New physics in B_s^0 -> J/ψφdecays?
Abstract: After a brief review of B_s^0 - \bar B_s^0 oscillations, we discuss the weak decays B_s^0 -> J/ψφand B_s^0 -> J/ψf_0(980) and the ratio R_{f_0/φ} of their decay rates in the light of recent measurements by the LHCb, D0 and CDF Collaborations. We point out that the experimental values for R_{f_0/φ} impose tight limits on new physics contributions to both decay channels.

The pion wave function in covariant light-front dynamics
Abstract: The structure of the pion wave function in the relativistic constituent quark model is investigated in the explicitly covariant formulation of light-front dynamics. Scalar resonance effects on the B_s - \bar B_s mixing angle

We point out that the ratio of our calculated widths, $Γ(B_s^0\to J/ψf_0(980), f_0(980)\to π^+π^-)/ Γ(B_s^0 \to J/ψφ,φ\to K^+K^-)$, strongly indicates that $S$-wave effects in the $f_0(980)$'s daughter pions or kaons cannot be ignored in th… ▽ More

Abstract: We show that a VMD based theoretical input allows for a significantly improved accuracy for the hadronic vacuum polarization of the photon which contributes to the theoretical estimate of the muon g-2. Scalar resonances in a unitary $π-π$ $S$-wave model for $D^+ \to π^+ π^- π^+$
Abstract: We propose a model for $D^+ \to π^+ π^- π^+$ decays following experimental results which indicate that the two-pion interaction in the $S$-wave is dominated by the scalar resonances $f_0(600)/σ$ and $f_0(980)$. The weak decay amplitude for $D^+\to R π^+$, where $R$ is a resonance that subsequently decays into $π^+π^-$, is constructed in a factorization approach. In the $S$-wave, we implement the… ▽ More

A naive model, constrained by D branching ratios, is derived in order to make predictions on the wave functions of the $f_0(600)$ and $a_0(980)$ mesons. This leads us to compute transition form factors between the pseudoscalar $B$ and scalar mesons.

Resonances and weak interactions in $D^+ \toπ^+ π^- π^+$ decays
Abstract: We describe the $ππ$ $S$-wave in $D^+ \toπ^+ π^- π^+$ decays using a unitary model for the $ππ$ Final State Interactions (FSI). The three body decay is treated as a quasi two-body process where, at the weak vertex, the D meson decays into a resonance and a pion. The weak part of the decay amplitude is evaluated using the effective weak Hamiltonian within the factorization approximation.
