A determinant approach for generalized $q$-Bernoulli polynomials and asymptotic results
Abstract: In earlier work, we introduced three families of polynomials where the generating function of each set includes one of the three Jackson $q$-analogs of the Bessel function. This paper gives determinant representation for each family, their large $n $ asymptotics, and two expansion theorems for specific classes of entire functions. We include two examples.

A Lagrangian method for indefinite q-integrals
Abstract: A Lagrangian method is introduced recently for deriving indefinite integrals of special functions that satisfy homogeneous (nonhomogeneous) second-order linear differential equations. This paper extends this method to include indefinite Jackson $q$-integrals of special functions satisfying homogeneous (nonhomogeneous) second-order linear $q$-difference equations. Many $q$-integrals, both previousl… ▽ More

Indefinite $q$-integrals from a method using $q$-Ricatti equations
Abstract: Earlier work introduced a method for obtaining indefinite $q$-integrals of $q$-special functions from the second-order linear $q$-difference equations that define them. In this paper, we reformulate the method in terms of $q$-Riccati equations, which are nonlinear and first order. We derive $q$-integrals using fragments of these Riccati equations, and here only two specific fragment types are exam… ▽ More

The $q$-Lidstone series involving $q$-Bernoulli and $q$-Euler polynomials generated by the third Jackson $q$-Bessel function
Abstract: n this paper, we present $q$-Bernoulli and $q$-Euler polynomials generated by the third Jackson $q$-Bessel function to construct new types of $q$-Lidstone expansion theorem. We prove that the entire function may be expanded in terms of $q$-Lidstone polynomials which are $q$-Bernoulli polynomials and the coefficients are the even powers of the $q$-derivative $\frac{δ_q f(z)}{δ_q z}$ at $0$ and $1$.… ▽ More

Generalized $q$-Bernoulli polynomials generated by Jackson $q$-Bessel functions
Abstract: In this paper, we introduce the polynomials $B^{(k)}_{n,α}(x;q)$ generated by a function including Jackson $q$-Bessel functions $J^{(k)}_α(x;q)$ $ (k=1,2,3),\,α>-1$. The cases $α=\pm\frac{1}{2}$ are the $q$-analogs of Bernoulli and Euler$^{,}$s polynomials introduced by Ismail and Mansour for $(k=1,2)$, Mansour and Al-Towalib for $(k=3)$. We study the main properties of these polynomials, their la… ▽ More

$q$-type Lidstone expansions and an interpolation problem for entire functions
Abstract: In this paper, we expand functions of specific $q$-exponential growth in terms of its even (odd) Askey- Wilson $q$-derivatives at $0$ and $η=(q^{1/4}+q^{-1/4})/2$. This expansion is a $q$-version of the celebrated Lidstone expansion theorem, where we expand the function in $q$-analogs of Lidstone polynomials, i.e., q-Bernoulli and $q$-Euler polynomials as in the classical case. We also raise and s… ▽ More

Odd and even $q$-type Lidstone polynomial sequences
Abstract: In this paper, we introduce two types of general classes of even and odd $q$-Lidstone polynomial sequences. We prove essential properties related to them like the matrix and determinate form representation, the generating function, recurrence relation, and conjugate sequences. Some illustrative examples are included.

On Fractional q-Sturm--Liouville problems
Abstract: In this paper, we formulate a regular $q$-fractional Sturm--Liouville problem (qFSLP) which includes the left-sided Riemann--Liouville and the right-sided Caputo q-fractional derivatives of the same order $α$, $α\in (0,1)$. The properties of the eigenvalues and the eigenfunctions are investigated. A $q$-fractional version of the Wronskian is defined and its relation to the simplicity of the eigenf… ▽ More
