The interplay between charge-density-wave (CDW) order and superconductivity (SC) in the Kagome metal RbV3Sb5 is studied by tracking the evolutions of their transition temperatures, T* and Tc, as a function of pressure (P) via measurements of resistivity and magnetic susceptibility under various hydrostatic pressures up to ~ 5 GPa. It is found that the CDW order at T* experiences a subtle modification at Pc1 ~ 1.5 GPa before it is completely suppressed around Pc2 ~ 2.4 GPa. Accordingly, the superconducting transition Tc(P) exhibits a shallow M-shaped double superconducting dome with two extrema of Tconset ~ 4.4 K and 3.9 K around Pc1 and Pc2, respectively, leading to a fourfold enhancement of Tc with respect to that at ambient pressure. The constructed T-P phase diagram of RbV3Sb5 resembles that of CsV3Sb5, and shares similar features as many other unconventional superconducting systems with intertwined competing electronic orders. The strong competition between CDW and SC is also evidenced by the broad superconducting transition width in the coexistent region. Our results shed more light on the intriguing physics involving intertwined electronic orders in this novel topological kagome metal family.

By combining angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and quantum oscillation measurements, we performed a comprehensive investigation on the electronic structure of LaSb, which exhibits near-quadratic extremely large magnetoresistance (XMR) without any sign of saturation at magnetic fields as high as 40 T. We clearly resolve one spherical and one intersecting-ellipsoidal hole Fermi surfaces (FSs) at the Brillouin zone (BZ) center $Γ$ and one ellipsoidal electron FS at the BZ boundary $X$. The hole and electron carriers calculated from the enclosed FS volumes are perfectly compensated, and the carrier compensation is unaffected by temperature. We further reveal that LaSb is topologically trivial but share many similarities with the Weyl semimetal TaAs family in the bulk electronic structure. Based on these results, we have examined the mechanisms that have been proposed so far to explain the near-quadratic XMR in semimetals.

Shubnikov-de Haas (SdH) oscillations under a dc current bias are experimentally studied on a Hall bar sample of single layer graphene. In dc resistance, the bias current shows the common dam** effect on the SdH oscillations and the effect can be well accounted for by an elevated electron temperature that is found to be linearly dependent on the current bias. In differential resistance, a novel phase inversion of the SdH oscillations has been observed with increasing dc bias, namely we observe the oscillation maxima develop into minima and vice versa. Moreover, it is found that the onset biasing current, at which a SdH extremum is about to invert, is linearly dependent on the magnetic field of the SdH extrema. These observations are quantitatively explained with the help of a general SdH formula.

We have studied anisotropic magnetoresistance (MR) and magnetization with rotating magnetic field (B) within $CuO_2$ plane in lightly doped AF $Nd_{2-x}Ce_xCuO_{4}$. \emph{A giant anisotropy} in MR is observed at low temperature below 5 K. The c-axis resistivity can be tuned about one order of magnitude just by changing B direction within $CuO_2$ plane and a scaling behavior between out-of-plane and in-plane MR is found. A "Spin valve" effect is proposed to understand the giant anisotropy of out-of-plane MR and the evolution of scaling parameters with the external field. It is found that the field-induced spin-flop transition of Nd$^{3+}$ layer under high magnetic field is the key to understand the giant anisotropy. These results suggest that a novel entanglement between charge and spin dominates the underlying physics.

Angular-dependent in-plane magnetoresistance (AMR) for single crystal $Na_{0.34}(H_3O)_{0.15}CoO_2$ with charge ordering is studied systematically. The anisotropic magnetoresistance shows a twofold symmetry at high temperature with rotating H in the Co-O plane, while a sixfold symmetry below a certain temperature ($T_ρ$). At $T_ρ$, the symmetry of AMR changes from twofold to fourfold with rotating magnetic field (H) in the plane consisting of the current and c-axis. The variation of AMR symmetry with temperature arises from the subtle changes of the spin structure. These results give a direct evidence for the itinerant electrons directly coupled to the localized spins.

A notable specific heat jump is observed at the superconducting transition temperature $T_c \sim 5.0$ K at zero field. Below $T_c$, the electronic specific heat shows a thermal activated behavior and agrees well with the theoretical result of the BCS s-wave superconductors. It indicates that the superconducting pairing in Li$_{0.68}$NbO$_2$ has s-wave symmetry.

The magnetic susceptibility in different magnetic fields, the magnetization at different temperatures, and the resistivity at room temperature were measured, respectively. It is found that the spin gap deduced from the magnetic susceptibility measurements decreases with increasing of $x$ in both Cu- and B-site substitution. We present the optical reflectance and conductivity spectra for non-oxide antiperovskite superconductor $MgCNi_{3}$ at different temperatures. The reflectance drops gradually over a large energy scale up to 33,000 cm$^{-1}$, with the presence of several wiggles. The reflectance has slight temperature dependence at low frequency but becomes temperature independent at high frequency. The optical conductivity shows a Drude response at low frequencies and four broad absorption features in the frequency range from 600 $cm^{-1}$ to 33,000 $cm^{-1}$. We illustrate that those features can be well understood from the intra- and interband transitions between different components of Ni 3d bands which are hybridized with C 2p bands. There is a good agreement between our experimental data and the first-principle band structure calculations.

We report measurements of the c-axis angular-dependent magnetoresistance (AMR) for a Na$_{0.48}$CoO$_{2}$ single crystal, with a magnetic field of 10 T rotating within Co-O planes. Below the metal-insulator transition temperature induced by the charge ordering, the oscillation of the AMR is dominated by a two-fold rotational symmetry. The amplitudes of the oscillation corresponding to the four- and six-fold rotational symmetries are distinctive in low temperatures, but they merge into the background simultaneously at about 25 K. The six-fold oscillation originates naturally from the lattice symmetry. The observation of the four-fold rotational symmetry is consistent with the picture proposed by Choy, et al., that the Co lattice in the charge ordered state will split into two orthorhombic sublattice with one occupied by Co$^{3+}$ ions and the other by Co$^{4+}$ ions. We have also measured the c-axis AMR for Na$_{0.35}$CoO$_{2}$ and Na$_{0.85}$CoO$_{2}$ single crystals, and found no evidence for the existence of two- and four-fold symmetries.

One of striking feature is an anisotropy of the MR with a fourfold symmetry upon rotating the external field (B) within ab plane in the different phases, while twofold symmetry at spin reorientation transition temperatures. The intriguing thermal hysteresis in $ρ_c(T,B)$ and magnetic hysteresis in MR are observed at spin reorientation transition temperatures.

We report the magnetization, specific heat and transport measurements of high quality Na$_{0.85}$CoO$_2$ single crystals in applied magnetic fields up to 14T. In high temperatures, the system is in a paramagnetic phase. It undergoes a magnetic phase transition below about 20K. When the field is applied along the c-axis, the measurement data of magnetization, specific heat and magnetoresistance reveal a metamagnetic transition from an antiferromagnetic state to a quasi-ferromagnetic state at about 8T in low temperatures. However, no transition is observed in the magnetization measurements up to 14T when the field is applied perpendicular to the c-axis. The low temperature magnetic phase diagram of Na$_{0.85}$CoO$_2$ is determined.
