Abstract:
The on-site Coulomb potential, U, and the covalent state of electronic orbitals play key roles for the Cooper pair symmetry and exotic electromagnetic properties of high-Tc superconducting cuprates. In this paper, we demonstrate a way to determine the value of U and present the whole picture of the covalent state of Cu spins in the mother system of the La-based high-Tc superconducting cuprate, La2…

The on-site Coulomb potential, U, and the covalent state of electronic orbitals play key roles for the Cooper pair symmetry and exotic electromagnetic properties of high-Tc superconducting cuprates. In this paper, we demonstrate a way to determine the value of U and present the whole picture of the covalent state of Cu spins in the mother system of the La-based high-Tc superconducting cuprate, La2CuO4, by combining the muon spin rotation (μSR) and the density functional theory (DFT) calculation. We reveal local deformations of the CuO6 octahedron followed by changes in Cu-spin distributions caused by the injected muon. Adjusting the DFT and muSR results, U and the minimum charge-transfer energy between the upper Hubbard band and the O 2p band were optimized to be 4.87(4) and 1.24(1) eV, respectively.

Abstract:
In this paper, we consider isotropic and stationary max-stable, inverse max-stable and max-mixture processes $X=(X(s))\_{s\in\bR^2}$ and the damage function $\cD\_X^ν= |X|^ν$ with $0<ν<1/2$. We study the quantitative behavior of a risk measure which is the variance of the average of $\cD\_X^ν$ over a region $\mathcal{A}\subset \bR^2$.} This kind of risk measure has already been introduced and stud…

We study the quantitative behavior of a risk measure which is the variance of the average of $\cD\_X^ν$ over a region $\mathcal{A}\subset \bR^2$.} This kind of risk measure has already been introduced and studied for \vero{some} max-stable processes in \cite{koch2015spatial}. %\textcolor{red}{In this study, we generalised this risk measure to be applicable for several models: asymptotic dependence represented by max-stable, asymptotic independence represented by inverse max-stable and mixing between of them.} We evaluated the proposed risk measure by a simulation study.

We propose the use of structured natural language (English) in specifying service choreographies, focusing on the what rather than the how of the required coordination of participant services in realising a business application scenario. The declarative approach we propose uses the OMG standard Semantics of Business Vocabulary and Rules (SBVR) as a modelling language. The service choreography approach has been proposed for describing the global orderings of the invocations on interfaces of participant services. We therefore extend SBVR with a notion of time which can capture the coordination of the participant services, in terms of the observable message exchanges between them. The extension is done using existing modelling constructs in SBVR, and hence respects the standard specification. The idea is that users - domain specialists rather than implementation specialists - can verify the requested service composition by directly reading the structured English used by SBVR. At the same time, the SBVR model can be represented in formal logic so it can be parsed and executed by a machine.

Botnet is most widespread and occurs commonly in today's cyber attacks, resulting in serious threats to our network assets and organization's properties. Botnets are collections of compromised computers (Bots) which are remotely controlled by its originator (BotMaster) under a common Command-and-Control (C&C) infrastructure. They are used to distribute commands to the Bots for malicious activities such as distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, spam and phishing. Most of the existing Botnet detection approaches concentrate only on particular Botnet command and control (C&C) protocols (e.g., IRC,HTTP) and structures (e.g., centralized), and can become ineffective as Botnets change their structure and C&C techniques. In this paper at first we provide taxonomy of Botnets C&C channels and evaluate well-known protocols which are being used in each of them. Then we proposed a new general detection framework which currently focuses on P2P based and IRC based Botnets. This proposed framework is based on definition of Botnets. Botnet has been defined as a group of bots that perform similar communication and malicious activity patterns within the same Botnet. The point that distinguishes our proposed detection framework from many other similar works is that there is no need for prior knowledge of Botnets such as Botnet signature.
