From the arrow of time in Badiali's quantum approach to the dynamic meaning of Riemann's hypothesis
Abstract: The novelty of the Jean Pierre Badiali last scientific works stems to a quantum approach based on both (i) a return to the notion of trajectories (Feynman paths) and (ii) an irreversibility of the quantum transitions. These iconoclastic choices find again the Hilbertian and the von Neumann algebraic point of view by dealing statistics over loops. This approach confers an external thermodynamic ori… ▽ More

Construction of a $C^2$ class finite element based on the Clough-Tocher subdivision
Abstract: In this paper, we construct a $C^2$ finite element based on the Clough-Tocher subdivision. We use derivatives order up to two at the vertices and cross boundary derivatives order up to two along the exterior edges of the triangle. The centroid of the triangle is just evaluated. The interpolant used is globally $C^2,$ has local support, is piecewise polynomial of degree less or equal to 5.

The Concept of Temperature in the Modern Physics
Abstract: The physical quantity "temperature" is a cornerstone of thermodynamics and statistical physics. But it is necessary to mention that very frequently the scientists forget about the conditions to be satisfied in order to introduce "temperature" in macroscopic physics. In the present paper the short introduction to the classical concept of temperature for macroscopic equilibrium systems will be given… ▽ More

Maximum Path Information and Fokker-Planck Equation
Abstract: We present in this paper a rigorous method to derive the nonlinear Fokker-Planck (FP) equation of anomalous diffusion directly from a generalization of the principle of least action of Maupertuis proposed by Wang for smooth or quasi-smooth irregular dynamics evolving in Markovian process. The FP equation obtained may take two different but equivalent forms. It was also found that the diffusion con… ▽ More

Fractional Dynamics, Tiling Equilibrium states and Riemann's zeta function
Abstract: Il is argued that the generalisation of the mechanical principles to other variables than localisation, velocity and momentum leads to the laws of generalized dynamics under the condition of continuous and derivable space time. A counterexample against the Lesche stability of a generic entropy functional
Abstract: We provide a counterexample to show that the generic form of entropy S(p)=sum_i g(p_i) is not always stable against small variation of probability distribution (Lesche stability) even if is concave function on [0,1] and analytic on ]0,1]. Our conclusion is that the stability of such a generic functional needs more hypotheses on the property of the function g, or in other words, the stability of… ▽ More

Possible canonical distributions for finite systems with nonadditive energy
Abstract: It is shown that a small system in thermodynamic equilibrium with a finite thermostat can have a q-exponential probability distribution which closely depends on the energy nonextensivity and the particle number of the thermostat. The distribution function will reduce to the exponential one at the thermodynamic limit. However, the nonextensivity of the system should not be neglected.

Inherent correlations between thermodynamics and statistic physics in extensive and nonextensive systems
Abstract: With the help of a general expression of the entropies in extensive and nonextensive systems, some important relations between thermodynamics and statistical mechanics are revealed through the views of thermodynamics and statistic physics. Generalized measurement of uncertainty and the maximizable entropy
Abstract: For a random variable we can define a variational relationship with practical physical meaning as dI=dbar(x)-bar(dx), where I is called as uncertainty measurement. With the help of a generalized definition of expectation, bar(x)=sum_(i)g(p_i)x_i, and the expression of dI, we can find the concrete forms of the maximizable entropies for any given probability distribution function, where g(p_i) may… ▽ More

On an extension of Lesche stability
Abstract: In this paper, we give a new method for proving the Lesche stability of several functionals(Incomplete entropy, Tsallis entropy, κ- entropy, Quantum-Group entropy). We prove also that the Incomplete q - expectation value and Renyi entropy for (0 < q < 1) are α- stable for all (0 <α<= q). Finally, we prove that the Incomplete q - expectation value is α- stable for all 0 <α<=1.

Maximizable informational entropy as measure of probabilistic uncertainty
Abstract: In this work, we consider a recently proposed entropy S (called varentropy) defined by a variational relationship dI=beta*(d<x>-<dx>) as a measure of uncertainty of random variable x. By definition, varentropy underlies a generalized virtual work principle <dx>=0 leading to maximum entropy d(I-beta*<x>)=0. Temperature and pressure in nonextensive thermostatistics
Abstract: The definitions of the temperature in the nonextensive statistical thermodynamics based on Tsallis entropy are analyzed. A definition of pressure is proposed for nonadditive systems by using a nonadditive effective volume. The thermodynamics of nonadditive photon gas is discussed on this basis. We show that the Stefan-Boltzmann law can be preserved within nonextensive thermodynamics.

About "On certain incomplete statistics" by Lima et al
Abstract: Lima et al recently claim that ({\em Chaos, Solitons $&$ Fractals,} 2004;19:1005)the entropy for the incomplete statistics based on the normalization$\sum_ip_i^q=1$ should be $S=-\sum_ip_i^{2q-1}\ln_qp_i$ instead of$S=-\sum_ip_i^{q}\ln_qp_i$ initially proposed by Wang. We indicate here that thisconclusion is a result of erroneous use of temperature definition for the incompletestatistics.
