Spatially Separated Self-Assembled Silver Dendrites for Highly Sensitive SERS Applications
Abstract: Even after more than four decades of rapid-pace advances, the adoption of Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) remains limited, due to the difficulties in fabrication of effective and affordable nanostructured surfaces or templates. From this point-of-view, self-assembly techniques of SERS substrates formation allowing fabrication of highly branched dendritic silver nanostructures, which are v… ▽ More

Toward an automated analysis of slow ions in nuclear track emulsion
Abstract: Application of the nuclear track emulsion technique (NTE) in radioactivity and nuclear fission studies is discussed. It is suggested to use a HSP-1000 automated microscope for searching for a collinear cluster tri-partition of heavy nuclei implanted in NTE. Calibrations of $α$-particles and ion ranges in a novel NTE are carried out. Surface exposures of NTE samples to a ${}^{252}$Cf source started… ▽ More

Charge Topology of the Coherent Dissociation of Relativistic C-11 and N-12 Nuclei
Abstract: The charge topology of coherent-dissociation events is presented for $^{11}$C and $^{12}$N nuclei of energy 1.2~\textit{A}~GeV per nucleon bombarding nuclear track emulsions. This topology is compared with respective data for $^{7}$Be, $^{8,10}$B, $^{9,10}$C and $^{14}$N nuclei.

$^8$He nuclei stopped in nuclear track emulsion
Abstract: The fragment separator ACCULINNA in the G. N. Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions of JINR was used to expose a nuclear track emulsion to a beam of radioactive $^{8}$He nuclei of energy of 60 MeV and enrichment of about 80%. Measurements of decays of $^{8}$He nuclei stopped in the emulsion allow one to evaluate possibilities of $α$-spectrometry and to observe a thermal drift of $^{8}$He atoms in… ▽ More

Clustering features of the $^7$Be nucleus in relativistic fragmentation
Abstract: Charge topology of fragmentation of 1.2 A GeV $^7$Be nuclei in nuclear track emulsion is presented. The dissociation channels $^4$He + $^3$He, 2$^3$He+ n, $^4$He + 2$^1$H are considered in detail. It is established that the events $^6$Be + n amount about to 27 % in the channel $^4$He + 2$^1$H.

Correlations of alpha-particles in splitting of C-12 nuclei by neutrons of energy of 14.1 MeV
Abstract: Correlations of $α$-particles are studied on statistics of 400 events of splitting $^{12}$C $\rightarrow$ 3$α$ in nuclear track emulsion exposed to $14.1 MeV$ neutrons. The ranges and emission angles of the $α$-particles are measured. Distributions over energy of $α$-particle pairs and triples are obtained.

Irradiation of Nuclear Track Emulsions with Thermal Neutrons, Heavy Ions, and Muons
Abstract: Exposures of test samples of nuclear track emulsion were analyzed. Angular and energy correlations of products originating from the thermal-neutron-induced reaction n$_{th} + ^{10}$B $\rightarrow ^{7}$Li $+ (γ) + α$ were studied in nuclear tack emulsions enriched in boron. Nuclear track emulsions were also irradiated with $^{86}$Kr$^{+17}$ and $^{132}$Xe$^{+26}$ of energy about 1.2 MeV per nucleon… ▽ More

Exposure of Nuclear Track Emulsion to He-8 Nuclei at the ACCULINNA Separator
Abstract: Nuclear track emulsion is exposed to a beam of radioactive $^8$He nuclei with an energy of 60 MeV and enrichment of about 80% at the ACCULINNA separator. Measurements of 278 decays of the $^8$He nuclei stopped in the emulsion allow the potential of the $α$ spectrometry to be estimated and the thermal drift of $^8$He atoms in matter to be observed for the first time.

Dissociation of C-10 Nuclei in a Track Nuclear Emulsion at an Energy of 1.2 GeV per Nucleon
Abstract: The charge topology in the fragmentation of $^{10}$C nuclei in a track nuclear emulsion at an energy of 1.2 GeV per nucleon is studied. In the coherent dissociation of $^{10}$C nuclei, about 82% of events are associated with the channel $^{10}$C $\rightarrow$ 2$α+$ 2\emph{p}. The angular distributions and correlations of product fragments are presented for this channel. It is found that among… ▽ More

The data presented for the nucleus $^9$Be can be considered as evidence that there is a core in its structure in the form of 0$^+$ and 2$^+$ states of the $^8$Be nucleus having roughly equal weights. Exposure of Nuclear Track Emulsion to a Mixed Beam of Relativistic $^{12}$N, $^{10}$C, and $^7$Be Nuclei
Abstract: A nuclear track emulsion was exposed to a mixed beam of relativistic $^{12}$N, $^{10}$C, and $^7$Be nuclei having a momentum of 2 GeV/$c$ per nucleon. The beam was formed upon charge exchange processes involving $^{12}$C primary nuclei and their fragmentation.
