Fitting's Heyting-valued logic and Heyting-valued modal logic have already been studied from an algebraic viewpoint. In addition to algebraic axiomatizations with the completeness of Fitting's Heyting-valued logic and Heyting-valued modal logic, both topological and coalgebraic dualities have also been developed for algebras of Fitting's Heyting-valued modal logic. Bitopological methods have recently been employed to investigate duality for Fitting's Heyting-valued logic. However, the concepts of bitopology and biVietoris coalgebras are conspicuously absent from the development of dualities for Fitting's many-valued modal logic. With this study, we try to bridge that gap. We develop a bitopological duality for algebras of Fitting's Heyting-valued modal logic. We construct a bi-Vietoris functor on the category $PBS_{\mathcal{L}}$ of $\mathcal{L}$-valued ($\mathcal{L}$ is a Heyting algebra) pairwise Boolean spaces. Finally, we obtain a dual equivalence between categories of biVietoris coalgebras and algebras of Fitting's Heyting-valued modal logic. As a result, we conclude that Fitting's many-valued modal logic is sound and complete with respect to the coalgebras of a biVietoris functor. We discuss the application of this coalgebraic approach to bitopological duality.

Dynamics of the driven Frenkel-Kontorova model with asymmetric deformable substrate potential is examined by analyzing response function, the largest Lyapunov exponent and Poincaré sections for two neighboring particles. The obtained results show that the largest Lyapunov exponent, besides being used for investigating integral quantities, can be used for detecting microchanges in chain configuration of both damped Frenkel-Kontorova model with inertial term and its strictly overdamped limit. Slight changes in relative positions of the particles are registered through jumps of the largest Lyapunov exponent in the pinning regime. The occurrence of such jumps is highly dependent on type of commensurate structure and deformation of substrate potential. The obtained results also show that the minimal force required to initiate collective motion of the chain is not dependent on the number of Lyapunov exponent jumps in the pinning regime. These jumps are also registered in the sliding regime, where they are a consequence of a more complex structure of largest Lyapunov exponent on the step.

We demonstrate that certain class of infinite sums can be calculated analytically starting from a specific quantum mechanical problem and using principles of quantum mechanics. For simplicity we illustrate the method by exploring the problem of a particle in a box. Twofold calculation of the mean value of energy for the polynomial wave function inside the well yields even argument $p$ ($p>2$) of Riemann zeta and related functions. This method can be applied to a wide class of exactly solvable quantum mechanical problems which may lead to different infinite sums. Besides, the analysis performed here provides deeper understanding of superposition principle and presents useful exercise for physics students.

We introduce the Scanning Single Shot Detector (ScanSSD) for locating math formulas offset from text and embedded in textlines. ScanSSD uses only visual features for detection: no formatting or typesetting information such as layout, font, or character labels are employed. Given a 600 dpi document page image, a Single Shot Detector (SSD) locates formulas at multiple scales using sliding windows, after which candidate detections are pooled to obtain page-level results. For our experiments we use the TFD-ICDAR2019v2 dataset, a modification of the GTDB scanned math article collection. ScanSSD detects characters in formulas with high accuracy, obtaining a 0.926 f-score, and detects formulas with high recall overall. Detection errors are largely minor, such as splitting formulas at large whitespace gaps (e.g., for variable constraints) and merging formulas on adjacent textlines. Formula detection f-scores of 0.796 (IOU $\geq0.5$) and 0.733 (IOU $\ge 0.75$) are obtained. Our data, evaluation tools, and code are publicly available.

We study the statistical fluctuations of Lyapunov exponents in the discrete version of the non-integrable perturbed sine-Gordon equation, the dissipative ac+dc driven Frenkel-Kontorova model. Our analysis shows that the fluctuations of the exponent spacings in the strictly overdamped limit, which is nonchaotic, conforms to the \textit{uncorrelated} Poisson distribution. By studying the spatiotemporal dynamics we relate the emergence of the Poissonian statistics to Middleton's no-passing rule. Next, by scanning over the dc driving and particle mass we identify several parameter regions for which this one-dimensional model exhibits hyperchaotic behavior. Furthermore, in the hyperchaotic regime where roughly fifty percent of exponents are positive, the fluctuations exhibit features of the \textit{correlated} universal statistics of the Gaussian Orthogonal Ensemble (GOE). Due to the dissipative nature of the dynamics, we find that the match, between the Lyapunov spectrum statistics and the universal statistics of GOE, is not complete. Finally, we present evidence supporting the existence of the Tracy-Widom distribution in the fluctuation statistics of the largest Lyapunov exponent.

In both cases model reduces to a single particle model for integer values of winding number. It is shown that the mirror image of the amplitude dependence of critical depinning force and largest Lyapunov exponent observed recently in the standard Frenkel-Kontorova model [Commun. Nonlinear Sci. Numer. Simul. 47, 100 (2017)] is not retained generally. Behaviour of systems with relatively strong interparticle force was examined and evidence for the appearance of mode-locking phenomenon in both directions of particles' motion is presented.

The model parameters are determined by fitting to experimental data obtained by inelastic electron scattering. Within the picture that relies on Frenkel-type excitons we obtain that theoretical dispersion curves along different directions in the Brillouin zone are in good agreement with the experimental data, suggesting that the influence of charge-transfer excitons on exciton dispersion of the analyzed organic solids is not as large as proposed. In reciprocal space directions where Davydov splitting is observed we employ the upgraded version of Hamiltonian used in Materials 11, 2219 (2018).

Appearance and origin of resonance phenomena have been studied in the annular system of underdamped Josephson junctions. If no fluxon is trapped in the system, dynamics is governed by the motion of fluxon-antifluxon pairs, while if trapped fluxons are present, they can move solely but also simultaneously with the pairs. Locking between the rotating excitations (fluxons and antifluxons) and the Josephson frequency leads to the appearance of zero field steps in the current-voltage characteristics, which can further exhibit branching due to resonance between the rotating excitations and plasma oscillations in their tale. The number of zero field steps and their branching are strongly determined by the total number of excitations present in the system. High resolution analysis further reveals not only some interesting properties of zero field steps, but also shows that the current-voltage characteristics is determined not only by the number, but also by the type of excitations, i.e., whether the dynamics is governed only by the motion of fluxon-antifluxon pairs or the trapped fluxons, or they move simultaneously in the system.

Examination of an annular system of underdamped Josephson junctions in the presence of external radiation showed that the ability of the system to lock with some external radiation was determined not only by the number but also by the type of rotating excitations (fluxons or antifluxons). Shapiro steps can be observed in the current-voltage characteristics only in the system with trapped fluxons or in the system with fluxon-antifluxon pairs. If the trapped fluxons circulate simultaneously with fluxon-antifluxon pairs, there are no Shapiro steps regardless of the amplitude or frequency of the applied external radiation.

We demonstrate on the example of the dc+ac driven overdamped Frenkel-Kontorova model that an easily calculable measure of complexity can be used for the examination of Shapiro steps in presence of thermal noise. In real systems, thermal noise causes melting or even disappearance of Shapiro steps, which makes their analysis in the standard way from the response function difficult. Unlike in the conventional approach, here, by calculating the Kolmogorov complexity of certain areas in the response function we were able to detect Shapiro steps, measure their size with desired precision and examine their temperature dependence. The aim of this work is to provide scientists, particularly experimentalists, an unconventional but a practical and easy tool for examination of Shapiro steps in real systems.

The values of exchange integrals are determined by the nonlinear fits to the experimental dispersion data obtained by inelastic electron scattering in Phys. Rev. Lett. \textbf{98}, 037402 (2007). We obtain theoretical dispersion curves along four different directions in the Brillouin zone which possess the same periodicity as the experimental data. We also showed that perturbative corrections are negligible since the exciton gap in dispersion relation is huge in comparison to exchange integrals.

Data simulated by a microscopic transport model based on ultra-relativistic quantum molecular dynamics are analyzed for the purpose. The centrality and pseudorapidity dependence of the net-charge fluctuation of hadrons are examined. Our simulated results are compared with the results available for nucleus-nucleus collision experiments held at similar energies. The gross features of our simulated results on net-charge fluctuations are found to be consistent with the experiment. At incident beam energy $E_{\rm lab}=10A$ GeV the magnitude of net-charge fluctuation is very large, and in comparison with the rest its centrality dependence appears to be a little unusual. The effect of global charge conservation is expected to be very crucial at FAIR energies. The charge fluctuations measured with varying pesudorapidity window size depend on the collision centrality. The dependence is however exactly opposite in nature to that observed in the Pb+Pb collision at $\sqrt{s_{_{NN}}}=2.76$ TeV.

Anisotropic flow of hadronic matter is considered as a sensitive tool to detect the early stage dynamics of high-energy heavy-ion collisions. Taking the event by event fluctuations of the collision geometry into account, the elliptic flow parameter and the triangular flow parameter derived from the azimuthal distribution of produced hadrons, are investigated within the framework of a multiphase transport (AMPT) model, at a collision energy that in near future will typically be available at the Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research. The dependence of elliptic and triangular flow parameters on initial fluctuations, on parton scattering cross-sections, their mass ordering on different hadron species and on the constituent quark number scaling are examined. The AMPT simulation can not exactly match the elliptic flow results on Pb + Pb collision at 40A GeV of the NA49 experiment. The simulation results presented in this work are expected to provide us with an insight to study flow properties at high baryonic density but moderate temperature, and also with an opportunity to compare similar results available from RHIC and LHC experiments.

Azimuthal distributions of radial velocities of charged hadrons produced in nucleus-nucleus $(AB)$ collisions are compared with the corresponding azimuthal distribution of charged hadron multiplicity in the framework of a multiphase transport (AMPT) model at two different collision energies. The mean radial velocity seems to be a good probe for studying radial expansion. While the anisotropic part of the distributions indicates a kind of collective nature of radial expansion, the isotropic part characterizes a thermal motion. The present investigation is carried out kee** the upcoming Compressed Baryonic Matter (CBM) experiment to be held at the Facility for Anti-proton Ion Research (FAIR) in mind. Dynamics of driven dissipative Frenkel-Kontorova model is examined by using largest Lyapunov exponent computational technique. Obtained results show that besides the usual way where behavior of the system in the presence of external forces is studied by analyzing its dynamical response function, the largest Lyapunov exponent analysis can represent a very convenient tool to examine system dynamics. In the dc driven systems, the critical depinning force for particular structure could be estimated by computing the largest Lyapunov exponent. In the dc+ac driven systems, if the substrate potential is the standard sinusoidal one, calculation of the largest Lyapunov exponent offers a more sensitive way to detect the presence of Shapiro steps. When the amplitude of the ac force is varied the behavior of the largest Lyapunov exponent in the pinned regime completely reflects the behavior of Shapiro steps and the critical depinning force, in particular, it represents the mirror image of the amplitude dependence of critical depinning force. This points out an advantage of this technique since by calculating the largest Lyapunov exponent in the pinned regime we can get an insight into the dynamics of the system when driving forces are applied.

The multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis technique is employed to analyze the time series of gold consumer price index (CPI) and the market trend of three world's highest gold consuming countries, namely China, India and Turkey for the period: 1993-July 2013. Various multifractal variables, such as the generalized Hurst exponent, the multifractal exponent and the singularity spectrum, are calculated and the results are fitted to the generalized binomial multifractal (GBM) series that consists of only two parameters. Special emphasis is given to identify the possible source(s) of multifractality in these series. Our analysis shows that the CPI series and all three market series are of multifractal nature. The origin of multifractality for the CPI time series and Indian market series is found due to a long-range time correlation, whereas it is mostly due to the fat-tailed probability distributions of the values for the Chinese and Turkey markets. The GBM model series more or less describes all the time series analyzed here.

Long-range correlation and fluctuation in the gold market time series of world's two leading gold consuming countries, namely China and India, are studied. For both the market series during the period 1985-2013 we observe a long-range persistence of memory in the sequences of maxima (minima) of returns in successive time windows of fixed length, but the series as a whole are found to be uncorrelated. Multifractal analysis for these series as well as for the sequences of maxima (minima) is carried out in terms of the multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis (MF-DFA) method. We observe a weak multifractal structure for the original series that is mainly originated from the fat-tailed probability distribution function of the values, and the multifractal nature of the original time series is enriched into their sequences of maximal (minimal) returns. A quantitative measure of multifractality is provided by using a set of "complexity parameters".

Multifractal structure of global monthly mean temperature anomaly time series over the period of 1850-2012 are studied in terms of the multifractal detrended moving average (MFDMA) analysis. We try to address the possible source(s) and the nature of multifractality in the time series data by comparing the results derived from the actual series with those from a set of shuffled and surrogate series. It is seen that the MFDMA method predicts a multifractal structure of the temperature anomaly records that is more or less similar to what was obtained from the multifractal detrended analysis for the same set of data. In our analysis the major contribution of multifractality in the data is found to be due to the long-range temporal correlation among the measurements, however the contribution of a fat-tail distribution function of the variables is not negligible. The existence of long-range correlation is also confirmed by the constancy of the local slopes of the fluctuation function over a sufficient scale intervals. The results of the moving average analysis are found to depend upon the location of the detrending window and tend to the observations of the multifractal detrended analysis for a specific choice of the location of the detrending window.

Largest Lyapunov exponent has been examined in the dynamical-mode locking phenomena of the ac+dc driven dissipative Frenkel-Kontorova model with deformable substrate potential. Due to deformation, large fractional and higher order subharmonic steps appear in the response function of the system. Computation of the largest Lyapunov exponent as a way to verify their presence led to the observation of the Farey sequence. In the standard regime, between the large harmonic steps, the appearance of halfinteger and subharmonic steps, and their relative sizes follow the Farey construction. In the nonstandard regime, though halfinteger steps are larger than harmonic ones, Farey construction is still present in the appearance of higher order subharmonic steps. The examination of Lyapunov exponents also shows that there is no chaos in the system.

Abstract:
Magnetic properties of spin $\frac 12$ $J_1-J_2$ Heisenberg antiferromagnet on body centered cubic lattice are investigated. By using two-time temperature Green's functions, sublattice magnetization and critical temperature depending on the frustration ratio $p=J_2/J_1$ are obtained in both stripe and Néel phase. The analysis of ground state sublattice magnetization and phase diagram indicates the…

Abstract:
We study the thermodynamics of classical Heisenberg model using the multipath approach to Metropolis algorithm Monte Carlo simulation. This simulation approach produces uncorrelated results with known precision. Also, it can be easily generalized to other classical models of magnetism. Comparing results obtained from multipath and from single--path simulations we demonstrate that these approaches…

Processor cores are becoming less expensive and thus more accessible. To utilize increasing number of available computing elements, good parallel algorithms are necessary. In light of these changes in contemporary computing, multipath Metropolis simulation of classical Heisenberg model is explored. In contrast to the original single-path algorithm, multipath simulation approach is inherently parallel because different random-walk paths are mutually independent. This independence enables easy and efficient harnessing of numerous cores' computing power in embarrassingly parallel algorithms. Aside form being inherently parallel, multipath simulation approach results in independent and normally distributed simulation output. Normal distribution enables simple and straightforward statistical processing. Thus, multipath simulation results can be easily computed with arbitrary and statistically known precision.

The fully energy damped (fusion-fission) and the partially energy damped (deep inelastic) components of the fragment energy spectra have been extracted. It has been found that the yields of the fully energy damped fragments for all the above reactions are in conformity with the respective statistical model predictions. The time scales of various deep inelastic fragment emissions have been extracted from the angular distribution data. The angular momentum dissipation in deep inelastic collisions has been estimated from the data and it has been found to be close to the corresponding sticking limit value.

The spectroscopic strengths as well as spectroscopic factors have been extracted for all the five states. The extracted strength values are compared with shell model calculations.

Fission fragment mass distribution has been measured from the decay of $^{246}$Bk nucleus populating via two entrance channels with slight difference in mass asymmetries but belonging on either side of the Businaro Gallone mass asymmetry parameter. Both the target nuclei were deformed. Near the Coulomb barrier, at similar excitation energies the width of the fission fragment mass distribution was found to be drastically different for the $^{14}$N + $^{232}$Th reaction compared to the $^{11}$B + $^{235}$U reaction. The entrance channel mass asymmetry was found to affect the fusion process sharply.
