Illustrated benchmark calculations include P38 protein, and solvent model with one or several excitable centers. The results show that the improved ML-assisted coded calculations can further improve the load-balancing and cluster utilization, and owing primarily profit in fault tolerance that aiming at the automated quantum chemical calculations for both ground and excited states.

Using 24.1 fb$^{-1}$ of $e^{+}e^{-}$ collision data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the Born cross sections and effective form factors of the $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrowΣ^{+}\barΣ^{-}$ reaction are measured. The measurements are performed at center-of-mass energies ranging from 3.510 to 4.951 GeV. No significant evidence for the decay of the charmonium(-like) states, $ψ(3770)$, $ψ(4040)$, $ψ(4160)$, $Y(4230)$, $Y(4360)$, $ψ(4415)$, and $Y(4660)$, into a $Σ^{+}\barΣ^{-}$ final state is observed. Consequently, upper limits for the products of the branching fractions and the electronic partial widths at the 90% confidence level are reported for these decays.

This result is lower than the naive prediction of 67\%, obtained from isospin symmetry, by more than $2σ$, thereby indicating that the novel mechanism referred to as the \textit{threshold effect}, proposed for the strong decays of $Λ_{c}(2595)^{+}$, also applies to $Λ_{c}(2625)^{+}$. This measurement is necessary to obtain the coupling constants for the transitions between $s$-wave and $p$-wave charmed baryons in heavy hadron chiral perturbation theory. In addition, we search for the decay $Λ_{c}(2595)^{+}\to Λ^{+}_{c}π^+π^-$. No significant signal is observed, and the upper limit on its branching fraction is determined to be 80.8\% at the 90\% confidence level.

Within the single pole model, the parameter of electromagnetic transition form factor for $η\rightarrowγe^+e^-$ is determined to be $Λ_η=(0.749 \pm 0.027 \pm 0.007)~ {\rm GeV}/c^{2}$. The results are consistent with both theoretical predictions and previous measurements. The characteristic sizes of the interaction regions for the $η$ and $η'$ are calculated to be $(0.645 \pm 0.023 \pm 0.007 )~ {\rm fm}$ and $(0.596 \pm 0.005 \pm 0.006)~ {\rm fm}$, respectively. Clear signals are observed for the two reactions. The cross sections in $-0.9\leq\rm{cos}θ_{Λ/\barΛ}\leq0.9$ are measured to be $σ(Λp\rightarrowΛp)=(12.2\pm1.6_{\rm{stat}}\pm1.1_{\rm{sys}})$ mb and $σ(\barΛ p\rightarrow\barΛ p)=(17.5\pm2.1_{\rm{stat}}\pm1.6_{\rm{sys}})$ mb at the $Λ/\barΛ$ momentum of $1.074$ GeV/$c$ within a range of $\pm0.017$ GeV/$c$, where the $θ_{Λ/\barΛ}$ are the scattering angles of the $Λ/\barΛ$ in the $Λp/\barΛp$ rest frames. Furthermore, the differential cross sections of the two reactions are also measured, where there is a slight tendency of forward scattering for $Λp\rightarrowΛp$, and a strong forward peak for $\barΛp\rightarrow\barΛp$. We present an approach to extract the total elastic cross sections by extrapolation. The study of $\barΛp\rightarrow\barΛp$ represents the first study of antihyperon-nucleon scattering, and these new measurements will serve as important inputs for the theoretical understanding of the (anti)hyperon-nucleon interaction.

The discovery of active IPv6 addresses represents a pivotal challenge in IPv6 network survey, as it is a prerequisite for downstream tasks such as network topology measurements and security analysis. With the rapid spread of IPv6 networks in recent years, many researchers have focused on improving the hit rate, efficiency, and coverage of IPv6 scanning methods, resulting in considerable advancements. However, existing approaches remain heavily dependent on seed addresses, thereby limiting their effectiveness in unseeded prefixes. Consequently, this paper proposes 6Rover, a reinforcement learning-based model for active address discovery in unseeded environments. To overcome the reliance on seeded addresses, 6Rover constructs patterns with higher generality that reflects the actual address allocation strategies of network administrators, thereby avoiding biased transfers of patterns from seeded to unseeded prefixes. After that, 6Rover employs a multi-armed bandit model to optimize the probing resource allocation when applying patterns to unseeded spaces. It models the challenge of discovering optimal patterns in unseeded spaces as an exploration-exploitation dilemma, and progressively uncover the potential patterns applied in unseeded spaces, leading to the efficient discovery of active addresses without seed address as the prior knowledge. Experiments on large-scale unseeded datasets show that 6Rover has a higher hit rate than existing methods in the absence of any seed addresses as prior knowledge. In real network environments, 6Rover achieved a 5% - 8% hit rate in seedless spaces with 100 million budget scale, representing an approximate 200\% improvement over the existing state-of-the-art methods.

Existing Global Path Planning (GPP) algorithms predominantly presume planning in static environments. This assumption immensely limits their applications to Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) that typically navigate in dynamic environments. To address this limitation, we present OkayPlan, a GPP algorithm capable of generating safe and short paths in dynamic scenarios at a real-time executing speed (125 Hz on a desktop-class computer). Specifically, we approach the challenge of dynamic obstacle avoidance by formulating the path planning problem as an Obstacle Kinematics Augmented Optimization Problem (OKAOP), which can be efficiently resolved through a PSO-based optimizer at a real-time speed. Meanwhile, a Dynamic Prioritized Initialization (DPI) mechanism that adaptively initializes potential solutions for the optimization problem is established to further ameliorate the solution quality. Additionally, a relaxation strategy that facilitates the autonomous tuning of OkayPlan's hyperparameters in dynamic environments is devised. Comprehensive experiments, including comparative evaluations, ablation studies, and \textcolor{black}{applications to 3D physical simulation platforms}, have been conducted to substantiate the efficacy of our approach. Results indicate that OkayPlan outstrips existing methods in terms of path safety, length optimality, and computational efficiency, establishing it as a potent GPP technique for dynamic environments. However, in some special fields such as the military field, free-hand sketches are difficult to sample on a large scale. Common data augmentation and image generation techniques are difficult to produce images with various free-hand sketching styles. Therefore, the recognition and segmentation tasks in related fields are limited. In this paper, we propose a novel adversarial generative network that can accurately generate realistic free-hand sketches with various styles. We explore the performance of the model, including using styles randomly sampled from a prior normal distribution to generate images with various free-hand sketching styles, disentangling the painters' styles from known free-hand sketches to generate images with specific styles, and generating images of unknown classes that are not in the training set. We further demonstrate with qualitative and quantitative evaluations our advantages in visual quality, content accuracy, and style imitation on SketchIME.

Gesture recognition is an indispensable component of natural and efficient human-computer interaction technology, particularly in desktop-level applications, where it can significantly enhance people's productivity. However, the current gesture recognition community lacks a suitable desktop-level (top-view perspective) dataset for lightweight gesture capture devices. In this study, we have established a dataset named GR4DHCI. What distinguishes this dataset is its inherent naturalness, intuitive characteristics, and diversity. Its primary purpose is to serve as a valuable resource for the development of desktop-level portable applications. GR4DHCI comprises over 7,000 gesture samples and a total of 382,447 frames for both Stereo IR and skeletal modalities. We also address the variances in hand positioning during desktop interactions by incorporating 27 different hand positions into the dataset. Building upon the GR4DHCI dataset, we conducted a series of experimental studies, the results of which demonstrate that the fine-grained classification blocks proposed in this paper can enhance the model's recognition accuracy. Our dataset and experimental findings presented in this paper are anticipated to propel advancements in desktop-level gesture recognition research.

How to effectively exploit spatio-temporal information is crucial to capture target appearance changes in visual tracking. However, most deep learning-based trackers mainly focus on designing a complicated appearance model or template updating strategy, while lacking the exploitation of context between consecutive frames and thus entailing the \textit{when-and-how-to-update} dilemma. To address these issues, we propose a novel explicit visual prompts framework for visual tracking, dubbed \textbf{EVPTrack}. Specifically, we utilize spatio-temporal tokens to propagate information between consecutive frames without focusing on updating templates. As a result, we cannot only alleviate the challenge of \textit{when-to-update}, but also avoid the hyper-parameters associated with updating strategies. Then, we utilize the spatio-temporal tokens to generate explicit visual prompts that facilitate inference in the current frame. The prompts are fed into a transformer encoder together with the image tokens without additional processing. Consequently, the efficiency of our model is improved by avoiding \textit{how-to-update}. In addition, we consider multi-scale information as explicit visual prompts, providing multiscale template features to enhance the EVPTrack's ability to handle target scale changes. Extensive experimental results on six benchmarks (i.e., LaSOT, LaSOT\rm $_{ext}$, GOT-10k, UAV123, TrackingNet, and TNL2K.) validate that our EVPTrack can achieve competitive performance at a real-time speed by effectively exploiting both spatio-temporal and multi-scale information. The full data set of the Daya Bay reactor neutrino experiment is used to probe the effect of the charged current non-standard interactions (CC-NSI) on neutrino oscillation experiments. Two different approaches are applied and constraints on the corresponding CC-NSI parameters are obtained with the neutrino flux taken from the Huber-Mueller model with a $5\%$ uncertainty. For the quantum mechanics-based approach (QM-NSI), the constraints on the CC-NSI parameters $ε_{eα}$ and $ε_{eα}^{s}$ are extracted with and without the assumption that the effects of the new physics are the same in the production and detection processes, respectively. The approach based on the weak effective field theory (WEFT-NSI) deals with four types of CC-NSI represented by the parameters $[\varepsilon_{X}]_{eα}$. For both approaches, the results for the CC-NSI parameters are shown for cases with various fixed values of the CC-NSI and the Dirac CP-violating phases, and when they are allowed to vary freely. We find that constraints on the QM-NSI parameters $ε_{eα}$ and $ε_{eα}^{s}$ from the Daya Bay experiment alone can reach the order $\mathcal{O}(0.01)$ for the former and $\mathcal{O}(0.1)$ for the latter, while for WEFT-NSI parameters $[\varepsilon_{X}]_{eα}$, we obtain $\mathcal{O}(0.1)$ for both cases.

Characterizing the indistinguishability of photons is a key task in quantum photonics, underpinning the tuning and stabilization of the photon sources and thereby increasing the accuracy of quantum operations. The protocols for measuring the degree of indistinguishability conventionally require photon-coincidence measurements at several different time or phase delays, which is a fundamental bottleneck towards the fast measurements and real-time monitoring of indistinguishability. Here, we develop a static dielectric metasurface grating without any reconfigurable elements that realizes a tailored multiport transformation in the free-space configuration without the need for phase locking and enables single-shot characterization of the indistinguishability between two photons in multiple degrees of freedom including time, spectrum, spatial modes, and polarization. Topology optimization is employed to design a silicon metasurface with polarization independence, high transmission, and high tolerance to measurement noise. We fabricate the metasurface and experimentally quantify the indistinguishability of photons in the time domain with fidelity over 98.4\%. We anticipate that the developed framework based on ultrathin metasurfaces can be further extended for multi-photon states and additional degrees of freedom associated with spatial modalities.

We observe a new resonance $\mathcal R(3810)$ in the cross sections for the first time, and observe the $\mathcal R(3760)$ resonance with high significance in the cross sections. The $\mathcal R(3810)$ has a mass of $(3804.5 \pm 0.9 \pm 0.9)$ ~MeV/$c^2$, a total width of $(5.4 \pm 3.5 \pm 3.2)$~MeV, and an electronic partial width of $(19.4 \pm 7.4 \pm 12.1)$~eV. Its significance is $7.7σ$. The $\mathcal R(3810)$ could be interpreted as a hadro-charmonium resonance predicted by Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). In addition, we measure the mass $(3751.9\pm 3.8\pm 2.8)$ ~MeV/$c^2$, the total width $(32.8 \pm 5.8 \pm 8.7)$~MeV, and the electronic partial width $(184\pm 75\pm 86)$~eV with improved precision for the $\mathcal R(3760)$. Furthermore, for the $\mathcal R(3780)$ we measure the mass $(3778.7\pm 0.5\pm 0.3)$ ~MeV/$c^2$ and total width $(20.3 \pm 0.8 \pm 1.7)$~MeV with improved precision, and the electronic partial width $(265\pm 69\pm 83)$~eV. The $\mathcal R(3780)$ can be interpreted as the $1^3D_1$ state of charmonium. Its mass and total width differ significantly from the corresponding fitted values given by the Particle Data Group in 2022 by 7.1 and 3.2 times the uncertainties for $ψ(3770)$, respectively. $ψ(3770)$ has been interpreted as the $1^3D_1$ state for 45 years.

Large language models (LLMs) have achieved impressive linguistic capabilities. However, a key limitation persists in their lack of human-like memory faculties. LLMs exhibit constrained memory retention across sequential interactions, hindering complex reasoning. This paper explores the potential of applying cognitive psychology's working memory frameworks, to enhance LLM architecture. The limitations of traditional LLM memory designs are analyzed, including their isolation of distinct dialog episodes and lack of persistent memory links. To address this, an innovative model is proposed incorporating a centralized Working Memory Hub and Episodic Buffer access to retain memories across episodes. This architecture aims to provide greater continuity for nuanced contextual reasoning during intricate tasks and collaborative scenarios. While promising, further research is required into optimizing episodic memory encoding, storage, prioritization, retrieval, and security. Overall, this paper provides a strategic blueprint for develo** LLM agents with more sophisticated, human-like memory capabilities, highlighting memory mechanisms as a vital frontier in artificial general intelligence.

The edge intelligence (EI) has been widely applied recently. Spliting the model between device, edge server, and cloud can improve the performance of EI greatly. The model segmentation without user mobility has been investigated deeply by previous works. However, in most use cases of EI, the end devices are mobile. Only a few works have been carried out on this aspect. These works still have many issues, such as ignoring the energy consumption of mobile device, inappropriate network assumption, and low effectiveness on adaptiving user mobility, etc. Therefore, for addressing the disadvantages of model segmentation and resource allocation in previous works, we propose mobility and cost aware model segmentation and resource allocation algorithm for accelerating the inference at edge (MCSA). Specfically, in the scenario without user mobility, the loop interation gradient descent (Li-GD) algorithm is provided. When the mobile user has a large model inference task needs to be calculated, it will take the energy consumption of mobile user, the communication and computing resource renting cost, and the inference delay into account to find the optimal model segmentation and resource allocation strategy. In the scenario with user mobility, the mobiity aware Li-GD (MLi-GD) algorithm is proposed to calculate the optimal strategy. Then, the properties of the proposed algorithms are investigated, including convergence, complexity, and approximation ratio. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

Splitting the inference model between device, edge server, and cloud can improve the performance of EI greatly. Additionally, the non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), which is the key supporting technologies of B5G/6G, can achieve massive connections and high spectrum efficiency. Motivated by the benefits of NOMA, integrating NOMA with model split in MEC to reduce the inference latency further becomes attractive. However, the NOMA based communication during split inference has not been properly considered in previous works. Therefore, in this paper, we integrate the NOMA into split inference in MEC, and propose the effective communication and computing resource allocation algorithm to accelerate the model inference at edge. Specifically, when the mobile user has a large model inference task needed to be calculated in the NOMA-based MEC, it will take the energy consumption of both device and edge server and the inference latency into account to find the optimal model split strategy, subchannel allocation strategy (uplink and downlink), and transmission power allocation strategy (uplink and downlink). Since the minimum inference delay and energy consumption cannot be satisfied simultaneously, and the variables of subchannel allocation and model split are discrete, the gradient descent (GD) algorithm is adopted to find the optimal tradeoff between them. Moreover, the loop iteration GD approach (Li-GD) is proposed to reduce the complexity of GD algorithm that caused by the parameter discrete. Additionally, the properties of the proposed algorithm are also investigated, which demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

Mobile edge computing (MEC) can reduce the latency of cloud computing successfully. However, the edge server may fail due to the hardware of software issues. When the edge server failure happens, the users who offload tasks to this server will be affected. How to recover the services for these affected users quickly and effectively is challenging. Moreover, considering that the server failure is continuous and temporary, and the failed server can be repaired, the previous works cannot handle this problem effectively. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the fast, online, distributed, and temporary failure recovery algorithm (FODT) for MEC. In FODT, when edge sever failure happens, only the affected APs recalculate their user-server allocation strategies and the other APs do not change their strategies. For the affected access points (Aps), the strategies before server failure are reused to reduce complexity and latency. When the failed server is repaired, the influenced APs reuse the strategies before server failure to offload task to this server. Based on this approach, the FODT can achieve better performance than previous works. To the best of knowledge, the FODT is the first failure recovery algorithm, and when compared with previous research, it has higher failure recovery efficiency and lower complexity with acceptable approximate ratio.

Human image editing includes tasks like changing a person's pose, their clothing, or editing the image according to a text prompt. However, prior work often tackles these tasks separately, overlooking the benefit of mutual reinforcement from learning them jointly. In this paper, we propose UniHuman, a unified model that addresses multiple facets of human image editing in real-world settings. To enhance the model's generation quality and generalization capacity, we leverage guidance from human visual encoders and introduce a lightweight pose-war** module that can exploit different pose representations, accommodating unseen textures and patterns. Furthermore, to bridge the disparity between existing human editing benchmarks with real-world data, we curated 400K high-quality human image-text pairs for training and collected 2K human images for out-of-domain testing, both encompassing diverse clothing styles, backgrounds, and age groups. Experiments on both in-domain and out-of-domain test sets demonstrate that UniHuman outperforms task-specific models by a significant margin. In user studies, UniHuman is preferred by the users in an average of 77% of cases. Our project is available at https://github.com/NannanLi999/UniHuman.

A pioneering secure transmission scheme is proposed, which harnesses movable antennas (MAs) to optimize antenna positions for augmenting the physical layer security. Particularly, an MA-enabled secure wireless system is considered, where a multi-antenna transmitter communicates with a single-antenna receiver in the presence of an eavesdropper. The beamformer and antenna positions at the transmitter are jointly optimized under two criteria: power consumption minimization and secrecy rate maximization. For each scenario, a novel suboptimal algorithm was proposed to tackle the resulting nonconvex optimization problem, capitalizing on the approaches of alternating optimization and gradient descent. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed MA systems significantly improve physical layer security compared to various benchmark schemes relying on conventional fixed-position antennas (FPAs).

Speech bandwidth extension (BWE) has demonstrated promising performance in enhancing the perceptual speech quality in real communication systems. Most existing BWE researches primarily focus on fixed upsampling ratios, disregarding the fact that the effective bandwidth of captured audio may fluctuate frequently due to various capturing devices and transmission conditions. In this paper, we propose a novel streaming adaptive bandwidth extension solution dubbed BAE-Net, which is suitable to handle the low-resolution speech with unknown and varying effective bandwidth. To address the challenges of recovering both the high-frequency magnitude and phase speech content blindly, we devise a dual-stream architecture that incorporates the magnitude inpainting and phase refinement. For potential applications on edge devices, this paper also introduces BAE-NET-lite, which is a lightweight, streaming and efficient framework. Quantitative results demonstrate the superiority of BAE-Net in terms of both performance and computational efficiency when compared with existing state-of-the-art BWE methods.

Transition-edge sensors (TESs) are sensitive devices for detecting photons from millimeter radiation to gamma rays. Their photon counting efficiency and collecting area benefit from large-array multiplexing scheme, and therefore the development of multiplexing readout system has been an important topic in this field. Among the many multiplex techniques, time-division multiplexing (TDM) superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) has been used most widely for TES readout. In this work, we design a Configurable Ultra-Low Noise Current Source (CLCS) for TES characterization and as a part of a whole TDM-TES bias control system. The CLCS is based on the feedback structure of ultra-low noise instrumentation amplifiers and low-noise, high-resolution (20 bits) digital-to-analog converter (DAC). CLCS has an ultra-high resolution of 10 nA in the 0 to 5 mA current output range, and can perform current-voltage (IV) sweep and bias-step tests to measure key TES parameters on board. The feedback structure of the CLCS also avoids the issue of impedance mismatch.

The pair production cross sections and the effective form factors of $Σ$ are measured in eleven $Σ^{+}\barΣ^{-}$ invariant mass intervals from threshold to 3.04 GeV/$c^2$. The results are consistent with the previous results from Belle and BESIII. Furthermore, the branching fractions of the decays $J/ψ\toΣ^{+}\barΣ^{-}$ and $ψ(3686)\toΣ^{+}\barΣ^{-}$ are determined and the obtained results are consistent with the previous results of BESIII.

Graph computing has become increasingly crucial in processing large-scale graph data, with numerous systems developed for this purpose. Two years ago, we introduced GraphScope as a system addressing a wide array of graph computing needs, including graph traversal, analytics, and learning in one system. Since its inception, GraphScope has achieved significant technological advancements and gained widespread adoption across various industries. However, one key lesson from this journey has been understanding the limitations of a "one-size-fits-all" approach, especially when dealing with the diversity of programming interfaces, applications, and data storage formats in graph computing. In response to these challenges, we present GraphScope Flex, the next iteration of GraphScope. GraphScope Flex is designed to be both resource-efficient and cost-effective, while also providing flexibility and user-friendliness through its LEGO-like modularity. This paper explores the architectural innovations and fundamental design principles of GraphScope Flex, all of which are direct outcomes of the lessons learned during our ongoing development process. We validate the adaptability and efficiency of GraphScope Flex with extensive evaluations on synthetic and real-world datasets. The results show that GraphScope Flex achieves 2.4X throughput and up to 55.7X speedup over other systems on the LDBC Social Network and Graphalytics benchmarks, respectively. Furthermore, GraphScope Flex accomplishes up to a 2,400X performance gain in real-world applications, demonstrating its proficiency across a wide range of graph computing scenarios with increased effectiveness.

Agent-based modeling and simulation has evolved as a powerful tool for modeling complex systems, offering insights into emergent behaviors and interactions among diverse agents. Integrating large language models into agent-based modeling and simulation presents a promising avenue for enhancing simulation capabilities. This paper surveys the landscape of utilizing large language models in agent-based modeling and simulation, examining their challenges and promising future directions. In this survey, since this is an interdisciplinary field, we first introduce the background of agent-based modeling and simulation and large language model-empowered agents. We then discuss the motivation for applying large language models to agent-based simulation and systematically analyze the challenges in environment perception, human alignment, action generation, and evaluation. Most importantly, we provide a comprehensive overview of the recent works of large language model-empowered agent-based modeling and simulation in multiple scenarios, which can be divided into four domains: cyber, physical, social, and hybrid, covering simulation of both real-world and virtual environments. Finally, since this area is new and quickly evolving, we discuss the open problems and promising future directions.

We investigate a two-stage competitive model involving multiple contests. In this model, each contest designer chooses two participants from a pool of candidate contestants and determines the biases. Contestants strategically distribute their efforts across various contests within their budget. We first show the existence of a pure strategy Nash equilibrium (PNE) for the contestants, and propose a polynomial-time algorithm to compute an $ε$-approximate PNE. In the scenario where designers simultaneously decide the participants and biases, the subgame perfect equilibrium (SPE) may not exist. Nonetheless, when designers' decisions are made in two substages, the existence of SPE is established. In the scenario where designers can hold multiple contests, we show that the SPE exists under mild conditions and can be computed efficiently.

This paper examines the effects of daily exercise time on the academic performance of junior high school students in China, with an attempt to figure out the most appropriate daily exercise time for students from the perspective of improving students' test scores. By dividing the daily exercise time into five sections to construct a categorical variable in a linear regression model as well as using another model to draw intuitive figures, I find that spending both too little and too much time on physical activity every day would have adverse impacts on students' academic performance, with differences existing in the impacts by gender, grade, city scale, and location type of the school. The findings of this paper carry implications for research, school health and education policy and physical and general education practice. The results also provide recommendations for students, parents and teachers.

The ratio of neutral-to-charged kaon form factors at large momentum transfers ($12~{\rm GeV}^2<Q^2<25~{\rm GeV}^2$) is determined to be $0.21\pm 0.01$, which indicates a small but significant effect of flavor-SU(3) breaking in the kaon wave function, and consequently excludes the possibility that flavor-SU(3) breaking is the primary reason for the strong experimental violation of the pQCD prediction $|F(π^{\pm})|/|F(K^{\pm})|=f^2_π/f^2_{K}$, where $F(π^{\pm})$ and $F(K^{\pm})$ are the form factors, and $f_π$ and $f_{K}$ are the decay constants of charged pions and kaons, respectively. We also observe a significant signal for the charmless decay $ψ(3770)\to K_S^0K_L^0$ for the first time. Within a $1σ$ contour of the likelihood value, the the branching fraction for $ψ(3770)\to K_S^0K_L^0$ is determined to be ${\cal B}=(2.63_{-1.59}^{+1.40})\times 10^{-5}$, and the relative phase between the continuum and $ψ(3770)$ amplitudes is $φ=(-0.39_{-0.10}^{+0.05})π$. The branching fraction is in good agreement with the $\mathcal{S}$- and $\mathcal{D}$-wave charmonia mixing scheme proposed in the interpretation of the "$ρπ$ puzzle" between $J/ψ$ and $ψ(3686)$ decays.

Ocean and climate research benefits from global ocean observation initiatives such as Argo, GLOSS, and EMSO. The Argo network, dedicated to ocean profiling, generates a vast volume of observatory data. However, data quality issues from sensor malfunctions and transmission errors necessitate stringent quality assessment. Existing methods, including machine learning, fall short due to limited labeled data and imbalanced datasets. To address these challenges, we propose an ODEAL framework for ocean data quality assessment, employing AL to reduce human experts' workload in the quality assessment workflow and leveraging outlier detection algorithms for effective model initialization. We also conduct extensive experiments on five large-scale realistic Argo datasets to gain insights into our proposed method, including the effectiveness of AL query strategies and the initial set construction approach. The results suggest that our framework enhances quality assessment efficiency by up to 465.5% with the uncertainty-based query strategy compared to random sampling and minimizes overall annotation costs by up to 76.9% using the initial set built with outlier detectors.

Visual programming provides beginner-level programmers with a coding-free experience to build their customized pipelines. Existing systems require users to build a pipeline entirely from scratch, implying that novice users need to set up and link appropriate nodes all by themselves, starting from a blank workspace. We present InstructPipe, an AI assistant that enables users to start prototy** machine learning (ML) pipelines with text instructions. We designed two LLM modules and a code interpreter to execute our solution. LLM modules generate pseudocode of a target pipeline, and the interpreter renders a pipeline in the node-graph editor for further human-AI collaboration. Technical evaluations reveal that InstructPipe reduces user interactions by 81.1% compared to traditional methods. Our user study (N=16) showed that InstructPipe empowers novice users to streamline their workflow in creating desired ML pipelines, reduce their learning curve, and spark innovative ideas with open-ended commands.

Non-zero cross sections are observed very close to the production threshold. The measured Born cross sections of $e^+e^-\to Λ_{c}^+ \barΛ_{c}(2625)^- + \rm{c.c.}$ are about $2\sim3$ times greater than those of $e^+e^-\to Λ_{c}^+ \barΛ_{c}(2595)^- + \rm{c.c.}$, thereby indicating that the exotic structure potentially exists in the excited charmed baryons. The Born cross sections are $15.6\pm3.1\pm0.9$ pb and $29.4\pm3.7\pm2.7$ pb for $e^+e^-\to Λ_{c}^+ \barΛ_{c}(2595)^- + \rm{c.c.}$, and are $43.4\pm4.0\pm4.1$ pb and $76.8\pm6.5\pm4.2$ pb for $e^+e^-\to Λ_{c}^+ \barΛ_{c}(2625)^- +\rm{c.c.}$ at $\sqrt s=4918.0$ and 4950.9 MeV, respectively. Based on the polar angle distributions of the $\barΛ_{c}(2625)^-$ and $Λ_{c}(2625)^+$, the form-factor ratios $\sqrt{|G_{E}|^2 + 3|G_{M}|^2}/|G_{C}|$ are determined for $e^+e^-\to Λ_{c}^+ \barΛ_{c}(2625)^- + \rm{c.c.}$ for the first time, which are $5.95\pm4.07\pm0.15$ and $0.94\pm0.32\pm0.02$ at $\sqrt s=4918.0$ and 4950.9 MeV, respectively. All of these first uncertainties are statistical and second systematic.

At low temperatures, colloidal particles with short-range attractive and long-range repulsive interactions can form various periodic microphases in bulk.In this paper, we investigate the self-assembly behaviour of colloids with competing interactions under spherical confinement by conducting molecular dynamics simulations. We find that the cluster, mixture, cylindrical, perforated lamellar and lamellar structures can be obtained, but the details of the ordered structures are different from those in bulk systems. Interestingly, the system tends to form more perforated structures when confined in smaller spheres. The mechanism behind this phenomenon is the relationship between the energy of the ordered structures and the bending of the confinement wall, which is different from the mechanism in copolymer systems.

Galaxy-galaxy strong gravitational lens (GGSL) is a powerful probe for the formation and evolution of galaxies and cosmology, while the sample size of GGSLs leads to considerable uncertainties and potential bias. The China Space Station Telescope (CSST, planned to be launched in 2025) will conduct observations across 17,500 square degrees of the sky, capturing images in the $ugriz$ bands with a spatial resolution comparable to that of the Hubble Space Telescope (HST). We ran a set of Monte Carlo simulations to predict that the CSST's wide-field survey will observe $\sim$160,000 galaxy-galaxy strong lenses over the lifespan, expanding the number of existing galaxy-galaxy lens samples by three orders of magnitude, which is comparable to the Euclid telescope launched during the same period but with additional color information. Specifically, the CSST can detect strong lenses with Einstein radii above $0.64\pm0.42$ arcsec, corresponding to the velocity dispersions of $217.19 \pm 50.55 \, \text{km/s}$. These lenses exhibit a median magnification of $\sim$5. The apparent magnitude of the unlensed source in the g-band is $25.87 \pm 1.19$. The signal-to-noise ratio of the lensed images covers a range of $\sim 20$ to $\sim 1000$, allowing us to determine the Einstein radius with an accuracy ranging from $\sim 1 \%$ to $\sim 0.1 \%$, ignoring various modeling systematics. Besides, our estimations show that CSST can observe uncommon systems, such as double source-plane and spiral galaxy lenses. The above selection functions of the CSST strong lensing observation help optimize the strategy of finding and modeling GGSLs.

In this paper, we develop a computationally-efficient approach to minimum-time trajectory optimization using input-output data-based models, to produce an end-to-end data-to-control solution to time-optimal planning/control of dynamic systems and hence facilitate their autonomous operation. The approach integrates a non-parametric data-based model for trajectory prediction and a continuous optimization formulation based on an exponential weighting scheme for minimum-time trajectory planning. The optimization problem in its final form is a linear program and is easy to solve. We validate the approach and illustrate its application with a spacecraft relative motion planning problem.

In this paper, we introduce a new class of parameterized controllers, drawing inspiration from Model Predictive Control (MPC). The controller resembles a Quadratic Programming (QP) solver of a linear MPC problem, with the parameters of the controller being trained via Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) rather than derived from system models. This approach addresses the limitations of common controllers with Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) or other general neural network architecture used in DRL, in terms of verifiability and performance guarantees, and the learned controllers possess verifiable properties like persistent feasibility and asymptotic stability akin to MPC. On the other hand, numerical examples illustrate that the proposed controller empirically matches MPC and MLP controllers in terms of control performance and has superior robustness against modeling uncertainty and noises. Furthermore, the proposed controller is significantly more computationally efficient compared to MPC and requires fewer parameters to learn than MLP controllers. Real-world experiments on vehicle drift maneuvering task demonstrate the potential of these controllers for robotics and other demanding control tasks.

Abstract:
Based on $(10087\pm44)\times10^{6}$ $J/ψ$ events collected with the BESIII detector, a partial wave analysis of the decay $J/ψ\rightarrowγK^{0}_{S}K^{0}_{S}η^{\prime}$ is performed. The mass and width of the $X(2370)$ are measured to be $2395 \pm 11 ({\rm stat})^{+26}_{-94}({\rm syst})\ \mathrm{MeV}/c^{2}$ and $188^{+18}_{-17}({\rm stat})^{+124}_{-33}({\rm syst})~\mathrm{MeV}$, respectively. The corresponding product branching fraction is $\mathcal{B}[J/ψ\rightarrowγX(2370)] \times \mathcal{B}[X(2370) \rightarrow f_{0}(980)η^{\prime}] \times \mathcal{B}[f_{0}(980) \rightarrow K^{0}_{S}K^{0}_{S}] = \left( 1.31 \pm 0.22 ({\rm stat})^{+2.85}_{-0.84}({\rm syst}) \right) \times 10^{-5}$. The statistical significance of the $X(2370)$ is greater than $11.7σ$ and the spin-parity is determined to be $0^{-+}$ for the first time. The measured mass and spin-parity of the $X(2370)$ are consistent with the predictions of the lightest pseudoscalar glueball.

We study the size-mass relation (SMR) and recent star formation history (SFH) of post-starburst (PSB) galaxies in the local Universe, using spatially resolved spectroscopy from the final data release of MaNGA. Our sample includes 489 PSB galaxies: 94 cPSB galaxies with central PSB regions, 85 rPSB galaxies with ring-like PSB regions and 310 iPSB galaxies with irregular PSB regions. When compared to control galaxies of similar SFR, redshift and mass, a similar SMR is found for all types of PSB samples except the cPSB galaxies which have smaller sizes at intermediate masses ($9.5\lesssim \log_{10}(\rm M_\ast/M_\odot)\lesssim 10.5$). The iPSB galaxies in the star-forming sequence (iPSB-SF) show no/weak gradients in $\textrm{D}_{n}(4000)$, $\textrm{EW}(\textrm{H}δ_{A})$ and $\textrm{EW}(\textrm{H}α)$, consistent with the global star-forming status of this type of galaxies, while the quiescent iPSB (iPSB-Q) sample shows negative gradients in $\textrm{D}_{n}(4000)$ and positive gradients in $\textrm{EW}(\textrm{H}δ_{A})$, indicating older stellar populations in the inner regions. Both cPSB and rPSB samples show positive gradients in $\textrm{D}_{n}(4000)$ and negative gradients in $\textrm{EW}(\textrm{H}δ_{A})$, indicating younger stellar populations in the inner regions. These results imply that the four types of PSB galaxies can be broadly divided into two distinct categories in terms of evolutionary pathway: (1) iPSB-SF and iPSB-Q which have SMRs and SFHs similar to control galaxies, preferring an inside-out quenching process, (2) rPSB and cPSB which appear to be different stages of the same event, likely to follow the outside-in quenching process driven by disruption events such as mergers that result in a more compact structure as quenching proceeds.

Using integral field spectroscopy from MaNGA, we study the resolved microstructures in a shocked region in Criss Cross Nebula (CCN), with an unprecedentedly high resolution of $\lesssim$1000 AU. We measure surface brightness maps for 34 emission lines, which can be broadly divided into three categories: (1) the [OIII] $λ$5007-like group including seven high-ionization lines and two [OII] auroral lines which uniformly present a remarkable lane structure, (2) the H$α$ $λ$6563-like group including 23 low-ionization or recombination lines which present a clump-like structure, and (3) [OII] $λ$3726 and [OII] $λ$3729 showing high densities at both the [OIII] $λ$5007 lane and the H$α$ clump. We use these measurements to constrain resolved shock models implemented in MAPPINGS V. We find our data can be reasonably well-fitted by a model which includes a plane-parallel shock with a velocity of $133\pm5$ km/s, plus an isotropic two-dimensional Gaussian component which is likely another clump of gas ionized by photons from the shocked region, and a constant background. We compare the electron density and temperature profiles as predicted by our model with those calculated using observed emission line ratios. We find different line ratios to provide inconsistent temperature maps, and the discrepancies can be attributed to observational effects caused by limited spatial resolution and projection of the shock geometry, as well as contamination of the additional Gaussian component. Implications on shock properties and perspectives on future IFS-based studies of CCN are discussed.

Using $e^+e^-$ annihilation data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 $\rm fb^{-1}$ taken at the center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=3.773$~GeV with the BESIII detector, a joint amplitude analysis is performed on the decays $D^0\toπ^+π^-π^+π^-$ and $D^0\toπ^+π^-π^0π^0$(non-$η$). The fit fractions of individual components are obtained, and large interferences among the dominant components of $D^{0}\to a_{1}(1260)π$, $D^{0}\toπ(1300)π$, $D^{0}\toρ(770)ρ(770)$ and $D^{0}\to2(ππ)_{S}$ are found in both channels. With the obtained amplitude model, the $CP$-even fractions of $D^0\to π^+π^-π^+π^-$ and $D^0\toπ^+π^-π^0π^0$(non-$η$) are determined to be $(75.2\pm1.1_{\rm stat.}\pm1.5_{\rm syst.})\%$ and $(68.9\pm1.5_{\rm stat.}\pm 2.4_{\rm syst.})\%$, respectively. The branching fractions of $D^0\to π^+π^-π^+π^-$ and $D^0\toπ^+π^-π^0π^0$(non-$η$) are measured to be $(0.688\pm0.010_{\rm stat.}\pm 0.010_{\rm syst.})\%$ and $(0.951\pm0.025_{\rm stat.}\pm 0.021_{\rm syst.})\%$, respectively. The amplitude analysis provides an important model for binning strategy in the measurements of the strong phase parameters of $D^0 \to 4π$ when used to determine the CKM angle $γ(φ_{3})$ via the $B^{-}\to D K^{-}$ decay.
