tunnel measurements of urban-physics related phenomena are also much needed to facilitate the development and validation of advanced multi-physics numerical models. Nowadays, data caching is being used as a high-speed data storage layer in mobile edge computing networks employing flow control methodologies at an exponential rate. This study shows how to discover the best architecture for backhaul networks with caching capability using a distributed offloading technique. This article used a continuous power flow analysis to achieve the optimum load constraints, wherein the power of macro base stations with various caching capacities is supplied by either an intelligent grid network or renewable energy systems. This work proposes ubiquitous connectivity between users at the cell edge and offloading the macro cells so as to provide features the macro cell itself cannot cope with, such as extreme changes in the required user data rate and energy efficiency. The offloading framework is then reformed into a neural weighted framework that considers convergence and Lyapunov instability requirements of mobile-edge computing under Karush Kuhn Tucker optimization restrictions in order to get accurate solutions. The cell-layer performance is analyzed in the boundary and in the center point of the cells. The analytical and simulation results show that the suggested method outperforms other energy-saving techniques. Also, compared to other solutions studied in the literature, the proposed approach shows a two to three times increase in both the throughput of the cell edge users and the aggregate throughput per cluster.

Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs) have emerged as a popular approach for novel view synthesis. While NeRFs are quickly being adapted for a wider set of applications, intuitively editing NeRF scenes is still an open challenge. One important editing task is the removal of unwanted objects from a 3D scene, such that the replaced region is visually plausible and consistent with its context. We refer to this task as 3D inpainting. In 3D, solutions must be both consistent across multiple views and geometrically valid. In this paper, we propose a novel 3D inpainting method that addresses these challenges. Given a small set of posed images and sparse annotations in a single input image, our framework first rapidly obtains a 3D segmentation mask for a target object. Using the mask, a perceptual optimizationbased approach is then introduced that leverages learned 2D image inpainters, distilling their information into 3D space, while ensuring view consistency. We also address the lack of a diverse benchmark for evaluating 3D scene inpainting methods by introducing a dataset comprised of challenging real-world scenes. In particular, our dataset contains views of the same scene with and without a target object, enabling more principled benchmarking of the 3D inpainting task. We first demonstrate the superiority of our approach on multiview segmentation, comparing to NeRFbased methods and 2D segmentation approaches. We then evaluate on the task of 3D inpainting, establishing state-ofthe-art performance against other NeRF manipulation algorithms, as well as a strong 2D image inpainter baseline. Obtaining 3D object representations is important for creating photo-realistic simulations and for collecting AR and VR assets. Neural fields have shown their effectiveness in learning a continuous volumetric representation of a scene from 2D images, but acquiring object representations from these models with weak supervision remains an open challenge. In this paper we introduce LaTeRF, a method for extracting an object of interest from a scene given 2D images of the entire scene, known camera poses, a natural language description of the object, and a set of point-labels of object and non-object points in the input images. To faithfully extract the object from the scene, LaTeRF extends the NeRF formulation with an additional `objectness' probability at each 3D point. Additionally, we leverage the rich latent space of a pre-trained CLIP model combined with our differentiable object renderer, to inpaint the occluded parts of the object. We demonstrate high-fidelity object extraction on both synthetic and real-world datasets and justify our design choices through an extensive ablation study.

Attributed graph clustering or community detection which learns to cluster the nodes of a graph is a challenging task in graph analysis. In this paper, we introduce a contrastive learning framework for learning clustering-friendly node embedding. Although graph contrastive learning has shown outstanding performance in self-supervised graph learning, using it for graph clustering is not well explored. We propose Gaussian mixture information maximization (GMIM) which utilizes a mutual information maximization approach for node embedding. Meanwhile, it assumes that the representation space follows a Mixture of Gaussians (MoG) distribution. The clustering part of our objective tries to fit a Gaussian distribution to each community. The node embedding is jointly optimized with the parameters of MoG in a unified framework. Experiments on real-world datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our method in community detection.

How well can NLP models generalize to a variety of unseen tasks when provided with task instructions? To address this question, we first introduce Super-NaturalInstructions, a benchmark of 1,616 diverse NLP tasks and their expert-written instructions. Our collection covers 76 distinct task types, including but not limited to classification, extraction, infilling, sequence tagging, text rewriting, and text composition. This large and diverse collection of tasks enables rigorous benchmarking of cross-task generalization under instructions -- training models to follow instructions on a subset of tasks and evaluating them on the remaining unseen ones. Furthermore, we build Tk-Instruct, a transformer model trained to follow a variety of in-context instructions (plain language task definitions or k-shot examples). Our experiments show that Tk-Instruct outperforms existing instruction-following models such as InstructGPT by over 9% on our benchmark despite being an order of magnitude smaller. We further analyze generalization as a function of various scaling parameters, such as the number of observed tasks, the number of instances per task, and model sizes. We hope our dataset and model facilitate future progress towards more general-purpose NLP models.

The Internet of things (IoT) generates a plethora of data nowadays, and cloud computing has been introduced as an efficient solution to IoT data management. A cloud resource administrator usually adopts the replication strategy to guarantee the reliability of IoT data. This mechanism can significantly reduce data access time, and evidently, more replicas of data increase the data storage cost. Furthermore, the process of selecting mini clouds for replica allocation and sorting replicas in mini clouds is considered an NP-hard problem. Therefore, this paper proposes an approach based on the harmony search (HS) algorithm to allocate replicas to the IoT data in the cloud computing environment in order to mitigate the data access cost. The HS algorithm was employed in the proposed approach to determine the best location for data replication in the cloud computing environment. According to the implementation results, the proposed approach outperformed the other methods and managed to significantly decrease data access time and delay as well as energy consumption.

Text summarization in medicine can help doctors for reducing the time to access important information from countless documents. The paper offers a supervised extractive summarization method based on conditional generative adversarial networks using convolutional neural networks. Unlike previous models, which often use greedy methods to select sentences, we use a new approach for selecting sentences. Moreover, we provide a network for biomedical word embedding, which improves summarization. An essential contribution of the paper is introducing a new loss function for the discriminator, making the discriminator perform better. The proposed model achieves results comparable to the state-of-the-art approaches, as determined by the ROUGE metric. Experiments on the medical dataset show that the proposed method works on average 5% better than the competing models and is more similar to the reference summaries.

One of the most important reasons of the existence of different types of files with media (audio or video) content, is achieving compression and less size, while preserving quality. In terms of fast transportation of files between equipment and networks and decrease of the required storage space, compression have always been under attention and action. Considering what was mentioned, in general, the concept of compression can be divided into two classes of lossy and lossless. In the lossy method, a part of data is omitted, but in the lossless methods, no data is omitted for compression. At the end of this article, a lossless compression method is presented using Imperialist competitive algorithm for compression. The proposed algorithm tries to achieve a more optimized color for the image color-map, so that it increases the compression rate. The simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm can perform the compression by 43 percent and show its superiority compared to other similar methods.

An important issue in heterogeneous wireless networks is how to optimally utilize various radio resources. While many methods have been proposed for managing radio resources in each network, these methods are not suitable for heterogeneous wireless networks. In this study, a new management method is proposed which provides acceptable service quality and roaming rate, reduces the cost of the service, and utilizes big data technology for its operation. In our proposed scheme, by considering various parameters such as the type of the service, the information related to the location of the user, the movement direction of the user, the cost of the service, and a number of other statistical measures, the most suitable technology for radio access will be selected. It is expected that besides improving the decision making accuracy in selecting the radio access technology and the balanced distribution of network resources, the proposed method provides lower roaming and lower probability of stop** roaming requests entering the network. By considering the various service classes and various quality of service requirements regarding delay, vibration and so on, this can be useful in optimal implementation of heterogeneous wireless networks.

High-dimensional data in many machine learning applications leads to computational and analytical complexities. Feature selection provides an effective way for solving these problems by removing irrelevant and redundant features, thus reducing model complexity and improving accuracy and generalization capability of the model. In this paper, we present a novel teacher-student feature selection (TSFS) method in which a 'teacher' (a deep neural network or a complicated dimension reduction method) is first employed to learn the best representation of data in low dimension. Then a 'student' network (a simple neural network) is used to perform feature selection by minimizing the reconstruction error of low dimensional representation. Although the teacher-student scheme is not new, to the best of our knowledge, it is the first time that this scheme is employed for feature selection. The proposed TSFS can be used for both supervised and unsupervised feature selection. This method is evaluated on different datasets and is compared with state-of-the-art existing feature selection methods. The results show that TSFS performs better in terms of classification and clustering accuracies and reconstruction error. Moreover, experimental evaluations demonstrate a low degree of sensitivity to parameter selection in the proposed method.

In this paper, we present a deep learning (DL) algorithm for channel estimation in communication systems. We consider the time-frequency response of a fast fading communication channel as a two-dimensional image. The aim is to find the unknown values of the channel response using some known values at the pilot locations. To this end, a general pipeline using deep image processing techniques, image super-resolution (SR) and image restoration (IR) is proposed. This scheme considers the pilot values, altogether, as a low-resolution image and uses an SR network cascaded with a denoising IR network to estimate the channel. Moreover, an implementation of the proposed pipeline is presented. The estimation error shows that the presented algorithm is comparable to the minimum mean square error (MMSE) with full knowledge of the channel statistics and it is better than ALMMSE (an approximation to linear MMSE). The results confirm that this pipeline can be used efficiently in channel estimation.

Recent studies show that ensemble methods enhance the stability and robustness of unsupervised learning. These approaches are successfully utilized to construct multiple clustering and combine them into a one representative consensus clustering of an improved quality. The quality of the consensus clustering is directly depended on fusion functions used in combination. In this article, the hierarchical clustering ensemble techniques are extended by introducing a new evolutionary fusion function. In the proposed method, multiple hierarchical clustering methods are generated via bagging. Thereafter, the consensus clustering is obtained using the search capability of genetic algorithm among different aggregated clustering methods made by different fusion functions. Putting some popular data sets to empirical study, the quality of the proposed method is compared with regular clustering ensembles. Experimental results demonstrate the accuracy improvement of the aggregated clustering results.

Bagging and boosting are proved to be the best methods of building multiple classifiers in classification combination problems. In the area of "flat clustering" problems, it is also recognized that multi-clustering methods based on boosting provide clusterings of an improved quality. In this paper, we introduce a novel multi-clustering method for "hierarchical clusterings" based on boosting theory, which creates a more stable hierarchical clustering of a dataset. The proposed algorithm includes a boosting iteration in which a bootstrap of samples is created by weighted random sampling of elements from the original dataset. A hierarchical clustering algorithm is then applied to selected subsample to build a dendrogram which describes the hierarchy. Finally, dissimilarity description matrices of multiple dendrogram results are combined to a consensus one, using a hierarchical-clustering-combination approach. Experiments on real popular datasets show that boosted method provides superior quality solutions compared to standard hierarchical clustering methods.

Recently, two-dimensional canonical correlation analysis (2DCCA) has been successfully applied for image feature extraction. The method instead of concatenating the columns of the images to the one-dimensional vectors, directly works with two-dimensional image matrices. Although 2DCCA works well in different recognition tasks, it lacks a probabilistic interpretation. In this paper, we present a probabilistic framework for 2DCCA called probabilistic 2DCCA (P2DCCA) and an iterative EM based algorithm for optimizing the parameters. Experimental results on synthetic and real data demonstrate superior performance in loading factor estimation for P2DCCA compared to 2DCCA. For real data, three subsets of AR face database and also the UMIST face database confirm the robustness of the proposed algorithm in face recognition tasks with different illumination conditions, facial expressions, poses and occlusions.

Copy-move forgery is the most popular and simplest image manipulation method. In this type of forgery, an area from the image copied, then after post processing such as rotation and scaling, placed on the destination. The goal of Copy-move forgery is to hide or duplicate one or more objects in the image. Key-point based Copy-move forgery detection methods have five main steps: preprocessing, feature extraction, matching, transform estimation and post processing that matching and transform estimation have important effect on the detection. More over the error could happens in some steps due to the noise. The existing methods process these steps separately and in case of having an error in a step, this error could be propagated to the following steps and affects the detection. To solve the above mentioned problem, in this paper the steps of the detection system interact with each other and if an error happens in a step, following steps are trying to detect and solve it. We formulate this interaction by defining and optimizing a cost function. This function includes matching and transform estimation steps. Then in an iterative procedure the steps are executed and in case of detecting error, the error will be corrected. The efficiency of the proposed method analyzed in diverse cases such as pixel image precision level on the simple forgery images, robustness to the rotation and scaling, detecting professional forgery images and the precision of the transformation matrix. The results indicate the better efficiency of the proposed method.

The X-ray diffraction analysis results showed that synthesized powders were pure, and nanocrystalline in nature. Moreover, Scanning electron microscopy revealed that Fe2O3 nanoparticles had spherical shapes while Co3O4 particles had a rod-like morphology. Ethanol sensing properties of Fe2O3/Co3O4 nanocomposites were examined and compared with those of pristine Fe2O3 nanoparticles. It was shown that the gas sensing properties of Fe2O3/Co3O4 nanocomposites were superior to those of pristine Fe2O3 nanoparticles and for all concentrations of ethanol, the response of the nanocomposite sensor was higher than the pristine Fe2O3 nanoparticle sensor. In detail, the response of Fe2O3/Co3O4 nanocomposite sensor to 200 ppm of ethanol at 300°C was about 3 times higher than pristine one. Also in general, the response and recovery times of Fe2O3/Co3O4 nanocomposite sensor were shorter than those of the pristine one. The improved sensing characteristics of the Fe2O3/Co3O4 sensor were attributed to a combination of several effects: the formation of a potential barrier at the Fe2O3-Co3O4 interface, the enhanced modulation of the conduction channel width accompanying the adsorption and desorption of ethanol gas, the catalytic activity of Co3O4 for the oxidation of ethanol, the stronger oxygen adsorption of p-type Co3O4, and the formation of preferential adsorption sites.
